The article is devoted to the study of the value conflict, which has a verbal embodiment, and in some cases it is impossible to distinguish it from a communicative (verbal, linguistic) conflict. The purpose of the article is to study the verbal embodiment of value conflict in the categories of linguoecology. Modern media abound with information about conflicts and serve as a platform for the struggle of some values with others. Common communicative benefit is that, when verbalizing conflict, the techniques of rhetorical argumentation prevail over dysphemization and invectives. All of the above determines the relevance of the article. Different linguistic units used in media discourse are considered as representatives of the conflict. For the first time, the article describes the means of representing axiological marked conflict in media space, taking into consideration the linguistic and pragmatic potential of units of different levels and its representation in media texts of different genres. Such a description contributes to the formation of skills for confident recognition of not only value problematics, but also the means of its representation in media texts, and as a result, the skills and abilities to create relevant professional media texts, diagnose media texts causing and reflecting axiologically marked, significant for linguistic culture conflicts. The novelty also lies in the study of standard and substandard units, neutral and expressive, nominative and tropeic ones, in common media text space, which can also contribute and determine the media education result, for example in creating impactful vivid media texts with an updated pragmatic effect. Media education and media literacy are mutually complementary. Predicting the language unit conflictogenicity in the media and skills to avoid it increase media literacy which is necessary for protection against cyberbullying, online fraud and other types of Internet threats. The empirical material is traditional media texts of topical issues related to different genres, posted on the official websites of media. Modern media discourse reflects all the trends in language development and, as a result, reflects all its inconsistencies. The modern media discourse reflects the tolerant attitude of speakers/writers towards different linguistic elements, which often do not comply with strict standard. The media text reflects all language processes the best of all, sometimes it outstrips the lingual standard. The article analyzes the concept of tolerance as a relation to modern linguistic processes, especially to borrowings, based on the material of modern media discourse. Problems of modern media discourse, modern communication, and therefore speech standard, are studied in connection with ecological thinking, language phenomena are considered from usefulness to improve language as a system. Modern orthology presupposes the extension of the framework of normativity. In the current communicative practices in relation to borrowings and different deviations, the category of tolerance dominates. But this feature does not indicate the gap of fixed ideas about normativity/non-normativity in language consciousness. The cultivation of the modern communicative space involves not only the study of the standard and its dynamics, but also the use of a system of norms, including ethics and speech norm, in media discourse. It was necessary for such a comprehensive research object to use methods of discourse analysis, linguistic pragmatics, including the variability of interpretations and stratification of linguistic units as tolerant/intolerant in media discourse and identification of interrelations between the category of tolerance and the basic principles of ecological thinking. The skills of using borrowed and jargon units when creating a media text are formed and fixed as mandatory in teaching the discipline "Modern Media Text" in professional training of specialists for the media industry. Despite the popularity and frequency of the use it is impossible to make clear and unambiguous definitions to linguistic fashion and a buzzword. The criteria of the buzzword have not been established with sufficient arguments, the reasons for the drift of some words into the category of buzzwords, and others to the loss of this status are not fully understood. Based on the material of modern media discourse the article, to a certain extent, fills in these lacunae and attempts to trace the functional dynamics of words that can be attributed to the fashionable language units of the Russian language of the XXI century. Changes related to the fashion category in many areas of communication, in functional styles and speech genres have been noted. Borrowings (mainly anglicisms) and substandard (jargon and vernacular) are among the sources of buzzwords. There are few cases of transformation of rearchaic elements into buzzwords. The functional dynamics of buzzwords is due to both linguistic and extralinguistic factors. The modern language material presented by media is studied in the article using a descriptive method with elements of linguoculturological and linguopragmatic analysis. One of the ecological criteria is a useful variety of linguistic means of expression and a plenty of synonymic rows. In recent decades synonymic rows have been actively replenished by borrowing anglicisms. References to 2025, when new high-quality dictionaries with a list of anglicisms that have no analogues in native linguistic means and therefore allowed to use are unlikely to be correct. If these are standard dictionaries formed by analogy with explanatory ones or dictionaries of foreign words, they will not help solve the problem, and it is also impossible to hope that a "small monograph" with a list of connotations, pragmatic co-meanings, etc., will be written about every anglicism. Therefore, the urgent problem of the article is to identify in general criteria for the necessity of anglicisms. Of course, it is possible and necessary to talk about the benefits (or lack thereof) for each definite word, but some generalizations can be made. This is exactly what is done in this article. Based on the material of modern media texts, it is shown which types of anglicisms and why fully correspond to ecological thinking and can be considered not as a harm, but as a means of replenishing the Russian language. The methods of analysis were chosen based on the integration of deduction and induction, traditional for the humanities, with the methods of sociolinguistics, cognitive science and linguopragmatics. The pragmatic meanings of widely used nominations are the result of the constant dynamics of socio-cultural values. Word pragmatics knowledge makes it possible for the media text author to adequately implement intentions using various markers of their expression, and for the reader to interpret the intentions of the text author such as non-literal meaning, irony, pejorativeness or, conversely, meliorativeness. The pragmatic components should include such parameters of the word as its compliance/non-compliance with the spirit of time, fashion. The article analyzes the types of pragmatic components in the meaning of linguistic units based on the material of modern media texts, shows the dynamics of pragmatic connotations depending on socio-cultural conditions. The use of contextual and sociolinguistic analysis was chosen, as well as methods such as observation and interpretation, a synchronous-descriptive approach was used, as well as elements of diachronic description (to detect the dynamics of pragmatic meanings). The pragmatic component of semantics plays an important role in generating a media text, since the social co-meaning of a linguistic unit accompanying the subject-logical content turns out to be extremely significant. For last two decades, it has become possible to speak not only about massive lexical borrowing, but about the real anglicization of the Russian-speaking communicative space, and this has become a factor of serious linguistic conflict, since, on the one hand, the process can be considered as inevitable and even beneficial, and on the other hand, negative and even catastrophic. If language activity is considered to be not external to a person, but essential, forming a person as a social being, then it is obvious that the language code participates in this formation. Public language practice influences the peculiarities of human phylogeny, the system of existential guidelines and value parameters, individual and social cognition. Therefore, it is extremely important to define how the very concept of anglicization is correct in relation to the modern Russian language and to evaluate the impact of cultural and linguistic contacts on the modern Russian language. The purpose of the article is to study the phenomenon of Russian-speaking media space anglicization as a linguistic conflict, taking into account the functioning of anglicisms in various communicative spheres. The source of the language material was text fragments containing multilevel anglicisms. Since the article deals with the current state of the Russian language, relevant media texts were involved in the analysis. To solve this problem, the methods of linguopragmatic and sociolinguistic interpretation of linguistic facts were used. Abstract Tolerance and political correctness as social regulatives also extend to the field of lingual standards in mass media. The application of the concept of tolerance to linguistic normativity (The application of the concept of tolerance to linguistic normativity seem to be undertaken for the first time by L.P. Krysin) has received wide resonance and it has been reflected in grammatical descriptions and lexicography. The article attempts to analyze the phenomenon of tolerance in relation to the lexical, grammatical and ethical-linguistic standards of the modern Russian language, as well as to investigate the correlation of the concepts of “tolerance” and “linguoecology”. The analysis of media discourse with the identification of the linguoecological essence of its fragments is carried out; the possibility of interpreting the role of linguistic substandard units in mass media based on the ideas of tolerance and political correctness is discussed. Media discourse is rightly considered to be a generalized model of the national language used by the majority of people. Solzhenitsyn's formulation used in the title of the archaic lexis dictionary (Dictionary of the Russian Language Extension) contained the idea: “Archaisms very often do not deserve "premature death" and should be used in order to protect the Russian language from the harmful average standard”. Solzhenitsyn's idea is believed not to be developed and followed. Meanwhile, the analysis of modern media shows that the best texts invariably include units not from central common lexis. Nowadays archaization and dearchaization of lexis are natural and active language processes. A characteristic feature of the Russian language development at the turn of the XXXXI centuries is fairly considered to be the archaization of lexis that is objectively "chronologically stable". The article is devoted to the analysis of functions of archaic lexis in the media discourse from the point of view of modern linguistic ecology ideas. Archaisms are necessary for the modern language to nuance the thought, they are necessary as an opportunity to create a pathos media text, as a tropeic means with the widest range. Modern media discourse is largely focused on downgraded speech registers, manifested in jargon, increased negative emotionality and conflictogenicity of used language means. The article suggests combining the most significant destructions with one concept of "humilation". Even in classical rhetoric it was understood an unreasonable therefore erroneous downgrading in style. Many manifestations of humilation are typical for media discourse. The article on the material of current media texts of 2021 discusses the humilation types connected with the choice of some language units, as well as with the use of destructive speech strategies not corresponding to ethical and speech and linguolegal standards. Humilation manifested in the very choice of the topic, the object of discussion and speech strategies, is analyzed on news stories about the "Skopinsky maniac" return. The main ways to counteract the abuse of speech freedom and the right to information are to increase the level of public legal awareness, consciously improve the mechanisms of self-regulation in the media. The methodological basis of the study of humilation in media is the multidimensional representation of the language system and its subsystems. The authors used the method of semantic and modal explication of speech acts with cumulative elements, the linguopragmatic and linguolegal analysis method, the contextual interpretation method. The formulation of the research topic is dictated by the tendency to investigate feminitives as destructive phenomena of the modern Russian language, contradicting the linguistic ecology and good language taste. Traditionally invectives, obscenisms and English-language inclusions were considered to be such destructive phenomena. In this connection, it is urgent to analyze the grammatical essence and pragmatic functions of feminitives in media discourse and, on this basis, to find out to what extent they can meet the ecological criteria. The conclusion is that feminitives are not equal in their ability to convey certain pragmatic co-meanings, and it is on these abilities the place of a particular female correlate in the language system, and the correspondence to the linguistic and ecological parameters of communication depends. The question of female correlates from the names of persons by profession, occupation, etc. is not new in grammar and linguoculturology, but new communication techniques, in particular, the features of word usage in Internet blogs, have given a new impetus to this topic. In the study of the language material, retrieved from traditional media texts and internet media content, such techniques as contextual linguopragmatic analysis and the method of pragmatic interpretation, which consists of identifying the features of connotational increments, were used. The article is devoted to manipulation in advertising as an important component of the media space, its difference from honest persuasion. Manipulation is considered to be a sharply negative phenomenon that violates ethical norms of communication. With honest persuasion, language means work to achieve the most important quality of speech – clarity, while manipulation under any circumstances does not seek to achieve clarity. In contrast to the manipulation persuasion is implemented and verified with consciousness. In two types of discourse – advertising and political ones – manipulation is most often used. If manipulative techniques in commercial advertising are generally well identified, but it is rather difficult to identify manipulation in social advertising. Legislative measures are not always confirmed in advertising practices. The advertising process should be managed and controlled by specialized state regulatory bodies, the area of responsibility includes the improvement of the national legislation in the relevant field, but the complexity of the advertising process determines the need for control, taking into consideration the special Code of the advertiser ethics. Such a code is naturally based not only on a set of rules of social behaviour, but also on a special professionally determined axiological system. The quality of advertising should be inseparable from the level of the civil society development. It is necessary to develop linguistic and legal expertise of advertising and media criticism, which will answer the following questions: whether advertising texts comply with the Laws "On advertising" and "On protection of consumer rights". The anthropocentric approach to language involves increased attention to all the parameters of a human person reflected in the language. The androgyny of European languages is corrected by including a human nouns correlative to the vocabulary on the basis of grammatical gender. The spread of political correctness modern ideas restricts the use of sexist words and expressions. The main way of the modern languages’ development is to eliminate the discrimination of women reflected in the language. Due to the globalization influence and significant feminism arise the significant correction of gender nominations has become possible. The article reviews materials published in Russian Journal of Linguistics on problems of media discourse, grammar and intercultural communication. The Russian journal of Linguistics, 2018, No 1-2 pays attention to many problems of modern linguistics: analysis, especially political media discourse, rhetoric, intercultural communication, language and culture, contrastive linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive linguistics, pragmatics, grammar, wordformation, intercultural communication, theory and practice of translation. Special importance in Russian Journal of Linguistics is attached to media discourse. The expansion of modern linguistics, its interdisciplinariness is an objective phenomenon, which causes, however, criticisms associated with the use of "drifting" from one area of scientific knowledge to another and therefore insufficiently clearly defined concepts. In the article there were used a descriptive method included methods of observation, intra-linguistic comparison, sociolinguistic and linguopragmatic interpretation. There were also used elements of diachronic analysis and historical retrospection. The specificity of the problem area studied in this work has led to the hermeneutic approach, which is characterized by the emphasized installation on the explanation and interpretation. Within anthropocentric linguistics, questions of how a person affects the language he/she uses, what is the measure of his/her possible influence on the language, what areas in the language system are open to linguocreative activity (which is naturally reflected in the media discourse, and grammar, and intercultural communication) and in general depend on the human factor are actively developed. Linguoecology studies all various-level language units, the use of which is contrary to the structurallanguage or ethical-speech standards and reduces the purity and comfort of communication. Linguoecology researches discourse as speech-thinking activity organizing specific communication types (audio, visual, audio-visual communication) which are eventually markers of mass media discourse and mediaspace in general. Discourse is understood as the actualizations of text structures in interaction with extralinguistic factors determining the perception and understanding of information allowing to consider the discourse as cognitive and communicative-pragmatic phenomenon. The discourse structure is multidimensional and includes described events, their participants, performative information and "non-events", i.e. the backdrop to the events, background, evaluation of the event participants, etc. The article discusses the emerging correlative connections between the conceptual paradigm of linguistic ecology and heuristic potential for the study of media discourse in modern linguistics.
