1. Holographic Schwinger effect in anisotropic media

Abstract: Abstract According to gauge/gravity correspondence, we study the holographic Schwinger effect within an anisotropic background. Firstly, the separate length of the particle–antiparticle pairs is computed within the context of an anisotropic background which is parameterized by dynamical exponent $$\nu $$ ν . It is found that the maximum separate length x increases with the increase of dynamical exponent $$\nu $$ ν . By analyzing the potential energy, we find that the potential barrier increases with the dynamical exponent $$\nu $$ ν at a small separate distance. This observation implies that the Schwinger effect within an anisotropic background is comparatively weaker when contrasted with its manifestation in an isotropic background. Finally, we also find that the Schwinger effect in the transverse direction is weakened compared to the parallel direction in the anisotropic background, which is consistent with the top-down model.

2. Charmoniumlike tetraquarks in a chiral quark model

Abstract: Abstract The lowest-lying charmonium-like tetraquarks $$c{\bar{c}}q{\bar{q}}$$ c c ¯ q q ¯ $$(q=u,\,d)$$ ( q = u , d ) and $$c{\bar{c}}s{\bar{s}}$$ c c ¯ s s ¯ , with spin-parity $$J^P=0^+$$ J P = 0 + , $$1^+$$ 1 + and $$2^+$$ 2 + , and isospin $$I=0$$ I = 0 and 1, are systematically investigated within the theoretical framework of complex-scaling range for a chiral quark model that has already been successfully applied in former studies of various tetra- and penta-quark systems. A four-body S-wave configuration which includes meson–meson, diquark–antidiquark and K-type arrangements of quarks, along with all possible color wave functions, is comprehensively considered. Several narrow resonances are obtained in each tetraquark channel when a fully coupled-channel computation is performed. We tentatively assign theoretical states to experimentally reported charmonium-like signals such as X(3872), $$Z_c(3900)$$ Z c ( 3900 ) , X(3960), X(4350), X(4685) and X(4700). They can be well identified as hadronic molecules; however, other exotic components which involve, for instance, hidden-color channels or diquark–antidiquark structures play a considerable role. Meanwhile, two resonances are obtained at 4.04 GeV and 4.14 GeV which may be compatible with experimental data in the energy interval 4.0–4.2 GeV. Furthermore, the X(3940) and X(4630) may be identified as color compact tetraquark resonances. Finally, we also find few resonance states in the energy interval from 4.5 to 5.0 GeV, which would be awaiting for discovery in future experiments.

3. Is $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) a compact hexaquark state?

Abstract: Abstract The most fascinating dibaryon in the non-strange quark sector is $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) , which was reported by WASA-at-COSY Collaboration and confirmed by A2@MAMI Collaboration. The reported mass and decay width are $$M\approx 2.37$$ M ≈ 2.37 GeV, $$\Gamma \approx 70$$ Γ ≈ 70 MeV and the quantum numbers are $$IJ^P=03^+$$ I J P = 03 + . The structure of $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) is still in controversy. In the present calculation, the powerful method in few-body system, Gaussian expansion method (GEM) is employed to explore the structure of $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) in the framework of constituent quark models without assuming the presupposed structure. The results show that the radius of $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) is around 0.8 fm, it is a very compact object. Because of the compact structure, the color singlet-singlet component has a large overlap with the color octet-octet one, two colorless, large overlapped $$\Delta $$ Δ s dominate the state is possible.

4. Prediction of charmed-bottom pentaquarks in quark model

Abstract: Abstract Inspired by the fully heavy tetraquark states reported by the LHCb, ATLAS and CMS Collaborations, we perform a systematical investigation of the low-lying fully heavy pentaquark systems composed of charm and bottom quarks (anti-quark) in the chiral quark model. With the help of the channel-coupling, we obtain several fully heavy pentaquark candidates, which are $$cccc\bar{b}$$ c c c c b ¯ and $$bbbb\bar{c}$$ b b b b c ¯ systems with $$J^P = 1/2^-$$ J P = 1 / 2 - and $$3/2^-$$ 3 / 2 - , $$cccb\bar{c}$$ c c c b c ¯ , $$bbbc\bar{b}$$ b b b c b ¯ , $$cccb\bar{b}$$ c c c b b ¯ and $$bbbc\bar{c}$$ b b b c c ¯ systems with $$J^P = 5/2^-$$ J P = 5 / 2 - . The binding energies of these states are all below 10 MeV and the root mean square (RMS) are around 1.8 fm, which indicates that these states are likely to be molecular states. These predicted exotic states may provide new ideas for experimental searches and we expect more experimental and theoretical researches to study and understand the fully heavy states in future.

5. Pentaquark interpretation of $$\Lambda _{c}$$ Λ c states in the quark model

Abstract: Abstract Motivated by the recent observation of the $$\Lambda _c(2910)^+$$ Λ c ( 2910 ) + state in the $$\Sigma _{c}(2455)^{0,++}\pi ^{\pm }$$ Σ c ( 2455 ) 0 , + + π ± spectrum by the Belle Collaboration, we investigate the explanation of $$\Lambda _{c}$$ Λ c states within the pentaquark framework using the quark delocalization color screening model (QDCSM). To check for bound states and resonance states, we utilize the real-scaling method. Additionally, we calculate the root mean square of cluster spacing to study the structure of the states and further estimate whether a state is a resonance state or not. Our numerical results show that $$\Lambda _{c}(2910)$$ Λ c ( 2910 ) cannot be interpreted as a molecular state, and $$\Sigma _{c}(2800)$$ Σ c ( 2800 ) cannot be explained as the ND molecular state with $$J^P=1/2^-$$ J P = 1 / 2 - . However, we find that $$\Lambda _{c}(2595)$$ Λ c ( 2595 ) can be interpreted as a molecular state with $$J^P=\frac{1}{2}^-$$ J P = 1 2 - , where the main component is $$\Sigma _{c}\pi $$ Σ c π . Similarly, we interpret $$\Lambda _{c}(2625)$$ Λ c ( 2625 ) as a molecular state with $$J^P=\frac{3}{2}^-$$ J P = 3 2 - , where the main component is $$\Sigma _{c}^{*}\pi $$ Σ c ∗ π . We also suggest that $$\Lambda _{c}(2940)$$ Λ c ( 2940 ) is likely to be interpreted as a molecular state with $$J^P=3/2^-$$ J P = 3 / 2 - , where the main component is $$ND^{*}$$ N D ∗ . In addition, we predict two new states: a $$J^P=3/2^-$$ J P = 3 / 2 - $$\Sigma _{c}\rho $$ Σ c ρ resonance state with a mass of 3140–3142 MeV, and a $$J^P=\frac{5}{2}^-$$ J P = 5 2 - $$\Sigma _{c}^*\rho $$ Σ c ∗ ρ state with a mass about 3187–3188 MeV.

6. Hidden-Charm Pentaquarks with Strangeness in a Chiral Quark Model

Abstract: The LHCb collaboration has recently announced the discovery of two hidden-charm pentaquark states with strange quark content, Pcs(4338) and Pcs(4459); its analysis points towards having both hadrons’ isospins equal to zero and spin-parity quantum numbers 12− and 32−, respectively. Herein, we perform a systematical investigation of the qqscc¯(q=u,d) system by means of a chiral quark model, along with a highly accurate computational method, the Gaussian expansion approach combined with the complex scaling technique. baryon-meson configurations in both singlet- and hidden-color channels are considered. The Pcs(4338) and Pcs(4459) signals can be well identified as molecular bound states with dominant components ΛJ/ψ(60%) and ΞcD(23%) for the lowest-energy case and ΞcD∗(72%) for the highest-energy one. In addition, it seems that some narrow resonances can also be found in each allowed I(JP) channel in the energy region of 4.6–5.5 GeV, except for the 1(12−) channel where a shallow bound state with dominant Ξc∗D∗ structure is obtained at 4673 MeV with binding energy EB=−3 MeV. These exotic states are expected to be confirmed in future high-energy experiments.

Abstract: Abstract The existence of fully heavy dibaryons $$\varOmega _{ccc}\varOmega _{bbb}$$ Ω ccc Ω bbb , $$\varOmega _{ccb}\varOmega _{bbc}$$ Ω ccb Ω bbc , $$\varOmega _{ccc}\varOmega _{ccc}$$ Ω ccc Ω ccc , and $$\varOmega _{bbb}\varOmega _{bbb}$$ Ω bbb Ω bbb with $$J=0,~1,~2,~3$$ J = 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 and $$P=\pm 1$$ P = ± 1 are investigated in the framework of a constituent quark model with the help of the resonating group method. The dibaryon composed of six c or b quarks with $$J^{P}=0^{+}$$ J P = 0 + is able to be bound, because the requirement for antisymmetrization between the same baryon clusters introduces an attractive interaction between two fully heavy baryons. Although it is difficult for the dibaryon with the color-singlet type $$\varOmega _{ccc}\varOmega _{bbb}$$ Ω ccc Ω bbb to form any bound state, it is possible for the $$\varOmega _{ccb}\varOmega _{bbc}$$ Ω ccb Ω bbc state to be bound. The channel coupling of all channels of both $$\varOmega _{ccb}\varOmega _{bbc}$$ Ω ccb Ω bbc and $$\varOmega _{ccc}\varOmega _{bbb}$$ Ω ccc Ω bbb structures leads to the bound conclusion of this fully heavy system composed of three c quarks and three b quarks.

8. Investigating Fully Strange Tetraquark System with Positive Parity in a Chiral Quark Model

Abstract: Motivated by the intriguing discovery of X(6900) by the LHCb collaboration, we undertake a comprehensive study of the ss¯ss¯ tetraquark system with positive parity, employing the Gaussian expansion within the chiral quark model method. We consider two structures, the diquark–antidiquark (ss-s¯s¯) structure and meson–meson (ss¯-ss¯) structure, covering all conceivable color and spin configurations. Despite the absence of bound states in our calculations, we have identified potential resonant states with JP=0+, namely, R(0,2150) and R(0,2915), as well as a resonant state with JP=1+, denoted as R(1,2950), and a resonant state with JP=2+, denoted as R(2,2850), utilizing the real-scaling method. By comparing their energies and widths, we suggest that R(0,2915) and R(1,2950) may share characteristics with X(6900), while R(0,2150) could be a promising candidate for the experimental state f0(2100). We strongly advocate for experimental investigations to shed light on the existence and properties of these resonant states.

9. Investigation of hidden-charm pentaquarks with strangeness $$S=-1$$ S = - 1

Abstract: Abstract Recently, a new hidden-charm pentaquark state $$P_{cs}(4459)$$ P cs ( 4459 ) was reported by the LHCb Collaboration. Stimulated by the fact that all hidden-charm pentaquark states in $$S=0$$ S = 0 systems were successfully studied by the chiral quark model, we extended this study to the $$S=-1$$ S = - 1 systems. All possible states with quantum numbers $$IJ^P=0(\frac{1}{2})^-$$ I J P = 0 ( 1 2 ) - , $$0(\frac{3}{2})^-$$ 0 ( 3 2 ) - , $$0(\frac{5}{2})^-$$ 0 ( 5 2 ) - , $$1(\frac{1}{2})^-$$ 1 ( 1 2 ) - , $$1(\frac{3}{2})^-$$ 1 ( 3 2 ) - and $$1(\frac{5}{2})^-$$ 1 ( 5 2 ) - have been investigated. The calculation results shows that the newly observed state $$P_{cs}(4459)$$ P cs ( 4459 ) can be explained as $$\Xi _c \bar{D}^*$$ Ξ c D ¯ ∗ molecular state and the quantum numbers are $$0(\frac{1}{2})^-$$ 0 ( 1 2 ) - . In addition, we also find other molecular states $$\Xi _c \bar{D}$$ Ξ c D ¯ , $$\Xi _c^* \bar{D}$$ Ξ c ∗ D ¯ and $$\Xi _c' \bar{D}^*$$ Ξ c ′ D ¯ ∗ . It is worth mentioning that $$\Xi _c \bar{D}^*$$ Ξ c D ¯ ∗ can form a two-peak structure from states in system $$0(\frac{1}{2})^-$$ 0 ( 1 2 ) - and $$0(\frac{3}{2})^-$$ 0 ( 3 2 ) - . The decay width of all molecular states is given with the help of real scaling method. These hidden-charm pentaquark states is expected to be further verified in future experiments.

10. Strange hidden-charm tetraquarks in constituent quark model

Abstract: Abstract In the framework of the chiral quark model (ChQM), we systematically investigate the strange hidden-charm tetraquark systems $$cs{\bar{c}}{\bar{u}}$$ c s c ¯ u ¯ with two structures: $$q{\bar{q}}-q{\bar{q}}$$ q q ¯ - q q ¯ and $$qq-{\bar{q}}{\bar{q}}$$ q q - q ¯ q ¯ . The bound-state calculation shows that there is no any bound state in present work, which excludes the molecular state explanation ( $$D^{0}D_{s}^{*-}/D^{*0}D_{s}^{-}/D^{*0}D_{s}^{*-}$$ D 0 D s ∗ - / D ∗ 0 D s - / D ∗ 0 D s ∗ - ) of the reported $$Z_{cs}(3985)^{-}$$ Z cs ( 3985 ) - or $$Z_{cs}(4000)^{+}$$ Z cs ( 4000 ) + . However, the effective potentials for the $$cs-{\bar{c}}{\bar{u}}$$ c s - c ¯ u ¯ systems show the possibility of some resonance states. By applying a stabilization calculation and coupling all channels of both two structures, two new resonance states are obtained, which are the $$IJ^{P}=\frac{1}{2} 0^{+}$$ I J P = 1 2 0 + state with the energy around 4111–4116 MeV and the $$IJ^{P} =\frac{1}{2} 1^{+}$$ I J P = 1 2 1 + state with energy around 4113–4119 MeV, respectively. Both of them are worthy of search in future experiments. Our results show that the coupling calculation between the bound channels and open channels is indispensable to provide the necessary information for experiments to search for exotic hadron states.

Two structures, the meson–meson and diquark–antidiquark structures, as well as the channel-coupling of all channels of these two configurations are considered in this work. The numerical results indicate that the molecular bound state $$D^{-}_{s}D_{s}^{+}$$ D s - D s + with $$J^{PC}=00^{++}$$ J PC = 00 + + can be supposed to explain the $$\chi _{c0}(3930)$$ χ c 0 ( 3930 ) . Besides, by using the stabilization method, several resonant states are obtained. Among these states, X(4350), X(4500) and X(4700) can be explained as the compact tetraquark states with $$J^{PC}=00^{++}$$ J PC = 00 + + , and the X(4274) is possible to be a candidate of the compact tetraquark state with $$J^{PC}=1^{++}$$ J PC = 1 + + . Apart from that, the $$J^{PC}=0^{++}$$ J PC = 0 + + resonance state with energy range 4028–4033 MeV, the two $$J^{PC}=2^{++}$$ J PC = 2 + + resonance states with energy range of 4394–4448 MeV and 4526–4536 MeV are possible to be new exotic states, which are indeed worthy of attention. More experimental tests are expected to check the existence of all these possible resonance states.

12. Tetraquarks and Pentaquarks from Quark Model Perspective

Abstract: According to the classification of the quark model, the hadrons going beyond three-quark baryon and quark-antiquark meson pictures are called exotic hadrons. Many new hadrons have been observed since 2003, some of which exhibit exotic behaviors. There are a lot of excellent review articles on exotic hadrons available so far; the present article tries to focus on the recent experimental and theoretical progress on the exotic states from the perspective of the quark model. Although lattice quantum chromodynamics may give the final answer of the problem, the phenomenological models are still powerful tools to explore the exotic states and to provide insight on the phenomenology of hadrons. The spatial and color structures of multiquark states and the channel coupling calculation are emphasized through reviewing some bound states, molecular and color structure resonances. Finally, the unquench effects of some exotic states are reviewed. With the accumulation of experimental data on multiquark states and inspiration of underlying theory developments, more reasonable phenomenological models incorporating multi-body interactions and high Fock components to unify the description of normal hadrons and exotic hadrons are expectable.

13. Study of Hidden-Charm and Hidden-Bottom Pentaquark Resonances in the Quark Model

Abstract: Inspired by the LHCb observation of hidden-charm pentaquarks, i.e., Pc(4312), Pc(4440), and Pc(4457) in the J/ψp invariant mass spectrum, a calculation of the J/ψp scattering cross-section was performed using the quark-delocalization color screening model. The results show that Pc(4312) can be identified as a hidden-charm molecular state ΣcD with JP=12−. The two-peak structure can be reproduced around 4450 MeV, which corresponds to Pc(4440) and Pc(4457). They are the resonances molecular states ΣcD* of JP=12− and JP=32−. Moreover, the Σc*D* of both JP=12− and JP=32− are possible molecular pentaquarks. Moreover, in the same theoretical frame, the calculation is extended to the Pc-like molecular pentaquarks, denoted as Pb. Several hidden-bottom pentaquarks with masses above 11 GeV and narrow widths were obtained. All of these heavy pentaquarks are worth exploring in future experiments.

14. Investigation of $$\varXi _c^0$$ Ξ c 0 in a chiral quark model

In this work, we use a chiral quark model to investigate these three exited states with the help of Gaussian expansion method both in three-quark structure and in five-quark structure with all possible quantum numbers $$IJ^P=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2})^-$$ I J P = 1 2 ( 1 2 ) - , $$\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2})^-$$ 1 2 ( 3 2 ) - , $$\frac{1}{2}(\frac{5}{2})^-$$ 1 2 ( 5 2 ) - , $$\frac{3}{2}(\frac{1}{2})^-$$ 3 2 ( 1 2 ) - , $$\frac{3}{2}(\frac{3}{2})^-$$ 3 2 ( 3 2 ) - and $$\frac{3}{2}(\frac{5}{2})^-$$ 3 2 ( 5 2 ) - . The calculations shows that the masses of 2S and 1D states of $$\varXi _c$$ Ξ c are comparable to experimental results; In addition, the resonance states of five-quark configuration are possible candidates of these new states with negative parity by using the real scaling method and their decay width is also given.

15. Investigating tetraquarks composed of $$us\bar{d}\bar{b}$$ usd¯b¯ and $$ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$$ uds¯b¯

Abstract: Abstract In the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model, we investigate tetraquarks composed of $$us\bar{d}\bar{b}$$ usd¯b¯ and $$ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$$ uds¯b¯ in two structures: meson-meson structure and diquark–antidiquark structure. Neither bound state nor resonance state is found in the system composed of $$us\bar{d}\bar{b}$$ usd¯b¯ . The reported X(5568) cannot be explained as a molecular state or a diquark–antidiquark resonance of $$us\bar{d}\bar{b}$$ usd¯b¯ in present calculation. However, two bound states of the diquark–antidiquark structure are obtained in the tetraquarks system composed of $$ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$$ uds¯b¯ : an $$IJ=00$$ IJ=00 state with the mass of 5701 MeV, and an $$IJ=01$$ IJ=01 state with the mass of 5756 MeV, which maybe the better tetraquark states with four different flavors. Our results indicate that the diquark–antidiquark configuration would be a good choice for the tetraquarks $$ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$$ uds¯b¯ with quantum numbers $$IJ=00$$ IJ=00 and $$IJ=01$$ IJ=01 . The tetraquarks composed of $$ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$$ uds¯b¯ is more possible to form bound states than the one composed of $$us\bar{d}\bar{b}$$ usd¯b¯ . Abstract: Abstract The possible neutral $$D^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$$ D ( ∗ ) D ¯ ( ∗ ) and $$B^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)}$$ B ( ∗ ) B ¯ ( ∗ ) molecular states are studied in the framework of the constituent quark models, which is extended by including the s-channel one-gluon exchange. Using different types of quark–quark potentials, we solve the four-body Schrödinger equation by means of the Gaussian expansion method. The bound states of $$D^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$$ D ( ∗ ) D ¯ ( ∗ ) with $$J^{PC}=1^{++},2^{++}$$ J P C = 1 + + , 2 + + and $$B^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)}$$ B ( ∗ ) B ¯ ( ∗ ) with $$J^{PC}=0^{++},1^{+-},1^{++},2^{++}$$ J P C = 0 + + , 1 + - , 1 + + , 2 + + are obtained. The molecular states $$D^{*}\bar{D}$$ D ∗ D ¯ with $$J^{PC}=1^{++}$$ J P C = 1 + + and $$B^{*}\bar{B}$$ B ∗ B ¯ with $$J^{PC}=1^{+-}$$ J P C = 1 + - are good candidates for X(3872) and $$Z^0_b(10610)$$ Z b 0 ( 10610 ) , respectively. The dependence of the results on the model parameters is also discussed.

17. Tetra- and Penta-Quark Structures in the Constituent Quark Model

Abstract: With the development of high energy physics experiments, a large amount of exotic states in the hadronic sector have been observed. In order to shed some light on the nature of the tetraquark and pentaquark candidates, a constituent quark model, along with the Gaussian expansion method, has been employed systematically in real- and complex-range investigations. We review herein the double- and fully-heavy tetraquarks, but also the hidden-charm, hidden-bottom and doubly charmed pentaquarks. Several exotic hadrons observed experimentally were well reproduced within our approach; moreover, their possible compositeness and other properties, such as their decay widths and general patterns in the spectrum, are analyzed. Besides, we report also some theoretical predictions of tetra- and penta-quark states which have not seen by experiment yet.

18. Study of Hidden-Charm and Hidden-Bottom Pentaquark Resonances in the Quark Model

Abstract: Inspired by the LHCb observation of hidden-charm pentaquarks, i.e., Pc(4312), Pc(4440), and Pc(4457) in the J/ψp invariant mass spectrum, a calculation of the J/ψp scattering cross-section was performed using the quark-delocalization color screening model. The results show that Pc(4312) can be identified as a hidden-charm molecular state ΣcD with JP=12−. The two-peak structure can be reproduced around 4450 MeV, which corresponds to Pc(4440) and Pc(4457). They are the resonances molecular states ΣcD* of JP=12− and JP=32−. Moreover, the Σc*D* of both JP=12− and JP=32− are possible molecular pentaquarks. Moreover, in the same theoretical frame, the calculation is extended to the Pc-like molecular pentaquarks, denoted as Pb. Several hidden-bottom pentaquarks with masses above 11 GeV and narrow widths were obtained. All of these heavy pentaquarks are worth exploring in future experiments.

20. Possible triply heavy tetraquark states in a chiral quark model

Abstract: In the present work, the triply heavy tetraquarks states QQQ¯q¯ with Q=(c,b) and q=(u,d,s) with all possible quantum numbers are systematically investigated in the framework of the chiral quark model with the resonating ground method. Two kinds of structures, including the meson-meson configuration (the color-singlet channels and the hidden-color channels) and the diquark-antidiquark configuration (the color sextet-antisextet and the color triplet-antitriplet), are considered. In the considered system, several bound states are obtained for the ccc¯q′¯, bbc¯q′¯, and bcc¯q¯ tetraquarks. From the present estimations, we find that the coupled-channel effect is of great significance for forming below-threshold tetraquark states, which are stable for strong decays.

Abstract: Lepton scattering is an established ideal tool for studying inner structure of small particles such as nucleons as well as nuclei. As a future high energy nuclear physics project, an Electron-ion collider in China (EicC) has been proposed. It will be constructed based on an upgraded heavy-ion accelerator, High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) which is currently under construction, together with a new electron ring. The proposed collider will provide highly polarized electrons (with a polarization of $\sim$80%) and protons (with a polarization of $\sim$70%) with variable center of mass energies from 15 to 20 GeV and the luminosity of (2-3) $\times$ 10$^{33}$ cm$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$. Polarized deuterons and Helium-3, as well as unpolarized ion beams from Carbon to Uranium, will be also available at the EicC. The main foci of the EicC will be precision measurements of the structure of the nucleon in the sea quark region, including 3D tomography of nucleon; the partonic structure of nuclei and the parton interaction with the nuclear environment; the exotic states, especially those with heavy flavor quark contents. In addition, issues fundamental to understanding the origin of mass could be addressed by measurements of heavy quarkonia near-threshold production at the EicC. In order to achieve the above-mentioned physics goals, a hermetical detector system will be constructed with cutting-edge technologies. This document is the result of collective contributions and valuable inputs from experts across the globe. The EicC physics program complements the ongoing scientific programs at the Jefferson Laboratory and the future EIC project in the United States. Abstract: Inspired by the recent observation of $\chi_{c0}(3930)$, $X(4685)$ and $X(4630)$ by the LHCb Collaboration and some exotic resonances such as $X(4350)$, $X(4500)$, etc. by several experiment collaborations, the $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark systems with $IJ^{P}=00^+$, $01^+$ and $02^+$ are systematically investigated in the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model(QDCSM). Two structures, the meson-meson and diquark-antidiquark structures, as well as the channel-coupling of all channels of these two configurations are considered in this work. The numerical results indicate that the molecular bound state $\bar{D}_{s}D_{s}$ with $IJ^{P}=00^+$ can be supposed to explain the $\chi_{c0}(3930)$. Besides, by using the stabilization method, several resonant states are obtained. There are four $IJ^{P}=00^{+}$ states around the resonance mass 4035 MeV, 4385 MeV, 4524 MeV, and 4632 MeV, respectively; one $IJ^{P}=01^{+}$ state around the resonance mass 4327 MeV; and two $IJ^{P}=02^{+}$ states around the resonance mass 4419 MeV and 4526 MeV, respectively. All of them are compact tetraquarks. Among these states, $X(4350)$, $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ can be explained as the compact tetraquark state with $IJ^{P}=00^{+}$, and the $X(4274)$ is possible to be a candidate of the compact tetraquark state with $IJ^{P}=01^{+}$. 23. Kaon generalized parton distributions and light-front wave functions in the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model

Abstract: Kaon generalized parton distributions (GPDs) and the leading Fock state light-front wave functions are investigated in the framework of Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model with proper time regularization. In addition, we compared the form factors, parton distribution functions, and generalized form factors obtained from them, respectively. The first Mellin moments of GPDs result in the form factors of local currents. The second Mellin moments of vector GPDs are related to gravitational form factors, the quark mass distribution $$\theta _2$$ θ 2 and the quark pressure distribution $$\theta _1$$ θ 1 . When taking a Fourier transform of GPDs in impact parameter space, we can get the mean-squared impact parameter for the quarks of the kaon: $$\langle {\varvec{b}}_{\bot }^2\rangle _K^u=0.149$$ ⟨ b ⊥ 2 ⟩ K u = 0.149 fm$$^2$$ 2 , $$\langle {\varvec{b}}_{\bot }^2\rangle _K^s=0.088$$ ⟨ b ⊥ 2 ⟩ K s = 0.088 fm$$^2$$ 2 . This means that the kaon s quark is nearer to the center of transverse momentum than the u quark. We also give the light-cone energy radius for the quarks of the kaon from the mass distribution $$\theta _2$$ θ 2 : $$r_{E,LC}^{u,K}=0.187 $$ r E , L C u , K = 0.187 fm, $$ r_{E,LC}^{s,K}=0.167$$ r E , L C s , K = 0.167 fm, and the light-cone charge radius from quark form factors of the kaon: $$r_{c,LC}^{u,K}=0.390 $$ r c , L C u , K = 0.390 fm, $$r_{c,LC}^{s,K}=0.296 $$ r c , L C s , K = 0.296 fm, which means that the s quark has a smaller extent than the u quark. The light-front transverse-spin distributions $$\rho _u^1\left( {\varvec{b}}_{\bot },{\varvec{s}}_{\perp }\right) $$ ρ u 1 b ⊥ , s ⊥ and $$\rho _u^2\left( {\varvec{b}}_{\bot },{\varvec{s}}_{\perp }\right) $$ ρ u 2 b ⊥ , s ⊥ show distortions, the average shift are $$\langle b_{\bot }^y\rangle _1^u=0.116$$ ⟨ b ⊥ y ⟩ 1 u = 0.116 fm and $$\langle b_{\bot }^y\rangle _2^u=0.083$$ ⟨ b ⊥ y ⟩ 2 u = 0.083 fm. On the kinematic domain associated with the valence-quark dominance, the unpolarized Wigner distribution from light-front wave functions is sharply peaked. It extends as the transverse position variable increases in magnitude and has a domain of negative support. Through the comparison of distributions from the two methods, we find that they give the same multi-dimensional mapping of the kaon in the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model.

Abstract: In the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model, we investigate the meson-meson interaction in the fully light four-quark system . The calculation of the effective potentials of all the $S-$wave states shows that for most states the interaction between two vector mesons is attractive; the one between a pseudoscalar meson and a vector meson is repulsive or weakly attractive; and the one between two pseudoscalar mesons is always repulsive. However, there is still some exception. The interaction of the $IJ=00$ $\pi\pi$ channel is attractive, while the one of the $IJ=02$ $\phi\phi$ channel is repulsive. So it is difficult to use the $S-$wave $\phi\phi$ state to explain the $X(2239)$ at present calculation. The $S-$wave $\rho\rho$ states are more likely to be resonance states, which are worthy of investigating in future work. The study of the contribution of each interaction term shows that both the one-gluon exchange and the kinetic energy interaction are important in the interaction between two mesons. The study of the variation of the delocalization parameter indicates that the contribution of the kinetic energy relates to the intermediate-range attraction mechanism in QDCSM, which is achieved by the quark delocalization., Comment: 8 pages, 11 figures

Abstract: The fully-charm and -bottom pentaquarks, \emph{i.e.} $cccc\bar{c}$ and $bbbb\bar{b}$, with spin-parity quantum numbers $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^-$, $\frac{3}{2}^-$ and $\frac{5}{2}^-$, are investigated within a Lattice-QCD inspired quark model, which has already successfully described the recently announced fully-charm tetraquark candidate $X(6900)$, and has also predicted several other fully-heavy tetraquarks. A powerful computational technique, based on the Gaussian expansion method combined with a complex-scaling range approach, is employed to predict, and distinguish, bound, resonance and scattering states of the mentioned five-body system. Both baryon-meson and diquark-diquark-antiquark configurations, along with all of their possible color channels are comprehensively considered. Narrow resonances are obtained in each spin-parity channel for the fully-charm and -bottom systems. 27. Regularization dependence of pion generalized parton distributions

Abstract: Pion generalised parton distributions are calculated within the framework of the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model using different regularization schemes, including the proper time regularization scheme, the three dimensional momentum cutoff scheme, the four dimensional momentum cutoff scheme, and the Pauli-Villars regularization scheme. Furthermore, we check the theoretical constraints of pion generalised parton distributions required by the symmetries of quantum chromodynamics in different regularization schemes. The diagrams of pion parton distribution functions are plotted, in addition, we evaluate the Mellin moments of generalised parton distributions, which related to the electromagnetic and gravitational form factors of pion. Pion generalised parton distributions are continuous but not differential at $x=\pm \,\xi$, when considering the effect of D-term, generalised parton distributions become not continuous at $x=\pm \,\xi$ in all the four regularization schemes. Generalised parton distributions in impact parameter space are considered, the width distribution of $u$ quark in the pion and the mean-squared $\langle \mathbf{b}_{\bot}^2\rangle_{\pi}^u$ are calculated. The light-front transverse-spin distributions are studied, when quark polarized in the light-front-transverse $+\,x$ direction, the transverse-spin density is no longer symmetric around $(b_x=0,b_y=0)$, the peaks shift to $(b_x=0,b_y>0)$, we compare the average transverse shift $\langle b_{\bot}^y\rangle_1^u$ and $\langle b_{\bot}^y\rangle_2^u$ in different regularization schemes. The light-cone energy radius $r_{E,LC}$ and the light-cone charge radius $r_{c,LC}$ are also evaluated, we find that in the proper time regularization scheme the values of these quantities are the largest, in the three dimensional momentum cutoff scheme they are the smallest., Comment: 34 pages, 39 figures

The three independent distribution functions in deep inelastic scattering, $F_1(x)$, $b_1(x)$ and $g_1(x)$, and the Sachs-like charge, magnetic, and quadruple form factors $G_C(t)$, $G_M(t)$ and $G_Q(t)$, which are the first Mellin moments of unpolarized generalized parton distributions are obtained. In addition, the $u$ quark axial vector form factors $\tilde{F}_1^u(t)$ and $\tilde{F}_2^u(t)$ related to the axial currents from the polarized generalized parton distributions are studied. The impact parameter dependent parton distribution functions, which are the two-dimensional Fourier transform of generalized parton distributions are studied, too. Abstract: The low-lying bottomonium-like tetraquarks $b\bar{b}q\bar{q}$ $(q=u,\,d,\,s)$ with spin-parity $J^P=0^+$, $1^+$ and $2^+$, and isospin $I=0,\,1$ or $\frac{1}{2}$, are systematically investigated within the theoretical framework of real- and complex-scaling range of a chiral quark model, which has already been successfully applied in analysis of several multiquark systems. A complete four-body $S$-wave function, which includes meson-meson, diquark-antidiquark and K-type arrangements of quarks, along with all possible color configurations are considered. In the $b\bar{b}q\bar{q}$ $(q=u,\,d)$ tetraquark system, we found resonance states of $B^{(*)} \bar{B}^{(*)}$, $\Upsilon\omega$, $\Upsilon\rho$ and $\eta_b \rho$ nature with all possible $I(J^P)$ quantum numbers. Their masses are generally located in the energy range $11.0-11.3$ GeV and their widths are less than $10$ MeV. In addition, extremely narrow resonances, with two-meson strong decay widths less than $1.5$ MeV, are obtained in both $b\bar{b}u\bar{s}$ and $b\bar{b}s\bar{s}$ tetraquark systems. Particularly, four radial excitations of $\Upsilon K^*$ and $\eta_b K^*$ are found at $\sim11.1$ GeV in $J^P=0^+$, $1^+$ and $2^+$ channels of $b\bar{b}u\bar{s}$ system. 30. Search for doubly heavy dibaryons in the quark delocalization color screening model

Abstract: We perform a systemical investigation of the low-lying doubly-heavy dibaryon systems with strange $S=0$, isospin $I=0$, $1$, $2$ and the angular momentum $J=0$, $1$, $2$, $3$ in the quark delocalization color screening model. We find the effect of channel-coupling cannot be neglected in the study of the multi-quark systems. Due to the heavy flavor symmetry, the results of the doubly-charm and doubly-bottom dibaryon systems are similar with each other. Both of them have three bound states, the quantum numbers of which are $IJ=00$, $IJ=02$ and $IJ=13$, respectively. The energies are $4554$ MeV, $4741$ MeV, and $4969$ MeV respectively for the doubly-charm systems and $11219$ MeV, $11416$ MeV, and $11633$ MeV respectively for the doubly-bottom dibaryon systems. Besides, six resonance states are obtained, which are $IJ=00$ $N\Xi_{cc}$ and $N\Xi_{bb}$ with resonance mass of $4716$ MeV and $11411$ MeV respectively, $IJ=11$ $N\Xi^*_{cc}$ and $N\Xi^*_{bb}$ with resonance mass of $4757$ MeV and $11432$ MeV respectively, and $IJ=12$ $\Sigma_{c}\Sigma^*_{c}$ and $\Sigma_{b}\Sigma^*_{b}$ with resonance mass of $4949$ MeV and $11626$ MeV respectively. All these heavy dibaryons are worth searching for on experiments, although it will be a challenging work., Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures

31. Fully heavy pentaquarks in quark models

Abstract: The fully heavy pentaquarks $cccc\bar{c}$ and $bbbb\bar{b}$ are systematically investigated within the chiral quark model and quark delocalization color screening model. The results are consistent in both two moelds, and the effect of the channel-coupling is crucial for forming a bound state of the fully heavy pentaquark system. Three possible fully heavy pentaquarks are obtained, which are the $cccc\bar{c}$ state with $J^P = 1/2^-$ and the mass of $7891.9 \sim 7892.7$ MeV, the $bbbb\bar{b}$ state with $J^P=1/2^-$ and the mass of $23810.1 \sim 23813.8$ MeV, and the $bbbb\bar{b}$ state with $J^P = 3/2^-$ and the mass of $23748.2 \sim 23752.3$ MeV. 32. Investigation of the bottom analog of the Zcs(3985) state

Abstract: Motivated by the recent discovery of the hidden charm exotic state with strangeness by the BESIII and LHCb Collaborations, we study the $S$ wave strange hidden bottom tetraquark in two kinds of quark models. Both meson-meson and diquark-antidiquark configurations are taken into account. The numerical results indicate that there is no bound state in both quark models. However, several resonance states have been predicted. Three resonance states with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(0^{+})$ are found, the energy ranges of which are $10479\sim 10550$, $10528\sim 10632$, and $10597\sim 10681$ MeV, respectively. Three resonance states with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(1^{+})$ are predicted to be located in $10491\sim 10675$, $10502\sim 10679$, and $10522\sim 10723$ MeV, respectively. Moreover, there also exist a resonance with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(2^{+})$ and the mass is estimated to be $10531\sim 10680$ MeV. All these predicted states in the present work should be accessible for the further experiments in LHCb

Abstract: The hidden-charm tetraquarks with strangeness, $c\bar{c}s\bar{q}$ $(q=u,\,d)$, in $J^P=0^+$, $1^+$ and $2^+$ are systematically investigated in the framework of real- and complex-scaling range of a chiral quark model, whose parameters have been fixed in advance describing hadron, hadron-hadron and multiquark phenomenology. Each tetraquark configuration, compatible with the quantum numbers studied, is taken into account; this includes meson-meson, diquark-antidiquark and K-type arrangements of quarks with all possible color wave functions in four-body sector. Among the different numerical techniques to solve the Schr\"odinger-like 4-body bound state equation, we use a variational method in which the trial wave function is expanded in complex-range Gaussian basis functions, which is characterized by its simplicity and flexibility. This theoretical framework has already been used to study different kinds of multiquark systems, such as the hidden-charm pentaquarks, $P^+_c$, and doubly-charmed tetraquarks, $T^+_{cc}$. The recently reported $Z_{cs}$ states by the BESIII and LHCb collaborations are generally compatible with either compact tetraquark or hadronic molecular resonance configurations in our investigation. Abstract: Using data samples with a total integrated luminosity of $20.1~\rm fb^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the cross section of the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow \pi^+\pi^-\psi(3686)$ is measured at center-of-mass energies between 4.0076 and 4.6984 GeV. The measured cross section is consistent with previous results, but with much improved precision. A fit to the measured energy-dependent cross section, which includes three Breit-Wigner functions and a non-resonant contribution, confirms the existence of the charmonium-like states $Y(4220)$, $Y(4390)$, and $Y(4660)$. This is the first observation of the $Y(4660)$ at the BESIII experiment.

Abstract: In this paper, we use the self-consistent mean field approximation to study the Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) phase transition. In the self-consistent mean field approximation of the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model, a parameter [Formula: see text] is introduced, which reflects the weight of “direct” channel and the “exchange” channel and needs to be determined by experiments (as mentioned in a recent work [T. Zhao, W. Zheng, F. Wang, C.-M. Li, Y. Yan, Y.-F. Huang and H.-S. Zong, Phys. Rev. D 100, 043018 (2019)], the results with [Formula: see text] are in good agreement with astronomical observation data on the latest binary neutron star merging. This indicates that the contribution of “exchange” channel should be considered, and [Formula: see text] is a possible choice). By comparing the results with different parameter [Formula: see text]’s ([Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]), we study the influence of “exchange” channel on the behavior of the solutions of the quark gap equation and the critical point of chiral phase transition. Our results show that the second-order chiral phase turns to the crossover from the chiral limit to the non-chiral limit around [Formula: see text] in the case of [Formula: see text]. The difference of the quark mass with different [Formula: see text]’s mainly occurs in the intermediate temperatures for the different fixed chemical potentials. At zero temperature and the chemical potential [Formula: see text] there will be two solutions (including a meta-stable solution) of gap equation with [Formula: see text], and as [Formula: see text] increases it will be only one solution left (the meta-stable solution will disappear until [Formula: see text]). Besides, the discrepancy of the critical temperature (above which the pseudo-Wigner solution and negative Nambu solution will disappear) in the three cases of [Formula: see text] will become large when the chemical potential increases.

Abstract: The effects of strange quark mass on masses, radii, and tidal deformabilities of strange quark stars are studied via the quasiparticle model that includes the non-perturbative features of QCD in low density region. The constraints of $$M_{\mathrm {TOV}} > 2.0 M_{\odot }$$ M TOV > 2.0 M ⊙ and $$\Lambda _{1.4} < 800$$ Λ 1.4 < 800 are used to choose the EOSs with different strange quark masses. We find that in low density region the EOSs with larger strange quark mass are stiffer, while in high density region they are softer. A larger strange quark mass gives a smaller mass and radius for a strange quark star, and a larger minimum of radii and tidal deformabilities for $$1.4 M_{\odot }$$ 1.4 M ⊙ strange quark stars. A larger strange quark mass also gives a larger lower bound of combined tidal deformability $$\tilde{\Lambda }_{LB}$$ Λ ~ LB .

Abstract: Using a dataset of 6.32 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4178 and 4226 MeV, we have measured the absolute branching fraction of the leptonic decay D_{s}^{+}→τ^{+}ν_{τ} via τ^{+}→e^{+}ν_{e}ν[over ¯]_{τ}, and find B_{D_{s}^{+}→τ^{+}ν_{τ}}=(5.27±0.10±0.12)×10^{-2}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The precision is improved by a factor of 2 compared to the previous best measurement. Combining with f_{D_{s}^{+}} from lattice quantum chromodynamics calculations or the |V_{cs}| from the CKMfitter group, we extract |V_{cs}|=0.978±0.009±0.012 and f_{D_{s}^{+}}=(251.1±2.4±3.0) MeV, respectively. Combining our result with the world averages of B_{D_{s}^{+}→τ^{+}ν_{τ}} and B_{D_{s}^{+}→μ^{+}ν_{μ}}, we obtain the ratio of the branching fractions B_{D_{s}^{+}→τ^{+}ν_{τ}}/B_{D_{s}^{+}→μ^{+}ν_{μ}}=9.72±0.37, which is consistent with the standard model prediction of lepton flavor universality.

Abstract: Journal of high energy physics 2021(10), 177 (2021). doi:10.1007/JHEP10(2021)177, Using a total of 5.25 fb$^{��1}$ of e$^{+}$e$^{��}$ collision data with center-of-mass energies from 4.236 to 4.600 GeV, we report the first observation of the process e$^{+}$e$^{��}$�� (2S) with a statistical significance of 4.9 standard deviations. The data sets were collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. We measure the yield of events integrated over center-of-mass energies and also present the energy dependence of the measured cross section.[graphic not available: see fulltext], Published by SISSA, [Trieste]

Abstract: Using 2.93 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV, the observation of the D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} semileptonic decay is presented. The statistical significance of the decay D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} is greater than 10σ. The branching fraction of D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} is measured to be (1.09±0.13_{-0.16}^{+0.09}±0.12)×10^{-3}. Here, the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third originates from the assumed branching fraction of K_{1}(1270)^{-}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{-}. The fraction of longitudinal polarization in D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} is determined for the first time to be 0.50±0.19_{stat}±0.08_{syst}.

Abstract: Using 2.93 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, we measure the absolute branching fractions of the decays $D^0\to K^-e^+\nu_e$ and $D^+\to \bar K^0 e^+\nu_e$ to be $(3.574\pm0.031_{\rm stat}\pm 0.025_{\rm syst})\%$ and $(8.70\pm0.14_{\rm stat}\pm 0.16_{\rm syst})\%$, respectively. Starting with the process $e^+e^-\to D\bar{D}$, a new reconstruction method is employed to select events that contain candidates for both $D\to \bar Ke^+\nu_e$ and $\bar D\to Ke^-\bar \nu_e$ decays. The branching fractions reported in this work are consistent within uncertainties with previous BESIII measurements that selected events containing $D\to \bar Ke^+\nu_e$ and inclusive hadronic $\bar D$ decays. Combining our results with the lifetimes of the $D^0$ and $D^+$ mesons and the previous BESIII measurements leads to a ratio of the two decay partial widths of $\frac{\bar \Gamma_{D^0\to K^{-}e^+\nu_{e}}}{\bar \Gamma_{D^{+}\to \bar K^{0}e^+\nu_{e}}}=1.040\pm0.021$. This ratio supports isospin symmetry in the $D^0\to K^-e^+\nu_e$ and $D^+\to \bar K^0 e^+\nu_e$ decays within $1.9\sigma$.

Abstract: We report an amplitude analysis and branching fraction measurement of Ds+→K+K−π+ decay using a data sample of 3.19 fb−1 recorded with BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 4.178 GeV. We perform a model-independent partial wave analysis in the low K+K− mass region to determine the K+K− S-wave line shape, followed by an amplitude analysis of our very pure high-statistics sample. With the detection efficiency based on the amplitude analysis results, the absolute branching fraction is measured to be B(Ds+→K+K−π+)=(5.47±0.08stat±0.13sys)%.

Abstract: The Born cross sections are measured for the first time for the processes $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*+}D_{s0}^*(2317)^- +c.c.$ and $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*+}D_{s1}(2460)^- +c.c.$ at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=$ 4.600~GeV, 4.612~GeV, 4.626~GeV, 4.640~GeV, 4.660~GeV, 4.68~GeV, and 4.700~GeV, and for $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*+}D_{s1}(2536)^- +c.c.$ at $\sqrt{s}=$ 4.660~GeV, 4.680~GeV, and 4.700~GeV, using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. No structures are observed in cross-section distributions for any of the processes.
