This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of LOK-R (Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, Reflection) learning strategies on scientific literacy skills. This type of research includes pre-experimental research with a one-group pre-test and post-test research design. This research was conducted at MI Islamiyah Kalimukti with a sample of 15 students. Data were collected by conducting a pre-test to determine students' initial scientific literacy skills and a post-test to determine the increase in students' scientific literacy abilities after implementing the LOK-R learning strategy. Research data were analyzed using descriptive and quantitative analysis. The n-gain study showed an increase in the average pretest and posttest results. Before implementing the LOK-R learning strategy, the average pretest of students was 56.47; then, it increased to 81.33 in the posttest results of students after implementing the LOK-R learning strategy. Likewise, the paired sample test results obtained a significant value of 0.000

The 21st-century competencies students need to have include creative thinking skills, critical thinking skills, literacy, and numeracy. These competencies can be developed in the learning process in class explicitly. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Multirepresentation Based Creative Problem-Solving (MBCPS) learning model in improving students’ critical and creative thinking skills. The MBCPS Model Syntax consists of four stages: 1) problem identification, 2) finding ideas, 3) evaluating ideas with multiple representations (verbal, visual, and mathematical), and 4) validating solutions. The MBCPS model was applied to the experimental group and the Problem-Solving (PS) learning model in the comparison group on four study programs, natural science education. culinary education, public health science, and nutrition science with material on the science of nutrition. The difference between before and after learning was tested by Mann-Whitney, and N-gain tested the effectiveness. The results showed that before learning, there was no difference in critical and creative thinking skills, with a p-value > 0.05 between the experimental group and the comparison group. After learning, there was a very significant difference (p < 0.05). Learning the MBCPS model can improve critical thinking skills with an N-gain of 0.72 (high category) and creative thinking skills with an N-gain of 0.67 (medium category). The MBCPS learning model can be implemented on a broader scale according to the characteristics of complex course material to develop models in the field of education.

This research aimed to describe the validity of a numeracy literacy assessment instrument of electromagnetic induction based on minimum capability assessment (MCA) which was develop using Rasch model analysis assisted by Winstep software. The research employed the research and development design with a modified Mardapi model. The instrument was constructed by developing fifteen questions. The analysis of the instrument was utilized to measure the construct and item validity, reliability, item difficulty level, and item discriminatory. This research involved 32 participants in the small-scale test and 206 participants in the large-scale trial. The test result showed that the fifteen questions were suitable to use because it has values that meet the criteria for all measurement variables both on small scale and large-scale tests and could be assess students' numeracy literacy skills.

This research is the development of local wisdom-based e-comics to increase scientific literacy. Learning media can help achieve learning objectives. This study aims to develop e-comic learning media based on local wisdom to improve scientific literacy in grade IV elementary school. The type of research used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study used test subjects by carrying out validity tests on media experts, material experts, learning experts and the responses of ten fourth grade elementary school students. Data collection using a questionnaire instrument. Research data were analyzed by means of descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The results of the media expert validator are categorized as very valid. The results of the material expert validator are categorized as very valid. The results of the learning expert validator are categorized as very valid. As well as the results of the responses of ten fourth grade elementary school students categorized as very valid. The overall results of the validator test are categorized as very valid so that e-comic media based on local wisdom can be used with learning alternative energy sources in grade IV Elementary School Science lessons.

Pre-service teachers need creative thinking and problem solving skills to support their teaching quality. The aims of this research: (1) problems in science teaching, creative thinking and problem solving skills of pre-service teachers; (2) improvements of creative thinking and problem solving skills of pre-service teachers through Ethno-SETSaR Science Teaching Approach, and (3) relationship pattern of critical thinking and problem solving skills. The research method applied in this study was sequential exploratory mix method. The research design consisted of five stages: 1) qualitative data gathering; 2) qualitative data analysis; 3) quantitative data gathering; 4) quantitative data analysis and 5) data interpretation. The subjects of this research were 80 pre-service teachers from two universities. The research instruments were essay tests of creative and problem solving skills. The data analysis used was independent T Test. It could be concluded from qualitative study that science teaching practice was still oriented on content knowledge mastery. It did not improve creative thinking and problem solving skills. Science teaching with Ethno-SETSaR approach was applied as foundation to quantitative study. The result of quantitative study was there was difference in creative thinking and problem solving skills of pre-service teachers. The pre-service teachers enrolling science teaching with Ethno-SETSaR approach had higher scores. There was correlation of creative thinking affecting problem solving skills.

This study aimed to i) analyse learning problems in science at boarding schools for junior high school students and ii) determine the effectiveness of science learning in the context of Islamic teachings using the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, -religion (STEM-R) approach to improve reflective and critical thinking skills. The research method applied in this study was a sequential exploratory mixed method. The research design consisted of five stages: i) qualitative data gathering, ii) qualitative data analysis, iii) quantitative data gathering, iv) quantitative data analysis, and v) data interpretation. The subjects of this study were 192 students from boarding schools and were divided into 6 groups. The research results obtained were the school, parents, science teachers and religion teachers' vision and mission causing students to like or dislike science. An excellent teacher is viewed by students as someone who can make learning enjoyable, exhibit creativity in presenting educational material, possess the ability to motivate, link science and religion, engage in investigative activities, infuse humour, establish connections between science and everyday life, and communicate concepts effectively. Moreover, distinctions in reflective thinking and critical thinking abilities were observed between the experimental group and the control group. Learning that connects science and Islamic religion and examines STEM-R aspects is able to develop students' thinking skills.

Learning in 21st Century focuses on the development of students learning activities in order to increase their creativity through creative products. This study aims to describe the implementation of Project-based Learning model using STREAM-based approach (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) on students learning activities and the results of creative products made by students. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data source was chosen using purposive sampling technique. The research subjects are 3 elementary schools in Banjarmasin city, amounting to 80 students. Data collection techniques were done through observation and product assesment. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model using STREAM-based approach had an effect on increasing the result of students learning up to 92.1 (very good), and their activeness in learning activities made them become more creative in designing an interesting product. In this study there were 4 creative products created by the students namely drip irrigation, water cycle, water quality test, and religious-based picture story booklets. The implication of this research is a great opportunity for teachers in elementary schools to use PjBL model using STREAM-based approach in order to increase students’ interest, creativity, and social attitudes in learning.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan pola pemecahan masalah berdasarkan tingkat pemecahan masalah peserta didik melalui pembelajaran flipped classroom berbasis proyek. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan quasi eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-postest desaign. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 14 Semarang tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dengan subjek penelitian 65 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA. Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Analisis data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dalam pembelajaran flipped classroom berbasis proyek tergolong tinggi dengan jumlah peserta didik 57%. Peserta didik memiliki pola pemecahan masalah yang berbeda-beda berdasarkan tingkat pemecahan masalah. Peserta didik kategori sangat tinggi melakukan penyelesaian dengan membaca, memahami masalah, menganalisis, merencanakan strategi penyelesaian, menerapkan dan mengevaluasi seluruh solusi. Peserta didik kategori tinggi melakukan penyelesaian dengan membaca, memahami masalah, menganalisis, merencanakan strategi penyelesaian, menerapkan dan mengevaluasi solusi matematis. Peserta didik kategori rendah melakukan penyelesaian dengan membaca, memahami masalah, menganalisis, menentukan masalah. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the ability of problem-solving and problem-solving patterns based on the level of problem-solving of students through project-based flipped classroom learning. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest village design. The study was conducted at SMAN 14 Semarang in the academic year 2019/2020 with the research subjects 65 students of class XI MIPA. Samples were obtained through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are done using tests and interviews. Data analysis of problem-solving ability is done descriptively. The results show that the students' problem-solving ability in project-based flipped classroom learning is relatively high with 57% of students. Students have different patterns of problem-solving based on the level of problem-solving. Very high category students complete the solution by reading, understanding the problem, analyzing, planning a settlement strategy, implementing and evaluating all solutions. High category students do the settlement by reading, understanding the problem, analyzing, planning a settlement strategy, implementing and evaluating mathematical solutions. Low category students do the settlement by reading, understanding the problem, analyzing, determining the problem. Argumentation skills are an important domain to be provided to students in higher education. This study aims to identify the level and category of scientific argumentation skills among students. The method used in this research is content analysis. Twenty-three students’ written scientific arguments about environmental issues were analyzed to be mapped. The mapping analysis of students’ written arguments is divided into two parts. Mapping analysis of students’ written arguments is grouped into two parts. First, the analysis focuses on the completeness of the argumentation components without considering their scientificity. Second, the analysis is more emphasized on the argumentation component and the scientific level of the argument. The research findings illustrate that the argumentation component without a scientific level is dominated by grade 2 (ie Data, Claims and/or Warrants). Meanwhile, the research results on the argumentation component and the scientific level of argumentation are dominated by the Unacceptable-Incorrect Scientific Knowledge (SU-2) category. Thus, written argumentation skills must be taught to students comprehensively. This study is important for lecturers because it provides an overview of the ability of scientific argumentation among students, which then helps lecturers in determining the next step in the learning process by adopting appropriate teaching strategies.

Abstrak: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dalam dua siklus pada pengimplementasian Metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation (Gi) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VI SDN Sintung Barat Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Dengan tujuan mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika, menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 61,5 dan prosentase ketuntasannya 77,27%. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 67,5 dan prosentase ketuntasannya 86,36%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode Group Investigasi pelajaran matematika kelas VI SDN Sintung Barat Tahun 2015/2016 dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Abstract: Classroom Action Research in two cycles on Implementation of Cooperative Learning Method Group Group Investigation (Gi) To Improve Student Results Class VI SDN Sintung Barat Lesson Year 2015/2016. With the aim of knowing the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes, using observation sheet instrument and student learning result test. The result showed an increase in student learning outcomes in the first cycle average score of student learning outcomes of 61.5 and the percentage of completeness 77.27%. In the second cycle the average value of student learning outcomes 67.5 and the percentage of completeness 86.36%. It can be concluded that the use of Group Investigation method of grade 6 mathematics lesson of SDN Sintung Barat Year 2015/2016 can improve learning outcomes.

In the 21st-century, we need a generation who can read and face the challenges of the times. The research aimed to master patterns of science with the next generation science standards (NGSS) standards of junior high school students in north coastal areas of Java Island. The research method is quantitative expose-facto and subjects were 228 students determined by purposive sampling. The students who come from Tegal, Pekalongan, Pati and Demak Regencies north coastal Java Island, Indonesia. The results showed a significant difference between the achievement of students in Tegal, Pekalongan, Pati, and Demak Regencies (p=0.012; [direct proportionality]=0.05). Based on the analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, there was a significant difference between the groups of students' achievements in mastery of science oriented NGSS. It can be concluded that the achievement among students from four different regions is quite significant. Students from families with middle and upper economic levels have low achievement but students with low economic levels have high academic achievement.

This research investigated how the multirepresentation-based creative problem-solving (MBCPS) learning model could enhance students' critical thinking skills in relation to the Nutritional Quality of Diet. The research subjects were 72 students of the Culinary Education study program in Nutrition Science, consisting of an experimental group of 36 students with MBCPS and 36 students forming a control group using conventional problem solving. The MBCPS model consists of four stages, namely problem identification, idea generation, evaluation, and validation. The students' critical thinking skill was measured using a multiple-choice test of balanced nutrition. The Nutritional Quality of Diet is calculated from the average level of nutritional adequacy. Data analysis involved techniques using N-gain and t test. The achievement of student activities in the four stages of learning before and after the implementation of the MBCPS model experienced an increase from 52% to 68 % (p < 0.00). There was no difference in the critical thinking skills scores obtained by the experimental and the control groups before implementing the model (p=0.45). After implementing the CPSBM model, the critical thinking skills scores achieved by the experimental and control groups were 71% and 68%, which was significantly different (p = 0.00). An application of the model resulted for an increase of the critical thinking skills and the nutritional quality of diet got an N-gain of 0.47 and 0.28. The MBCPS model has prospects for development in a wider branch of knowledge in the scope of University Health Education.

Tujuan penelitian adalah memberi pembekalan keterampilan pembuatan media CD pembelajaran berbasis excel dan power point bagi guru MA dan MTs di pondok pesantren Baitussalam Semarang. Subjek kegiatan adalah 20 guru (ustadz) pondok pesantren Baitussalam. Hasil uji Gain Faktor menunjukkan grup penerima kegiatan memperoleh 0,59 (sedang) dan kelompok yang lain 0,48 (sedang), hasil ini menunjukkan perbedaan peningkatan kompetensi profesional. Berdasarkan data lembar observasi dapat dinyatakan bahwa skor 81 dan 80 telah dicapai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini disimpulkan bahwa praktik pemanfaatan media telah diimplementasikan oleh guru dengan baik. Dengan demikian kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan para guru PP Baitussalam, sehingga guru diharapkan dapat memotivasi dan menciptakan iklim yang kondusif dalam kelas. Teknik presentasi mengajar di depan kelas (peerteaching) yang siswanya peserta diklat, dapat menciptakan berbag pengalaman dan kepekaan sosial dalam upaya peningkatan daya serap dan pemahaman yang benar terhadap konsep profesionalisasi dan pemahaman media pembelajaran, sehingga tidak terjadi kesalahan pemahaman konsep.
