This article examines the complex relationship between scientific advances and the interpretation/commentary of hadith, or the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad in Islam. The historical context of hadith commentaries is investigated, with a focus on the evolution of interpretive traditions from simple explanations to comprehensive works. The research ultimately focuses on the paradigm shift in hadith commentary influenced by early modern reformist orientations that sought to reconcile Islamic teachings with contemporary scientific knowledge. A case study examines the emergence of scientific interpretation by analysing a hadith from Sahih Muslim in light of modern scientific understanding. The article discusses the difficulties and controversies surrounding the integration of scientific data into hadith commentaries, emphasizing the dynamic nature of science as well as the distinct epistemological origins of hadith and science. It concludes by proposing a dynamic approach to the study of hadith and its commentaries, allowing for the re-evaluation of approaches in light of evolving scientific knowledge. Several cell populations derived from bone marrow (BM) have been shown to possess cardiac regenerative potential. Among these are freshly isolated CD133+ hematopoietic as well as culture-expanded mesenchymal stem cells. Alternatively, by purifying CD271+ cells from BM, mesenchymal progenitors can be enriched without an ex vivo cultivation. With regard to the limited available number of freshly isolated BM-derived stem cells, the effect of the dosage on the therapeutic efficiency is of particular interest. Therefore, in the present pre-clinical study, we investigated human BM-derived CD133+ and CD271+ stem cells for their cardiac regenerative potential three weeks post-myocardial infarction (MI) in a dose-dependent manner. The improvement of the hemodynamic function as well as cardiac remodeling showed no therapeutic difference after the transplantation of both 100,000 and 500,000 stem cells. Therefore, beneficial stem cell transplantation post-MI is widely independent of the cell dose and detrimental stem cell amplification in vitro can likely be avoided.

Oberauer et al. (2018) report the results of an ambitious project to identify key or "benchmark" empirical findings that have been associated with the concept of working memory. This commentary questions the utility of setting different levels of priority for previous findings for the purposes of advancing theoretical understanding. This gives undue weight to well-established findings that are studied by large numbers of researchers, at the expense of new, or less well researched findings that could be just as, if not more important for theory development. The risk from prioritizing is that ever larger numbers of researchers will focus on well known findings, and how these findings might be explained by favored theoretical approaches. It may act to inhibit innovation, new discoveries and the development of more integrated rather than ever more fractionated theories. An unprioritized, and regularly updated repository of working memory findings with cross referencing of consistency and inconsistency across paradigms, phenomena, and theoretical frameworks would be much more valuable for facilitating new theoretical and empirical advances. The analysis within the following study looks upon the essential phenomena regarding the Historic-Critical Pedagogy as a school and educational scientific advance. The concept of Historic-Critical Pedagogy has been used since 1979, and in 1991 professor Saviani presented the book Historic-Critical Pedagogy: First approaches, demonstrating such approaches as a transforming and critical education, which has as its core the "production mode". The debates show the hegemony of the progressive thinking within the theoretical discussions. The book finds itself within the historical materialism as the theoretical basis, which tries to seek the objective movement of the historical process. Such theory conceives MAN through the dialectichistorical materialism, which overcome the theories that do not value the daily social practice. The Historic- Critical Pedagogy prioritizes the scientific contents, study methods, abilities and the scientific thinking habit as a way to form the critical awareness regarding the social reality by using MAN as a an important player in history who is able to transform society and himself. Some general features about the role of Science and Technology in the modern western civilizations are discussed, emphasizing those related to Chemistry. The discussion is centered on the social regulation of technological and scientific institutions and on the way this regulation takes place in response to social demands. Finally, some new trends are presented about the Brazilian chemistry courses and how the local educational authorities intend to modernize them.

Assessments of scientific contributions critically influence decisions about grant funding and academic promotion. Unfortunately, there is a tendency for more junior and less assertive individuals to receive less credit than deserved. Acknowledgement of the complexity of relationships among researchers and the different modes of contributing to scientific progress could improve this situation. The thermodynamics of ligand binding is arguably among the most quantitative and empirically validated theoretical frameworks that permit precise apportionment of “credit” to multiple interacting entities that collectively account for a biologically relevant outcome, in this case, receptor–ligand complex formation. The process for assigning credit for research advances to individual researchers might benefit from emulating this thermodynamic thought process by recognizing that contributions of equal quantitative significance can be of different types and can originate through indirect effects. If the hypothesis that some categories of research contribution are frequently under-valued is correct, then calling attention to this state of affairs and providing an alternative way to conceptualize the task of credit attribution has the potential to begin altering the status quo. A beginning step to improving our credit attribution process would be the empirical investigation of accounts of contributions to particular scientific advances from all research team members.
