SOCIAL movements , *COMMUNITY-based participatory research , *SOCIAL institutions , *SOCIAL cohesion , *SOCIAL policy , *NONPROFIT sector - Abstract
Social movements are the main actor of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). In order to understand the synergies and conflicts between the SSE and the public sphere, it is of particular interest to analyse the relations between popular movements and government institutions. This article investigates the degree of cogovernance, in social policies, between movements and governments of the so-called progressive wave in Latin America. The subject of study is the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) and its social missions, as well as the Continental Articulation of Social Movements towards ALBA (ALBA Movimientos) and its political training schools. This work is based on Participatory Action Research, developed over more than 7 years, with stays in Argentina, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil and Chile. There have been used the techniques of participant observation and more than 40 in-depth interviews with government representatives and militants from social movements. The analysed dimensions focus on defining conversational partners, spaces, decision-making models, funding and the educational method in the possible practice of co-governance. Regarding the results, it is worth noting that, despite the efforts made and the progress achieved in deepening the relationship between social movements and public institutions in social policies, in none of the Latin American countries does cogovernance exist in strict terms. This article aims to articulate a political formation that I term Indigenous internationalist feminism, which centers a critique of US imperialism and is premised on three intellectual and political traditions: radical Indigenous internationalism, Black left feminism, and queer Indigenous feminism. Indigenous internationalist feminism provides a framework for transnational Indigenous practices that seek to build counterhegemonic power with other anticolonial, anti-imperial, and anti-capitalist liberation struggles, both within and outside of the United States. At the center of these practices is an ethics of expansive relationality between humans, and between humans and our other-than-human kin.

POLITICAL parties ,HUNGARIANS ,PUBLIC relations ,ADULTS ,COMMUNISTS - Abstract
The study tries to give a thorough picture of the most important Hungarian party in Northern Transylvania, reintegrated in Hungary after the Second Vienna Award. The Transylvanian Party gathered the Hungarians of Northern Transylvania together as no other Hungarian political formation in history. In January 1942 it had 243,500 members, which means that every fourth Hungarian adult in Northern Transylvania was member of the party. Due to this fact, the Transylvanian Party is almost forgotten today, because during the Communist regime it was considered to be an extreme right party, and it was totally impossible to study this topic. The study describes this unique political party by focusing on the foundation of the Transylvanian Party, its leaders and members, its ideology, and its representation in the Hungarian Parliament. The relations of the party with the government, with other Hungarian parties from the motherland and with the national minorities in Northern Transylvania are also analysed. The study finally presents the decline of this political formation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This research analyzes the Afro-Honduran youth political leadership based on nine legally documented cases of racial discrimination, social segregation and xenophobia. The qualitative analysis of the problem is based on social imaginaries oriented towards interdisciplinary thinking on new pedagogical strategies for leadership training. The judicial content of the cases is related to the oral testimonies that narrate the events of violence and violation of rights that led the young participants to create training content from a distance, to maintain a joint training project. Wide pedagogical, socio-legal and transdisciplinary content was found to advance a proposal for training in ethno-political leadership. In conclusion, the realization of didactic material from case studies allows the advancement of the curricular design in human rights., Esta pesquisa analisa a liderança política da juventude afro-hondura com base em nove casos legalmente documentados de discriminação racial, segregação social e xenofobia. Following the 2001 crisis, several collectives of workers thrive in Argentina; sprouting from those days of struggle, such collectives articulate and settle ‘alternative’ organizations to the ones already existing, having strengthened themselves in the following years. Educational professionals are also an expression of this movement. This article analyzesthe experience in organizing the Encuentro Colectivo Docente(ECD) of the Province of Buenos Aires, a political trade union that, from its class perspective, seeks to build up resistance and new practices within the educational sector, struggling for singular ways of participation and organization, towards the trade union internally as well as to the educational community in general.

The paper discusses the process of reform of the public teaching career in the framework of the democratic transition after the fall of the Fujimori regime at the end of 2000. In this scenario, the "teaching problem" was placed in the public debate, confronting it with the new axis of understanding the problem of public education focused on quality. The reform radically changed the mechanisms of entry and promotion in the career, installing the idea of merit and periodic evaluation. An analysis of journalistic notes was carried out in the period July 2000-December 2001 and official documents as well as interviews with union leaders, former advisers, representatives of business organizations and specialists.

REPUBLICANISM ,DEMOCRACY ,EXECUTIVE power ,LEGISLATIVE power - Abstract
Friedrich Schlegel's critique of Immanuel Kant's claim that democracy is necessarily despotic (as in ancient Greece, lacking a strict separation between legislative and executive power) led Schlegel to formulate an alternative concept of democracy, opposing republicanism and despotism. His alternative understanding led him to a new notion of the Rousseauian distinction (and relation) between general will and the will of the majority, and to seek new paths to a realization of the project of perpetual peace, viz. through political and historical formation. Schlegel's aim is to bridge the gap between a priori principles and anthropological and empirical reality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

POWER (Social sciences) , *RITES & ceremonies , *NARRATIVES , *AUTHORITY , *GENDER , *FERTILITY ,ZIMBABWEAN social conditions ,ZIMBABWEAN politics & government - Abstract
This article is about power in pre-colonial polities of the Chishona-speaking people who lived in the north-eastern parts of the Zimbabwean plateau from the late 16th century to the end of the 19th century. It is an examination of how ruling lineages rationalised their claims to authority and how their subjects and others contested those claims. Paying attention to chiefly lineages' narratives and to ritual politics central to social health and to the actions and voices of individuals for whom rituals were performed, and those who performed them, the article demonstrates the limits of chiefly power and the power of autochthonous communities in these polities. Further, the article addresses questions of gender, fertility, politics and contestations over authority among the pre-colonial inhabitants of the Zimbabwean plateau. In this way, it shifts scholarly attention from ruling families to those who belonged to these communities but were not of the ruling lineages. More importantly, it demonstrates the ways in which we can use oral traditions and archives to write a social history of power among pre-colonial southern Africa's chieftainship-based polities. The article moves beyond the empire- and dynasty-centric histories of pre-colonial Zimbabwe – histories that turn out to be more about the ruling lineages than they are about the many people who constituted these societies – while privileging local social processes in the making of pre-colonial Zimbabwean polities. Dialectical march of the MST: formation and political communication between countryside and city is the title of the work of Pablo Nabarrete Bastos, which discusses the political articulation developed in recent years between the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) and the workers urban workers in the struggle for the popular hegemony of the Brazilian working class, with emphasis on the historical period of formation of the MST, from its genesis in the early 1980s until its 6th National Congress, in 2014. To study the relationship between communication and education, we propose a reading of the work with the intention of perceiving some political-pedagogical-communicative aspects, which permeate the articulation of the MST in the process of political struggle for popular hegemony among rural and urban workers in the work.

- Abstract
This article reflects on the processes of youth politicization, drawing insights from ethnographic research that examines the practices, discourses, and relational dynamics influencing the organizational experience of a group of young people belonging to the Frente de Estudiantes Secundarios de La Cámpora during Cristina Kirchner's second presidential term. Driven by the inquiry into how a political subject is constructed, the paper addresses a series of initiatives, debates, and formulations that animated the activism of these young individuals in a Buenos Aires slum. The objective is to reflect on the meanings, values, and notions that specifically shaped their political formation as activists., O presente trabalho procura aprofundar a reflexão sobre os processos de politização juvenil através da recuperação dos resultados de uma investigação etnográfica na qual foi possível aceder às práticas, discursos e tramas relacionais que moldaram a experiência organizacional de um grupo de jovens pertencentes ao Frente de Estudiantes Secundarios da agrupação La Cámpora, na época em que Cristina Kirchner cumpria seu segundo mandato presidencial.

This article meets the need of thinking the notion of individual and politics beyond modern rationale framework. To this end, it raises a relational-conflict idea as a requirement for a human existence possibility and on this foundation the political subjectivity is defined as the scenario to construct the alterity in the field of representations and power. Firstly, it gives a broad overview along some modernity traits and its idea of individual, claiming that in the western metaphysics the politics was unthinkable and also showing the way modern hegemony prompts the idea of intersubjectivity as well as a broader political way of thinking. Secondly, it shows how it is possible now to understand historically the birth of subjectivity, in this case, the ambivalence between power as a concept and world power, stating, hence, the possibility for the transfiguration of the individual. In the third place, it explores the representations field in the experience and the otherness dynamics in relation to the consequences of the monolithic idea of the modern individual and the establishment of capitalism. Portraying mainly, the loss of experience and communicative capability, therefore, the loss of the Otherness. Finally, it makes us wonder to what degree narrating individually and collectively in an educational field allows the formation of political subjectivities, the recovery of experience and the acknowledgment of the alterity without undermining the necessity of conflict. It starts with the conceptualization of the conflict from Weber, to know the approach from which the problems were addressed. Likewise, in the theoretical field we opted for an approach from the historical institutionalism to the construction of peace in Colombia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This article aims to discuss teacher education, which has undergone numerous transformations in the last two decades. Some of these represent advances in terms of legislation and guarantee of rights in education, but others represent enormous setbacks, influenced by neoliberal tendencies and the interference of educational reformers who have been able to gain state support to achieve their goals of society reproduction and hand training for the labor market. In this context, we present the need for the political action of teachers to ensure compliance with the laws that protect their rights and facing the actions that have prevented their appreciation. This discussion is anchored in a documentary analysis and in the bibliographical research of works by authors such as Saviani (2003), Mészáros (2001), Martins (2010) and Freitas (2014), who use the assumptions of historical and dialectical materialism in their research [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract From the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s, leaders of the Brazilian liberation theology spurred initiatives to create a network of autonomous entities to elaborate frameworks and instrumentalize political activists. This study examines two of them, namely: the Ecumenical Center for Services to Evangelization and Popular Education (CESEEP), founded in 1982 and based in São Paulo, and the National Faith and Politics Movement (MF&P), launched in 1989 and anchored in the Center for the Defense of Human Rights of Petrópolis (CDDH). - Abstract
The article aims to present and reflect on some theoretical-practical elements that characterize the political bases of teachers of the state schools of Chapecó (SC). The text is based on the research (master's dissertation) of the author, whose motivating element was the challenge of the triple militancy (school, union and college). The triple militancy proposes a reflection on the main ideas about politics, political formation and class consciousness related by the investigated teachers. Methodologically, the exploratory case study is used, aiming to problematize the theoretical-methodological and theoretical-empirical elements, in order to think and rethink the political formation of teachers, as organic intellectuals. In this line, the text is guided by some categories of historical-dialectical materialism, such as praxis, which is flanked by the concepts of critical pedagogy, organic intellectual, political formation, militancy and active resistance. The provisional and propositional conclusions, due to the current misconduct of Brazilian politics (antipolitics), point to the challenges to the permanent political formation of teachers, of a critical-surpassing nature centered on class consciousness and collective struggles, whose ontological, epistemological and political-pedagogical aim must be on the inseparable unity between theory and practice. - Abstract
The participation of young Lasallian university students in complementary activities, such as those offered by the centers of interest, integrated by members of equine, bovine, canine and sheep-goat clubs, becomes an opportunity to produce leaders who can multiply their action of social transformation in their approaches to the rural sector. In this study, interviews were conducted with leading students of the different clubs, as well as surveys to students participating in events that assemble representatives of the agricultural sector. It is concluded that experiential learning through these centers is a generator of leaders who will contribute to rural development through the establishment of horizontal and inclusive relationships in their professional actions. - Abstract
The project was linked to the research group "Trabalho, educação e sociedade" ("Work, education and society" (GPTES), belonging to the Graduate Program in Education at Federal University of Uberlândia. It aimed to analyze the construction of a film narrative which emphasized the socio-educational aspect of the Brazilian political educational scenario analysis, considering the country in its historical perspective of a broad political tradition. The project made it possible the conceptual dialogue of citizenship and human rights, as well as, within the university, within the 2015/2016 biennium, as a didactic resource, a pedagogical practice of broad participation of the external community to the institution. The cinematographic proposal intertwined the central theme of politics, bringing the photographic memory and the narrative in its proximity to its impacts in the scope of basic education, therefore, contributed to the formation and expansion of the critical capacity of its participants. It is concluded that the teaching technique that deals with the use of films didactically ended up becoming a link in the planning and preparation of students in their research contexts, as well as a vehicle for transmitting knowledge. Friedrich Schlegel’s critique of Immanuel Kant’s claim that democracy is necessarily despotic (as in ancient Greece, lacking a strict separation between legislative and executive power) led Schlegel to formulate an alternative concept of democracy, opposing republicanism and despotism. His alternative understanding led him to a new notion of the Rousseauian distinction (and relation) between general will and the will of the majority, and to seek new paths to a realization of the project of perpetual peace, viz. through political and historical formation. Schlegel’s aim is to bridge the gap between a priori principles and anthropological and empirical reality.

This paper advocates for the need of a radical political praxis in defense of democracy in the face of current contemporary challenges. Concepts based on the Critical Theory are discussed and updated, addressing central issues to democracy, social rights, culture and public policies in the 21st Century. When defending the argument that capitalism is not synonymous with democracy, the tension between economic neoliberalism and political authoritarianism is analyzed. It seeks to demonstrate how social and economic inequality in the case of Latin America results in the intensification of class conflict. It problematizes the way education ends up, by neoliberal logic, to the function of training for work to the detriment of its social, political, ethical, sensitive and human quality. It analyzes how the educational practice constitutes the object of political dispute between the neoliberal control tecniques and the progressive forces that defend a radical political education. Finally, it addresses the individual ethics, social morals, socio-historical consciousness and collective action necessary for a critical radical praxis, recovering the importance of hope in the process of social transformation. Keywords: Critical theory. Education. Praxis. Political formation. Democracy. This study seeks to present and analyze youth perceptions about fake news in their processes of political formation and participation. Without prejudice to quantitative data, the research has a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on a systematic literature review and field research, with “youth, fake news, political formation and political participation” as basic analytical categories. Regarding the development of the research in its empirical aspects, this took place in two stages that dialogue with each other: the first occurred with the application of a mixed online questionnaire in order to know the socioeconomic profile of the participants and get closer to their places of speech, whose questionnaire used the Likert scale. In the second stage, audio-recorded semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants through the virtual platform Google Meet. The research participants are young people aged between 18 and 29 years, whose delimitation of the number of participants took place through the sampling process by theoretical saturation and the first approximations with them through the data collection method: Bola de Neve Virtual. With regard to data processing, the research used content analysis based on the assumptions of Bardin (2016), assuming that content analysis provides the analyst with a methodological path to further deepen the process of reading, interpretation and inferences. Epistemologically, the research is woven in a cultural-historical perspective, in which youth is understood as a plural and historical category; fake news as false narratives that pretend to be real and manipulate reality; and politics, from the perspective of training and participation, is understood as a field of struggles, power relations, disputes and conflicts. In the investigative construction of this thesis, the term politics is used without labeling the discourse in left or right party political categories. In this sense, leaning on theoretical and empirical ideas and assumptions, the path to youth perceptions of fake news in their political training and participation processes is characterized by the discussion of issues that intersect the encounter between the youth theme, fake news, political formation and political participation, taking into account the possible influence that fake news can exert as elements that transit in the fields of political socialization and youth sociability. As a whole, the research results indicate the inexistence of publications that articulate youth, political formation, political participation and fake news. They point to the fact that youth identities and life projects have been reconfigured by societal processes and technicalities that produce other spaces for youth sociabilities and collective practices. It is noticed that youth political participation practices vary in their spatiality and temporality, from everyday politics to institutionalized politics. It is evident that young people's views on politics continue to be impacted by the existing political culture, mainly because of their references to institutionalized politics. On the one hand, there is disbelief of young people with the traditional format of doing politics in Brazil and, on the other hand, there is hope of young people in new forms of political participation. Thus, the debate on youth political training represents the expression of new social paradigms in the face of the working structure of the production and dissemination of fake news, since the processes of youth political training and participation have taken place in a terrain where the culture of disinformation it is a great threat to the oxygenation of democracy. The data show that young people, taking into account the presidential elections in Brazil in 2018 and the positions taken by President Jair Bolsonaro during the Covid-19 pandemic, believe that fake news has a worrying role in the decision-making and political choices of youth, which can influence everyday political practices.

The aim of this paper is to analyze certain aspects of the implementation of teaching systems, in order to basically clarify the concepts of democracy and education. The intention is to point to certain details of the bourgeois revolution and to how, for the working classes, the relationship between political formation and intellectual formation is fundamental for the experience of a real democracy. Class conflict takes on a cultural dimension, as hegemony becomes established as the intellectual and moral domination and direction. This interpretation is based on Gramsci’s thought, which demonstrates how secular and free education is a basic principle of modern democracies.

The false idea that the accounting is just a technical registration, a subsidiary of the economy and sentenced to be an accomplice to eternal of the perverse logic of capitalism, has done that education accounting is reduced to a training in skills that make us believe that little or nothing affects the realization of the perspective of development.
