This study posits that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) enables supply chains (SCs) to dynamically react to volatile environments, and alleviate potentially costly decision-makings for small-medium enterprises (SMEs). Building on a resource-based view, this work examines the impact of AI on SC risk management for SMEs. A structural model comprising of AI-risk management capabilities, SC re-engineering capabilities and supply chain agility (SCA) was developed and tested based on data collected from executives, managers and senior managers of SMEs The main methodological approach used in this study is partial least squares-based structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) and artificial neural network (ANN). The results identified the use of AI for risk management influences SC re-engineering capabilities and agility. Re-engineering capabilities further affect and mediate agility. PLS-SEM and ANN were compared and the results revealed consistency for models A and B. Current levels of demand uncertainties in the SC challenges managers in making complex trade-off decisions that require huge management resources in very limited time. With AI, it is possible to model various scenarios to answer crucial questions that archaic infrastructures are not able to. AbstractAlthough an increasing number of studies explore the factors influencing users’ privacy concerns regarding social robots, the existing understanding of this issue remains largely fragmented. Previous studies have mainly focused on the "net effect" between variables, leaving the complexity of causal configurations, and the holistic impact of design characteristics of social robots on user privacy concerns remains unclear. Based on the Stimuli-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework and Communication Privacy Management Theory (CPMT), this study integrates social robot design characteristics such as Anthropomorphism, Warmth, Competence, and Transparency into causal configurations, and uses Perceived Privacy Risk and Perceived Privacy Control as mediating variables to propose a Comprehensive conceptual model. Based on valid data from a sample of 198 Chinese social robot users, this study conducted empirical analyses of the conceptual model using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (FsQCA). PLS-SEM results show that anthropomorphism, warmth, competence, and transparency are key factors influencing privacy concerns, and perceived privacy risk mediates the relationship between warmth, information transparency, and privacy concerns. The FsQCA results further validated the findings of PLS-SEM and identified five configurations of factor combinations that led to higher levels of user privacy concerns. Among them, the combination of high anthropomorphism design, high competence, and low warmth of social robots is the core configuration that leads to users’ privacy concerns. Overall, this study broadens our understanding of social robot users’ privacy concerns and reveals the causal complexity behind social robot users’ privacy concerns. The Indian automobile industry is witnessing a paradigm shift from fossil fuel to green energy. The current study employs an extended version of the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) to investigate the impact of attitudes, green nudges and perceived behavioural control on the behavioural intention (BI) for adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by Indian consumers. Environmental concern is also added to the model to find its impact on actual buying behaviour (AB). Conclusive research is carried out, and data is collected through a structured questionnaire. 342 respondents were analysed using a two-step investigation approach: Partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM), followed by an artificial neural network (ANN). Subsequently, two models are formed to determine the predictors of BI and AB. The findings suggest that all three factors positively impact BI and AB. Attitude plays the most significant role in BI (the most important predictor of AB). The study's findings also suggest that the extended TPB model is effective for forecasting customers' adoption intentions towards EVs. Moreover, this research adds to the existing literature on the intention and reluctance of consumers to embrace green technology. The results of this study will have significant implications not only for a greater understanding of customer behaviour regarding the adoption of EVs, but also for exploring their market expansion, product offerings, consumer BI and framing policies. Soybean yield is affected by soil, terrain, biology, and other factors. However, few studies have considered the main and secondary influencing factors of soybean yield and the interaction mechanisms among these factors within a catchment area in the black soil region. This study aims to explore the main influencing factors and the coupling mechanisms affecting soybean yield in China's northeast black soil region. Using 46 samples from Heshan Farm, Nenjiang City, a driving factor model for soybean yield was developed using PLS-SEM, incorporating latent variables such as soybean yield, topographic characteristics, soil physical properties, soil chemical properties, and biological factors. The main factors, secondary factors, and their interactions affecting soybean yield were discussed. Topographic factors, soil physical properties, and soil chemical properties had positive total effects on soybean yield, while biological factors had a direct negative impact on soybean yield, with the total effects ranging from soil physical properties > biological factors > topographic factors > soil chemical properties. In terms of soil physical properties, the load value of soil bulk density was the largest (-0.917). This was followed by saturated water content (0.886), total porosity (0.855), capillary water holding capacity (0.837), field water holding capacity (0.763), black soil thickness (0.695), sand particle size (-0.664), clay particle size (0.450), and gravel ratio (-0.439). These findings demonstrate soil physical properties are the key factors affecting soybean yield. Thus, soil improvement in small catchment, by reducing bulk density, increasing porosity, and improving soil water retention capacity are key to improving soybean yield. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Equitable access to healthcare for rural, tribal, and underprivileged people has been an emerging area of interest for researchers, academicians, and policymakers worldwide. Improving equitable access to healthcare requires innovative interventions. This calls for clarifying which operational model of a service innovation needs to be strengthened to achieve transformative change and bring sustainability to public health interventions. The current study aimed to identify the components of an operational model of mobile medical units (MMUs) as an innovative intervention to provide equitable access to healthcare. Methods: The study empirically examined the impact of scalability, affordability, replicability (SAR), and immunization performance on the sustainability of MMUs to develop a framework for primary healthcare in the future. Data were collected via a survey answered by 207 healthcare professionals from six states in India. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was conducted to empirically determine the interrelationships among various constructs. Results: The standardized path coefficients revealed that three factors (SAR) significantly influenced immunization performance as independent variables. Comparing the three hypothesized relationships demonstrates that replicability has the most substantial impact, followed by scalability and affordability. Immunization performance was found to have a significant direct effect on sustainability. For evaluating sustainability, MMUs constitute an essential component and an enabler of a sustainable healthcare system and universal health coverage. Conclusion: This study equips policymakers and public health professionals with the critical components of the MMU operational model leading toward sustainability. The research framework provides reliable grounds for examining the impact of scalability, affordability, and replicability on immunization coverage as the primary public healthcare outcome. Given the recent attention to language-domain-specific grit in the field of SLA and the scarcity of research on the antecedents of L2 grit, we proposed a model that links L2 learners' basic psychological needs (BPN) (i.e. autonomy, competence, and relatedness), L2 grit (i.e. perseverance of effort (PE) and consistency of interest (CI)), and L2 achievement (measured by students' scores on English courses). L2 Saudi undergraduate students who study English were invited to participate. The findings indicated that except for the path from competence to achievement and from CI to achievement, all direct paths in the model were significant. More specifically, only PE, but not CI, was positively associated with L2 achievement. Also, all constructs of BPN have a positive influence on PE, but only autonomy has a positive link with CI. The findings illustrated plausible antecedents of L2 grit and showed pathways in which L2 grit operated as mediators in the association between BPN and L2 achievement. Using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to examine the mediational model allowed us to predict unseen scores on the outcome; thus, providing support for the out-of-sample predictive power (predictive validity) of our structural model. Background and Purpose: Metavisualization plays a key role in science and technological learning in which visualization is practiced. We conducted two sequential studies with the purposes to first develop an instrument that allows individuals to report or reflect on their metavisualization, and then validate the instrument and investigate the relationships among the dimensions of metavisualization. Sample: A total of 320 university students participated in this research. Methods: Through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) in the first study and partial least squares – structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in the second study, the validity and reliability of the instrument measuring the four dimensions of metavisualization were reported, and a theoretical model delineating the relationships among the four variables was explored. Findings: It was found that metacognitive skills, rather than metacognitive knowledge, significantly contributed to the demonstration of epistemic knowledge and judgment criteria during visualization. Metacognitive knowledge may also play an indirect role in learners' epistemic performance through its relation with metacognitive skills. Implications: The results provide insights to advance understanding of metavisualization and its relation to metacognition and epistemic practice. The validated instruments may be used for future quantitative or mixed research to advance understanding of the role metavisualization plays in various contexts of learning in science and technological education. As the utilization of modern fintech credit products, such as Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL), continues to grow, there is a growing need to enhance our understanding of their adoption. This study aims to uncover the determinants of BNPL adoption by identifying factors from technological, economical, and psychological (TEP) perspectives. This research examines consumer adoption of BNPL by drawing upon the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT). A cross-sectional research design was utilized in this study, and data from 226 participants were analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Further, the study used importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) to identify the importance and performance of each independent variable against the intention to adopt BNPL. The findings support the hypotheses that technological factors, performance expectancy, and effort expectancy significantly influence the intention to adopt BNPL. Moreover, the economic factor, the flexibility of payment, is positively associated with forming a positive attitude toward BNPL adoption. Further, psychological factors, perceived competence, and perceived relatedness positively influence perceived usefulness, which, in turn, positively affects the intention to adopt BNPL. This paper investigates the Building Information Modeling (BIM) adoption impact on the factors of Contract Cost Variance (CCV) over time. The study considers qualitative and quantitative data to identify the most common causes of CCV through pre-tendering. A partial least square-structure model (PLS-SEM) procedure was used to develop a causal model and rank CCV factors based on their effect, partially based on prior survey raw data conducted in 2022 and the data from 94 projects. Construction industry experts assessed the prior five-year rate of BIM adoption on construction projects to infer the expected trend in BIM adoption in the future (until 2037). Based on the causal model of CCV factors and the future rates of BIM adoption, the dynamic impact of BIM on CCV factors over time was modeled and analyzed. The analysis shows that BIM reduces CCV over time by improving Estimator Performance (EP), Information Quality (IQ), and contractual procedure (CP). The results showed that the CP, EP, and EF have directly impacted CCV, and the PC and IQ indirectly affect the CCV. This paper considers the temporal aspect, examining how the impact of BIM on CCV factors evolves. This dynamic analysis is crucial for long-term strategic planning in construction management. This study explores the factors influencing the migration intentions of the new generation of migrant workers from the perspective of employment quality. Utilizing differential analysis, correlation analysis, and the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) model, this study analyzes data on hukou transfer intention obtained through an exploratory questionnaire survey. The results indicate significant differences in migration intentions among new-generation migrant workers differentiated by job industry, job position, gender, household registration type, and housing type. Additionally, age, the number of local family members, and housing satisfaction are strongly correlated with migration intentions. Path analysis reveals that employment stability, income–expenditure match, and social integration significantly positively affect migration intentions. Advanced technologies pave the way for a variety of technology-based inventions, especially economic integrations. The idea of mobile commerce has been under consideration for the past decade. Mobile users are gradually shifting from traditional modes of payment to cashless mobile applications. After COVID-19, the use of e-modes for payments in our daily routine lives increased significantly, which requires further investigation of the factors affecting the adoption of mobile payment (M-payment) applications. Given that, this study aims to investigate the adoption of M-payment through the application of UTAUT-2 theory while extending it with monetary benefit. The data were collected from 302 respondents who were the current users of JazzCash and Easypaisa. Furthermore, this study furnishes a deeper understanding of the proposed model by utilizing the partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and fsQCA approach. The findings of this research highlight that performance expectancy, price value, habit, and monetary benefit are the major and more effective motives that influence the adoption of M-payment in Pakistan. Further, the findings of this study provide an in-depth insight into consumer perspective about the major indicators that influence the adoption of M-payment and can also help practitioners deploy an appropriate strategy for their M-payment application. This study is the pioneer in evaluating the adoption of M-payment in the developing economy of Pakistan through UTAUT-2 theory with additional variable of monetary benefit offered by JazzCash and Easypaisa in terms of cashback, discounts, and perks that drive the adoption intention for M-payment. More importantly, this study also extends the prior studies by utilizing the asymmetrical approach with symmetrical findings to explore the causal configurations (i.e., the combination of UTAUT2 antecedents) predicting the adoption of M-payment. The objective of the study is to explore the motives of investors to invest in derivative markets. It is a quantitative study where a survey method was used to collect data from the investors using a probability sampling method. The data was analyzed using PLS-SEM to test the conceptual model. The results of the study show that speculation, hedging, and financial literacy are strong predictors of investors' motives to invest in the derivatives market. The R2 was O.447 implying speculation, hedging, and financial literacy explain 44.7% of the variance of the dependent variable, that is, the motives of investors to invest in equity derivatives, and the adjusted R-square is O.432 (43.2%) which validates the model. Few studies explore the reasons to invest in derivatives using secondary data. However, to the best of the author's knowledge studies exploring the motives of investors are rare, and there have been none using primary data from an Indian perspective. Ethnocentrism is anticipated to have a growing impact on international hospitality brands, but current understandings of its effects is limited. Using the traditional, unidimensional conceptualization of ethnocentrism, prior hospitality research concluded that ethnocentrism drives people to favor domestic over foreign brands. This study proposes a model wherein ethnocentrism's emotional and cognitive dimensions influence perceptions of international brands through separate direct and indirect mechanisms, which vary between the brand's domestic and foreign markets. The model was assessed using multigroup analysis of perceptions of Starbucks in two samples of 186 and 235 consumers from the United States and Italy, respectively. The findings highlight that ethnocentrism's emotional and cognitive dimensions have positive and negative effects, respectively, on brand image in the domestic market (United States) and vice versa in a foreign market (Italy). Rural collective‐owned cooperatives (RCOCs) have received significant attention for rural development, alleviating rural poverty, and achieving common welfare in China. Using the Social‐ecological system (SES) framework as a conceptual and analytical lens, this paper clarifies the determinants and the influence mechanism for the economic performance of RCOCs. A mixed method, PLS‐SEM combined NCA approach is applied to 420 smallholder farmers in rural China. The results reveal that rural collective property‐rights system reform (RCPRSR), leadership, social capital, and collective action positively affect the economic performance of RCOCs. Moreover, leadership and social capital also operate through their mediating effect on collective action amongst collective members. Telecommuting has been found to have a profound effect on employee turnover intention. However, the literature is vague in understanding the mechanism through which telecommuting affects employee retention (ER). Grounded on the conservation of resource (COR) theory and social exchange theory (SET), this study examined the impact of telecommuting on ER and fear of COVID-19 and the subsequent impact of fear of COVID-19 on ER. The study also investigated fear of COVID-19 as a mediating mechanism between telecommuting and ER. Data collected from 307 employees working in nonprofit and nongovernmental organisations in Balochistan, Pakistan was analysed using PLS-SEM. The findings showed that telecommuting was positively related to ER while its relationship was negative and significant with fear of COVID-19. Further analyses showed that fear of COVID-19 was negatively related to ER. The findings further revealed that fear of COVID-19 mediated the influence of telecommuting on ER. The overall results demonstrate the importance of telecommuting in strengthening ER and reducing fear of COVID-19. This study determines that morbidity presents a mediating impact between intimate partner violence against women and labor productivity in terms of absenteeism and presenteeism. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used on a nationwide representative sample of 357 female owners of micro-firms in Peru. The resulting data reveals that morbidity is a mediating variable between intimate partner violence against women and absenteeism (β = 0.213; p <.001), as well as between intimate partner violence against women and presenteeism (β = 0.336; p <.001). This finding allows us to understand how such intimate partner violence against women negatively affects the workplace productivity in the context of a micro-enterprise, a key element in many economies across the world. The adoption of central bank digital currencies (CBDC) has been popular in many countries, especially Indonesia which currently develops its own CBDC called digital rupiah, due to its potential benefits such as financial inclusion. Despite the potential benefits of digital rupiah, there is a lack of understanding regarding factors that affect digital rupiah user acceptance. This research aims to investigate the potential factor affecting the user acceptance of digital rupiah using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT-3) model, incorporating awareness and privacy as additional variables. There are 218 respondents to this study from five provinces in Indonesia: Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta. The data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. The results of this study found that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, habit, personal innovativeness, and awareness are the significant factors that affect the behavioral intention of digital rupiah meanwhile facilitating condition, habit, personal innovativeness, and behavioral intention are the factors that significantly affect the use behavior of digital rupiah. This study identifies key factors influencing the user acceptance of the digital rupiah, providing valuable insights for stakeholders seeking to promote its adoption and use in Indonesia. We developed a novel model combining the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to examine the relationships between demographic variables, spousal support, financial satisfaction, and marital satisfaction. The sample comprised 948 Turkish participants who completed the Spousal Support Scale, Financial Satisfaction Scale, and Kansas Marital Satisfaction Index. In the dimension of PLS-SEM, spousal support positively influenced financial satisfaction. In the below- and above-starvation-line groups, marital satisfaction was positively influenced by financial satisfaction and spousal support. The PLS-SEM and the ANN models were integrated, and the present PLS-SEM model was validated. SS and FS were two crucial aspects of a marriage that significantly determine overall marital satisfaction in the below- and above-starvation-line groups. The MLP analysis demonstrated the validity of the relationship model between marital satisfaction and demographics. AbstractPatent information platforms have become crucial for innovators to stay informed about technological advancements. These platforms, distinguished by their function-oriented nature, differ significantly from traditional systems, highlighting the need for research on user behavior impact. This study proposes a research model to investigate how information, system, and interface quality influence continuous use intention, with perceived pleasure and needs satisfaction as mediators. A survey with 468 users was conducted, followed by regression and structural equation modeling for path and mediation analyses. The findings indicate that information and system quality have positive but distinct impacts on perceived pleasure and needs satisfaction, while interface quality affects only perceived pleasure. Needs satisfaction mediates the impact of information and system quality on continuous use intention, whereas perceived pleasure does not. This study introduces a function-oriented scenario into information systems research and identifies the unique impact paths of information and system quality. For these function-oriented platforms, the influence of interface quality on needs satisfaction or perceived pleasure on continuous use intention is insignificant, establishing a new context relevant to pragmatism and push–pull–mooring theories. Chronic procrastination, which is increasingly prevalent in adult routines, may have implications for mental and physical health. Family dynamics significantly influence procrastination tendencies. This study investigates the influence of family functioning on chronic procrastination, focusing on the mediating role of self-efficacy. We examined the proposed relations using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS on a sample of 596 emerging adults. The results confirm the goodness of fit for the theoretical model. Notably, a positive and significant association exists between family functioning and self-efficacy. The study's results further strengthen the idea that both self-efficacy and family functioning significantly influence chronic procrastination. Moreover, self-efficacy acts as a mediator in the relations between chronic procrastination and family functioning. The undeniable potential benefits of learning analytics (LA) in education have led to growing investment in developing and integrating LA systems into K-12 schools. Yet, the actual integration and adoption depend on levels of teachers' acceptance and usage. This study aims to propose a conceptual model to reveal the decisive factors affecting teachers' adoption of the LA system for evaluating teachers' sustainable LA usage through the integration of Information System Success and the Technology Acceptance Model. The variables used were system performance quality (SP), information quality (IQ), perceived usefulness (PU), and intention to use (IU) via the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Furthermore, the moderation effect of teachers' AI literacy level (LIT) between dependent variables (SP and IQ) and PU was analyzed. The results indicated SP (sub-constructed by accessibility and human awareness) and IQ (comprised of reliability and relevancy) have statistically positive influences on PU and IU, where LIT played a moderating role between IQ and PU. This study contributes to our understanding of teachers' perceptions regarding LA system integration through a theoretically grounded analysis of empirical data from the K-12 school education context and highlights important areas of development for better LA integration into teachers' practice. This article offers a discourse on institutional factors relating to micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) incidences in the Philippines. The analyses in this study utilized data from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the World Bank (WB), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This study analyzes data for a 14-year observation horizon from 2008 to 2021. Manifest variables in the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) are regulatory quality, the tertiary school enrollment gender ratio, per capita gross domestic product (GDP) and incidences of unemployment. From the PLS-SEM path model, the social and governance construct positively and significantly influences economic development. In turn, macroeconomic development significantly increases the number of MSMEs in the country. In particular, the female-to-male enrollment ratio at the tertiary education level and per capita GDP are significantly influential variables. Implications from these findings inform government policies that affect women at the tertiary education level and economic development policies. Findings from this study offer evidence that legislators may craft laws and government programs that benefit not only women and businesses but, more so, the overall economic growth of their nations. To the knowledge of the authors, there is not yet a study that empirically tests the relationships between social and governance issues, economic development and MSME frequency using the PLS-SEM technique. This study aimed to investigate the formation of tourists’ behavioral intentions toward rural tourism by analyzing sensory experiences and memorable tourism experiences. The research was conducted through a case study in Henan, China. Using a quantitative approach, a survey was conducted where 490 participants completed a face-to-face questionnaire. The findings from the partial least squares structural equation modeling revealed that out of the five sensory experiences, only touch has a statistically significant and positive impact on behavioral intention. Memorable tourism experiences emerged to act as a mediator between the five senses and behavioral intention. In recent times, the usage of cryptocurrencies has become remarkably widespread in e-commerce applications. This study aims to explain the factors affecting cryptocurrencies by proposing an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) consisting of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, trust, social influence, social support, religious belief, and intention to use. A web-based survey was conducted to collect data from individuals who had never previously used cryptocurrencies and data were analyzed via employing partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. According to the results, the relationships based on early TAM were validated. Additionally, trust, social influence, and social support have direct effects on the intention to use. Contrary to expectations, religious belief has no influence on trust and intention to use. This study could draw the attention of researchers, developers, and marketers in cryptocurrency to understand the dynamics of potential customers. Findings of this study highlight the pressing need for policymakers in Turkiye to prioritize ease of use, perceived usefulness, and, most importantly, trust within the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency systems. Applying information technology capabilities (ITC) to business processes is critical in the current data and information age. However, various bottlenecks and barriers restrict the adoption of ITC. To address these obstacles, fostering an entrepreneurial orientation (EO) can be beneficial. Drawing on the dynamic capabilities view, this study develops and tests a model that empirically analyzes how EO influences the adoption of ITC. The proposed model also assesses the separate and joint effects of EO and ITC on firm performance (FP). The research hypotheses were tested using a survey of 157 Chilean firms, and the PLS-SEM method was applied. The findings indicate that EO promotes the development of ITC and that the synergistic relationship between the two positively affects FP. The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a positive relationship between full-range leadership and employees' effort, efficiency, and satisfaction. A questionnaire was administered to 577 executives from Colombian companies, and the data was analyzed using a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The results show that both transformational and transactional leadership have a direct and significant impact on extra effort, effectiveness, and satisfaction, with transformational leadership having the greatest impact on these factors. Conversely, passive-avoidant leadership has negative effects on these three constructs. This study validates the effectiveness of the MLQ 5X in a South American country, a geographical region where such studies are in their early stages. Finally, the whole range of leadership styles--transformational, transactional, and passive-avoidant--is looked at. Mackerel is one of the most popular fish in Korea. However, the determinants of consumer purchase behaviors have not been identified, even though mackerel is an important fish to Korean consumers. This study aims to predict the determinants affecting consumer purchase intentions for mackerel in the Korean domestic market. For this, the author conducted a questionnaire survey, predicted the consumers' purchase intentions for mackerel using PLS-SEM (partial least squares structural equation modeling), and evaluated the predictions using the TPB (theory of planned behavior) model. Moreover, this study examined whether there is a difference in consumers' purchase intentions between Korean and Norwegian mackerel. As a result, it is identified that the quality and utility of exogenous constructs indirectly affected the purchase intention (PI) through attitude toward the behavior (AB). In addition, the PI was affected by the subject norm (SN), which was affected considerably by the industrial conditions (IC) of exogenous constructs. Furthermore, the PI was also influenced by perceived behavioral control (PBC), which has the strongest impact on the PI. However, the purchase determinants of consumers were not different between Korean and Norwegian mackerel. In conclusion, Korean consumers consider quality and utility when they purchase mackerel, and their positive attitude can help them make a purchasing decision. Moreover, the more they recognize the conditions of production, business, and culture, the higher their intention is to purchase mackerel because they are forming a positive social atmosphere. Furthermore, whether they have the financial leeway and repulsion also represents factors in their purchase intention for mackerel. Heat waves are natural disasters that can result in large numbers of casualties. The frequency and damage caused by heat waves have been increasing in Korea due to climate change. The regional impacts of heat waves can vary according to environmental and socioeconomic factors regardless of duration and intensity. This study assessed the risks posed by heat waves for administrative districts in Korea according to climate change scenarios and the risk assessment framework of Fifth Assessment Report presented by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The risk of heat waves is usually based on a combination of hazard, exposure, and vulnerability. Unlike previous studies using subjective weights, this study employed partial least squares—structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and entropy weighting, which are more objective methods of determining the indicators and weights, to estimate the exposure and vulnerability of heat waves. The results showed that at least 40% and 46% of administrative districts are expected to experience a high level of risk according to the representative concentration pathway scenarios, i.e., RCP 4.5 and 8.5, respectively. In addition, significant differences were observed in the heat wave risks calculated in this study for the upper and lower regions, with respect to cumulative heat-related morbidity rates, whereas the heat wave risk reported by the Korean Ministry of Environment was found to be insignificant. The objective conditions of people's lives have historically played a greater role than subjective perceptions. However, this trend is shifting, accompanied by an ongoing debate about life satisfaction and urbanization. This research has two objectives, the first is to test the hypothesis of the urban paradox. The second is to analyze the differences in the determinants of life satisfaction by urbanization levels. In order to determine the degrees of urbanization, a geographic grid was used to distinguish between rural, intermediate, and urban areas. In addition, a multi-group analysis in structural equation models with partial least squares was conducted to analyze the determinants of life satisfaction. The model has been developed using three general determinants: economic situation, health, and social relations, which has been applied to a case study of the Region of Murcia. The database used for this study includes 2462 samples. The population living in rural areas showed less life satisfaction. Regarding the determinants, it was found that health acts as a partial mediator of social relations. Differences were also observed in the intensity of the determinants according to the degree of urbanization. Thus, the degree of urbanization acts as a moderator of life satisfaction. This study uses Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to explore the nexus between green human resource management (GHRM) practices and employee green voice behaviors in the Spanish hospitality sector. Using a sample of 308 Spanish hotel employees, the findings indicate that employees' perception of GHRM practices significantly predicts green voice behavior development and is positively associated with harmonious environmental passion. Employees' GHRM perception substantially impacts organizational green mindfulness, positively influencing harmonious environmental passion. The study unveils complementary partial mediation, showcasing the significant and indirect impact of GHRM practices on green voice behaviors through harmonious environmental passion and organizational green mindfulness. Theoretical contributions involve introducing novel psychosocial processes that motivate and influence the interaction between GHRM and employees' green behaviors. Meanwhile, practical implications underscore the role of GHRM in fostering a shared green vision and empowering employees for actively engaging in environmental sustainability within the hospitality sector. The study intends to understand the association between teleworking and its impact on the psychological well-being of the respondents. The mediating effect of perceived stress and moderating effects of staycation and destination image on the aforementioned association is also examined. The study utilized the conservation of resource theory to understand the hypothesized relationship. The data was collected through a survey using standardized measures. In the presented study, the responses from 245 private-sector employees were analysed using PLS-SEM to test the hypotheses. The results found that perceived stress acted as a significant mediator between teleworking and psychological well-being relationship. Staycation acted as a significant moderator between perceived stress and psychological well-being. However, destination image failed to depict its moderating effect on perceived stress and psychological well-being. Travelling can help deal with mental stress and an exhaustive climate resulting in better living standards. The results of the study help in better understanding the role of work staycation with its liberating and revitalizing capabilities to prevent a continuous spiral of depression or negative emotions and strengthen psychological well-being. The escalation of climate change has challenged urban sustainable development, especially in the top globally vulnerable countries. This paper investigates the role of social capital in shaping the resilience of residents in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's first mega urban, based on survey data from 300 households, using a stratified sampling strategy to reflect the urban and suburban population structure of the city-dwellers with the application of PLS-SEM. The study highlights the significant role of bridging social capital, drawing on established research and theories, which emphasizes the importance of diverse social networks in enhancing problem-solving, optimism, material resources, and social resources. Additionally, the study uncovers the impact of bonding social capital, particularly in terms of enhancing material and social resources, underscoring the cultural inclination towards close-knit networks within Vietnamese society. Structural barriers associated with vertical networks are identified, implying the need to promote the role of linking social capital in enhancing resilience. The study confirms the cruciality of addressing socio-economic factors and promoting access to formal support systems for bolstering overall resilience among urban residents in Ho Chi Minh City and beyond. The results enrich the current literature when operationalizing and exploring the nexus of social capital and resilience multi-dimensionally in a mega urban setting of an emerging country for new pathways to achieve sustainability.
