Heart disease is the leading cause of death in many countries around the world and is linked to numerous complications. In addition to conventional pharmacological treatments, complementary and alternative medicines like massage and dry cupping are employed to help manage the disease and its symptoms. This study aimed to compare the effects of massage and dry cupping on dysrhythmia in patients with heart diseases. This randomized parallel controlled clinical trial study was conducted in two critical care units of Shafa hospital in Kerman, southeastern Iran, in 2019–2020. A total of 90 eligible patients were allocated into three groups: massage (n = 30), dry cupping (n = 30), and control (n = 30) using a stratified block randomization method. In the massage group, the head and face were massaged for three consecutive nights, while the dry cupping group received dry cupping between the fifth cervical vertebra and the second thoracic vertebra for the same duration. Each intervention session lasted 15 min. Data collection tools included a socio-demographic and clinical characteristics questionnaire, a form for hemodynamic parameters (systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and peripheral oxygen saturation), and a form for assessing dysrhythmia using electrocardiogram readings. Dysrhythmia in the participants was evaluated after each session. The results within each group indicated a statistically significant difference in the prevalence of dysrhythmia in the dry cupping group after the intervention (P < 0.05), but this difference was not statistically significant in the massage and control groups. However, when comparing between the groups, no significant difference was found among the three groups. Additionally, there was no significant difference in the type of dysrhythmia between the groups (P > 0.05). While there was no difference in the type of dysrhythmia between the three groups, the additional reduction of dysrhythmia in the dry cupping group could hold clinical significance. Since preterm infants frequently undergo painful diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, pain management, especially through non-pharmacological methods, will be extremely beneficial. Accordingly, the present study aimed to compare the effects of aromatherapy with breast milk, Lavandula stoechas, and Rosa damascena on venipuncture pain in preterm infants. In this interventional study, preterm infants were randomly divided into four groups of aromatherapy with breast milk (25 infants), Lavandula stoechas (25 infants), Rosa damascena (25 infants), and sham (25 infants). One minute before, during, and two minutes after venipuncture, the Neonatal Infant Pain Scale (NIPS) as well as heart rate and SPO2 were measured. The results indicated that pain intensity was significantly lower during and after venipuncture in all the aromatherapy methods compared with the sham group (P < 0.001). Breast milk odor decreased the pain more than the other two odors during and after venipuncture (P < 0.001); however, there was no significant difference between Lavandula stoechas and Rosa damascena (P = 0.94). SPO2 was significantly higher in infants in the Lavandula stoechas (P < 0.001) and Rosa damascena (P = 0.03) groups compared with the sham infants. All three aromatherapy methods were effective in decreasing preterm infants' venipuncture pain. Since no study on the effect of aromatherapy with Rosa damascena was found in this regard, the effectiveness of aromatherapy with Rosa damascena is of great importance, and future studies are recommended to analyze this topic in greater depth. Breast cancer is the most common cause of premature mortality among women, and screening is one of the most important means of early diagnosis of breast cancer. This qualitative study was conducted to explore strategies for promoting breast cancer screening behaviors from the perspective of health volunteers in south-east Iran. Data collection was performed through focus groups. Using the purposive sampling method, 35 participants were selected and data were analyzed using a specific qualitative content analysis framework. By analyzing the data to provide strategies for promoting breast cancer screening behaviors, the main theme of "organizational transformation" with five subthemes including the promotion of health-centered beliefs in society, the development of culture-based training, the media revolution, financial support, and the provision of efficient health-care providers were extracted. According to the results of the study, the development of organizational transformation plays an important role in planning for the promotion of breast cancer screening. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Hypertension has been identified as the most important risk factor for disability and premature death worldwide. This study aimed to explain the factors that facilitate medication adherence from the perspective of patients with hypertension in southeastern Iran. This qualitative study used conventional content analysis and purposive sampling methods to achieve data saturation, involving 25 participants. Facilitating factors were categorized into two main categories: individual and family factors and organizational support. Individual factors included motivational fears, disease acceptance, healthy lifestyle, disease monitoring, and follow-up. Family factors included family support, while organizational support included governmental support to provide inexpensive medicines, comprehensive healthcare team support, health insurance access, and media training. These factors were identified as essential facilitators that significantly influence appropriate adherence to hypertensive drugs. This study revealed that various factors affected medication adherence in these patients, and efforts should be made to improve hypertension treatment and increase medication adherence. Measures taken to control hypertension are cost-effective to reduce the burden associated with this disease. Purpose: Cancer patients often experience pain, which can greatly reduce their quality of life. It affects their emotions, cognitive function, and daily interactions. Healthcare providers need to understand the obstacles to pain management to create helpful programs for patients and families. This study focuses on Iranian nurses' views on pain management barriers in cancer patients., Methods: The study utilized a qualitative content analysis method with a purposive sampling approach, involving 27 nurses. Participants were selected to ensure a wide range of perspectives and experiences by considering factors such as gender, age, work experience, education levels, and positions until data saturation was achieved. Inclusion criteria specified a minimum of six months of oncology ward experience and a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing. Nurses with less than six months of oncology experience or lacking a nursing degree were excluded. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Lundman and Granheim's qualitative content analysis method., Results: One main theme, four main categories, and nine subcategories in the study reflected the nurses' experiences and viewpoints about barriers to pain management. These categories included the marginalization of complementary medicine, medical malpractice, inadequate organizational infrastructure, and personal barriers., Conclusion: The study demonstrated that the barriers to pain management in cancer patients were complex. To improve patients' comfort and quality of life, it is important to identify and address issues from different angles. Patients living with a permanent ostomy encounter many physical, psychological, and social challenges due to the loss of function of a part of their body. Today, as the use of alternative therapies increases, some of these patients are seeking complementary medicine to relieve the symptoms and complications of their disease. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the use of, reasons for, and satisfaction with the complementary medicine among patients living with a permanent ostomy. This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 100 patients living with a permanent ostomy who were referred to ostomy clinics in southeastern Iran. The census method was used for sampling. The research tool included a complementary medicine questionnaire. SPSS-25 was used for data analysis. The results showed that in physical methods, most of the participants used herbal medicines (83%), aromatherapy (79%), vitamin supplements (76%), and diet (66%). In mental methods, most of the participants used prayer/recourse/vow (91%) and music therapy (75%) (every day to several times a year). People with university education ( p < 0.001), higher incomes ( p = 0.002), and history of addiction ( p = 0.048) used more methods of complementary medicine. Fifty-three point four of the participants used herbal medicines to reduce physical complications, 46.6% used them to improve anxiety and stress induced by ostomy, and between 66 and 80% was completely satisfied with the use of various types of complementary medicine. The study results showed that the frequency of complementary medicine use among patients living with a permanent ostomy varied from a few days to several years. Background: Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are among the most critical challenges for patients and healthcare providers. To achieve the goals of the surveillance system, it is necessary to identify its barriers and problems. This study aimed to identify the barriers and problems of the surveillance system for HAIs., Methods: This qualitative study was conducted using the content analysis method to investigate the challenges of this surveillance system from the perspective of 18 infection control nurses from hospitals in different cities of Iran with work experience of 1 to 15 years. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the Lundman and Graneheim qualitative content analysis method., Results: In this study, we found 2 categories and 7 subcategories. Two categories were barriers related to human resources and organizational barriers to infection control. The 7 subcategories included weakness of medical staff in adherence to health principles, obstacles related to patients, high workload and insufficient motivation, lack of staff knowledge, lack of human resources, functional and logistical weaknesses, and weaknesses in the surveillance system., Conclusion: To reduce problems and improve HAIs reporting, the HAIs surveillance system needs the support of health system officials and managers. This administrative and support focus can establish the framework for removing and lowering other barriers, such as the number of reported cases, physician and staff noncooperation, and the prevalence of HAIs. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on perceived stress of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)., Design and Methods: This was a randomized clinical trial in which the patients under coronary intervention were allocated to two groups, intervention and control by using block randomization. The experiment group received eight sessions of cognitive-behavioral therapy. The patients' perceived stress was measured before, immediately, and 1-month post ntervention., Findings: The results showed the perceived stress scores changed significantly in the intervention group compared with the control group immediately and 1 month after the intervention. Background: Sexual harassment in the workplace is continuing. However, the rate of sexual harassment disclosure is low, which causes many problems. Non-disclosure of sexual harassment can cause nurses' psychological distress and physical harm, and affect their productivity and quality of care. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the reasons why Iranian nurses stayed silent and did not disclose sexual harassment in their workplace., Method: This qualitative descriptive-explorative study was conducted to investigate the reasons why Iranian nurses ( n = 18) stayed silent on sexual harassment. Conventional content analysis and purposeful sampling method were used in this study. Data was collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews. Maximum variance in terms of age, sex, work experience, education level, marital status, and type of hospital and ward was considered in order to obtain rich information. Guba and Lincoln criteria were used to increase the study's trustworthiness, while the Graneheim and Lundman approach was used to analyze the content., Results: The research data indicated 112 codes, a major category, 4 subcategories, and 9 primary categories. The major category, "The missing link is bitter silence; sexual harassment is still going on," includes four subcategories: fear of social stigmas, organizational and legal barriers, family barriers, and personal barriers., Conclusions: Nurses cannot break their silence on sexual harassment because they are afraid that disclosure of sexual harassment has negative consequences for their personal and professional lives. Policies and strategies should be developed to encourage nurses to disclose sexual harassment. Background: Sexual harassment in the workplace has many negative consequences for nurses and the delivery of patient care. Appropriate policies and strategies can help to create a safe work environment for nurses. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate Iranian nurses' strategies for preventing sexual harassment in the workplace., Materials and Methods: This qualitative descriptive-explorative study used conventional content analysis to investigate how Iranian nurses cope with sexual harassment ( n = 22). Participants were selected using a purposeful sampling method. Data was collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews from September 2020 to April 2021. In order to obtain rich information, maximum variation was considered (age, sex, work experience, level of education, marital status, and type of hospital and ward). The Guba and Lincoln criteria were used to increase the study's trustworthiness, while the Graneheim and Lundman approach was used to analyze the content., Results: One hundred and twelve codes, one main category, four categories, and 12 subcategories were extracted. The main category, strategies to prevent sexual harassment among nurses in the workplace, includes four categories: behavioral response, working conditions adjustment, informing, and performance of hospital security guards. The most common strategy used by nurses was behavioral response., Conclusion: Basic measures are required to prevent sexual misconduct against nurses, which is an obvious part of the professional organizational culture. Managers and policymakers should develop workplace ethics, legal accountability, and safety. They should also develop training programs and prevention strategies to help nurses improve their coping skills. Background: The practice of hand washing is an effective way to prevent contamination and disease transmission. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, hand washing has become increasingly important. Therefore, this qualitative study aimed to understand barriers to hand hygiene compliance among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic., Materials and Methods: Twenty-five healthcare workers from intensive care units were sampled using purposive sampling in a qualitative content analysis study. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview and field notes. Based on the Lundman and Graneheim approach, the data were analyzed. COREQ checklist was used to report the research., Results: According to the findings, there are three main categories of barriers to hand hygiene practice: barriers related to individuals (including two subcategories of lack of knowledge of healthcare workers and healthcare workers' improper attitude), barriers related to management (including two subcategories of wrong behavioral patterns and unsuitable training and planning), and barriers related to organizations (including four subcategories of heavy workloads, improperly designed wards, a lack of equipment, and lack of quality equipment)., Conclusions: This research indicates that hand washing practice increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, some barriers persist, resulting in a decline in hand washing compliance among health care workers. Introduction: Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) is a new viral disease that has spread rapidly worldwide since December 2019 and there is no effective treatment for it. The current study aimed to investigate the psychological consequences and related factors among COVID-19 survivors., Methods: This descriptive analytical study was conducted on 152 patients with COVID-19 referred to referral hospitals in southeastern Iran in 2020. Data collection tools were three questionnaires of demographic and background information, Depression Anxiety stress Scale (DASS-21) and Impact of Events Scale-Revised (IESR). Descriptive and inferential statistics and SPSS25 were used to analyze the data., Results: The mean age of patients was 39.52 ± 13.16 years. The patients were mostly female (63.8%). Seventy-three percent of the patients had severe posttraumatic stress disorder, 26.3% had moderate depression and 26.3% had severe anxiety. The mean scores of posttraumatic stress, depression, and anxiety among patients with COVID-19 were 41.59 ± 17.28, 12.13 ± 9.16, and 12.45 ± 10.71, respectively. Intensive care unit (ICU) admission, divorce, illiteracy, and retirement were all associated with higher psychological load among patients., Discussion and Conclusion: The results showed that patients with COVID-19 had different levels of anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress. Objective: To investigate the incidence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, hospitalizations and deaths in Iranians vaccinated with either AZD1222 Vaxzevria, CovIran® vaccine, SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), Inactivated (lnCoV) or Sputnik V., Methods: We enrolled individuals 18 years or older receiving their first COVID-19 vaccine dose between April 2021 and January 2022 in seven Iranian cities. Participants completed weekly follow-up surveys for 17 weeks (25 weeks for AZD1222) to report their COVID-19 status and hospitalization. We used Cox regression models to assess risk factors for contracting COVID-19, hospitalization and death., Findings: Of 89 783 participants enrolled, incidence rates per 1 000 000 person-days were: 528.2 (95% confidence interval, CI: 514.0-542.7) for contracting COVID-19; 55.8 (95% CI: 51.4-60.5) for hospitalization; and 4.1 (95% CI: 3.0-5.5) for death. Compared with SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), hazard ratios (HR) for contracting COVID-19 were: 0.70 (95% CI: 0.61-0.80) with AZD1222; 0.73 (95% CI: 0.62-0.86) with Sputnik V; and 0.73 (95% CI: 0.63-0.86) with CovIran®. For hospitalization and death, all vaccines provided similar protection 14 days after the second dose. History of COVID-19 protected against contracting COVID-19 again (HR: 0.76; 95% CI: 0.69-0.84). Diabetes and respiratory, cardiac and renal disease were associated with higher risks of contracting COVID-19 after vaccination., Conclusion: The rates of contracting COVID-19 after vaccination were relatively high. SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell) provided lower protection against COVID-19 than other vaccines. Background: The stress and mental pressure resulting from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis exacerbated occupational stressors such as workplace violence against nurses even though nurses were endangering their lives to provide high-quality care and reduce patients' suffering. Therefore, the present study aimed to explain Iranian nurses' experiences of workplace violence during the COVID-19 crisis., Materials and Methods: This study was conducted using a qualitative approach. Twenty-five semi-structured interviews were conducted with nurses who had experienced workplace violence at COVID-19 referral centers in Kerman during the COVID-19 crisis. Conventional content analysis was used to analyze the data, and the research was reported via the COREQ checklist., Results: Analysis of the findings led to one main category, "nurses' self-sacrifice in a distressful and threatening environment," and four subcategories, which included "omitting entertainment and fun activities," "having challenging duties in unsafe conditions," "receiving insufficient support," and "nurses' toleration of disrespect.", Conclusion: Crises can exacerbate workplace violence toward nurses. Thus, it is necessary to design educational programs and prevention strategies to manage the destructive psychological and occupational impact of the crises on nurses. Nurses should receive training in crisis management to cope with the intensified aggressive behavior of managers, colleagues, patients, and patient companions during the crisis. Background: Around the world, people are using social media (SM) for different purposes following a wide range of patterns. There is a paucity of studies addressing the issue in the Eastern Mediterranean region. In this population-based study, the frequency and patterns of SM use in Iran were investigated., Materials and Methods: To explore the prevalence and motives of SM use, a sample of 1800 Iranian people aged 10-65 years old (53.5% female) were surveyed. Social media addiction (SMA) was assessed using the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale., Results: The results revealed that 88.5% ( n  = 1593) of the participants were SM users, and the average time spent by them in SM was 4.0 ± 3.9 hours. The most common motivations for SM use were communication with others (48.9%), receiving news (40.7%), and surfing the net (40.6%). Besides, burning eyes (31.0%), headache (26.8%), and sleep disturbance (25.1%) were the most common health problems experienced by SM users. The SMA prevalence was 23.1% (95% CI: 21.2, 25.1) (males: 23.8%; females: 22.5%), with a higher rate (26.0%) among adolescents and young people., Conclusion: SM use and SMA appear to be real health challenges in Iran, particularly among youth. To investigate the effect of passive pedaling with mini bike on sexual function in patients under hemodialysis. This study was a randomized clinical trial. Thirty-seven patients undergoing hemodialysis were assigned to the intervention (n = 20) and control (n = 17) groups by the stratified block randomization method. The intervention group exercised with a mini bike that was automatic and tuned for patients during the first 2 h of dialysis, twice a week for 20 min each time, for 3 months. The International Index of Erectile Function and Female Sexual Function Index were used to assess the sexual function in the first, second, and third months during the intervention and one month after the intervention. A higher score indicates a better sexual function. Repeated measure ANOVA, Chi-square and Fisher exact tests, independent t, and Mann-Whitney U tests were used for data analysis. The SPSS software version 22 was used for data analysis. Sexual function scores of the intervention group were 35.9 at the beginning of the study, 34.1 in the first month, 37.4 in the second month, 34.8 in the third month, and 31.7 one month after the study. There was no significant difference in the scores of sexual function in the intervention group during the study. The mean scores of sexual function in the control group were 34.5, 34.4, 34.9, 33.8, and 33.9 at the beginning of the study, in the first month, in the second month, in the third month, and one month after the study, respectively (p > 0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of sexual function scores during and after the intervention (p > 0.05). Children are one of the most vulnerable groups in crises. The psychological consequences of COVID-19 in children must be considered. This study aimed to assess the fear and anxiety of COVID-19 in primary school girls. It is a descriptive correlational study to investigate schoolgirls' fear and anxiety of covid-19 in southeastern Iran. Data were collected using the fear of coronavirus questionnaire and the Corona Disease Anxiety Scale. The mean score of fear and anxiety of corona disease was 11.49 ± 6.59 and 17.67 ± 10.87, respectively. The bivariate analysis showed a significant association between fear and anxiety of corona disease, a single child ( p  = .025 and p  = .006), and a mother's level of education ( p  = .01). In other words, girls who were single child had a significantly higher level of fear and anxiety than other girls and the girls whose mothers had diploma had a higher level of fear and anxiety than girls whose mothers had Ph.D. Since fear and anxiety can be affected by factors such as culture, education level, and birth rate, it is recommended that this study be performed in other communities as well.

Children, especially girls, are more vulnerable during crises, who need to acquire skills such as social self-efficacy to meet the challenges of the environment. Given that, much progress has been made in e-learning; its capabilities can be used to promote children's health. This study aimed to determine the effect of virtual resilience training on the social self-efficacy of elementary school girls. This experimental study was performed on primary school girls aged 9-10 years in southeastern Iran. Students were selected by convenience sampling and divided into intervention ( n = 40) and control ( n = 37) groups by using randomized allocation. The Children's Social Self-Efficacy in Peer Interaction Scale was used for data collection before, immediately, and one month after the intervention. No significant difference was found between the two groups of intervention and control in the score of social self-efficacy before the intervention. However, the score of students in the intervention group improved immediately and one month after the intervention, and a significant difference was observed between the two groups ( p = .0001). Virtual resilience training has improved the social self-efficacy of elementary school girls and facing challenges is inevitable in today's world, so resilience training seems necessary to prevent social and psychological harm in such children.

It is important to facilitate death at a place that is in accord with dying patients' preferences. To see if nurses and family members agreed with patients themselves, we asked about attitudes toward death at home of 96 nurses working in oncology departments, 274 cancer patients, and 278 family caregivers in southeastern Iran. Most of the participants saw death at home as a good way of dying and preferred patients to spend their end-of-life days at home. This study supports the argument that providing hospice home care services for terminally ill patients with cancer may facilitate a preference of home death.

Facing the truth of death in silence instead of fearing and denying it enables people to regain their freedom. This qualitative case study aimed to illuminate the meaning of a single person's experience of confronting death and living with cancer. The transcripts of unstructured interviews were analyzed using the hermeneutic phenomenological method. Data analysis led to extraction of four themes including "Confronting death, meeting nonbeing and longing for being", "Embracing existential loneliness, responsibility and freedom", "Taking over the mind, living mindfully, a meaningful life", and "Flourishing authentic self-love, moving in the path of caring and healing the self".

Background: Sexual harassment in the workplace is a common event with negative consequences for victims. Working conditions become unstable because of sexual harassment, and workplace insecurity causes psychological distress and physical problems, as well as a reduction in the quality of care. Therefore, the current study sought to investigate the effects of sexual harassment in the workplace on Iranian nurses. Materials and Methods: This qualitative study used conventional content analysis with a descriptive-explorative approach to investigate the consequences of sexual harassment in Iranian nurses ( n = 22). The purposeful sampling method was used. Semi-structured and in-depth interviews were used to collect data. Maximum diversity in terms of age, sex, work experience, level of education, marital status, and type of hospital and ward was observed in order to obtain rich information. The Guba and Lincoln criteria were used to improve the study's trustworthiness and rigor, and the Graneheim and Lundman method was used to analyze the content. Results: Two hundred and twenty-seventh number codes, one main category, four subcategories, and eighteen primary categories were extracted from the data in this study. The main category of "loss of individual and social identity: the consequences of sexual harassment in nurses" is divided into four subcategories: "psychological trauma," "detrimental effects of work," "physical problems," and "disintegration of warm family relationships." Sexual harassment had a greater psychological impact on victims. Conclusion: Sexual harassment has a number of negative consequences for nurses' personal and professional lives and can impose a significant burden on the healthcare system due to decreased productivity and loss of active labor. Introduction: Hemodialysis patients experience sexual dysfunction due to the nature of their disease and its complications. Dialysis patients have reported sexual dysfunction as one of the most important stressors, which leads to many psychological and physiological problems. Sexual function in hemodialysis patients has been improved with pharmaceutical and nonpharmacological therapies. Foot reflexology is a complementary and alternative treatment that can be used in conjunction with contemporary care. By activating the chemical nerve system, reflexology may balance enzymes and regulate endocrine function., Objectives: To determine the effect of foot reflexology on the sexual function of hemodialysis patients., Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted on 47 patients on chronic hemodialysis referred to Imam Reza Hospital in Sirjan, Iran, who were divided into two groups of reflexology ( n  = 24; male = 19 and female = 5) and sham ( n  = 23; male = 18, and female = 5). The intervention group received foot reflexology during dialysis for four weeks, three times a week, 30 minutes each time (15 minutes per foot). The sham group received nonspecific foot massage without applying pressure on standard reflex points with the same condition and duration as the intervention group. The international index of erectile function and female sexual function index was assessed before, immediately, and one month after the intervention., Results: The results showed that immediately after the intervention, male orgasm function, sexual desire, and intercourse satisfaction in the reflexology group was significantly higher than those of the sham group. There was no significant difference between the two groups regarding erectile function and overall satisfaction. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of abdominal massage with and without Salvia officinalis on nausea and vomiting in patients with cancer undergoing chemotherapy., Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, 60 patients undergoing chemotherapy were placed in one of two intervention groups or in a control group. Abdominal massage with and without Salvia officinalis was performed for 15 minutes twice a day for 3 consecutive days by the patient's companion. The rate of nausea and vomiting was measured with a Visual Analog Scale., Results: Findings showed that immediately after the intervention, the mean score of nausea in abdominal massage with Salvia officinalis group was lower than that of the control group. The mean score of nausea was not different between abdominal massage and control groups. One week after the intervention, the mean score of nausea was not different among the three groups. In addition, the frequency of vomiting was not different among the three groups., Conclusion: Abdominal massage with/without Salvia officinalis as a complementary medicine has not considerable effect on reducing nausea and vomiting in patient with cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Background: Early diagnosis of breast cancer increases the chance of recovery and life expectancy. Screening is the primary tool for early diagnosis and timely treatment of breast cancer in early stages. This qualitative study aimed to explain the motivational factors for breast cancer screening in Iranian women., Methods: This qualitative study was conducted using content analysis. The 45 women were selected through purposive sampling. Focus group were used for data collection and the data were analyzed using the Lundman and Graneheim thematic content analysis approach., Results: Data analysis identified 9 themes: knowledge acquisition, presence of happy-hopeful spirit, positive attitude and self-worth, maternal role, intellectual and financial independence, religious beliefs, motivational fears, and supportive family., Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it seems that health systems need to change the attitudes and beliefs of people to enhance health culture by identifying women's motivations for breast cancer screening in different groups and increase social knowledge about screening methods by supporting and training., .
