Using a sample of 2301 listed firms from emerging markets for 2014–2023, we examine the effect of financial flexibility (FF) on firm risk‐taking (FRT) and how this relationship is moderated by investment efficiency (INVEFF). GMM and bias‐corrected method of moments models indicate a positive impact of FF on FRT. Notably, INVEFF emerges as a significant moderator, influencing the FF–FRT relationship. High INVEFF strategically amplifies the effect of FF on FRT. Robustness analysis ensures the stability of study findings. Amid China's dynamic economic backdrop, Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) and stock market indices hold pivotal roles, this research delves into EPU and its connection with the stock price index (SPI). By uncovering patterns linking these variables, the study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of their relationship. We employ wavelet coherence analysis and a phase difference approach to investigate EPU impact on China's SPI from 2010 to 2020. Through this lens, the interactions between these economic variables are illuminated. Using wavelet coherence analysis, the temporal dynamics of EPU and SPI are explored. The phase difference approach further highlights the temporal alignment of fluctuations, capturing the intricate relationship. The analysis reveals compelling findings. A robust correlation between EPU and the SPI emerges, particularly at low frequencies, underscoring a substantive connection. The phase difference analysis indicates a positive influence of EPU on stock prices, highlighting its impact on SPI. Besides, implications imply EPU shapes stock market behavior, moving beyond mere correlation. A causal link is established, emphasizing EPU's proactive role in influencing stock prices. Bidirectional causation underscores the interdependence of EPU and stock price movements. This research enhances understanding of EPU's effects on stock prices in China. This research work exemplifies a bibliometric study of communications published in the Journal of Informetrics from 2012 to 2016. The main schema and source used for this study is the Web of Science domain. A bibliometric analysis of 459 records was conducted using MS Excel. The study indicated that the maximum number of articles were in the year 2016, representing 23% of total contributions. Top contributing organizations during the study period were Max Planck Society of Germany, Indiana University of USA, and University Roma Tor Vergata of Italy. Top contributing authors included Lutz Bornmann, Mike Thelwall, and Ludo Waltman. China led top contributing countries followed by the United States of America and Italy. Authorship collaboration was dominated by multi-authored contributions as 72.11% of the communications were multi-authored while 27.89% of communications were single-authored. The degree of collaboration of JOI communications was found to be 72.1%. The average number of authors for JOI communications was 2.44. The highest number of references and tables/figures were appended to the communications published in JOI during 2016. Most of the papers (76%) accepted for publication in JOI were published within two months. This study investigated papers published in the Journal of Informetrics during 2012-2016 only. Scholarly published scientific journals' quality and the standard were measured in recent years based on their scientific indicators such as Journal Impact Factor (IF), citation values, and journal ranking values. Any experimental writer and researcher will investigate these factors of journals before publishing their research output. Analyzing and comparing these indicators among different bibliographic databases are welcomed by the research community and will give them some insight to decide or to choose which journals they need to select for publishing their research outputs. The main objective of the research work undertaken was to assess the impact and visibility of 66 Arabian journals using JCR bibliometric indicators for comparison of journal quality, i.e. comparison of Journal Impact Factor (JIF), Eugen Factor Score (ES), Cite Score (CS), Source normalized impact per publication (SNIP), Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR), and H5 index. This study also aimed to determine whether these indices were an alternative to each other for estimating the quality of 66 Arabian journals. The research data was collected from the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases. The JIF and ES were taken from the WoS and CS, SNIP and SJR from Scopus. The analysis for this study was done using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. Maximum Pearson's (r) statistical correlation was found between JIF and CS (r=0.844) while Maximum Spearman's (?) statistical correlation was found between JIF and CS (?=0.843). This study carried out the scientometric analysis of road traffic accident research in India from 1977 to 2020. It aimed to examine type of publications with their citations and usage, the year wise publication and citation growth, most preferred journals, authors' preference of keywords used, collaboration of Indian authors, authorship pattern and most prolific authors, and top contributing organizations. During 44 years of study, 1,132 research items were published and indexed in Web of Science (WoS) bibliographic database. Analysis discovered that number of publications increased from one (0.08%) in 1977 to 182 (16.07%) in 2018 and observed good progress in scholarly literature. Majority of scholarly publications were published in the form of article (740, 65.37%). From 2006 to 2018, number of publications increased rapidly from 11 (0.97%) to 182 (16.07%) publications, which was the most productive year for the researchers. On an average 25.73 documents were published per year and received 392.95 citations per year. Journal of Evaluation of Medical and Dental Sciences published majority of the publications (108, 30.50%). The word "Trauma" was the most frequently used keyword. Majority of publications (83.38%) on road traffic accidents (RTA) were written by the Indian authors individually or with local collaboration. Majority of the publications (1,081, 95.49%) were written by multiple authors while 51 publications (4.51%) were from single author. Most prolific authors were Tiwari, G. and Mohan, D. with 18 publications each. The Indian Institute of Technology was highly contributing organization, which published 120 documents (10.60%). he study aimed to investigate into the preparedness of Pakistani LIS profession for research endeavors and recommend measures to improve its preparedness for research. The interview guide was prepared and the author conducted interviews with 55 LIS professionals by visiting different cities. Interview data were audio-recorded and analyzed qualitatively to explore the preparedness of Pakistani LIS profession for the research. Qualitative analysis of 55 interviews revealed that majority of Pakistani LIS professionals had obtained formal education or training for conducting research but the teaching of Research Methodology course at master level was seriously flawed. It disclosed that although aptitude for research was necessary but one also needed some skills and abilities to become a successful researcher. Analysis showed that education or training of research and facilities for the same were not issues for LIS research in Pakistan but the quality of research education was an issue. Results revealed that availability of physical facilities was not an issue for LIS research in Pakistan. The study concluded that majority of LIS professionals were not prepared for research work despite the fact that they had obtained research education because they lacked skills and knowledge required to carry out research. Individual behaviors play an important role in success or failure of any project or task. Successful completion of research ventures depends on behavior of researchers conducting research, their colleagues, employers, fellow researchers, and above all the people from whom they collect data. This study aimed to investigate into the behavioral issues affecting library and information science (LIS) research in Pakistan and to recommend measures to overcome these issues. A semi-structured interview-based survey was conducted and people were asked to present their point of view about behavioral issues hindering LIS research in Pakistan. An interview guide was prepared to keep the interviews focused on topic of the study. Sample of the study comprised of 58 Pakistani authors, both academicians and practitioners, who had contributed to LIS research through their publications. Qualitative analysis of interview transcripts revealed that lack of cooperation from people in data collection, attitude of employers, encouragement from seniors to young researchers, and research collaboration among professionals were the issues affecting LIS research. However, no general perception was identified about attitude of colleagues during research. The study concluded that researchers could attain better response from people through use of personal contacts, networking, persuasion and selection of good research methodology. The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth and formats of Pakistani library and information science (LIS) literature produced from 1947 to 2008. A research design conprising of quantitative methods was used to achieve the objective of the study. A database was designed and developed for collection of bibliographic details of LIS literature produced in Pakistan. Bibliographic data were collected from 89 different sources via database. These data were then transferred to Microsoft Excel for bibliometric analysis. Bibliometric analysis of LIS literature produced in Pakistan revealed that average growth of literature was 83.79 items per year. Research activities were at the peak during 1989-1998 whereas least productive period was 1947-1958. Study of output formats used for dissemination of research results showed that journal article was the most preferred format followed by theses. This Study aimed to analyze Pakistani LIS literature to evaluate authors' productivity rank authors, and evaluate collaboration patterns. A WinISIS database was designed and 1947 to 2008. Studies on different Bibliometric laws, especially Lotka's Law, reveal that results are not consistent when we apply these laws to different data sets in different fields of studies. This paper continues the study of exactness of Bibliometric laws through application of Lotka's law to library and information science (LIS) field. It presents Bibliometric analysis of LIS literature produced in Pakistan during 1947-2008 and tests the applicability of Lotka's law to Pakistani LIS authors. An analysis of authorship pattem for 5195 items revealed that 2609 authors contributed to Pakistani literature during 62 years period under study. Results showed that majority of authors produced only one item in their entire professional career. The results of the study indicated that there was a wide gap between the number of authors observed and number of authors expected for different number of items produced. The researchers also applied the Kohnogorov-Smimov (K-S) test, using Lotka software, to determine goodness of fit and foimd that data failed the test at all levels (1%, 5% and 10% levels). Library and Information Science (LIS) literature mirrors the development of the LIS profession, which needs to be analyzed for growth of the profession and to overcome its weaknesses. Bibliometric methods have been widely used in LIS research for analysis of literature. This study aims to review use of bibliometrics in LIS research. It concludes that bibliometrics has been found to be very useful in solving diverse issues. However, its application to LIS literature is not very common in Pakistan and this area of research needs attention. It recommends provision of better access to literature, comprehensive bibliographical control and sharing of best practices to enhance the use of bibliometrics in LIS research.
