The purpose of this paper is to establish the extent to which Oman is capable of attracting more of the foreign direct investment (FDI) through dunning model instruments. The results of the analysis are determined using responses provided by the foreign companies concerning the features of Oman. Data used in the analysis were collected from 30 different foreign companies operating in Dhofar region of Oman using questionnaires. ANOVA test, Chi-square tests and Friedman's mean ranks were carried out to test the homogeneity and magnitude of the responses given by the respective companies. the findings of Effect size analysis indicate that Oman's system structure, Policy framework, provision of facilities and ease of access are strongly contributing in attracting FDI. However, Oman needs to focus on the improvement of business friendly environment and compassionate policy formation in favor of investors.

Online product recommendation (OPR) plays critical role in purchasing products, but less attention has been given to examine the differential impact of distinct recommendation sources on customer's decision beliefs and behaviour. This study investigates and unfolds the distinct effects of system generated recommendation (SGR) and consumer generated recommendation (CGR) on customers' decision effort and decision quality along with the analysis of their mediating effects on OPR reuse and purchase intentions. The study tests a conceptual model based on effort-accuracy model linking SGR and CGR to perceived decision effort and decision quality in two different product settings (search versus experience products). An online survey is conducted with Amazon customers and results of valid 482 responses reveal that users of CGR (compared to SGR) express higher decision quality, while SGR (compared to CGR) is more effective in minimizing users' decision effort. Decision factors subsequently mediate the effects of OPR use on OPR reuse and purchase intentions. Purpose: This systematic literature review provides an overview of the entrepreneurship education research, by outlining the recent trends of research on entrepreneurship education. This research study has two primary goals. First one is the identification and categorization of the entrepreneurship education in scientific research by providing sequential distribution of published articles, and the research output of scientific journals, authors, and different countries. Another goal is to recognize the themes of research that are most developed and examined by the researchers. Design/methodology/approach: This research systematically examines published scientific documents on entrepreneurship education taken from Scopus database ranging from 1950 to 2021. A total of 1,531 articles were selected for final analysis after a systematic process of elimination based on specific criteria. VOSviewer was used for bibliographic coupling, keyword co-occurrence, distance based mapping, clustering, and co-citation analysis of articles, countries, journals, and authors. Findings: The systematic literature review revealed that in the last 15 years, scientific literature has shown a variation in direction of research in this area. The literature has moved from focusing on traditional means of entrepreneurship education towards more subtle and output-oriented factors of entrepreneurship education such as intentions, motivation, attitude, and behavior. The most popular topic among researchers and with the greater number of published papers is entrepreneurial intentions, and it is closely related to practice, innovation, and entrepreneurial learning. Originality/value: This is one of the few systematic literature reviews on entrepreneurship education, and perhaps the only systematic review that analyzes literature on entrepreneurship education from 1950 to 2021 with VOSviewer analysis techniques.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop and empirically test the student engagement scale and to understand the factors that contribute to student engagement at higher educational institutions. Design/methodology/approach: The investigation started with a rummage for variables, available in the literature, 59 in numbers, which were then used to collect data from a sample of university students in Lahore, Pakistan. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was applied to develop an initial structure of the construct. A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was then conducted to confirm the reliability and validity of these factors for the student engagement construct. Findings: It has been found that factors, predominantly social and exogenous to the classroom environment, such as campus atmosphere and facilities, are more responsible for creating engagement among students at higher educational institutions of Pakistan. Originality/value: This is one of the pioneer studies for developing a student engagement scale for measuring the students' engagement in higher educational institutions. The authors believe that the scale developed in this study contributes substantially to the student engagement literature. Limitations, future research directions and implications are discussed.

This study aims to get a deep understanding of the causes, effects, and remedies of information overload (IO) phenomenon among postgraduate scholars in the era of advanced internet technology. In-depth semi-structured face-to-face interviews and focus group interviews were implemented. Majority of the participants in this study exposed that IO represents real inescapable suffering that severely affects their research performance in different stages of their research. Time-consuming, cost, inferior research work, and poor personal health, isolation, low level of creativity and productivity are some of the major drawbacks resulted from IO. The collected data were thematically analysed using NVivo 12 software; the results were introduced five main themes that described information overload's forms, causes, consequences, and the ways to overcome IO phenomenon. Some practical insights and implications were provided to the decision-makers and professionals in higher education institutions to manage information overload and to reduce its negative effects among postgraduate students.

Developing an inclusive policy agenda for ensuring sustainable development is a challenge for both developed and developing countries. The developing countries face challenges in designing policy that achieves sustainable development goals based on environmental awareness, and that is one of the main contributions of this research. By taking into account the SDG 13 (climate action) and 7 (clean and affordable energy) this study examines the influence of education, natural resource availability, financial development, urbanization, and economic growth for ASEAN nations from 1991 to 2018. For an empirical estimate, second-generation approaches are used. The findings demonstrate the energizing influence of renewable energy usage in altering the environmental quality. According to the empirical findings, renewable energy and education lower CO2 emissions by 0.46% and 0.22%, respectively. Financial development, urbanization, and natural resource depletion all have a 0.14%, 0.03%, and 0.08% impact on the environment, respectively. The heterogeneous causality analysis reveals the feedback effect, i.e., bidirectional causal links between education, carbon emissions, and the use of renewable energy. This empirical data implies that nations should enhance investment in renewable energy and education sectors, as well as prepare for renewable energy research and development, to ensure environmental sustainability. This research has policy implications for ASEAN countries in terms of renewable energy and education investments. This article explores the green entrepreneurial inclination of youth and sustainable development in Oman. It focuses on the role of educational institutions, particularly universities, in promoting green entrepreneurship among university students. The study found that perceived support from universities, such as business development support and concept development support, had a positive impact on green entrepreneurial inclinations. Additionally, green entrepreneurial inclinations were found to have a positive impact on sustainable competencies. The study suggests that universities should provide support and resources to foster green entrepreneurship among students, highlighting the important role they play in promoting green entrepreneurship in Oman. This article explores the role of university support in promoting green entrepreneurial inclinations among youth in Oman. The study develops a theoretical framework that covers personality factors, support factors, and the moderating role of institutional support. The research methodology involves quantitative analysis and synthesis of green entrepreneurial literature, with data collected from 384 students. The findings highlight the need for further research into green entrepreneurial intentions and provide a proposed and tested model of green entrepreneurial inclination. The study aims to evaluate the factors that can be incorporated into the process of selection and recruitment for business growth in Pakistan. An exploratory study based on the content analysis technique was applied to conduct this research. This study found that the performance of the employee and the procedures of selection and recruitment play a significant role in business growth. This study has also identified that the recruitment process is more helpful for the selection of the right candidate for the job. With the help of the appropriate recruitment structures, the human resource management department will be capable of choosing the right employee. It is found that the more skilled and qualified individuals play an essential role in the growth of the organization. Only the selection and recruitment of the right employee is not enough for the growth of the business, but the provision of the more appropriate working environment for the employees plays an important role to increase their performance that a relationship with the productivity and growth of the organization. It is also explored that after the selection of the right employee, it is more critical for the organization to keep them motivated for decreasing the job turnover by increasing the employee retention ratio.
