Bu çalışmada esnek1,4-bis((1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)metil)benzen (ptmb) ligandı esas alınarak 120°C de hidrotermal sentez yöntemiyle [ZnCl2(µ-ptmb)]n (1) ve [Cd(µ4-SO4)(µ-ptmb)]n (2) kapalı formülüne sahip iki yeni Çinko(II) veKadmiyum(II) koordinasyon polimeri sentezlenmiştir. X-ışınları tek kristalanaliz sonuçlarına göre 1 ve 2 kompleksi sırasıyla P-1 uzay grubu ile triklinikve Pccn uzay grubu ile ortorombik kristal sisteminde kristallenmişlerdir. 1 de Zn(II) iyonları iki ptmb ligandıve iki klor ile tetrahedral geometri göstermiştir. Ptmb ligandı komşu Zn(II)merkezleri arasında köprü rolü oynayarak 1D zig-zag polimerik zincir yapılaroluşturmuştur. 2, de Cd(II) iyonları iki ptmb ve dörtfarklı sülfat ligandı ile oktahedral geometri sergilemiştir. Dört bitişikCd(II) iyonları 2D tabaka oluşturmak için dört sülfat ligandı ile köprülenmiştir. 2D tabakalar köprü ptmb ligandısayesinde 3D kafes yapıya genişler. Ayrıca, yeni komplekslerintermal özellikleri incelenmiştir., Two Zinc(II) and Cadmium(II) coordination polymers, namely [ZnCl2(µ-ptmb)]n (1) and [Cd(µ4-SO4)(µ-ptmb)]n (2) have been obtained with hydrothermal method at 120°C based on flexible ligand1,4-bis((1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene (ptmb) in this study. Thesingle-crystal X-ray analyses indicate that complexes 1 and 2 crystallize inthe triclinic with P-1 space group and the orthorhombic crystal system withspace group Pccn, respectively. In 1,Zn(II) ions display a tetrahedral geometry with two chloride and two ptmbligands. The ptmb ligand acts to bridge neighboring Zn(II) centres into a 1Dzig-zag polymeric chain structures. In 2,Cd(II) ions display octahedral geometry with two ptmb and four differentsulfato ligands. Four contiguous Cd(II) ions are bridged through the agency offour sulfato ligands to form a 2D layer. Two adjacent 2D layers furtherextended into a 3D structure through the bridging ptmb ligands. Besides, thethermal properties of synthesized new complexeshave been investigated.

The title compound, C21H23NO4S, obtained by alkaline treatment of 1,5-bis(1-phenoxy)-3-azapentane at moderate heating, is a N-tosylated secondary vinylamine. An intramolecular S=O...H—C hydrogen bond generates a 13-membered ring. The benzalacetone moiety adopts a trans conformation with respect to the C=C double bond, which is slightly longer than usual due to the conjugation with a neighbouring acetyl group. Theoretical predictions of potential biological activities were performed, suggesting that the title compound can inhibit gluconate 2-dehydrogenase (85% probability), as well as to act as a mucomembranous protector (73%).

Self-assembly of CuX2 with C3-symmetric tridentate ligand, 1,3,5-tris(nicotinoyloxy-methyl)benzene (L), affords thermodynamically stable C2-symmetric metallacyclodimers, [Cu2X2L2(H2O)2]X2(H2O)2 (X− = NO3−, BF4−, and ClO4−) in high yields. These cyclodimeric species show the significant anion effects on the catechol oxidation catalysis in chloroform in the order [Cu2(NO3)2L2(H2O)2](NO3)2(H2O)2 > [Cu2(BF4)2L2(H2O)2](BF4)2(H2O)2 > [Cu2(ClO4)2L2(H2O)2](ClO4)2(H2O)2.

A new lead(II)-organic architecture [Pb(HL) (dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine (dppz))](H2O)2 (1) was successfully prepared under hydrothermal conditions by using organic-acid linker 5-((4-carboxyphenoxy)methyl) benzene-1,3-dioic acid (H3L) and N-donor chelating ligand dppz. The as-prepared complex was characterized by single-crystal X-ray structural analysis, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and elemental analyses, which reveals that complex 1 shows a one-dimensional (1D) chain-like structure that is further extended to the 3D supermolecular network through H-bond and π-π interactions. Complex 1 was transformed to the nanoscale regime (ca. 190 nm) by mechanical grinding to yield the nano-1, maintaining its structure and crystallinity. Furthermore, the anticancer activity of the nano-1 toward the human neuroglioma cells (U251, U87, SHG-44, and A172) was evaluated via the MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assay.

In the title compound, C14H11ClN2O2S, the dihedral angle between the pyrrolo[1,2-c]pyrimidine ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.008 Å) and the benzene ring is 80.2 (9)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C—H...O interactions generate R 2 2(16) loops. Several aromatic π–π stacking interactions between the pyrrolo[1,2-c]pyrimidine rings, as well as separately between the pyrrolo and pyrimidine groups [shortest centroid–centroid separation = 3.5758 (14) Å], help to consolidate the packing.

In the extended structure of the title molecular salt, C6H9N2 +·C7H7O3S−, the cations and anions are linked by N—H...O hydrogen bonds to generate [010] chains.

The mol­ecule in the title compound has the shape of the letter L. In the crystal, weak 4-tolyl-C—H⋯π(C6-ring of indole) and S—O⋯π(1,3-dioxole) contacts link the mol­ecules into a supra­molecular layer in the ab plane., In the title indole derivative, C17H15NO4S, the fused dioxolo-indole system is essentially planar [r.m.s. deviation of the 12 fitted atoms = 0.0249 Å] and is effectively perpendicular to the appended 4-tolyl ring, forming a dihedral angle of 89.95 (6)°. Overall, the mol­ecule has the shape of the letter L. In the crystal, supra­molecular layers in the ab plane are formed via weak 4-tolyl-C—H⋯π(C6-ring of indole) and S—O⋯π(1,3-dioxole) contacts. The aforementioned inter­actions along with inter­atomic H⋯H and H⋯O contacts are all shown to make significant contributions to the calculated Hirshfeld surfaces.

The structure of the title salt, C6H10N2 2+·2C7H7O3S−, consists of a unique benzene-1,2-diaminium dication charge balanced by a pair of crystallographically independent 4-methylbenzene-1-sulfonate anions. The cations and anions are interlinked by several N—H...O hydrogen bonds.

The planar achiral title compound has C 2v symmetry and crystallizes in the chiral space group P21., The title compound, C10H10O4, was synthesized from tetra­methyl-1,4-benzo­quinone. In the crystal, the almost planar mol­ecule (r.m.s. deviation = 0.024 Å) forms intra­molecular hydrogen bonds between the aldehyde and hy­droxy groups and exhibits C 2v symmetry. This achiral mol­ecule crystallizes in the chiral space group P21 with inter­molecular O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonding and C—H⋯π and C=O⋯π inter­actions stabilizing the crystal packing.

Two isostructural fluorinated metal-organic frameworks [M(Fbix)(ox)]n (where M = Zn or Mn, Fbix = 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-1,4-bis(imidazole-1-yl-methyl)benzene, ox = oxalate) have been synthesised from Fbix and oxamide under hydrothermal conditions, where oxalate is generated by the in situ hydrolysation of oxamide. The complexes are isostructural and display similar two-dimensional undulating sql nets formed by pillaring the one-dimensional [M(ox)]n chains through Fbix linkers. Their solid-state fluorescence spectra indicate a ligand-based emission for both complexes.

The dinuclear compound, [Me(2-MeC6H4S)In-μ-(2-MeC6H4S)2InMe(2-MeC6H4S)], was prepared from the 1:2 reaction of Me3In and 2-MeC6H4SH in toluene. Its crystal structure exhibits a four-membered In2S2 ring core via bridging (2-MeC6H4S) groups. The dimeric units are further associated into a one-dimensional polymeric structure via inter­molecular In⋯S contacts., The dinuclear title compound, [In2(CH3)2(C7H7S)4] or [Me(2-MeC6H4S)In-μ-(2-MeC6H4S)2InMe(2-MeC6H4S)], was prepared from the 1:2 reaction of Me3In and 2-MeC6H4SH in toluene. Its crystal structure exhibits a four-membered In2S2 ring core via bridging (2-MeC6H4S) groups. The dimeric units are further associated into a one-dimensional polymeric structure extending parallel to the a axis via inter­molecular In⋯S contacts. The In atoms are then in distorted trigonal–bipyramidal CS4 bonding environments.

Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots indicate that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H⋯H (43.1%), O⋯H/H⋯O (40.9%), C⋯H/H⋯C (8.8%) and C⋯C (5.5%) inter­actions.

In the crystal structure of the title compound, the sulfonamide N—H group forms an inter­molecular hydrogen bond to the amine N atom., The title compound, C15H24N2O2S, was synthesized via a substitution reaction between the enanti­opure (1S,2S)-(+)-1,2-di­amino­cyclo­hexane and 2,4,6-tri­methyl­benzene-1-sulfonyl chloride. The title compound, C13H10N2O7S, was solved in the ortho­rhom­bic space group Pna21. The aromatic substituents on the sulfonate group are oriented gauche to one another with a C—O—S—C torsion angle of −62.0 (3)°. The title aryl­sulfonyl glycinyl hydrazone Schiff base compound crystallizes as a monohydrate. In the crystal, a series of O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds leads to the formation of corrugated sheets lying parallel to (100)., The mol­ecule of the title compound, C16H16ClN3O3S·H2O, is L-shaped being bent at the S atom; the S—N—C—C torsion angle is 132.0 (3)°. The central part of the mol­ecule, C—C—N—N=C, is almost linear, with the C—C—N—N and C—N—N=C torsion angles being −174.1 (2) and 176.0 (2)°, respectively. The dihedral angle between the p-toluene­sulfonyl ring and the S—N—C—C(=O) segment is 67.5 (4)°, while that between the two aromatic rings is 52.17 (11)°. In the crystal, the water H atom is involved in O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds with a sulfonamide O atom and the carbonyl O atom. The water O atom is itself hydrogen bonded to both NH hydrogen atoms. These four hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of corrugated sheets lying parallel to (100). There are also weak C—H⋯O contacts present within the sheets.

Molecules of the title compound, C15H10F6O3S, are composed of 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl substituted with a toluene-4-sulfonate group. The dihedral angle between two aromatic moieties is 45.10 (5)°. In the crystal, molecules are connected by weak C—H...O and C—H...F contacts. One of the trifluoromethyl groups is disordered.

The asymmetric unit of the title salt, C5H10NO4+·C7H7O3S−, contains two glutaminium cations and two 4-methylbenzenesulfonate anions. The crystal packing features weak intermolecular C—H...O, O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds.

Two new cobalt(II) coordination polymers, {[Co(OBA)(1,3-bib)]2}n·H2O (1) and [Co(OBA)(1,2-bib)]n·H2O (2), (H2OBA = 4,4′-oxydibenzoic acid; 1, 3-bib = 1,3-bis(imidazol-l-yl-methyl)benzene; 1, 2-bib = 1,2-bis(imidazol-l-yl-methyl)benzene), have been obtained by the hydrothermal reactions. Compound 1 displays a two-dimensional grid net. Compound 2 exhibits a three-dimensional porous network with 12.5% porosity. Their third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties were determined by Z-scan technique in DMSO solution. Two compounds show strong third-order nonlinear optical absorption and self-focusing effects with absorptive coefficients β(MKS) 8.29 × 10− 11 m·W− 1 for 1 and 6.89 × 10− 11 m·W− 1 for 2, and the refractive indexes γ(MKS) 4.37 × 10− 18 m2·W− 1 for 1 and 5.22 × 10− 18 m2·W− 1 for 2. The third-order NLO susceptibility χ(3) are calculated to be 1.86 × 10− 11 for 1, 1.58 × 10− 11 esu for 2. These values are larger than those of C60, phthalocyanine derivatives and semiconductor materials.

Densities, ρ123, and speeds of sound, u123, of 1-methyl pyrrolidin-2-one (1) + benzene or methyl benzene or cyclohexane (2) + propan-2-ol (3) ternary mixtures have been measured over the entire composition range at 308.15 K and atmospheric pressure. The resulting ρ123 and \(V_{123}^{\mathrm{E}}\) data were utilized to predict excess isentropic compressibilities, \((\kappa_{S}^{\mathrm{E}})_{123}\), of the studied (1+2+3) mixtures. The observed \(V_{123}^{\mathrm{E}}\) and \((\kappa_{S}^{\mathrm{E}})_{123}\) data have been analyzed in terms of Graph theory (which involved the topology of a molecule). It has been observed that \(V_{123}^{\mathrm{E}}\) and \((\kappa_{S}^{\mathrm{E}})_{123}\) values determined by Graph theory compare well with their corresponding experimental values.

Excess molar volumes, \({V^{\rm E}_{ijk}}\), and speeds of sound, uijk, of pyrrolidin-2-one (2-Py) (i)+benzene or methyl benzene (j)+propan-1-ol (k) ternary mixtures and speeds of sound, uij, of benzene or methyl benzene (i)+propan-1-ol (j) binary mixtures have been measured dilatometrically and interferrometrically over the complete mole fraction range at 308.15 K. Speed-of-sound data have been utilized to evaluate excess isentropic compressibilities for binary and ternary mixtures. \({V^{\rm E}_{ijk}}\) and \({\left({\kappa_S^{\rm E}}\right)_{ijk}}\) values have been fitted to a Redlich–Kister equation to predict ternary adjustable parameters and standard deviations. Topological investigations employed for predicting excess molar volumes and excess isentropic compressibilities, \({\left({\kappa _S^{\rm E}} \right)_{ij}}\), of 2-Py + benzene or methyl benzene or propan-1-ol binary mixtures have been extended to ternary mixtures (by employing the concept of a connectivity parameter of third degree, 3ξ, of a molecule) to obtain an expression that describes well the measured \({V^{\rm E}_{ijk}}\) and \({\left({\kappa_S^{\rm E}}\right)_{ijk}}\) values.

The association constants for a series of methylbenzene-fluoranil electron donor-acceptor complexes have been determined from NMR chemical shift measurements using 1: 1 stoicheiometric ratios of electron donor-electron acceptor. The resulting values differ from those obtained when large excess concentrations of donor are used. It is suggested that the differences may be the result of the presence of significant concentrations of termolecular complexes in the latter solutions.

One of the main challenges that virgin olive oil producers face today is an accurate prediction of the sensory quality of the final product prior to the milling of the olives. The possibility that olive paste aroma can be used as a predictive measurement of virgin olive oil quality is studied in this paper. The study was centered on distinguishing the aroma of olive pastes that produced virgin olive oils without sensory defects from the aroma of olive pastes the virgin olive oils of which showed sensory defects. Olive pastes were analyzed by solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography and a sensor system based on metal oxide sensors. Forty-four volatile compounds were identified in olive pastes, all of them being also present in virgin olive oil. Six volatile compounds - acetic acid, octane, methyl benzene, (E)-2-hexenal, hexyl acetate and 3-methyl-1-butanol - distinguished both kinds of pastes with only five misclassified samples. Five metal oxide sensors were able to classify the olive pastes with only two erroneous classifications.

The title compound, C9H11BrO2S, is an important intermediate in the synthesis of the herbicide Topramezone. In the crystal, there are weak intermolecular Br...O interactions of 3.286 (4) Å. The dihedral angle between the plane of the benzene ring and that defined by the O—S—O atoms of the methanesulfonyl group is 49.06 (3)°.

In the title compound, C14H12F2N2O2S, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 70.23 (8)° and the S—N—N=C torsion angle is 172.11 (11)°. In the crystal, N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into [100]C(4) chains, with adjacent molecules in the chain related by translational symmetry.
