This paper calls for a recalibration of how cultural geography engages with music, lyrics, motion, and emotion. Within existing geographical work on music, research on the music itself remains scarce, with reflection on lyrics rarer still. This paper addresses this via a close reading of the work of the Glaswegian group, The Blue Nile. It examines how the trio – and especially their principal songwriter, Paul Buchanan – used lyrics as a means for articulating distinctive conceptions of movement and stillness. The significance of song-words themselves is considered, but so too is their mode of delivery, and their relationship to the enveloping musical settings they are embedded in. The importance of time, space and place in The Blue Nile's work is analysed and the methods by which they are evoked is investigated. The paper moves discussion on from well-covered terrain regarding music as a conduit for expressing youth focussed tropes, such as rebellion and speed, focusing instead on music's facility for voicing ideas of slowness and immobility, particularly in urban settings. In doing so, it demonstrates popular music's value for articulating sensations that are now being encountered with ever greater frequency, including those of stasis, drift, and disconnection.

Pedilanthus leaf curl virus (PeLCV) is a widely encountered monopartite begomovirus with a wide host range that usually associates with a betasatellite. The cloned PeLCV used was highly infectious to Nicotiana benthamiana plants by agroinoculation and symptoms were enhanced by co-inoculation with tobacco leaf curl betasatellite (TbLCB). The study investigated the effects of the mutation of the coat protein (CP), V2, C2 and C4 genes of PeLCV on infectivity, symptoms and maintenance of TbLCB in N. benthamiana. Mutation of the CP abolished infectivity of PeLCV, which was not rescued by co-inoculation with TbLCB. Mutation of the V2 gene severely reduced infectivity that, in a small number of plants, was rescued by TbLCB, resulting in plants with very mild symptoms. Mutation of the C2 or V4 genes led to a significant reduction in virus infectivity, but also to non-symptomatic infections. Co-inoculation of either mutant with TbLCB led to a greater number of plants infected but fewer plants ultimately maintained the betasatellite, compared with inoculation of the betasatellite with the wild-type virus, indicating that the C2 and C4 proteins play a role in the maintenance of the betasatellite. For the C2 mutation, but not the C4 mutation, the presence of the betasatellite also resulted in mild symptoms. The results here, in conjunction with earlier studies, highlight commonalities as well as differences for the effects of gene mutations and interactions with betasatellites of different begomoviruses, indicating that begomovirus--betasatellite interaction is highly nuanced. - Abstract
Objectives: We identified profiles of wake-time movement behaviours (sedentary behaviours, light intensity physical activity and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity) based on accelerometer-derived features among older adults and then examined their association with all-cause mortality. Methods: Data were drawn from a prospective cohort of 3991 Whitehall II accelerometer substudy participants aged 60–83 years in 2012–2013. Daily movement behaviour profiles were identified using k-means cluster analysis based on 13 accelerometer-assessed features characterising total duration, frequency, bout duration, timing and activity intensity distribution of movement behaviour. Cox regression models were used to assess the association between derived profiles and mortality risk. Results: Over a mean follow-up of 8.1 (SD 1.3) years, a total of 410 deaths were recorded. Five distinct profiles were identified and labelled as 'active' (healthiest), 'active sitters', 'light movers', 'prolonged sitters', and 'most sedentary' (most deleterious). In model adjusted for sociodemographic, lifestyle, and health-related factors, compared with the 'active' profile, 'active sitters' (HR 1.57, 95% CI 1.01 to 2.44), 'light movers' (HR 1.75, 95% CI 1.17 to 2.63), 'prolonged sitters' (HR 1.67, 95% CI 1.11 to 2.51), 'most sedentary' (HR 3.25, 95% CI 2.10 to 5.02) profiles were all associated with a higher risk of mortality. Conclusion: Given the threefold higher mortality risk among those with a 'most sedentary' profile, public health interventions may target this group wherein any improvement in physical activity and sedentary behaviour might be beneficial.

GRAVITY - Abstract
The common belief in the history of science always relates the theory of relativity to the German physicist Albert Einstein, but many interested in the history of physics have doubt about this view, A number of scientists were able to know many of the ideas of theory of relativity before Einstein, Without their efforts, Einstein could not have built up the theory of relativity, The importance of these scientists is that they rebelled against old ideas and introduced new and bold ideas. They paved the way for a new paradigm of thinking in the physical world and opened a new phase in physics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Are the times when the male character looks up to the sky and contemplates the constellations (Le Chercheur d’or) or particularly the sun (Le Procès-verbal) a lead to genealogy, time or human condition reflexions? Is there a Paradigme astral, a dream of plasmaticité which ceases to split Le Clezio’s work in two antagonists places, (earth versus sky)? We test the hypothesis of an astral area which would rather be a breathe, an atmosphere living to the cosmic rythm than a place up and apart, to see, or to calculate. How can this Paradigm question our view, our way to live in ? What stake, besides the sun's centrality brought by Copernic? Various strategies set in motion what freezes the representation of the celestial world. The analysis of the connection to sky in Le chercheur d’or allows to understand how Alexis leaves his way of living in to become breath. The matter of L’Inconnu sur la terre, which, due to his poetic essai's form, simplifies a dream of levitation, rather mundane, classic, precisely is that plasmabilité which furthers the common dream to fly, just like Icare, mythological reference that Le Clézio stages while deconstructing it in the meantime.

Movement velocity (MV) has been featured as a more accurate and stable variable for resistance exercise (RE) monitoring. However, its application in RE prescription based on self-selected MV (MVss) is not possible because the benefits were evaluated only in the maximal intended MV practice context. Thus, the objective of this study was to verify the validity and reliability of MVss as a performance measure in RE. A group of 41 people (28.75 ± 10.06 years, 77.25 ± 9.04 kg, 1.76 ± 0.06 m for men and 30.25 ± 15.97 years, 62.96 ± 14.31 kg, 1.65 ± 0.06 for women) volunteered to participate in this study, and their performances were evaluated in knee extension and close grip pull-down, using a rotary position transducer. In fact, the results presented evidence of concurrent validity of MVss, although its predictive validity must be questioned (R2 = 0.5; P < 0.05). Moreover, two points of performance transitions seem to exist, which could characterize three distinct zones of effort. Additionally, performances in both RE presented reasonable indicatives of reliability in consecutive evaluations (typical error = 0.05–0.07 m/s), suggesting the existence of minimal MVss thresholds. Despite the positive analyses of validity and reliability, practical applications of the MVss thresholds proposed here should be viewed with caution for RE monitoring in the individual context, taking into account the real capability to discriminate maximal and submaximal performances not supported by average-based comparisons.

- Abstract
The problem of the restitution of motion in the artistic images from classical antiquity is explored through the philosophical and anthropological conceptions of the movement in Greek thought. The concepts of σχῆμα and ῥυθμός are fundamental to clarify the dialectical relationship between movement and stasis in relation to μίμηεσις, both in dance, the “mimetic” art par excellence, and in the visual arts. A painted or sculpted figure is an ἠρεμία, an isolated punctum temporis, which nevertheless potentially contains the flow of movement, which the observer can mentally recreate by imagining what precedes and follows it. The views of the Ancients on this topic are compared with those of some modern thinkers (Lessing, Bergson, Deleuze) and the visual anthropology of Aby Warburg is reconsidered in the light of recent acquisitions of cognitive psychology and neuroesthetics. The analysis, based on existing narrative, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, was carried out by distinguishing three periods: intrauterine life; the early natal and postnatal periods; and the period of growth and development of the child. During fetal life, a regular regimen of physical activity in mothers would result in an increase in the quantity of substrates and oxygen delivered; good cardiac tolerance as well as better control of the autonomic nervous system. Fetal hyperthermia has not been observed in humans. During the natal and postnatal periods, maternal physical activity has shown favorable effects in controlling the risk of macrosomia, obesity and other associated cardio-metabolic disorders, although longitudinal studies are warranted to validate the term of such effects in humans; effects that has been observed consistently in animal studies. A remarkable effect of maternal physical activity is its positive role on neurogenesis, language development, memory and other cognitive functions related to learning. This observation was the most consistent in the different studies. Finally, unique results, obtained over the past five years, suggest the susceptibility of maternal physical activity during pregnancy to "program" the physical activity of her child, with a persistent effect, both on the maintenance of an active lifestyle and the control of obesity and its associated metabolic disorders, up to adulthood. This effect would be greater in girls in particular. The promotion of regular physical activity in women of childbearing age and during pregnancy appears as a public health priority to improve the "health capital" of the next generation. This virtual special issue introduces the range of work in Social & Cultural Geography on the broad topics of migration, mobilities and movement. We identify three key themes that have emerged over the past 20 years, and illustrate these themes through 10 representative papers published in the journal. First, we discuss the centrality of place to how social and cultural geographers have written about migration and mobilities. Second, we discuss the practice of mobility, paying particular attention to how social and cultural geographers have highlighted everyday and exceptional mobilities. Third, we illustrate the critical geographies of migration and mobilities that have emerged more recently. We conclude with a reflection on the future of migration and mobilities research in social and cultural geography. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article offers a relational analysis of the use of armed drones in the 'war on terror'. Drawing from Erin Manning's writings on movement, relations, and the posthuman, I explore how bodies and spaces are read as digitised data in the processes of the drone assemblage, reducing movement to displacement and undoing relations of becoming. The drone's violence lies in its crippling of bodies' capacity to respond to their immediate environments and relations. The point of departure for this article is the concept of the 'virtual' as drawn out by Manning: the indeterminate potential of movement which moves bodies and relations. My analysis revisits the transcripts of Uruzgan drone attack in Afghanistan in 2010, a case that has been extensively studied in the critical literature on drones to offer conceptions of what it means for the drone to be a posthuman entity. Instead of situating the drone as a posthuman object, I examine it from a posthuman methodology where the focus is on relations, rather than determinate actors or outcomes. My intervention here is twofold: to propose a framework for understanding the drone's violence in its processes of disrupting and undoing relations, and relatedly to argue for the methodological and theoretical value of the posthuman. This review aims to: (1) map the use of sonification in human movement tasks for physical therapy; (2) identify methods of data capture, tasks and its effects on human subjects; (3) suggest future research directions. Sonification can be described as a technique to translate data into sound. It has been used for human motion analysis tasks even if it is not part of most physical therapist's lexicon. Identify and analyze publications where sonification was used as an audio-feedback technique for physical therapy. Thirty-five papers were included, 13 randomized-control-trials. Thirteen papers reported an investigation on a specific dysfunction, while upper limb movements were investigated in fifteen papers. Inertial measurement units were the most commonly used technology to capture human movement, 10 papers reported improvements in motor control and/or movement quality. Gaps in the literature were identified: (1) absence of sonification framework for rehabilitation, (2) no long-term comparison with gold-standard interventions for specific populations, (3) approaches for cardio-respiratory physical therapy and injury prevention were absent. Sonification has the potential to support rehabilitation for physical therapy. Effects of sonification were varied and ranged from improvements in movement quality/control, increased movement and body-awareness and improvements in performance when compared with activities with audio-visual or non-specific audio-feedback among others. Data for sonification was mainly captured using inertial measurement units, smartphones and optical tracking devices but others are also commonly used. Well-designed clinical trials supported by current promising results need to be developed. We recommend testing different sonification techniques in common physical therapy disfunctions using significant outcome measures to understand and maximize its effects on motor learning and control while scoping for further benefits. The purpose of this study was to compare the dominant and non-dominant legs in respect of dynamic and static balance and to examine the effect of sport type, sportive experience and BMI on the static and dynamic balance of adolescent male judoists and wrestlers. The results of the study could be beneficial for the prevention of injury to the athletes and could be applied to training management. The study included 54 healthy, male, adolescent wrestlers and judoists (mean age: 15.81 ± 0.87 years; height: 165.01 ± 8.73 cm; weight: 62.01 ± 11.94 kg). Static and dynamic balance were assessed using the flamingo balance test (FBT) and the star excursion balance test (SEBT) in an institution-based sports sciences department. No statistically significant differences were determined between the dominant and non-dominant leg in the normalized SEBT reach distances (P > 0.05). The static balance performance scores were compared between the groups and the judoists were found to have higher static balance performance than the wrestlers (P < 0.05). Both adolescent judoists and wrestlers were found to have higher static and dynamic balance scores compared to other sports branches, and the judoists were determined to have better static and dynamic balance performances than the wrestlers.

HUMAN migrations , *SOCIAL dynamics , *ISOTOPIC analysis , *STRONTIUM isotopes , *DNA analysis - Abstract
In the last decade, the exponential increase in migration studies focusing on the mobility of groups and single individuals—mostly based on aDNA and strontium isotope analyses—has provided an important extra layer of information regarding past social dynamics. The current relatively large quantity of data and their constant increase provide an opportunity to examine human mobility in unprecedented detail. In short, the course of academic dialogue is changing from producing evidence for movement to examining differences or similarities in human mobilities across temporal and geographical barriers. Moreover, the amount and type of new data are beginning to provide new kinds of information that can help us grasp why that movement first came about. We present the first potential mobility model focusing on single individuals during different life stages based on in vivo movement patterns. We draw on previous studies in recent mobility research that provide a variety of case studies to illustrate the model. We hope that this model will prove valuable for future discussions regarding human mobility by integrating the present archaeological contextual discourse with the increasing body of data being produced. Lung and some digestive tumours move during a respiratory cycle. Four-dimensional scanography (4D-CT) is commonly used in treatment planning to account for respiratory motion. Although many French radiotherapy centres are now equipped, there are no guidelines on this subject to date. We wanted to draw up a description of the use of the 4D-CT for the treatment planning in France. We conducted a survey in all French radiotherapy centres between March and April 2017. One hundred and seventy-two were contacted. The participation rate was 88.37%. The use of the 4D-CT seems to be common and concerned planning for 15.28% of kidney and adrenal cancers, 19.72% of pancreatic cancers, 27.78% of oesophageal cancers and 73.24% of lung cancers in case of normofractionated treatments. The use of the 4D-CT was also widespread in the case of stereotactic body radiation therapy: with 61.11% in the case of pulmonary irradiation and 34.72% in the case of hepatic irradiation. Many centres declared they carried out several 4D-CT for treatment planning (29, 55% in case of stereotactic body radiation therapy for lung tumours and 20% for liver tumours). Private centres tend to repeat 4D-CT more. Although the use of the 4D-CT appears to be developing, it remains very heterogeneous. To date, the repetition of the 4D-CT has been very poorly studied and could be the subject of clinical studies, allowing to define in which indications and for which populations there is a real benefit.
