Det har gått två och ett halvt århundrade sedan det första större försöket gjordes att skriva en svensk litteraturhistoria. Det akademiska system som rådde – metoder, språk, publiceringsvägar – gjorde att Uppsalaforskaren Johan Hinric Lidéns verk aldrig fick något större genomslag, i synnerhet för senare tider. Latinet lade hinder i vägen, och seriepubliceringen i form av akademiska avhandlingar hjälpte inte heller. Lidéns verk är en dokumentation över ett insamlingsarbete som fortfarande är betydelsefullt för kunskapen om äldre svenskspråkig litteratur. Lidéns litterära värderingar sprider ljus över kanoniseringsprocesser, tidsbundna kritiska förhållningssätt och den litterära politikens processer. Historiola är en Uppsalaprodukt. Drivande för en svensk utgåva har Michaelisgillet varit, vilket träffas i staden varje termin. De båda utgivarna är båda yrkesverksamma på Uppsala universitetsbibliotek och har en bakgrund som forskare vid universitetet. Texten till utgåvan har satts av Martin Högvall vid universitetsbibliotekets Grafiska service, och slutprodukten lagts ut som öppen digital resurs med hjälp av bibliotekets Avdelning för vetenskaplig kommunikation. Medarbetare vid specialsamlingarna har givit stöd vid materialframtagning. Vissa tryckbidrag har erhållits från fonder knutna till biblioteket. På Carolina Rediviva ligger även Lidéns arbetsmaterial till Historiola, och det var till biblioteket han donerade sitt material och med tiden även pengar, där avkastningen fortfarande kommer medarbetare till nytta. Det är följdriktigt att detta förord undertecknas på universitetsbiblioteket. I sina papper kring Historiola skriver Lidén att hans forskningsmaterial vid hans bortgång skall överföras till Uppsala universitetsbibliotek. ”Det är billigt att desse papper förvaras inom de murar, inom hvilka jag dem till en god del skrifvit, och på ett ställe, där jag tilbragt och ännu tillbringar de gladaste stunder af min lefnad.” Utgivarna och Michaelisgillet vill tacka Svens

This article presents, for the first time, the end-to-end transmission of physiological data from implanted antennas mimicking sensors to a cloud-enabled aggregator device using fat intra-body communication (fat-IBC). The experiment was performed on a live porcine model in full accordance with ethical standards. Measurement data from two different sensors were collected and sent through a fat-IBC network. The fat-IBC network consisted of three nodes, of which two used antennas implanted in the fat tissue of a live porcine model and one used an on-body antenna placed on the skin. The sensor data was forwarded via Bluetooth Low Energy to an Intel Health Application Platform device, which in turn forwarded the encrypted data to a web server. The experimental results demonstrate that the fat channel can be used in an end-to-end communication scheme, which could involve relaying of sensor data from an implanted device to an external web server.

Supervisor: Zeki Yalcin Gender and gender equality in our school system has throughout the years become a well researched subject, however most of that research has focused on the lower levels of compulsory school. The upper secondary school has not gotten the same attention. We have chosen to explore how social science teachers in upper secondary school treat the subject of gender and gender equality, what strategies they apply in the classroom and how their pupils respond to the subject. We wanted to get access to their classrooms so we could do an ethnographical study to find the answers to how their lessons were planned and executed, if different teachers made different didactic choices depending on the orientation of the class. As our work progressed we ran in to an interesting problem which ultimately made us rethink the purpose of this paper. In our pursuit of respondents we contacted many schools by e-mail and later visited the schools to find participants. This proved difficult as we were met with a wall of silence and lack of interest. We decided that instead of an ethnographical study we would do interviews with teachers to get their view of gender with regards to themselves, the curriculum, organization and what attitudes they perceived their pupils had. We also added the silence and lack of interest we met as something to further investigate in our essay. The results indicate that satisfactory gender education depend on the individual employer and employees’ interest and awareness of the subject. We found that that there is some resistance among the organization from individual teachers and other staff as well as among some of the pupils. It has been known since the late 1940s that glucocorticoids (GCs) possess anti-inflammatory activity. Their various uses in the clinic include treatment of, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma and AIM skin diseases and also as means for avoiding rejection during transplantation. Despite the wide usage of GCs, it is only during the last five years that we have started to understand the molecular responsible for this anti-inflammatory activity. The anti-inflammatory action of glucocorticoids has been shown to involve repression of NF-[kappa]B activity. Several different molecular mechanisms have been proposed to be involved in this process. These include retention of NF-[kappa]B in the cytoplasm, glucocorticoid receptor (GR) interference with DNA binding of NF-[kappa]B, induction of I[kappa]B levels and GR inhibition of NF-[kappa]B when NF-[kappa]B is still bound to DNA. The GR is a member of the superfamily of nuclear receptors. In its inactive state it is associated with heat shock proteins. This association maintains the receptor in a conformation that has low affinity for DNA and high affinity for its cognate ligands. After the ligand has bound to the receptor the heat shock proteins dissociate and the receptor changes its conformation, acquiring a high affinity for its DNA binding site. The ligand-activated receptors can both activate and repress transcription from target genes. This gene regulatory function is mediated via direct DNA binding of the receptor and/or by physical contact with other transcription factors or signal mediators.
