The problem of fleeting time and its effective use has deep roots in human history. Many generations have asked the question of what time is, how it can be controlled, and if it cannot be controlled, how to deal with this enormous influence on human life. Time is the most valuable resource that you have to learn to manage. The more we manage to do, the better the quality of our work and life in general. And in the conditions of digital transformation and acceleration of changes, a clear order sometimes helps to maintain focus on goals, not to deviate from the course, and, ultimately, to be in demand in the labor market. The main drivers of the time management system are management methods and techniques. Techniques allow different ways to compose a plan for different periods and evaluate priority. The methods, in turn, solve the issue of the implementation of this plan. The implementation tool is no less important, and here information systems have offered themselves very well. The possibility of dynamic planning, scalability, a system of reminders, and a system of rewards - all reflects powerful solutions for the introduction of time management. This work offers an overview of the process of developing a convenient information system with time management methods. A study of time management methods was conducted. An information model was developed that combines Pomodoro techniques, ABC analysis based on the Eisenhower principle, and Getting Things Done. This model allows you to classify tasks according to the degree of importance, divide them into different groups and lists, assign time for long-term and short-term tasks, and analyze the degree of completion of each task and the work as a whole. Modeling of the information system was carried out using the unified modeling language UML and its diagrams of precedents, deployment, classes, packages, and components, which simplify the creation of the application logic and reflect the structure of the application. The design of the system was also carried out using the creation of a prototype in the online vector service Figma. The information system is implemented as a client-server web-oriented application based on the MERN technology stack. React is used to develop the web application interface, Node.js, and the Express.js framework for the application server, which implements the creation and request of APIs for communicating with the document-oriented database management system MongoDB using the mongoose module.

Accelerating climate change is causing severe habitat fragmentation in the Arctic, threatening the persistence of many cold-adapted species. The Scandinavian arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) is highly fragmented, with a once continuous, circumpolar distribution, it struggled to recover from a demographic bottleneck in the late 19th century. The future persistence of the entire Scandinavian population is highly dependent on the northernmost Fennoscandian subpopulations (Scandinavia and the Kola Peninsula), to provide a link to the viable Siberian population. By analyzing 43 arctic fox genomes, we quantified genomic variation and inbreeding in these populations. Signatures of genome erosion increased from Siberia to northern Sweden indicating a stepping-stone model of connectivity. In northern Fennoscandia, runs of homozygosity (ROH) were on average ~1.47-fold longer than ROH found in Siberia, stretching almost entire scaffolds. Moreover, consistent with recent inbreeding, northern Fennoscandia harbored more homozygous deleterious mutations, whereas Siberia had more in heterozygous state. This study underlines the value of documenting genome erosion following population fragmentation to identify areas requiring conservation priority. With the increasing fragmentation and isolation of Arctic habitats due to global warming, understanding the genomic and demographic consequences is vital for maintaining evolutionary potential and preventing local extinctions.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS The patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) due to type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are at a high risk of adverse outcomes of COVID-19. The causes of high mortality in this cohort are the subject of debate. Identification of the risk factors (RF) of adverse COVID-19 outcomes in patients with T2DM and advanced stages of DKD at hospital admission. METHOD The patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 were included in the retrospective observational study during the hospitalization in MCCH №52, the observation period being 04 January 2020 to 31 October 2020. The study endpoints were the outcomes of hospitalization—discharge or lethal outcome. Data were collected from electronic medical database. The following independent variables were analyzed at hospital admission: gender, age, duration of T2DM, general comorbidity (Charlson Index, CCI), the insulin demand (InsD), fasting blood glucose (FBG), body mass index (BMI), NEWS scale points, white blood cell (WBC), lymphocytes and platelet count, CPR, serum albumin (SA), ferritin, LDH, and GFR. RESULTS A total of 120 patients were included. Mediana age was 69 years (IQR 63.5–79.5), females 53%. The observation group was divided into subgroups: (i) patients with advanced DKD according to GFR values not requiring maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) and (ii) patients on MHD. All patients were distinguished by high general comorbidity and duration of T2DM more than 10 years. The mortality in both subgroups was high (38.2% versus 38.5%, respectively). The results are presented in Table 1. CONCLUSION The patients with T2DM and advanced DKD are very vulnerable to adverse outcomes of COVID-19. High FBG, lymphopenia and high ferritin value on admission seem to be the most significant RF of lethal outcome regardless of MHD.

Construction in northern regions of the Far East is always connected with a high degree of seasonal freezing risk. This is especially true for line transport structures which require a high level of reliability and responsibility. Such structures should provide permissible deformability and bearing capacity of the bases when exposed to moving loads in difficult geological and climatic conditions. The paper considered the development of bridge supports stabilizing structures using mathematical modeling methods and geosynthetic materials. The study used standard methods of engineering calculations using analytical approaches to determine the rational parameters of structural elements and the degree of their operational reliability and durability. In determining the behavior of structures as a whole, with the collaborative interaction of their individual elements with each other, nonlinear soil models of the base of the structures were used. Numerical modeling of bored foundations in an elastic–plastic soil mass allowed to work out effective structural solutions for reducing the deformability of the bridge and increasing the bearing capacity of the pile foundation due to reinforcing measures in the construction of the grillage and creating rational parameters of structures as a whole.

The article is devoted to the actual environmental problem of cleaning water bodies. The authors studied the properties of new sorbents obtained from crushed leafy biomass of the southern reed (Phragmites australis) and their use in the pollution of water bodies by accidental oil spills and oil products. Information about the most common cellulose-containing sorbents used to clean up oil spills is given. The prospects of using sorbents based on crushed and carbonized leafy biomass of southern reed (Phragmites australis) for cleaning water bodies are shown. The article considers options for stabilizing the thawing process of permafrost soil of railways during the reconstruction period. The analysis of the engineering and geological conditions made it possible to design rock cooling structures at this facility, which are berms and cover slopes of the subgrade with fractionated rocky soil. The technical characteristics of fractionated rock soil structures have been developed and tested in this cryological area and have shown their effective operation for more than 30 years. As a result of the operation of the railway embankment, permafrost degrades and its boundary is at different depths depending on local conditions and the condition of the drainage systems from the subgrade. The position of the upper permafrost boundary should be established during surveys, if it is not advisable to restore the frozen base to a depth of 10 m, it is necessary to strengthen the thawed weak base and create conditions for the consolidation of thawed soils.

The paper focuses on the aspects of translating specialised lexical units of technical texts. Metaphorised means of cognitive information, namely terms, are of particular interest within the framework of technical texts characterized by the presence of cognitive information, which is dominant in such texts. Our hypothesis is that modern technical patents registering copyright for specific latest inventions may contain terms formed as a result of the metaphoric transfer with the purpose of rendering the cognitive information. Drawing upon English-language patents presenting discoveries in the area of nanotechnology and nanomaterials and selected from PATENTSCOPE database of the World Intellectual Property Organisation by the continuous sampling method, this paper highlights the techniques of translating metaphorised terms into Russian. To achieve the set goal, the comparative and descriptive methods have been utilized. The analysis of patents and their Russian translations has revealed that the following methods have been used to translate metaphorised terms: metaphorisation, with the meaning transfer method being retained; remetaphorisation, with the meaning transfer method being changed; demetaphorisation; demetaphorisation or metaphorisation of one and the same metaphorised term. The research demonstrates that remetaphorisation is the least used technique. The practical value of this paper consists in the use of the terminology research outcomes for translation purposes and in translation theory and practice courses.

The article provides a way to prevent deformation of linear structures in connection with the laying of the heat mains, which contributes to the formation of ice. The considered pavement design when laying the heating system is being erected on a section of the highway belonging to category III roads. The results of scientific research and engineering calculations of the parameters of rational road structures when laying a heating network are presented using the example of the Far Eastern section of the highway. Development is a generalization of the results of solving engineering, scientific and computational-applied problems. In the considered area, a heating network is laid, which will subsequently warm the outer surface of the asphalt concrete due to the heat generated by the pipes, which will cause ice formation on the outer surface of the asphalt concrete in the period with negative temperatures.

The article presents numerical modeling techniques, calculations, and recommendations for rational roadbed structures in the zone of permafrost and soft soils in the independent railway line construction areas that are in the zone of influence of the constructed reservoir in the Far East Federal District of Russia, taking into account constructional measures that reduce the intensity and uneven deformation of the defrost base. The usage of a geomaterials in the structure allows to lessen considerably the volume of expensive hard mineral volcanic filling of high quality. Numeric modeling of the structure behavior was done using a programming geotechnical complex, an “FEM model.” This allowed to give a quantitative and qualitative assessment of freezing and thawing processes in conditions of annual cycle construction.

The objective of the work is to develop a rational construction of an artificially prepared base of the foundation, using modern technologies and advanced geosynthetic materials that provide the operational reliability of the structure under special conditions of the construction site. The task of the research study is to develop geotechnical structures, based on the results of numerical modeling of using the properties of modern geosynthetic materials which provides the operational reliability of the joint operation of a weak base with the foundations of a building on Sakhalin Island in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents operating in the Russian Federation.

The construction and operation of bridge foundations in permafrost conditions is associated with many problems, the most urgent of which is the degradation of the frozen state of soils due to the effect of solar radiation on the thawing process. Thawing of permafrost soils of the base significantly affects structures, the design of which does not provide for thorough protection from natural factors - first of all, these are railway bridges. The changing climate has a destructive effect on permafrost soils, which is destructive for infrastructure facilities operated in the permafrost zone. The aim of the given work is to increase the efficiency of systems that regulate the temperature regime of permafrost soils of the bridges foundations which are located on railways in permafrost regions.
