Citizen journalism means that non-professional journalistsare actively involved in news production and dissemination processes. Citizenjournalism, which has become widespread due to the structural problems of themainstream media and the transformations in communication technologies, canappear in various forms today. One of them is the WhatsApp notification linesused in the main news bulletins of the central media. The WhatsApp application,which emerged as means of communication, made it one of the instruments forcitizen journalism because of the potential to have people hear their voices.As a result of this application, the images of the events individuals arewitnessing can reach the news centers as well as they become crime victims. Inthis way, the individuals beside the news professionals also emerge as actorsin the news processes. This study aims to measure the effect of WhatsAppnotification lines on the main news bulletins by analyzing the ten dayperiodicals of the three main news bulletins selected through random sampling.In addition to this, WhatsApp aims to reveal the qualitative aspect as well asthe quantitative dimension of the effect by analyzing the content of newsreports on the notice line. This analysis not only reveals the impact ofcitizen journalism on the main news bulletins, but also allows the media toidentify the relationship between the media and the society., Yurttaş gazeteciliği,profesyonel mesleği gazetecilik olmayan bireylerin haber üretme ve yayma süreçlerindeaktif rol almasını ifade etmektedir. Ana akım medyanın sahip olduğu yapısalbirtakım sorunlarla birlikte iletişim teknolojilerinde yaşanan dönüşümlerneticesinde yaygınlık kazanan yurttaş gazeteciliği günümüzde farklı şekillerdeortaya çıkabilmektedir. Bunlardan bir tanesi de merkez medyanın ana haber bültenlerindekullanılan WhatsApp ihbar hatlarıdır. Birhaberleşme aracı olarak ortaya çıkan WhatsApp uygulaması, kişilerin sesleriniduyurabilme potansiyeli nedeniyle yurttaş gazeteciliğinin araçlarından birisihaline gelmiştir. Söz konusu uygulama ile bireyler şahit oldukları bir olayaait görüntüleri haber merkezlerine ulaştırdıkları gibi yaşadıkları bir mağduriyetide haber merkezlerine iletebilmektedirler. Böylelikle, haber profesyonellerinindışındaki bireyler de haber süreçlerinde aktör olarak ortaya çıkmaktadırlar. Buçalışma, 2016 yılının Ekim ayında en çok reyting alan üç ana haber bültenininon (10) günlük zaman aralığındaki haberlerini analiz ederek WhatsApp ihbarhatlarının ana haber bültenlerine etkisini ölçmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ayrıca,WhatsApp ihbar hattına gelen haberlerinin içerik analizini yaparak söz konusuetkinin nicel boyutunun yanı sıra, nitel boyutunu da açıklamayıhedeflemektedir. Yapılan bu analiz yalnızca yurttaş gazeteciliğinin ana haber bültenlerineetkisini ortaya koymakla kalmayıp medya-toplum ilişkisi üzerine de saptamalaryapma imkânı vermektedir.

It is shown that chitotriosidase (CHIT-1) is a marker of macrophage activity in atherosclerotic plaque, and is found associated with severity of atherosclerotic lesion. There is no data about CHIT-1 activity of hemodialysis patients in the literature. Thus, we hypothesized that in hemodialysis patients, CHIT-1 levels might be a novel biomarker in early atherosclerosis. Methods: Forty-five hemodialysis patients were included in the study (age: 61.93 +/- 613.34). Intima media thickness (IMT) was evaluated with high-resolution B-mode ultrasonography. Biomarker levels were measured in serum of patients. Findings: We found positive correlation among IMT, age (R: 0.426, P: 0.004) and, CHIT-1 value (R: 0.462, P: 0.001) in spearman correlation analysis. When age, CRP, creatinine, P, Alb, CHIT-1 were chosen as measures that can effect IMT in multiple regression model, IMT level was related with CHIT-1 (Beta: 0,396, P: 0.012) and age (Beta: 0,313 P: 0,048) independently. Discussion: In conclusion, this is the first report showing that serum CHIT-1 level was related independently with carotid IMT in hemodialysis patients. This biomarker might have an unknown role in the development of atherosclerosis during uremia. Kadro Dergisi, 1929 Buhranı sonrası dönemde, 1932 ile 1935 yılları arasında otuz altı sayı çıkmış bir fikir dergisidir. Kadro Dergisini çıkaran ekip Kadro Hareketi olarak anılmaktadır. Türk inkılâbına ideoloji üretme iddiasıyla ortaya çıkan dergi, Batı'ya ilişkin olarak o güne kadar rejimin benimsediğinden farklı görüşler ortaya koymuştur. Bu çalışma, Türk siyasal yaşamında oldukça bir yere sahip olan Kadro Hareketinin Batı algısını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Hareketin batıya olan bakış açısının tespiti; Kadrocu yazarların Batıyı siyasal, ekonomik ve kültürel anlamda ele aldıkları makalelerinin çözümlemesine dayanmaktadır. Türk siyasal hayatında önemli bir başlık olan Batı ile ilişkilere farklı bir perspektif getiren Kadrocular, günümüzde de önemini korumaktadır. This work aims to exhibit the Western perception of Kadro Movement what had a significant place in Turkish political life. The examination of Western perception of Kadro Journal is based on analysis of Kadro authors' articles what evaluated the West in terms of political, economic and cultural sides. Sialolithiasis is a common disease of the major salivary glands and frequently seen in the submandibular gland but rarely seen in the sublingual gland. It affects 12 out of 1000 in the adult population with a male/female ratio of 2/1. Sialolithiasis is a common etiology of salivary gland obstruction, causing recurrent painful swelling (especially while eating) and dysphagia can be present in extended lesions. With regard to the literature, large sublingual sialoliths have rarely been reported. Our aim is to review the literature and report a case of a 41-year-old woman, who presented due to a sialolith in the sublingual gland measuring 23 mm in length, with review of the various available diagnostic modalities and treatment options., Tükrük bezi taşı majör tükrük bezlerinin yaygın bir hastalığıdır ve sıklıkla submandibular bezde fakat nadiren sublingual bezde görülür. 2/1 erkek/kadın oranıyla birlikte erişkin popülasyonun 1000'de 12'sini etkiler. Tükrük bezi taşı, özellikle yemek sırasında tekrarlayan ağrılı şişkinliklere sebep olarak tükrük bezi tıkanıklığının yaygın bir nedenidir ve disfaji geniş lezyonlarda görülebilir. Literatürde büyük sublingual tükrük bezi taşı nadiren rapor edilmiştir. Amacımız, mevcut tanı usulleri ve tedavi seçeneklerini gözden geçirerek, 23cm uzunluğunda ölçülen sublingual tükrük bezi taşı için sunulan 41 yaşında bayan hasta olgusunu rapor etmektir.
