The aim of this research is to determine the role and effectiveness of legal regulations used by countries to ensure the legal regulation of territorial defense resources. The models for analysis were based on the historical and legal experiences of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, and Ukraine in the field of legal regulation of territorial defense. The research utilised comparative legal analysis and modeling. The results indicate that the presence of effective legal regulation is critically important for ensuring national security and stability in the face of growing threats from domestic and international crime. The academic novelty lies in the analysis of the structure, mechanisms, advantages, and disadvantages of territorial defense resources using specific countries as examples, considering recent challenges in international and domestic crime. Further research prospects include the development of recommendations and practical measures to improve legislation and the practice of managing territorial defense resources to ensure national security and international stability. Urban green areas have multifunctional benefits that may mitigate unfavorable health and ecological effects. Green areas represent important biodiversity hideouts in anthropogenic regions. Lawns are the most common elements of urban greenery, covering a considerable number of green areas in cities. The aim of this analysis was to gain knowledge on urban greenery and elaborate recommendations related to management that favors grass lawn biodiversity. The established working hypothesis is that the limited intensity of management in urban grass areas is reflected in the modification of their species composition, as well as their potential ecological functions. An experiment on the management of city lawns was conducted in 2010 (still ongoing). There are three lawn variants under different management methods: ornamental, city, and permaculture lawns. Vegetation was assessed using the method of phytocoenological relevés. The coverage values of the individual plant species were processed using multidimensional analysis of ecological data. The results showed that human decisions and activities affected the species composition of these grassy areas. There were 46 plant taxa found during the monitoring: 12 in ornamental lawn variants, 24 in city lawn variants, and 31 in permaculture lawn variants. Permaculture lawns with extensive management represent the most environmentally friendly variant with respect to biodiversity and soil moisture content. However, changes in species composition have raised questions regarding the extent to which they may perform other ecosystem functions. Increasing the intensity of lawn management has resulted in lower plant diversity. Objectives The aim of the article is to present the results of research on the place and role of management goals used since 2016 in the management processes of municipal companies in Poland. The authors devoted significant attention to economic and social goals, in particular to the analysis of the importance of these goals in companies. Material and methods The basic research method was the analysis of documents - the content of resolutions of entities authorized to exercise shareholding rights. In total, the content of resolutions adopted each year in 124 companies in 2017-2023 was examined. Results The results indicate the dominance of economic goals and the decreasing share of social goals among management goals. Conclusions The conclusions are not positive, considering that these companies operate in the public utility sector. The reasons for this phenomenon are partly due to the unfortunate provisions of the act and long-standing habits; in fact, they are more complex and multi-faceted. What is particularly disturbing is that profit, previously used mainly as an economic measure, has become, in the light of legal regulations and economic practice, the purpose of business, which may translate directly into the prices of municipal companies' services for residents and local entrepreneurs. In turn, the decreasing share of social goals may include, among others: reduce employee involvement and their efficient and effective cooperation based on trust.

In recent years, there has been a growing trend in educational institutions to adopt new methods of management and leadership of teacher's teams. The traditional approach of top-down leadership and strict hierarchies is being replaced by a more collaborative and inclusive approach. This has been spurred on by several factors, including a greater focus on student-cantered learning and the need to retain highly qualified teachers in an increasingly competitive environment. In this article, we will explore some of the new methods of management and leadership in educational institutions and how they are being implemented in managing teachers' teams. Teachers have valuable insights and expertise that can be leveraged to improve teaching and learning outcomes. There is a need to give teachers a greater say in decision-making and encouraging them to take on leadership roles in areas such as curriculum development, assessment design, and professional development. This approach fosters a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility, which in turn leads to greater job satisfaction and teacher retention. Thus, new methods of management in educational institutions are critical for ensuring the success of educational institutions. Leadership in managing teacher teams is especially crucial, as teachers are at the heart of the educational system. Innovative management methods can create a culture of collaboration, encourage open communication, and promote innovation. Additionally, the provision of professional development opportunities and support for teacher well-being is essential for fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the success of educational institutions. There is a demand for flood control in densely populated river network areas. Therefore, small floodgates are used for long-term and rapid water flow regulation in such contexts. However, people often disregard these floodgates' potential interference with the natural water environment. This study focused on an urban floodgate-controlled reach and monitored the monthly data of four main pollutant indicators (TN, TP, CODMn, and NH3-N) from 2016 to 2018 at six fixed sampling points (S1–S6). The difference analysis and cluster analysis results indicated that floodgate adjustments were the dominant driving factor of water quality changes in the reach, with pollutant concentration differences observed between the floodgate opening and closing periods. The results of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment Water Quality Index evaluation showed that the water quality of the floodgate-controlled reach was categorized as "marginal" or "poor". It is particularly important to note that the concentration of nitrogen compounds exceeded the allowable limits. The results of the Mann–Kendall trend and time series analyses revealed an overall upward trend in NH3-N concentration and a localized upward trend in TP concentration and presented periodic concentration fluctuations of four pollutants (TN, TP, CODMn, and NH3-N). This study highlights that flood control management using small floodgates can pose a risk of deteriorating water quality. The relevance of the research topic lies in the fact that the functioning of law enforcement agencies during martial law was marked by the expansion of the functions of the patrol police, which requires increased attention to police training. In particular, there is a need to analyse the current practice of law enforcement training and to create scientifically based recommendations for its improvement. That is why the purpose of the article is to clarify the specifics of the work of the patrol police during martial law and the peculiarities of the methodological work of the management team related to the training and support of the activities of subordinate personnel. To achieve the aim of the study, a set of theoretical and empirical methods was used, including the following: analysis, generalization and interpretation, expert evaluation, survey and graphical methods, which made it possible to interpret the results obtained and develop recommendations. It is established that the heads of patrol police units in their work with personnel were guided by organizational, moral and psychological, legal, administrative and economical methods of management. Thanks to these methods, the personnel were constantly aware of the operational situation, were able to develop supplementary action plans, and use reserve forces and means. Guided by legal and economical methods, managers were able not only to apply sanctions, but also to protect the rights of their subordinates from illegal encroachments and to reward them with a decent salary. In addition, an analogy was drawn between the existing professional combat and psychological traits of managers and their ability to work in a team. The personal example, combat, physical, and legal training of managers made it possible to quickly solve urgent problems, conflicts, and perform official tasks among their subordinates. The practical significance of the study is that the findings will serve as a basis for scientific research to study the features and improve professional training, which would include aspects of fire, functional, general and psychological training tactics

Abstract Rugose spiraling whitefly (Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin) has become a major pest of coconut in Bangladesh. To assess farmers’ knowledge on host and management approaches of this pest, a survey of 240 farmers was conducted in eight districts of Bangladesh. Farmers noticed an expanding dispersion of this pest in Bangladesh since 2019. Among all the districts examined, Cox’s Bazar district was highly infested. Farmers mainly cultivated local coconut varieties in their homesteads. Forty percent (40%) of the farmers among all districts estimated that the pest reduced coconut yield to more than half. Only 1% of all farmers knew about all life stages of the pest. Consultation with extension officers significantly improved farmers’ knowledge of the pest. Summer was the peak season for the whitefly infestation. Farmers identified 22 hosts of the pest and almost four out of ten (40.4%) applied management methods against the pest. Among them, 22% used chemical methods, 42% used non-chemical methods, and 24% used both methods. Farmer’s types, purposes, and knowledge influenced their management approaches. The article is aimed at theoretical substantiation of features of formation and development of management of foreign economic activity of enterprise. With the help of research of scientific works of contemporary scientists, the causes and advantages of the development of foreign economic activity, the main rules and principles of its implementation at the enterprise generally accepted by the legislation of Ukraine and society, were systematized. Further, the most important methods and measures for the formation of sustainable and effective development are defined. Successful implementation of foreign economic activity involves research and passing through the stages presented in the article. Enterprises that are not familiar with the basic principles of management often face the problem of organizing the management of foreign economic activity, because the presence of a quality product does not guarantee success in the international market. Of great importance is management that uses modern technologies and provides the ability to adapt to any conditions in order to achieve the best result. It is noted that it is important to select a qualified and experienced manager who is capable of constant improvement and of using the latest methods and technologies for the successful activities. Prospects for further research in this direction are the search for new management methods that help to adapt the enterprise to modern changes in the international market and strengthen competitiveness. Further development of foreign economic activity management opens up many opportunities and prospects and is a factor in supporting the economy of Ukraine.

The relevance of the researched problem lies in the fact that today industrial injuries and accidents at workplace are a fairly common problem. Since lives and health of employees, as well as production process efficiency, depend on ensuring workplace safety, occupational safety management becomes an important and integral component of industrial health and safety. The management of enterprises should be guided by the principle of life and health of employees being the most important value. There are certain methods of occupational safety management, such as economic, organisational, administrative-legal and social-psychological, which enable to create safe conditions at workplace. With their help, safe working conditions can be significantly improved and therefore efficiency of production process can be increased. In this regard, this article is aimed at defining the concept of occupational safety as an essential element of industrial health and safety. It also taps into the main components that make up an integrated occupational safety system and methods of occupational safety management, which must be taken into account by the management of an enterprise, institution, organisation and the government, the latter also controlling implementation of legislative regulations at workplace, as the economic situation in the country depends to a large extent on the level of production processes functionality. In addition, analysis of existing international standards in the labour protection field has been carried out, their features and scope of application have been considered. On the basis of the revealed data, specific recommendations have been developed, namely, advancement of prosocial behavior, technical upgrade, conduct of briefings and trainings aimed at increasing occupational safety. The research was carried out on the basis of general scientific and special methods of cognition, such as analogy, factor analysis, comparison, structural analysis, expert assessments and opinions, analysis of the causes of industrial injuries and various industrial diseases. The authors investigated the evolution of management and administration in labor protection and industrial safety, their interconnection and interdependence. The result of this scientific work is an understanding of the importance of compliance with safety rules at workplaces, of negative consequences that may arise from non-compliance with legislative regulations and international standards developed by the international community regarding occupational safety. A variety of management methods that can be used during set up of production process, as well as development of recommendations that will help to improve the current situation in labour safety, ensuring protection of labour rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of employees, enacted in most countries by Constitution, have been discussed. Having analysed the fact that currently the state of guaranteeing safe working conditions for employees is in a critical situation, industrial injuries and accidents at enterprises have become widespread. We can come to a conclusion that it is necessary to legislate this situation, to strengthen the legal responsibility of management and employees for non-compliance with safety rules during production process

The task of increasing the competitiveness of the region falls directly on the heads of the public sector, who encourage employees, as well as representatives of the public and individual organizations to work together to achieve the result. The final result will depend on the means, tools and methods used in the management process. The purpose of this article is to conduct a study of existing modern methods of managing competitiveness in the region with the aim of analyzing the received information and determining the optimal approaches to improving the strategy of the region's competitiveness in modern conditions of development. The article proposes generalized and grouped approaches that can be applied to the public sector of Ukraine to increase the level of competitiveness of regional development strategies. The first block – approaches to cooperation with various subjects of regional development. The second block includes management approaches. The most effective direction in this regard is the transition to project management. The third chapter examines approaches to the use of technological innovations, namely the introduction of electronic management. The fourth block is represented by approaches to the application of innovative management tools, that is, the transition to the concept of marketing. The fifth block of approaches consists of methods aimed at using simplified administrative innovations. The sixth block is approaches to the use of socio-ethical innovations.

The object of research is the organizational and economic processes of competitiveness management of entrepreneurial structures of hotel and restaurant business. One of the biggest problems today is the need to deepen the theoretical and methodological foundations, develop models and management mechanisms to increase the competitiveness of the hotel and restaurant business in times of crisis and information transformation of society. In the course of the research a model of management the competitiveness of the hotel and restaurant business during the crisis and informatization of society was developed, the new elements of which are the areas of improving the theory and methodology of management processes. The prospects of applying an inclusive human-centric approach to the management of enterprise competitiveness, as well as a set of basic consumer properties of hotel and restaurant products are substantiated. Based on them, the characteristics of personnel, sets of basic competitive strategies and dissipative structures of management of production activities of enterprises are determined. It is established that the increase in demand and inclusive development of the hotel and restaurant business occurs if the main consumer property of its products («economy», «quality», «creative differentiation») coincides with the psychophysiological characteristics of workers («dynamic sensor», «static quality innovator», «intuitive creator») and the type of structure of management of production activities (economic-, quality-, differential-dissipative structure), which is enshrined in the standards. The joint action of the laws of supply and demand, increasing labor productivity, standardization and evolution of life can be traced. An indicator of competitiveness is proposed, the components of which allow assessing the satisfaction of interests in the development of business, society and the state both in the short term and in the long term. This provides an opportunity to quickly identify and correct inefficient management method («factor-minimum »), which makes it impossible for the hotel and restaurant business to compete in the market during the crisis and informatization of society. The authors propose a scientific method of proactive motivation of staff, first applied in a public institution through the introduction of turquoise technologies of work organization. The purpose of the study was to prove the effectiveness of "turquoise" offices within the civil service. As a result of the experiment, the increased return from each employee is clearly shown, as well as an increase in the quality of work due to the increased diligence and responsibility of motivated employees. The authors prove that modern ways of organizing work with the help of turquoise technologies can raise the prestige of public service.

The article forms and builds the architecture of a closed-chain mechanism for managing sustainable management, which is performed according to the methodology of design and structural logical organization of management methods and tools in the context of ensuring the stability of economic systems for two groups of system-forming (system-homeostatic) sub-mechanisms of system-organizational and system-functional (reparative-alarming, cyber-spatial) complexes. The structure, content and functions of the generalized closed-chain mechanism for managing sustainable management, which includes system-forming sub-mechanisms: adaptive-stabilizing, reparative-alarming, binary-prognostic, cyber-spatial, which provide synchronous run of parabolic actions with the intensification of processes of exchange-redistribution of resources, reserves and opportunities (homeostasis potential) in the internal environment of the management system, the implementation of which occurs by stabilizing (generating laminarity) flow of streams four, basic for sustainable development, processes (economic, productive, natural resources and societal nature), have been improved. A multilevel scheme of binary formation, reformatting and implementation of a closed-chain management mechanism for sustainable management, implementation of closed control cycles of management, which provides the construction of system-forming regulators in two parallel planes – structural-organizational and structural-functional complexes of homeostatic management sub-systems for sustainable management , and, later, with almost simultaneous, «start» of adaptive-stabilizing and binary-prognostic sub-mechanisms, followed by synchronous introduction of reparative-alarming and cybernetic-spatial sub-mechanisms. Along with the above, the researchers have improved the structure, content and functions of the generalized closed-chain management mechanism for sustainable management. It includes system-forming sub-mechanisms: adaptation-stabilizing, reparative-alarming, binary-prognostic, cyber-spatial, which ensure the synchronous run of parabolic events to intensify the processes of exchange-redistribution of resources, reserves and opportunities, environment (potential) of the system, the implementation of which occurs due to the stabilization (generation of laminarity) of the flow of four, basic for sustainable development, processes (economic, productive, natural resources and societal nature).

The paper deals with the intensification of theoretical and practical bases of formation of the efficient and effective system of methods for management of the industrial enterprises in Ukraine. The authors substantiate the need to improve the management system of enterprises in the formation of the knowledge economy. The paper proposes to determine the efficiency of the methods for the management of enterprises, based on the provisions of the quantitative and systemic approach to the modern management. In the paper the authors consider the enterprise as an open system, which became the basis for the presentation of its management structure as a system of management methods (administrative, economic and socio-psychological ones) with a list of indicators for assessing their effectiveness and efficiency. The purpose of the paper is to intensify the theoretical and methodological provisions for the development of a set of management methods in industrial enterprises to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of their management. The base of the study is formed according to the statistical data of the industry of Ukraine for 2010- 2020. Integrated indicator of the complex efficiency of the application of economic methods for management of industrial enterprises is calculated according to the method for integrated assessment of the potential of a multidimensional dynamic object. The results of the research are presented in the form of mathematical models of potential functions of efficiency and effectiveness of the system of economic methods for enterprise management and its components of subsystems to stimulate success and financial and economic management, as well as their integrated indicators. The results of the research show that the indicator of complex efficiency of socioeconomic management methods is determined by the methods of calculating the aggregate (integrated) indicators. The authors substantiate the feasibility of implementing management decisions in the system of economic methods of management of industrial enterprises, based on the shares of indicators in the target value of the potential function. The paper proves the need for the development of personnel management system and innovative activity of the enterprise in the conditions of formation of knowledge economy. The results of the research are of practical importance and can be used at the state level in the development of strategic plans for industrial development, as well as in the management system of industrial enterprises. Improvement, development and proper exploitation of current rangelands conditions and selecting a range management method (balanced, natural and, artificial) to be implemented in the form of a range management plan (RMP). Data was collected from the rangelands of Haraz River watershed. Information including the total percentage of vegetation and each of the increasing species, rangeland condition and production were studied in 2016. To determine the best range management method, the analysis of variance was used. To compare the quantitative characteristics measured before and after the implementation, a two-sample independent t-test was used. Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare qualitative characteristics. Results showed that the vegetation percentage of palatable species composition did not increase, the balanced and natural methods were the best methods in good and fair rangeland condition. The reason for the lack of increase in the number of palatable species was the unsuccessful implementation of planned programs in RMPs. The artificial method was performed in the RMPs with poor vegetation types, the implementation of these plans had no significant effect on the rangeland condition of the study rangelands due to the high livestock population. Rangeland plans will be more effective when there is a balance between grazing capacity and livestock population.

Management methods refer to the processes used by an organisation to achieve proposed objectives, they suggest the way forward to achieve results. The choice of a management method is based on its compatibility with the internal and external conditions of the organisation, as each method has a different potential to contribute to the sustainability of the business. The management method is the set of principles, procedures, rules and tools by which management functions are carried out in order to achieve the best possible results through the rational use of the resources available to the organisation. Performance management is the process of using management techniques and methods in an effective, efficient and sustainable manner to achieve organisational objectives and ensure long-term success through increased economic and management performance. Our research objectives were based on the following ideas: - Defining the concept of a water theme park; - Examination of theme parks in Mexico in relation to their development possibilities in the Romanian tourism industry; - Descriptive and financial analysis on this segment of the tourism industry. The success of this business model within the leisure industry is described by the customer-oriented management model. Tracking the behavior in time of constructions, which has a tradition of over 150 years, as an activity that ends the process of creating any structure, turned in the so-called 'structural monitoring' activity. This paper complements an earlier idea of our team, that of the structural monitoring manual, suggesting SHMH (Structural Health Monitoring Handbook). The digital economy has a growing role in the processes of socio-economic development. To support this trend and the growing contribution of the digital economy to the growth of private and public welfare, it is necessary to improve corporate governance methods and practices. Among modern business management methods, an important place belongs to value-based management. However, in the case of companies in the digital economy, the application of this management model is difficult. There are two types of digital business value-based management issues. They are due to the imperfection of the measurement methodology, as well as to the inaccessibility and incompatibility of information. The purpose of this paper is to formulate approaches to value-based management of digital economy companies. We analyze the key problems that arise in the process of managing a digital business, consider various methods for measuring the value of digital companies, and suggest ways to improve their value-based management. The scientific basis of our work is empirical and theoretical research methods. This paper uses the results of similar topics and the authors’ own developments. Analysis and generalization of this material made it possible to synthesize new approaches to solving the problem of digital business management. We conclude that value-based management changes significantly at the digitalization stage. The role of the determinants of value goes to factors that have an intangible form. Therefore, the key source of value creation, wealth growth is the ability of companies to use the capabilities of digital technology, while not forgetting the sustainability of the business. We think that the best solution to this problem is to create a management system that, on the one hand, covers the main operational, financial and social aspects of the company, and on the other, takes into account the features of digital business. A system that is designed to meet these requirements will provide managers with an effective tool for managing the company, which will ensure its sustainable development.

The paper considers the problem of applying modern progressive management methods according to the criteria of efficiency and suitability, which are introduced into management system of Russian enterprises without much success. One of causes of this problem is the weak state of the corporate culture. The methodological basis of this study is the fundamental development of scientists in the scope of management methods and concepts on the paper’s subject. There is applied the methodical apparatus, that allows to evaluate of corporate culture levels in the enterprise in the initial and transformed states. The result of the work is approaches to transformations for Russian enterprises as a form of fullfledged development of the management system. The best examples and traditions of the practice of transnational and Russian companies, focused on obtaining a significant market advantage, are considered as the first step to creating an appropriate internal environment. The mechanism of corrective management actions (CMAM) is proposed, which allows for the promotion and support of transformations. The conclusion is that results of the study may be of interest to the leadership of Russian enterprises in reforming the enterprise management system.

Based on EU guidelines and national development plans, energy efficient process management has been slowly implemented in Latvian regions in the context of the Directive 2012/27/EU putting forward two binding indicative national energy efficiency goals for Latvia: (1) to achieve 1.5 % of energy savings delivered to final consumers every year, and (2) to renovate 3 % of the state-owned buildings annually. The aim of the paper is to reflect the management system of energy efficient processes in public and residential buildings in Latvian littoral regions of the Baltic Sea, which can be an important factor for achieving the goals of the Directive. The paper presents the results of the research on energy efficient processes in public and residential buildings in Latvian littoral regions of the Baltic Sea in order to determine the existing challenges. Methods applied in the research are data collection, grouping, analysis and comparison, studies of regulatory documents, as well as statistical data collection and analysis. Contribution of the research is the improvement of energy efficient solutions in public and residential buildings in littoral regions of the Baltic Sea by using the estimated energy efficient processes. The results of the research are of international importance and can be applied not only in public and residential buildings in littoral regions of the Baltic Sea but also in other regions with similar climate or energy efficient process management problems in order to improve the selection of criteria of energy efficient solutions and renovation.

The Daqing oilfield was put into development in 1960. At present, it is in the late stage of ultra-high water cut period. Various displacement modes coexist, and the reservoir development and management is complex and difficult. In order to control the decline of production, the number of new drilling wells increases year by year, the surface and underground conditions are complex, and the management is difficult. The article substantiates that nowadays human resource management needs to be considered in the context of a comprehensive approach that takes into account the dynamics of all its components and implies managing its fluidity. This determined the choice of topic, goal setting and objectives of this study. The purpose of the article is to define modern methods of personnel turnover management and peculiarities of their use. Based on this goal, the following tasks were formulated and solved: to determine the priority of methods in the management of staff turnover at industrial enterprises; on the basis of research with the use of staff turnover management methods to prove the need for their implementation in enterprises. The article identifies the causes of staff turnover at industrial enterprises and describes the characteristics of related layoffs. Both negative and positive effects of staff turnover on industrial enterprises have been determined. Based on the results of previous studies, modern management practices for preventing staff turnover have been outlined and the necessity for their implementation in enterprises is substantiated. According to the results of implementation of recommended methods of personnel turnover management at enterprises and taking into account the reasons for negative movement, based on expert evaluation, forecast data on the coefficient of turnover have been obtained. The proposed approach to determining priority methods in managing staff turnover at industrial enterprises allows to develop measures to minimize staff turnover. The scientific novelty is to develop a set of measures to manage staff turnover that deals with key factors of movement, causes of movement, costs of negative movement. The results of the study are aimed at creating the basis for the development of a targeted program to reduce the level of turnover and losses. The proposed approach to managing staff turnover at the enterprise by defining modern methods of staff turnover management and developing a set of measures is to minimize contradictions between the needs, interests of employees and the specific capabilities of their satisfaction.

As a result of changes in the sectoral structure ofproduction, applied technologies ofproduction and management of organizations in the total social work is constantly increasing the proportion of mental labor. At present, the assessment of workers, engaged in mental work, is traditionally carried out on the basis of indicators of their labor activity. Labor activity characterizes mainly the economic behaviour of the employee, reflects the quantitative results of his labor. At the same time, many of the activities and operations of mental nature are not amenable to accurate planning and adequate quantitative assessment. Therefore, in the management of employees of mental labor, it is necessary to focus on a group of methods, regulating not labor activity, but labor behavior of workers.

In Ukraine, taking into account the constant changes in the economy and policy, the enterprises need to improve management decision-making systems for efficient and well-established production process. Thus it is especially important for the state economy to establish a system of management of the machine-building industry in the field of agricultural production as they: provide the main share of revenues to GDP in Ukraine; are the main source for ensuring the food and agricultural products development. The objective of the paper is to investigate more thoroughly the theoretical foundations of the management decision-making system formation, to develop the direction for optimization under the conditions of uncertainty and risk on the example of agricultural machinery industry enterprise. The theoretical foundations of management decisions at the enterprise as a process for developing and selecting the most effective solution to achieve the best results in the enterprise are outlined in this paper. The factors influencing management decisions such as: degree of risk; information; time; personal qualities of the leader are considered. Methods for application contributing to the most optimal decisions such as: traditional, systematic, economic-analytical, systemic and targeted are identified. Analysis of the current state of agricultural machinery industry development in Ukraine, which shows the dynamics in the direction of deteriorating their condition is carried out. Therefore, there is the need to make management decisions concerning the establishment of their system in management. For example, the agricultural machinery company JSC «Elvorti» is considered. The problem of effective management which requires optimization of directions in the process of making managerial decisions in order to improve its activities is determined. The following factors of the influence on crisis phenomena in the given industry: external factors (political, economic) and internal factors (lack of working capital) significantly affecting the activities results are considered. On the basis of JSC «Elvorti» activity analysis, it is proved that it is necessary to take optimization measures and certain directions in the management decision-making process in order to ensure effective operation. The directions for control, simplification of decision-making process due to automation of document circulation on the basis of 1C, motivation of the personnel which will be able to improve organizational structure of the enterprise and production process are proposed. Introduction, Purpose. Most of the classic and modern investment models do not take into account the crisis processes in the economy. This happens mostly because crises are not studied well enough and serious researches are to be made in this sphere.Methods. This paper offers a model for estimating the market condition, considering the five edge states: crisis growth, growth, stagnation, recession, crisis recession. In this paper has been developed a crisis indicator, which can be the basis for determination of the crisis initial phase.Results. A concept of a dynamic portfolio model, adapting to the market changes, has been introduced to manage market assets. Adaptation of the investment portfolio occurs according to the crisis processes in economy. Investment is understood as a process of buying assets for profit-making. The term “strategic investment” is used to refer to long-range investments. Financial assets exist in various forms and may range from almost completely safe low yield government bonds to international assets that are at much greater risk and produce more profit.Discussion. Usually investor owns an assets bundle. A set of financial assets, bounded by a single investment strategy, is called an investment portfolio. Warren Buffett states that a profitable investment strategy should be long-ranged with selection of the right assets. For managing the market assets the authors suggest the use of the dynamic investment strategy which adapts to the crisis.

The aim of this scientific paper is to present recent development trends in the management of agricultural holdings in the Slovak Republic. Furthermore, the objective is to identify new trends in managerial competencies, the factors that represent key conditions for the business success of agricultural holdings, respectively the obstacles to increased competitiveness, and identify new trends in the utilization of progressive methods, techniques, tools and approaches to management. Several research hypotheses and scientific assumptions were set related to the purpose of the scientific contribution. Mathematical and statistical methods were applied for the statistical testing of the hypothesis – nonparametric tests. The results of a questionnaire survey were used as a source of data and this involved 96 top managers employed in agricultural holdings in the Slovak Republic. Stemming up from the results of our survey, managers among the others tools apply outsourcing (46, 88 %), diversification (92, 71 %) and information technologies (56, 99 %). The results confirm that although managerial approaches and methods have changed significantly as a result of multiple socio‑political and economic transformations, managers need to pay greater attention to environmental aspects, to transfer of innovations and to project management and knowledge management.

Improvement, development and proper exploitation of current rangelands conditions and selecting a range management method (balanced, natural and, artificial) to be implemented in the form of a range management plan (RMP). Data was collected from the rangelands of Haraz River watershed. Information including the total percentage of vegetation and each of the increasing species, rangeland condition and production were studied in 2016. To determine the best range management method, the analysis of variance was used. To compare the quantitative characteristics measured before and after the implementation, a two-sample independent t-test was used. Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare qualitative characteristics. Results showed that the vegetation percentage of palatable species composition did not increase, the balanced and natural methods were the best methods in good and fair rangeland condition. The reason for the lack of increase in the number of palatable species was the unsuccessful implementation of planned programs in RMPs. The artificial method was performed in the RMPs with poor vegetation types, the implementation of these plans had no significant effect on the rangeland condition of the study rangelands due to the high livestock population. Rangeland plans will be more effective when there is a balance between grazing capacity and livestock population. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The aim of the study is to present selected elements of management, vital for the future development (change trends) of enterprises, with respect to the global environment, process management and ecology. Design/methodology/approach: Statistical data analysed, surveys and research literature. Findings: There are some change trends in the management of enterprises of the future, modern technologies and good management of innovations that will be of importance here, as well as the growing significance of ecology and sustainable development, together with waste recycling and searching for alternative and new energy sources. Process management, in contrast, may be on a similar level of assessment in the future as it is at present. Research limitations/implications: Survey small research, unrepresentative of the SME sector in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Pilot case studies. Practical implications: For the good development of enterprises of the future, innovations in a new perspective are of great significance. The development of networks of all kinds will also have a large impact on management in the global future with the use of digital platforms, but already global according to the fourth industrial revolution. Nevertheless, when selecting technologies, forms, concepts, methods and management techniques, all their advantages and disadvantages must be considered. Social implications: Although the ecological approach is not the most crucial for the management and employees of companies, it is nonetheless growing according to evaluations. Ecology and innovation in governance must be taken into account for the benefit of societies. Originality/value: Own small survey research, pilot studies and own analysed references. On the basis of the analysed economic and social statistics, own observation and research, there are selected aspects of the development enterprise, modern methods of management and in the global environment, having regard to the ecology and risk. Introduction: A belief that still endures is that the position of the moon and the phases cause certain physiological, psychological, and behavioral changes in humans and animals. The tidal changes in oceans are due to the gravitational force that is induced on earth by the moon. The full moon (FM) and new moon (NM) can beget social tension, mood swings, and disharmony in humans. There are incidences of increased road accidents, crime, and suicides on lunar cycles. The study states the behavioral changes in special children that include mentally ill, mentally retarded, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) persons. The study also indicates the management methods and medication to be followed during lunar cycles. Aim and Objective: This study aims to study the behavioral changes in mentally ill, mentally retarded, and ASD person in lunar cycles and their management techniques. Materials and Methods: The study is conducted in a population of 40 between the age group of 15 and 45 years that is divided into Samples I and II. Sample I population is the person who are treated at home and Sample II population is an inclusive of person treated in an institute. The study is conducted for a period of 2 months that comprises 2 days of FM and 2 days of NM. Fifteen queries were inquired, which are parted into A, B, and C and the observation is presented in bar graph representation. Results and Conclusion: The study explores the changes in Sample I who does not undertake medication while Sample II experiences a trivial behavioral change in their behavior. This minor change is due to the effect of medication that is specified, and hence, not much changes are observed in Sample II when compared with Sample I. These changes can be overcome by the management techniques that include the recreational activities, medical facilities, counseling facilities, and vocational training courses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
