In the present study, a new copolymer containing pyrazole substituted 1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl methacrylate (DPMA) and styrene (St) units, [poly(DPMA-co-St)], was synthesized. Thermal degradation kinetics of the copolymer system was investigated in detail with the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) technique. An increase in the thermal stability of the copolymer from 252.02 °C to 274.89 °C was observed depending on the change in heating rate (5 °C/min – 20 °C/min). The thermal degradation activation energies of the copolymer were 149.37 kJ/mol and 140.99 kJ/mol, respectively, with the Kissinger and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa methods in the conversion range of 9% - 21%. The thermal degradation mechanism of the copolymer was investigated in the light of different kinetic methods such as Coats-Redfern, Tang, Madhusudanan, Van-Krevelen and Horowitz-Metzger. The results showed that the thermal decomposition mechanism of the copolymer proceeds through a one-dimensional diffusion-type deceleration mechanism, namely the D1 mechanism, at the optimum heating rate of 20 °C/min, especially according to the Coats-Redfern method., Mevcut çalışmada, pirazol sübstitüe gruplu 1,3-difenil-1H-pirazol-5-il metakrilat (DPMA) ve stiren (St) birimlerini içeren yeni bir kopolimer [poli(DPMA-ko-St)] sentezlenmiş ve kopolimer sisteminin termal bozunma kinetiği termogravimetrik analiz (TGA) tekniği ile detaylıca araştırılmıştır. Isıtma hızındaki değişime bağlı olarak (5 °C/dak – 20 °C/dak) kopolimerin termal stabilitesinde 252,02 °C'den 274,89 °C'ye bir artış gözlemlenmiştir. Kopolimerin termal bozunma aktivasyon enerjileri, %9 - %21 dönüşüm aralığında, Kissinger ve Flynn-Wall-Ozawa yöntemleri ile sırasıyla 149,37 kJ/mol ve 140,99 kJ/mol olarak sonuçlanmıştır. Coats-Redfern, Tang, Madhusudanan ve Van Krevelen gibi farklı kinetik metotlar ışığında kopolimerin termal bozunma mekanizması incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar kopolimerin termal bozunma mekanizmasının özellikle Coats-Redfern metoduna göre 20 °C/dak optimum ısıtma hızında tek boyutlu difüzyon tipi bir yavaşlama mekanizması yani D1 mekanizması üzerinden ilerlediğini göstermiştir.

In this article, we report the synthesis, X-ray structure determination, geometric parameters, vibrational frequencies, NMR, and UV spectra of a coumarin derivative titled 4-chloromethyl coumarin-7-yl-methacrylate (CCMA). In the study, the theoretical vibrational frequencies, NMR and UV spectra, and optimized geometric parameters were computed by using density functional theory with the hybrid methods B3LYP/6-31 + G(d,p) basis set. The optimized geometric parameters, vibrational frequencies, and H-1 and C-13 NMR chemical shifts values were contrasted with experimental values of the title molecule. The theoretical vibrational frequencies were found in concordance with the matching experimental data. The electronic properties of the molecule were studied using the molecular frontier orbital energies, ESP surfaces, the natural bond orbital (NBO), and nonlinear optical (NLO) properties. The study findings show that the molecule has nucleophilic regions around O atoms and the transition from the ground state to the first excited state with the electronic absorption peaks at 318.19 nm in gas. In this study, the remarkable electron delocalization occurred between the donor (C4-C5) anti bond and acceptor (C6-C9) anti bond with 249.60 kcal/mol stabilization energy in the title molecule. Bu çalışmada çağdaş epistemoloji alanındaki güncel tartışmalar konu edinilmiş ve bu tartışmaların Türkçe literatüre yansımaları incelenmiştir. Gettier sonrası epistemolojide yaşanan kırılma, epistemoloji tarihinin yönünü değiştirmekle kalmayıp bu alandaki kavram ve kuramlara yönelik algıyı da değiştirmiştir. Geleneksel bilgi tanımının çözümlenmesi ile başlayan süreç, bu tanıma yönelik gereklilik ve yeterlilik koşullarının tartışılmasına evrilmiştir. Özellikle gerekçelendirme bileşeni etrafında tartışmalar yürütülmüş, içselci ve dışsalcı gerekçelendirme anlayışlarının yanı sıra çok sayıda yeni gerekçelendirme anlayışı da literatüre girmiştir. Çağdaş epistemoloji olarak ifade edilen bu dönemde pek çok yeni kavram ve kuram ortaya çıkmış ve yeni tartışmalar tamamen bu eksende yürümeye başlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı güncel epistemoloji tartışmalarının konu ve kavramlarını izahlı bir şekilde sunmak, kavramların kullanımlarını ve çevirilerini tespit ettikten sonra İngilizce-Türkçe Bir Çağdaş Epistemoloji Sözlüğü önermektir. Çalışma boyunca bu amaçlar doğrultusunda söz konusu kavramlar tartışılmış ve böyle bir sözlüğün önem ve mahiyeti aktarıldıktan sonra belirlenen ilke ve esaslar çerçevesinde bir sözlük önerisinde bulunulmuştur. In this study, the recent arguments in the field of contemporary epistomology are discussed and their reflections on the literature in Turkish are examined. The post Gettier epistemological breakdown not only changed the direction of the history of epistemology, but also changed the perception of concepts and theories in this field. The process, which starts with analyzing the conventional definition of knowledge, evolved to the discussion of necessities and requirements of this definition. The discussions have been particularly carried out around the justification component and many new justification approaches have been added to the literature as well as internalist and externalist justification approaches. In this novel era defined as contemporary epistemology, a great deal of new concepts and theories have been proposed and the discussions have started to be mostly carried out in this line. The aim of this study is to provide an extensive overview of the recent epistemological discussions in an explanatory way and to propose an English-Turkish Epistemology Dictionary after determining the usages and translations of concepts. Throughout the study, these concepts are discussed in line with these aims and thereafter, the importance and nature of the dictionary in question are presented. Upon drawing a framework consisting of specific principles and elements, a dictionary is proposed.

Headache is the one of the most common problems contributing to suffering worldwide and sometimes it causes disability. Some patients are unable to use the drugs for various reasons and some are resistant to the pharmacological treatment. Therefore, additional effective non-pharmacological treatments are sought.Transcranial electrical stimulation techniques have been developed as potential therapeutic options. Among these techniques, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is the only technique studied for the treatment of headache. TDCS is a neurophysiological technique with multifarious advantages encompassing its low-cost, high tolerability and acceptability, comfortable application and the opportunity to use concomitantly with other treatments. Steadily increasing interest in tDCS stems from the multidisciplinary advances in neuroscientific backgrounds of neuropsychiatric diseases. Even though exact mechanisms behind benefits of tDCS have not yet been clearly disclosed, changes in multitudinous chemical and physiological parameters have been demonstrated. The purpose of this review is to summarize what is currently known regarding the effects of tDCS on the treatment of headache focusing mostly on migraine. Herein, tDCS procedures that may be helpful for primary headache treatment were described. TDCS has shown promise for effectively treating primary headaches with no severe adverse effects. The findings indicate that the analgesic effects of tDCS can last for a long period and can occur after the time of stimulation. Additional research is required for the determination of optimized stimulation protocols in each specific headache disorder. Amaç: Elektroretinografi (ERG) ve Görsel Uyarılmış Potansiyeller (GUP) görsel bir uyarana yanıt olarak retinada ve oksipital korteksteki primer görme alanında oluşan elektriksel etkinliği ölçen ve görme yollarını nesnel olarak değerlendirebilen önemli tanı araçlarıdır. Potansiyellerin oluşturulması için zenon ya da ışık yayan diyot (LED) ışık kaynağı kullanılabilmektedir. Farklı fiziksel özelliklere sahip olan bu iki ışık kaynağının GUP ölçümlerinde kullanıldığı az sayıda araştırmada, LED ışık kaynağı kullanılarak yapılan GUP kayıtlarında benzer ya da hafifçe daha düşük genlikler elde edildiği bildirilmiştir. Ancak her iki ışık kaynağı kullanılarak ölçülen ERG ve GUP kayıtlarını eş zamanlı olarak değerlendiren bir araştırma bulunmamaktadır. Bu araştırmada sağlıklı gönüllülerde zenon ve LED ışık kaynağı kullanılarak yapılan ERG ve GUP kayıtlarının karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler:Araştırmanın örneklemi 21-30 yaş aralığındaki 31 gönüllü katılımcıdan oluşmaktadır. LED ve zenon ışık kaynağı ile hem sağ hem sol gözden sırası randomize edilerek ayrı ayrı ERG ve GUP kayıtları alındı. ERG kayıtlarındaki “a”, “b”, ve GUP kayıtlarındaki N2, P2 dalgalarının gecikme süreleri ve genlikleri “Eşleştirilmiş-t testi” ile karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: ERG kayıtlarındaki “a” ve “b” dalgaları ile GUP kayıtlarındaki N2 ve P2 dalgalarının gecikme süreleri arasında fark saptanmadı. LED ışık kaynağı ile yapılan ERG kayıtlarındaki a ve b dalgalarının genlikleri ile GUP kayıtlarındaki N2 dalgasının genliği daha düşük bulundu. Sonuç: LED ışık kaynağı ile zenon lamba ile elde edilenlere büyük ölçüde benzer dalga morfolojisi ve sonuçları olan ERG ve GUP kayıtları elde edilebileceği gösterilmiştir. LED ışık kaynağı ile yapılan GUP ve ERG ölçümlerinde daha düşük genlikler elde edilmesinin önüne geçmek için monokromatik LED kullanılması, özel gözlük kullanılması gibi değişiklikler önerilmiştir. Ayrıca bulunan sonuçların farklı yaş grupları ve görme yolu patolojisi olan bireylerde yinelenmesine gereksinim duyulmaktadır., Introduction:Electroretinography(ERG) and Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP) are important diagnostic tests thatmeasure the electrical activity occurring in the retina and the occipitalcortex after visual stimuli and assess the visual pathways objectively. Xenonor Light Emitting Diode (LED) light sources could be used to generate thepotentials. A few studies comparing VEP measurements using these two lightsources that have different physical features have found similar or slightlylower amplitudes when using LED as a light source instead of xenon bulb.However, no previous studies compared both ERG and VEP measurements using thesetwo light sources simultaneously. The present study aimed to compare both ERGand VEP measurements using LED or Xenon as light source in a healthypopulation. Materials and Methods: The study sample comprised of 31 healthy volunteers aged between 21 and 30years. ERG and VEP measurements have been recorded from both eyes using LED orxenon light sources in a random order. Latencies and amplitudes of “a” and “b”waves in ERG and N2 and P2 waves in VEP measurements were compared using“Paired T-Test.” Results: No differences have been found between latencies of “a” and “b” waves inERG and N2 and P2 waves in VEP measurements. Amplitudes of “a” and “b” waves inERG and N2 wave in VEP measurements have been found lower in records takenusing LED as a light source. Discussion and Conclusion: Highly similar wavemorphology and results have been found using Xenon and LED light sources in ERGand VEP measurements. Differentsuggestions such as using monochromatic LED or specific goggles have been madeto increase the amplitudes in ERG and VEP measurements using LED light source.Moreover, the results of the present study need to be replicated in differentage groups and populations that have visual pathway pathologies.

Applied Sciences 8(3), 333 (2018). doi:10.3390/app8030333 special issue: "Rare-Earth Doping for Optical Applications", We performed a comparative spectroscopic analysis on three novel $\mathrm Tm^{3+}$:tellurite-based glasses with the following compositions $\mathrm {Tm^{3+}Tm_2O_3:TeO_2-ZnO}$ (TeZnTm), $\mathrm{Tm_2O_3:TeO_2-Nb_2O_5 (TeNbTm)}$, and $\mathrm{Tm^{3+}:TeO_2-K_2O-Nb_2O_5}$ (TeNbKTm), primarily for 2-m laser applications. Tellurite glasses were prepared at different doping concentrations in order to investigate the effect of $\mathrm{Tm^{3+}}$ ion concentration as well as host composition on the stimulated emission cross sections and the luminescence quantum efficiencies. By performing Judd–Ofelt analysis, we determined the average radiative lifetimes of the $\mathrm{^{3}H_4}$ level to be 2.55 0.07 ms, 2.76 0.03 ms and 2.57 0.20 ms for the TeZnTm, TeNbTm and TeNbKTm samples, respectively. We clearly observed the effect of the cross-relaxation, which becomes significant at higher $\mathrm{Tm_2O_3}$ concentrations, leading to the quenching of 1460-nm emission and enhancement of 1860-nm emission. Furthermore, with increasing Tm2O3 concentrations, we observed a decrease in the fluorescence lifetimes as a result of the onset of non-radiative decay. For the $\mathrm{^{3}H_4}$ level, the highest obtained quantum efficiency was 32% for the samples with the lowest $\mathrm{Tm_2O_3}$ ion concentration. Mevcut çalışmada, ilk olarak, kumarin türevli yeni bir surfmer olan 7-metakriloksikumarin-4-il-trimetilhekzadesilamonyum klorür (MKHDAK) bileşiği ile doğal montmorillonit kili (Na-MMT) arasında katyon değişimi gerçekleştirildi. Poli(metil metakrilat) (PMMA) matris içinde organomodifiye edilen kilin (OMKHDAK) farklı yüzdeliklerde dağıtılması sonucu PMMA/OMKHDAK nanokompozitleri hazırlandı. Bu amaçla yerinde polimerizasyon metodu kullanıldı. Kumarin modifiyeli organokilin, hazırlanan PMMA nanokompozitlerinin morfolojilerinin eksfoliye yapıda olmasında aktif rol üstlendiği XRD ölçümlerinden analiz edildi. TGA ölçümlerinden organokil oranı ile nanokompozitlerin termal kararlılığı arasında pozitif bir korelasyon görüldü. %5 oranında organokil içeren nanokompozitin başlangıç bozunma sıcaklığı 276 °C olarak ölçüldü. DSC analizinden, PMMA matris içinde kil oranı %5 düzeyine çıkartıldığında, camsı geçiş sıcaklığı 140 °C’den 133 °C’ye yaklaşık 7 °C’lik bir azalış gösterdi.&nbsp

Atom transfer radikal polimerizasyon (ATRP) metoduyla 2,6-dibromo pirazabolbaşlatıcısı varlığında CuBr/2,2’-bipiridin katalizör sistemi ile katalizlenen metilmetakrilatın 100 oC’de farklı sürelerde sonlandırılan bir seri iki kollu polimeri (PMMA)sentezlendi. Polimerlerin ortalama molekül ağırlıkları ve molekül ağırlık dağılımlarıGPC tekniği ile belirlenerek polimerizasyon kinetiği araştırıldı. 240 dakikalık süredepolimerleştirilen iki kollu PMMA’ın termal davranışı detaylıca test edildi. TGA metodukullanılarak 5, 10, 15, 20 ve 25 oC/dak ısıtma hızlarında termal bozunma kinetiğiaraştırıldı. TGA sonuçlarından, ısıtma hızı ile polimerin termal kararlılığı arasındadoğrusal bir ilişki tespit edildi. Polimerin termal bozunma aktivasyon enerjisi FlynnWall-Ozawave Kissinger metotlarından sırasıyla 120,98 kJ/mol ve 112,53 kJ/mololarak hesaplandı. Polimerin termal bozunma mekanizmasını belirlemek amacıylaCoats-Redfern, Tang ve Madhusudanan gibi kinetik metotlar kullanıldı. Elde edilenkinetik veriler ışığında pirazabol merkezli iki kollu PMMA’ın termal bozunmamekanizmasının D2 tipi yavaşlama mekanizması üzerinden 5 °C/dak optimum ısıtmahızında ilerlediği gözlemlendi., A series of two armed polymers of methyl methacrylate (PMMA) wassynthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) method using 2,6-dibromopyrazabole as initiator and CuBr/2,2’-bipyridine as catalyst system at 100 °Cended different times. Average number molecular weights and molecular weightdistributions of polymer series were recorded with GPC technique and thus,polymerization kinetic was determined. Thermal behavior of two-armed PMMApolymerized at 240 minutes was investigated detailed by TGA method at the heatingrates of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 oC/min. From TGA results, a linear correlation wasdetermined between the heating rate and the thermal stability of the polymer.Decomposition activation energies of polymer were found to be 120,98 kJ/mol and112,53 kJ/mol by the Flynn-Wall-Ozawa and Kissinger methods, respectively. Somekinetic methods such as Coats-Redfern, Tang and Madhusudanan were used toinvestigate the thermal degradation mechanisms of polymer. In the light of obtainedkinetic data, it was observed that the thermal decomposition mechanism of thepyrazabole centered two-armed PMMA was followed by D2 type decelerationmechanism at 5 °C/min optimum heating rate.

Mevcut çalışma, kumarin yan dallı yüzey aktif monomer olan 7-metakriloksikumarin-4-il-trimetilhekzadesilamonyum klorür yüzey aktif monomerinin sentez ve spektral karakterizasyonunu araştırmaktadır. Bu çerçevede, yüzey aktif monomerinin sentezi üç temel deneysel aşamada gerçekleştirildi. Birinci aşamada 7-hidroksi-4-klorometil kumarin sentezi, ikinci aşamada 4-klorometil kumarin-7-il-metakrilat monomerinin sentezi ve üçüncü aşamada ise 7-metakriloksikumarin-4-il-trimetilhekzadesilamonyum klorür yüzey aktif monomerinin sentezidir. Tüm bileşiklerin karakterizasyonları infrared (FTIR) ve nükleer manyetik rezonans (1H-NMR ve 13C-NMR) teknikleri ile sağlandı., The present study investigates the synthesis and spectral characterization of 7-methacryloxycoumarin-4-yl-trimethylhexadesyl ammonium chloride surface active monomer which is a coumarin side branched surfactant. In this respect, the synthesis of the surface active monomer was carried out in three basic experimental processes. The first step of experiments is the synthesis of 7-hydroxy-4-chloromethyl coumarin; the second step is the synthesis of 4-chloromethyl coumarin-7-yl-methacrylate monomer; and the third step is the synthesis of 7-methacryloxycoumarin-4-yl-trimethylhexadesyl ammonium chloride surfactant. The characterizations of all compounds were provided with infrared (IR) and nuclear magnetiic resonance (1H-NMR and 13C-NMR) techniques.
