The number of hands involved in copying NLW, Brogyntyn ii.1 has been a subject of debate. Progress is currently being made from the rather general observations by Kurvinen (1953), Huws (1996), and Salter (2012) to the more recent and better-founded accounts by Carrillo-Linares (2023), on the scribes of Sir Gawayn and the Carl of Carlisle, and Connolly (forthcoming), on the first quire. The present paper aims to contribute to a hitherto unresolved part of the discussion by comparing decorative, palaeographical, and linguistic evidence across the Treatise on Grafting, the Treatise on Limning, Dialogue with a Bird, and The Tale of Ten Wives. I refute Kurvinen's and Salter's suggestions of multiple scribes through sound support of Huws's claim that a single scribe was in charge of both the prose and verse sections in this part of the codex. The article focuses on Middle English prose, print and provenance in Trinity College Dublin MS. 352, highlighting the discovery of unrecorded copies of Middle English verse and prose and extracts from works such as Walter Hilton's Scale of Perfection, and William Flete's Remedies Against Temptation. It explores how MS. 352, a commonplace book possibly owned by a sixteenth-century recusant, offers insights into the reception of late medieval literature and the dissemination of Recusant ideas.

This article focuses on the Royal Manuscript 18 B II which is the earliest and most complete surviving witness to the Middle English prose "Melusine." The article discusses the single-text codex and its features including the number and placement of capitula and explores the hypothesis that the manuscript was translated from the first edition of writer Jean d'Arras's "Mélusine" printed by Adam Steinschaber in Geneva, Switzerland in August 1478.

The article reports on the introduction of an online research project for the Middle English prose sermons in 162 manuscripts from the late 14th to late 15 centuries.
