A novel ladder-type fluorinatedpoly(arylene ether) copolymer containing perfluorinated biphenylene and trifluoromethyl fragments as well as dibenzodioxin and spirobisindane units was synthesized by the double-aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction from 5,5\6,6'-tetrahydroxy-3,3,3\3'-tetramethyl-1,1 '-spirobisindane monomer and an equimolar amount of two fluorinated monomers. The chemical structure of the prepared copolymer was determined using 1H, 199F NMR and FTIR spectroscopy techniques. The obtained polymer was completely soluble in chloroform and tetrahydrofuran, but insoluble in such solvents as dimethylsulfoxide and dime thy lformamide. It is shown that the synthesized polyether has average molecular weight (MJ equal to 54600 and good thermo-oxidative stability (up to 400 °C). No glass transition temperature or other thermal transitions were found from the copolymer DSC curve up to 300 °C. The presence of both rigid ladder dibenzodioxin units and spirobisindane fragments (site of contortion) in its structure leads to decreasing the packing density of macromolecular chains that is promising for the regulation of transport properties of polymeric systems. By diazotization of isomeric fluorinated diamines following the azocoupling with 2 - [ethyl(phenyl)amino]ethanol hydroxyethylated diamines were synthesized, combining in their composition azo-groups and fragments of tetrafluorobenzene and octafluorobiphenyl. The values of their molecular hyperpolarizability are calculated and the relationship between the chemical structure and nonlinear optical properties of fluorinated azo-containing chromophores is established. The "structure -- glass-transition temperature" relationship was estimated via mathematical methods and computer modeling (method QSPR) to optimize the synthesis of aromatic polyethers on the base of decafluorobiphenyl with the preset values of Tg. The different algorithms were created as a result of used approach. These algorithms can be used to design the structure of the mentioned polymers with necessary values Tg. Efficiency of the found statistical models was checked up by experimental data obtained from purposeful synthesis of new polyethers on the base of decafluorobiphenyl, containing aminomethylated fragment in the side chain. Properties of new film-forming nucleus-fluorinated aromatic polyethers comprising tertiary and quaternary atoms of nitrogen (in the form of salts) have been investigated. Introduction of specified nitrogen atoms into polymers, alongside with change in the aminoalkyl fragment chemical construction, allows to control their mechanical and physico-chemical features in a wide range. Ammonium salts were successfully transformed into polymeric ammonium basis, static ion-exchange capacity of which is not lesser than that of sulfonated fluorocontaining aromatic polyethers. By interaction of decafluorobiphenyl and 1,4-bis(hydroxyphenoxy)tetrafluorobenzene, comprising hydroxyl groups in ortho-, meta- and para-position, was obtained aromatic polyether, containing perfluorinated mono- and biphenylene fragments in its' repeating units, separated by nonfluorinated phenylenoxyde groups. The polymers obtained are good soluble in organic solvents and characterized by reduced glass transition temperature.
