The literature suggests that managerial skills in general and emotional intelligence in particular, play a significant role in the success of professionals in the workplace. This study employed a descriptive-correlational research design to investigate the relationships of emotional intelligence and personality variables on attitude toward organizational change in Malaysian secondary school context. The study involved a total of 75 professionals chosen randomly from Insurance and Private sectors Bank in Ratlam district. The purpose of the present study is to add a different way of looking and working with organisational change by focusing on individuals’ emotions and personality traits. .The results confirmed that there is a relationship between personality traits and employees’ attitudes toward change. Similarly, the contribution of emotional intelligence to the attitudes to change was found to be significant, indicating the added value of using an emotional intelligence measure above and beyond the effect of personality.

Air liquid interface (ALI) exposure systems are gaining interest, and studies suggest enhanced response of lung cells exposed to particles at ALI as compared to submerged exposure, although the results have been somewhat inconsistent. Previous studies have used monocultures and measured particle deposition using assumptions including consistent particle deposition, particle density, and shape. This study exposed co-cultures of A549 and differentiated THP-1 cells to flame-generated particles using three exposure methods: ALI, pseudo-ALI, and submerged. The dose at ALI was measured directly, reducing the need for assumptions about particle properties and deposition. For all exposure methods an enhanced pro-inflammatory response (TNFα) and Cytochrome P450 (CYP1A1) gene expression, compared to their corresponding negative controls, was observed. ALI exposure induced a significantly greater TNFα response compared to submerged exposure. The submerged exposures exhibited greater induction of CYP1A1 than other exposure methods, although not statistically significant. Some of the factors behind the observed difference in responses for the three exposure methods include differences in physicochemical properties of particles in suspending media, delivered dose, and potential contribution of gas-phase species to cellular response in ALI exposure. However, given the difficulty and expense of ALI exposures, submerged exposure may still provide relevant information for particulate exposures.

The present study provides the sources of occupational stress existing among working women in different service sectors. The stratified random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 100 respondents The data was analysed using ANOVA (ONE WAY) was used in testing the hypotheses Furthermore; the study establishes the relationship between the demographic characteristics and different factors of stress. This would be useful to know the impact of demographic factors on stress and to formulate the policies depending upon the demographic characteristics of the individuals. The suggestions of the present study are useful to the working women to identify different stress coping strategies and enable the working women to effectively manage competing demands of their multiple roles. The study is useful to the policy makers, managers and the academicians to frame suitable stress coping strategies especially for working women in order to reduce their stress and to improve the productivity of the individual as well as the organization.

The New Education Policy (NEP) was announced by the Government of India in 2020. Amidst the global pandemic, this new initiative by the Government came as a welcoming change as it unfolded several new changes to the conventional education system and promised quality education to all prospects, ensuring a continuous ascent of the country. Of course, when the NEP was first introduced by the officials, it came across as a surprise for the entire nation, considering no one was expecting it amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the outlines introduced with this new policy seemed revolutionary and promised equal education opportunities to students across schools and colleges. This paper outlines the significance of the NEP, its salient features, and how it has affected the traditional education system.

In recent years the rise in stress has seen across all spheres of life, particularly in workplace. And the Banking and Non-Banking sectors are not an exceptional one. Stress has nowadays become a worldwide crisis, which is affecting the people working in almost every sector of the economy. It not only affects physical and mental health of employees, but also reduces the competitiveness and productivity of the organization. The study aims to assess the stress level and its associated factors among Banking and Non-Banking employees. Sample of 100 employees was considered. The research is descriptive in nature and we use questionnaire method for collection of data. Findings of this study also resulted in the overall level of work stress among respondent is moderate.

Institutions of higher learning face a new situation on higher education. The article studies special aspects of managerial analysis of management education institutes through the use of correlation analysis. There were two management institutes of Indore city. Chi square test were used. The study looks at the problems in management education with a managerial emphasis. The nature of work of bankers and family life may most often expose them to high level of stress which has the potential of affecting their productive capacity. Data for the study were collected from the field using interview schedules and questionnaires. The descriptive statistical, t-test statistical technique in testing the relationship among variables. Findings from the study show the existence of high level of stress among the Bankers. An attempt has been made to find out the association between the female and male coping mechanisms during stress. The nature of work of bankers and family life may most often expose them to high level of stress which has the potential of affecting their productive capacity. This study therefore sought to find out the stress and coping strategies of bankers in Tema. This study adopted a mixed method to investigate the nature of stress and the coping strategies adopted by Bankers in the Tema Metropolis. Data for the study were collected from the field using interview schedules and questionnaires. Findings from the study show the existence of high level of stress among the Bankers. As the changing climate expands the extent of arid and semi-arid lands, the number of, severity of, and health effects associated with dust events are likely to increase. However, regulatory measurements capable of capturing dust (PM10, particulate matter smaller than 10 µm in diameter) are sparse, sparser than measurements of PM2.5 (PM smaller than 2.5 µm in diameter). Although low-cost sensors could supplement regulatory monitors, as numerous studies have shown for PM2.5 concentrations, most of these sensors are not effective at measuring PM10 despite claims by sensor manufacturers. This study focuses on the Salt Lake Valley, adjacent to the Great Salt Lake, which recently reached historic lows exposing 1865 km2 of dry lake bed. It evaluated the field performance of the Plantower PMS5003, a common low-cost PM sensor, and the Alphasense OPC-N3, a promising candidate for low-cost measurement of PM10, against a federal equivalent method (FEM, beta attenuation) and research measurements (GRIMM aerosol spectrometer model 1.109) at three different locations. During a month-long field study that included five dust events in the Salt Lake Valley with PM10 concentrations reaching 311 µg m−3, the OPC-N3 exhibited strong correlation with FEM PM10 measurements (R2 = 0.865, RMSE = 12.4 µg m−3) and GRIMM (R2 = 0.937, RMSE = 17.7 µg m−3). The PMS exhibited poor to moderate correlations (R2 < 0.49, RMSE = 33–45 µg m−3) with reference or research monitors and severely underestimated the PM10 concentrations (slope < 0.099) for PM10. We also evaluated a PM-ratio-based correction method to improve the estimated PM10 concentration from PMSs. After applying this method, PMS PM10 concentrations correlated reasonably well with FEM measurements (R2 > 0.63) and GRIMM measurements (R2 > 0.76), and the RMSE decreased to 15–25 µg m−3. Our results suggest that it may be possible to obtain better resolved spatial estimates of PM10 concentration using a combination of PMSs (often publicly available in communities) and measurements of PM2.5 and PM10, such as those provided by FEMs, research-grade instrumentation, or the OPC-N3.

Aerosolization of SARS-CoV-2 by COVID-19 patients can put healthcare workers and susceptible individuals at risk of infection. Air sampling for SARS-CoV-2 has been conducted in healthcare settings, but methods vary widely and there is need for improvement. The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of using a high-volume filter sampler, BioCapture z720, to detect SARS-CoV-2 in COVID-19 patient rooms in a medical intensive care unit, a dedicated COVID-19 ward, and at nurses’ stations. In some locations, the BioSpot-VIVAS, known for high efficiency in the collection of virus-containing bioaerosols, was also operated. The samples were processed for SARS-CoV-2 RNA with multi-plex nested polymerase chain reaction. One of 28 samples collected with the high-volume filter sampler was positive for SARS-CoV-2; all 6 samples collected with BioSpot-VIVAS were negative for SARS-CoV-2. The high-volume filter sampler was more portable and less intrusive in patient rooms than the BioSpot-VIVAS, but limits of detection remain unknown for this device. This study will inform future work to evaluate the reliability of these types of instruments and inform best practices for their use in healthcare environments for SARS-CoV-2 air sampling.

The aim of the study was to investigate the strategy of Amul and its impact on the audience during Tokyo Olympics 2020 that was organized in 2021 due to pandemic. For this investigation, the content of 10 Amul Doodles was analyzed, while for the study of the impact of Amul Doodles on audience a random survey was conducted on 100 persons (aged 18-49).The analysis of the content indicated that Amul Doodles focused on the performance of Indian Players in Tokyo Olympics as a promotional strategy. On the other hand, the Survey stipulates that this promotional strategy of Amul increased the popularity and good will of the Brand in the market. It is recommended that Amul should continue with this unique promotional strategy and other brands should develop some unique strategies like Doodles.

The main aim of present research was to examine the temperament of HRD-climate in pharmaceutical companies and identify the factors conducive towards HRD-climate. HRD climate plays a very important role in the success of any organization because directly or indirectly it affects the performance of the employees. If the HRD climate is good then the employees will contribute their maximum for the achievement of the organizational objectives. The current research is an attempt to identify the HRD-climate in pharmaceutical companies in Indore city. For this study the researcher used descriptive research design. The universe of the study constituted of 150 different categories employees from two pharmaceutical companies. Among them 75 employees were selected by using purposive sampling. The researcher used questionnaire method to collect the data from the primary source.

The Data Has Been Gathered Via Electronic Questionnaire Form And In This Study Ei Scale Developed By Dr. Upinderdhar, Anukool Hyde & Sanjyot Pethe (2005) And Ls Scale Developed By Dr. Promila Singh & George Joseph (1996) Have Been Used. In This Study, Descriptive Statistic Methods Such As Pearson Correlation And T Test Have Been Used And Results Have Been Assessed According To Significant Level 0.05. As A Result Of This Study, Positive Impacts Of Emotional Intelligence Were Significantly Correlated To Life Satisfaction.

Background The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic has highlighted safety concerns surrounding possible aerosol‐generating procedures, but comparative data on the smallest particles capable of transmitting this virus remain limited. We evaluated the effect of nasal endoscopy on aerosol concentration and the role of a high‐efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter in reducing aerosol concentration. Methods Otolaryngology patients were prospectively enrolled in an outpatient, cross‐sectional study. Demographic information and clinic room characteristics were recorded. A scanning mobility particle sizer and GRIMM aerosol monitor measured aerosols 14.3 nm to 34 μm in diameter (i.e., particles smaller than those currently examined in the literature) during (1) nasal endoscopy (± debridement) and (2) no nasal endoscopy encounters. One‐way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Student's t test were performed to compare aerosol concentrations and impact of HEPA filtration. Results Sixty‐two patients met inclusion criteria (25 nasal endoscopy without debridement; 18 nasal endoscopy with debridement; 19 no nasal endoscopy). There was no significant difference in age or gender across cohorts. Aerosol concentration in the nasal endoscopy cohort (± debridement) was not greater than the no nasal endoscopy cohort (p = 0.36; confidence interval [95% CI], −1.76 to 0.17 μg/m3; and p = 0.12; 95% CI, −0.11 to 2.14 μg/m3, respectively). Aerosol concentrations returned to baseline after 8.76 min without a HEPA filter versus 4.75 min with a HEPA filter (p = 0.001; 95% CI, 1.73–6.3 min). Conclusion Using advanced instrumentation and a comparative study design, aerosol concentration was shown to be no greater during nasal endoscopy versus no endoscopy encounters. HEPA filter utilization reduced aerosol concentrations significantly faster than no HEPA filter.

Objectives: The objectives of the study were as follows: 1. To study the prevalence of stress among doctors. 2. To find the association of stress and its risk factors. Materials and Methods: Institution based cross-sectional study was conducted in the tertiary hospital of Punjab. Pre-validated questionnaire was used to assess the demographic variables and stress factors. Perceived Stress Scale-10 was used to assess the stress levels among the doctors. Results: Of the 203 participants, females (54.7%) outnumbered the males. Mean scores for the stress scale was 18.40±5.4. Majority of the participants (79.8%) were having moderate stress levels. Statistically significant higher stress levels were found in female doctors (P-value = 0.009) and in the age category of 31-40 years (P-value= 0.04). Emergency duties, intra-departmental working environment, being away from family, not able to have proper personal and family time, lack of sleep were the main risk factors to cause increased stress among doctors. Listening to the music was found to be the main stress buster. Conclusion: Proper rest and involvement into stress relieving activities like meditation and yoga, conducive working environment are the need of the hour for the burnt-out healthcare providers.

Atmospheric aging of combustion particles alters their chemical composition and morphology. Previous studies have reported differences in toxicological responses after exposure to fresh versus aged particles, with chemical composition being the prime suspect behind the differences. However, less is known about the contribution of morphological differences in atmospherically aged particles to toxicological responses, possibly due to the difficulty in resolving the two properties (composition and morphology) that change simultaneously. This study altered the shape of lab-generated combustion particles, without affecting the chemical composition, from fractal-like to a more compact spherical shape, using a water condensation-evaporation method. The two shapes were exposed to a co-culture of human airway epithelial (A549) and differentiated human monocyte (THP-1) cells at air-liquid interface (ALI) conditions. The particles with different shapes were deposited using an electrostatic field-based ALI chamber. For the same mass dose, both shapes were internalized by cells, induced a pro-inflammatory response (IL-8 and TNFα), and enhanced CYP1A1 gene expression compared to air controls. The more compact spherical particles (representative of atmospherically aged particles) induced more early apoptosis and release of TNFα compared to the more fractal-like particles. These results suggest a contribution of morphology to the increased toxicity of aged combustion-derived particles.
