Transportation has significant role in urban life. Commuting students in universities in Semarang have several options in transportation modes. This study aimed to examine student preferences for train and airplane transportation modes and factors influencing it. Data of 110 students at several Semarang City Universities compiled by purposive sampling were then analyzed using descriptive statistics method. The results showed that most students prefer train transportation modes rather than airplanes. Regarding the level and quality of service, trains provide better services at cheaper, faster, and more practical prices. Meanwhile, based on the quality of service, aircraft transport offers better safety and comfort than Train transport. Although there are differences in the level and quality of comfort, students preferred to use train since the differences are not significant.

The aim of the applications presented is the understanding of the basic elements of the descriptive geometry -- the relative positions of a straight line and a plane and they are focused on the intersection of a straight line and a plane. The objective of this study was to investigate in terms of some variables the positional correlation of the press to handstand with eyes open and eyes closed in the right-left sagittal planes in artistic gymnasts. Correlation analysis was conducted to evaluate the data. According to the findings obtained from analysis in the right and left planes at 0°, a statistically significant correlation was observed both in the negative and positive direction. The analysis of the gymnasts’ press to handstand with eyes open and eyes closed, as measured in the right and left planes at 90°, revealed a statistically significant correlation both in the negative and positive direction. Likewise, the analysis of the gymnasts’ press to handstand with eyes open and eyes closed, as measured in the right and left planes at 180°, revealed a statistically significant correlation both in the negative and positive direction. We found in our study that the wider the triangle formed by the gymnasts’ shoulders, hips, and feet in the starting position of the press to handstand with eyes open was indicative of a poor starting technique, that at 90° the gymnasts’ proprioception functioned differently in the right and left planes when performing a handstand with eyes open and eyes closed, and that at 180° the central nervous system may play an important role for the arm muscles in the right plane in maintaining the desired balance in the absence of visual input when performing the handstand with eyes closed.

The subject of this study is the unsteady flow of liquid in pipelines, which are part of the design of airplanes and helicopters. This name means, first of all, the phenomenon of a sharp increase in pressure in the pipeline, which is known as a hydraulic shock. Although we have already learned to deal with this phenomenon in some parts of the systems, in many structural elements (flexible pipelines), inside which the working pressure reaches several hundred atmospheres, this phenomenon is still quite dangerous. As you know, the best way to deal with an unwanted phenomenon is through theoretical study. To date, there has been a huge amount of work in the direction of hydraulic shock research. This article does not fully cover these studies. It is limited to references to reviews and relevant works. Because the phenomenon of hydraulic shock has a significantly nonlinear character, analytical solutions of systems of equations corresponding to the simplest models were unknown until recently. This work presents, as an overview, already known analytical solutions describing the process of shock wave propagation. Most importantly, new achievements are given, both for the inviscid approximation and for considering internal viscous friction. It is shown that the internal friction within the considered model is negligible almost everywhere, except for the thin shock layer. The asymptotic is proportional to the tangent function and inversely proportional to the square root of the product of the Reynolds number and the dimensionless parameter characterizing the convection effect. Convection of the velocity field significantly affects the distribution of characteristics in hydraulic shock. If the self-similar solutions that were obtained earlier have a power-law character for the velocity distribution in the shock wave, then the simultaneous consideration in the model of convection and friction on the pipeline walls (according to the Weisbach-Darcy model) made it possible to obtain a distribution in the form of an exponential function that decays with increasing distance from the shock wave front. In addition, the work includes an original approach to solving a nonlinear system of differential equations that describes the propagation of a shock wave without considering the friction on the walls. Analytical solutions were obtained in the form of a function of pressure versus the velocity of shock wave propagation. Research methods. This work uses purely theoretical approaches based on the use of well-known fluid flow models, methods of analytical solution of differential equations and their systems, asymptotic methods, derivation of self-model equations, and finding their solutions. Conclusions. Analytical solutions of systems of differential equations were obtained, which describe models of hydraulic shock without considering viscous effects. A comparison of the obtained results with the results of other studies is given.

In order to improve the position estimation accuracy of ORB-SLAM2 system and solve the problem that only generate sparse maps, proposing position estimation strategy integrating the ICP(iterative closest point) algorithm and the Manhattan world hypothesis and adding dense-map building thread on the system. Firstly, extracting point, line and surface features by ORB(oriented fast and rotated brief) feature point method, LSD( least-significantdifference) algorithm and AHC( agglomerative hierarchical clustering) method, in which matching the point and line features with previous frame and matching the surface features in the global map. Then the image was divided into non-planar and planar raegions using surfel-based dense-map building strategy, the non-plane uses the ICP algorithm to compute pose, and the plane determines Manhattan world through the orthogonal relationship between plane and plane to use different estimation strategies. The Manhattan world scene realizes the drift-free rotation estimation based on the observation of the Manhattan frame through position decoupling, the translation of the scene and the pose of the non-Manhattan world scene were estimated and optimized by the traced points, lines and surface features. Finally, according to the key frame and the corresponding pose to realize the dense-map. The TUM(technische universität münchen) dataset was used to verify the map method, comparing with ORBSLAM2 algorithm, RMSE(root mean squared error) decreased by 0. 24 cm and the average positioning accuracy increased by 7. 17%, which verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method for the dense map. Two mobile agents represented by points freely moving in the plane and starting at two different positions, have to meet. The meeting, called rendezvous, occurs when agents are at distance at most r of each other and never move after this time, where r is a positive real unknown to them, called the visibility radius. Agents are anonymous and execute the same deterministic algorithm. Each agent has a set of private attributes, some or all of which can differ between agents. These attributes are: the initial position of the agent, its system of coordinates (orientation and chirality), the rate of its clock, its speed when it moves, and the time of its wake-up. If all attributes (except the initial positions) are identical and agents start at distance larger than r then they can never meet, as the distance between them can never change. However, differences between attributes make it sometimes possible to break the symmetry and accomplish rendezvous. Such instances of the rendezvous problem (formalized as lists of attributes), are called feasible. Our contribution is three-fold. We first give an exact characterization of feasible instances. Thus it is natural to ask whether there exists a single algorithm that guarantees rendezvous for all these instances. We give a strong negative answer to this question: we show two sets S 1 and S 2 of feasible instances such that none of them admits a single rendezvous algorithm valid for all instances of the set. On the other hand, we construct a single algorithm that guarantees rendezvous for all feasible instances outside of sets S 1 and S 2 . We observe that these exception sets S 1 and S 2 are geometrically very small, compared to the set of all feasible instances: they are included in low-dimension subspaces of the latter. The purpose of this study was to use the in vitro gas production (IVGP) method to assess the relative feeding value, feed quality, and anti-methanogenic capabilities of tree leaves added to Italian ryegrass forage at various proportions. With the addition of 2% and 4% willow leaf (Salix alba), 2% and 4% vine leaf (Vitis vinifera), 2% and 4% plane leaf (Platanus orientalis), and a control group devoid of these supplements, a total of 21 forage samples were created. The data were subjected to analysis of variance after nutritional composition, energy content, feeding value, and feed quality were determined using the in vitro gas generation method. The effect of the addition of tree leaves to forage on crude ash, IVGP, methane, metabolizable energy, net energy lactation, organic matter digestion, true digestible dry matter, partitioning factor, microbial protein, microbial protein synthesising efficiency, degree of true digestion, NDF digestion, total digestible nutrients, and relative feed quality was substantial. With the addition of 2% willow leaves, the digestibility, metabolic energy, net energy lactation value, organic matter digestion, microbial protein value, and relative feed quality all improved. The findings showed that tree leaves can be utilized as an alternate feed source for ruminants. The article discusses the current state of development of supersonic transport, analyses the main limitation of the use of gas turbine engines when flying at high supersonic flight speeds, proposes a method for expanding the range of GTE limitations in these flight modes of the aircraft, using cold forcing of the engine, conducts an analytical study of the effectiveness of this approach, proposes one of the possible devices for the implementation of cold forcing, the efficiency of an engine with cold forcing is shown, which may be of significant interest for the application of cold forcing methods in gas turbine engines of supersonic transport.

In this article, an application in the field of engineering graphics is presented for the design of a geometric calculator generated as a macro in CATIA V5. The code of this macro is written in the CATVBA language and utilizes the CATIA internal editor while taking advantage of the capabilities offered by Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The principal purpose of this application lies in the possibility of creating the three main geometric elements (point, line, and plane) and in solving five types of general geometric problems, and then comparing the results obtained with their equivalent problems from analytical geometry. In particular, within these types of general geometric problems, 34 possible cases are solved: definition of lines (nine cases), definition of planes (12 cases), intersection points (three cases), angles (three cases), and distances (seven cases). These new entities defined with the geometric calculator can serve as support for the generation of new three-dimensional volumes, the creation of auxiliary symmetries, and the dimensioning of various elements. It was verified that the results of the designed macro and the solutions of the analytical equations coincided; therefore, the procedure was validated. Likewise, the module employed herein in the CATIA V5 environment is "Wireframe and Surface Design", since it enables handling the three basic geometric elements (point, line, and plane), which form the basis of the geometric calculator. Lastly, it is verified how the geometric calculator allows their integration with three-dimensional solids, which represents a notable advance as an aid in its geometric definition. Background: Umbilical two-port laparoscopic percutaneous extraperitoneal processus vaginalis closure (UTLPEPVC) has been performed for children recent years. In addition to the basic concept of preperitoneal closure of the proecessus vaginalis at the level of internal ring, more conceptual and skillful cognitions deserve to be further probed for a smoother and swifter performance. Methods: From June 2021 to September 2021, 27 patients of 5 girls and 22 boys with a total of 45 patent processus vaginalis closure were consecutively performed UTLPEPVC by a laparoscopic novice and an experienced surgeon in our department. The video clips of all the procedures were recorded in a SanDisk. The needle piercing site, piercing route, piercing time, dissecting time and peritoneal puncture were defined, measured and evaluated between the novice and the expert. P ​ ​0.05). There were no postoperative complications or open conversions for all the patients. The piercing time and the dissecting time of the novice were significantly longer than that of the expert (P ​= ​0.0000, 0.0000). Dissecting puncture occurred more frequently than that of the expert (P ​= ​0.0036). Due to unawareness of pneumoperitoneum-induced anatomic changes of the inguinal canal, the piercing site of the novice was higher than that of the expert. The piercing route of the novice did not directly operate from the external inguinal fossa compared to that of the expert. Furthermore, the novice's spatial orientation was not adequately developed with more peritoneum punctures and the inflexible clamping and lifting of the peritoneum during the dissecting process. Conclusion: In UTLPEPVC for children, pneumoperitoneum-induced anatomic changes of the inguinal canal and peritoneal flexibility utilization deserve to be cognized.

Building information models (BIM) in the civil industry are very popular nowadays. The basic information of these models is the 3D geometric model of a building structure. The most applied methodology to model the existing buildings is by generating 3D geometric information from point clouds provided by laser scanners. The fundamental principle of this methodology is the recognition of structures shaped in basic geometric primitives, e.g., planes, spheres, and cylinders. The basic premise of the efficiency of this methodology is the automation of detection, since manual segmentation of a point cloud can be challenging, time-consuming, and, therefore, inefficient. This paper presents a novel algorithm for the automated segmentation of geometric shapes in point clouds without needing pre-segmentation. With the designed algorithm, structures formed in three types of basic geometrical primitive can be identified and segmented: planar (e.g., walls, floors, ceilings), spherical (e.g., laser scanner reference targets), and cylindrical (e.g., columns, pillars, piping). The RANSAC paradigm partially inspires the proposed algorithm; however, various modifications must be made. The algorithm was tested on several point clouds and was compared with the standard RANSAC algorithm; this part is described in the last section of the paper. One of the tests was performed on a double cylinder-shaped test object, the parameters (radius and height) of this object were available with high accuracy (0.1 mm), and the differences between the known and estimated parameters were below 0.5 mm in each case, indicating the correctness of the proposed algorithm. Also, a comparison with the standard RANSAC algorithm was performed, where the algorithm proposed showed better results than the standard RANSAC algorithm. In this article, some information was given about monumental trees detected in Antalya so far and 12 of them were introduced. When we look at the findings, the physical characteristics such as height, age, location and meaning of monumental trees consisting of Taurus cedar (Cedrus libani A. Rich), tall juniper (Juniperus excelsa Bieb.), Eastern plane (Platanus orientalis L.) and Anatolian chestnut (Castanea sativa) were evaluated. Suggestions were made for the students to contribute to the increase of nature and tree sensitivity of monumental trees by creating educational trips and suitable spaces.

Every new generation of students have difficulties with learning mathematical subjects. The success in Mathematics is getting lower and lower, not only in Macedonia but also on global level. Mathematical materials that contain only problems with solutions without their visual representation are hardly acceptable for many students. So, visualization plays an important role in the process of teaching mathematics subjects. In this paper, we will present the solution of examples of plane equation and, by using free software, visualization of that solution is made. Peculiarities of the electrostatic instability realization of a fluid's charged surface on the charged and uncharged drops' vertices in an external electrostatic field in a cylindrical jet and a flat surface are studied. It was shown that the critical values of the electric charge surface density under the above conditions on the threshold instability realization are different in magnitude regardless of the phenomenological similarity. The reason presumably consists in the spatial change distinction (of the situations under consideration) of the electric field intensity in proximity of the growing emission projection during instability realization of the fluid's charged surface. The space industry has always set ambitious tasks to create unique equipment, including control equipment. Ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of such systems is carried out at all stages of the life cycle of an aircraft (AC), starting from its development, including testing and stages of operation. Digital technology is characterized by high noise immunity. However, any modern technical system in the aggregate contains sensors, communication lines and receiving antennas sensitive to the effects of external interfering signals that propagate both through wires and over the air. Hence, the relevance of ensuring the EMC of integrated technical systems that perform the functions of measurement, data processing and the formation of control actions, both digital and analog, is obvious. The electromagnetic compatibility of a sophisticated aircraft or spaceship technical system with other systems is a prerequisite for their sustainable operation. Aerospace technology, where both highly sensitive measurements and energetic control effects are closely combined in the dense layout of an aircraft, requires a solution to the EMC problem. This paper shows the need for effective technology to control the electromagnetic radiation created in the surrounding space, both by subsystems of aircraft and by the whole object. A method for visualizing 3D electromagnetic field both in space and in time is considered.

The published article deals with air safety with a focus on the characteristics and analysis of an unadaptable passenger on board the aircraft. At the same time, the article points to statistical surveys of safety situations related to dangerous passengers, which took place on board the aircraft, procedures for interventions of cabin crew and, last but not least, seeks to raise safety awareness by illustrating and proposing possible safety measures, emphasizing the need for possible cooperation between air personnel and passengers in dealing with emergencies. This study aimed to conduct an ecophysiological investigation of monumental plane trees (Platanus orientalis L.) located in the Abana district of Kastamonu province. To this end, we measured the amounts of some bioactive chemicals in the leaves of the trees and young plane trees in the immediate vicinity, in addition to enzyme activities and nutrient contents. The data show that the oldest trees have the highest contents of chlorophyll and carotenoid pigment, proline, and protein, in addition to APX activity, and that the contents of glucose and pyruvic acid, in addition to the chlorophyll a to chlorophyll b ratio and CAT and SOD activities are higher in young trees. K, P, S, Cl, Zn, Ni, and Cu ions show the highest value in monumental trees, but Mg, Ca, Na, Si, and Fe show the highest value in young trees. The results show that photosynthetic pigments, proline, protein, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), sucrose, and K, P, S, Cl, Zn, and Cu have had a positive effect on the growth physiology of monumental plane trees. The findings indicate that understanding the ecophysiology of plane trees may help in ensuring the long-term and damage-free survival of these trees. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Reflectional symmetry is a potentially very useful feature which many real-world objects exhibit. It is instrumental in a variety of applications such as object alignment, compression, symmetrical editing or reconstruction of incomplete objects. In this paper, we propose a novel differentiable symmetry measure, which allows using gradient-based optimization to find symmetry in geometric objects. We further propose a new method for symmetry plane detection in 3D objects based on this idea. The method performs well on perfectly as well as approximately symmetrical objects, it is robust to noise and to missing parts. Furthermore, it works on discrete point sets and therefore puts virtually no constraints on the input data. Due to flexibility of the symmetry measure, the method is also easily extensible, e.g., by adding more information about the input object and using it to further improve its performance. The proposed method was tested with very good results on many objects, including incomplete objects and noisy objects, and was compared to other state-of-the-art methods which it outperformed in most aspects. After the Second World War and with the establishment of the communist regime, many Romanians, dissatisfied with the new regime, tried to leave the country. The fugitives most frequently chose the road or rail route, but there were also attempts to swim across the Danub or to cross the Black Sea with inflatable boats, and the bravest tried to hijack planes. Most of the fugitives paid with their lives or ended up in the dungeons of the Security and were imprisoned for decades. In the summer of 1971, seven young people from Târgu Mureș planned, in turn, to leave the country by hijacking a Tarom plane. Abstract: Common people played an important role in ancient Egyptian religion, especially through which is known "popular religion" and "personal piety" , which had wide spread from New kingdom period onwards. One of the important places in which common people performed their cult and did their daily rites were some chapels which is called "xnw". The Khenow chapels were built through streets and lanes in cities and villages, it had simple plane, and contained a statue or a stela of the god who was worshiped inside it. Through texts and excavations we knew little information about some khenow chapels such as: *Khenow the king Ramesses II. * Khenow Ptah. * Khenow Amon-Re. * Khenow Keserty. * Khenow Horemakhet.
