The growing social gap between people of different generations has led to a greater interest in the study of intergenerational interactions. Digital technologies have become necessary for people of all ages to perform daily activities, increasingly including older people. The use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and virtual tools can provide older people with excellent opportunities to connect with other generations, improving their quality of life and well-being. The aim of this study was to examine the benefits, satisfaction, and limitations of intergenerational interactions generated by the use of virtual tools. The participants are subjects of any age and different social groups residing in Spain and have completed an online survey. The analysis of sociodemographic data of the respondents showed that there is a significant correlation between the use of social networks and all the variables analyzed, except for their level of autonomy. Most participants who participated in intergenerational virtual activities reported the benefits of their social participation, relationships, mood, mental health, and academic education. Moreover, most participants were quite or very satisfied with the person with whom they used the virtual tools, especially if the person was a friend, their partner, sibling, another relative, or colleague. Except for grandparents, people who participated in intergenerational virtual activities and who had no limitations or disabilities were more frequently reported by the participants. In conclusion, intergenerational interactions through the use of virtual tools can contribute to improving the social inclusion and relationships of all people involved.

The prevalence of instrumental and emotional support received was investigated, and several psychosocial characteristics were studied in a Spanish population of all ages (10–85 years) and different social groups, by using an 88-item online questionnaire, with a total of 2013 respondents. Participants reported on the instrumental and emotional supports they receive, and on a set of psychosocial variables (emotion management, motivation, self-efficacy, social and communication skills, and social support), as well as their sociodemographic data; all of which were considered as contributions to a sustainable world. Instrumental and emotional supports for sustainability were significantly less prevalent among older participants, men, people with low educational levels, low autonomy levels, retired individuals, and those with a low-income level. Older and female participants were able to manage their own and other peoples’ emotions significantly more frequently. Participant motivation was less prevalent among the participants with low autonomy levels and low-income levels. Younger participants with low autonomy levels were significantly less able to perform activities related to their self-efficacy. Extreme age groups, those with higher educational levels, singles, and those living alone, reported feeling lonely more often. These results help identify sociocultural characteristics of adults with low social participation, which is critical for developing useful strategies to promote community engagement and related benefits for older adults.

Digital media play a fundamental role in the social, emotional, and cognitive development of adolescents, since they involve a very significant use and investment of time at this age. The objectives of this work are twofold: analyze the use of the Internet and digital devices by Spanish young people outside school, and the time they use them and their attitude towards the use of digital devices, as well as to identify the effects of the use of internet and digital devices on social and interpersonal relationships. The sample is composed of 35,943 students of Compulsory Secondary Education, from different Spanish high schools that participated in the PISA 2018 Report. The data provided by this study confirm the widespread consumption of digital devices. Identified as actions that they carry out every day were: the use of online chat, use of social networks to contact their friends, and surfing the internet for fun. Regarding the attitude towards digital devices, the participants say they feel comfortable using digital devices and discovering new applications or games. However, we also found as one of the most relevant results of this study the fact that participants say they feel bad if they do not have internet connection.

To determine whether or not digital inequalities exist, the frequency, duration, satisfaction, importance, and perceived competence of eighteen groups of digital tools during the COVID-19 pandemic confinement were examined. An online survey was administered to 2882 Latin American university students (49% female; M = 21.3 years). The following items are checked: (1) increased digital inequalities during the pandemic; (2) adequate reliability and validity of the Digital Technology Survey (DTS) instrument; (3) patterns of digital inequalities to the detriment of men, lower strata and unemployed people; and (4) evidence that the importance of digital activities as a causal factor on satisfaction with such digital activities as an outcome is mediated by the purpose of use and communication recipients, but not by strata or employment status, nor moderated by gender. The results are discussed in the light of previous studies, the limitations of the study and future perspectives.

This study examines the efficacy of a MOOC-format instructional program, Improvement of personal competencies for success, which entailed the use of four clearly differentiated instructional approaches (three experimental approaches and one control approach): (1) product, with an emphasis on the final result and the overall quality; (2) processes, with an emphasis on recursion and constant self-assessment of the processes; (3) mixed, oriented on the result and overall quality as well as to recursion, self-reflection and self-assessment; and (4) traditional (control) focused on online instruction of the subjects and on the accomplishment of tasks. The MOOC was designed and implemented through the Universidad de Leon’s external Moodle (Ariadne). It involved 745 people aged between 10 and 50, though only 336 completed it. The results demonstrate the efficacy of the MOOC—irrespective of the instructional approach followed—for instruction on different contents and competencies, such as resilience, achievement motivation and self-esteem; they reveal a statistically significant increase in different variables such as self-efficacy and they confirm the effectiveness of Moodle for the design and development of a MOOC. The implications of these findings are discussed and evaluated.

Se presenta una revisión sistemática de los estudios instruccionales publicados en los últimos cinco años sobre el impacto de los enfoques STEAM en los resultados académicos, mediados por la autoeficacia a través de las bases de datos WOS, Scopus y Frontiers identificando 6495 publicaciones, que, tras el proceso de cribado, idoneidad, se incluyen 8 estudios. Se siguen las cuatro fases de la revisión sistemática sistemática, comenzando con la selección del tema y el diseño del diagrama de términos de búsqueda, aplicación de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, análisis de la calidad de los estudios, y presentación de los resultados cualitativos y graficación del PRISMA. El análisis se centró en tres tipos de indicadores, un análisis general, un análisis de los componentes instruccionales y un análisis de las limitaciones del estudio. Se puede concluir que los enfoques STEAM inciden positivamente en el nivel de autoeficacia del alumnado y por consiguiente se consigue un incremento de los resultados de aprendizaje. Se discute el valor añadido del trabajo, sus implicaciones y aplicaciones, así como las perspectivas futuras y se concretan las conclusiones de la revisión sistemática.

Se presenta una revisión sistemática de los estudios instruccionales publicados en los últimos cinco años sobre el impacto de diferentes técnicas o programas en alumnos con TDAH, mediados por la autorregulación a través de las bases de datos Web Of Science, Scopus y Frontiers identificando 4021 publicaciones, que, tras el proceso de cribado, idoneidad, se incluyen 8 estudios. Se siguen las cuatro fases de la revisión sistemática, de tema y diagrama de términos de búsqueda, criterios de inclusión y exclusión, análisis de la calidad de los estudios, y resultados cualitativos y aportación del PRISMA. El análisis se centró en tres tipos de indicadores, un análisis general, un análisis de los componentes instruccionales y un análisis de las limitaciones del estudio. Se puede concluir que existen técnicas y programas basados en la autorregulación capaces de controlar la conducta de alumnos con TDAH. Se discute el valor añadido del trabajo, sus implicaciones y aplicaciones, así como las perspectivas futuras y se concretan las conclusiones de la revisión sistemática.

The use of vegetation indices to highlight archaeological features from remote sensing (RS) sensors is increasingly in demand, especially due to the possibility of obtaining high-resolution multispectral images with drones. The objective of this work is divided in two steps: i) to test techniques for the semi-automatic identification of crop marks in a study zone, in Salvada, Portugal, and; ii) to develop a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) open-source application, named ArchMarks, under QGIS software, to enhance the identification of archaeological crop marks using RS data/techniques, integrating the automatic creation of indices and the identification techniques tested before. ArchMarks aims to compute several vegetation and soil indices from multispectral imagery considering four bands (Red, Green and Blue and Near InfraRed (NIR)) for enhancing the identification of archaeological crop marks. In order to define the best approach to implement in the plugin, some tests were performed with two algorithms available in QGIS: ContrastEnhancement and WatershedSegmentation. High-resolution aerial imagery (25-50 cm spatial resolution) was obtained from Web Map Service (WMS) services in addition to Sentinel-2 satellite image, whose spatial resolution is of 10 meters in the Red Green Blue-Near InfraRed bands. The application is free and can be adapted to other region of interest. In the future, the plugin will be improved with a methodology to download remote sensing data (aerial images and satellite data) from WMS sources, band stacking, and machine learning algorithms, such as Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, to automatically classify archaeological traces on the vegetation or bare soil.

PISA reports aim both to analyze and describe the educational reality of each country and to assess different academic competences, including digital competence. In this paper, we are committed to the vision of digital literacy as an indispensable element of sustainable education and social concerns, which, together with the environment, the economy, social justice and human rights, form the basis of the concept of sustainability. From this point of view, it is considered that an improvement in digital competence has a positive impact on the use made of ICT and also on its link with sustainable development. The aim of this research is to comparatively analyze the results in terms of literacy itself, digital skills and digital resources and experiences according to the PISA 2018 report in four OECD countries: Spain, Portugal, Colombia and Brazil, specifically, two Latin countries (Brazil and Colombia) and two Hispanic countries (Spain and Portugal), and for the enjoyment in the use of digital devices between one country in each area (Brazil and Spain). The sample is composed of 54,323 participants (18,073 participants from Brazil and Colombia, Latin America, and 36,250 from Spain and Portugal, Iberian Peninsula), using as an instrument the surveys developed and implemented in the PISA 2018 dataset for the OECD sample, which is related to some aspect of digital skills. The main findings of this study confirm that the variables related to digital resources, digital literacy and digital skills are statistically significant in the four countries. Therefore, in view of this, we want to support the promotion of digital competence as a key element in the sustainable, educational and social development of a community. At a pedagogical level, this means that we are committed to different specific programs, innovative educational practices and the creation of resources that promote inclusion and educational quality, focusing on social concerns and the fit of each country and area for promoting sustainable education.

Over the last decades, social isolation and loneliness among older adults have given rise to an increased interest in the study of intergenerational relationships. Intergenerational programs provide a great opportunity for older adults to connect with people of other generations. Many studies have reported the beneficial effects of these programs, improving the mental and physical health of the elderly and contributing to better academic formation and social skills in children. The aim of this study was to examine the benefits, satisfaction, and limitations of the intergenerational interactions derived from the performance of face-to-face activities, such as daily and healthcare activities, educational, cultural and leisure activities, and physical or sport activities. Participants were subjects living in Spain of any age (grouped into three age groups: &lt, 22, 22–40, and &gt, 40 years old) and from different social groups who completed an electronic 88-item questionnaire. The analysis of sociodemographic variables of the survey respondents revealed that people aged 40 or more, with personal autonomy, single or married, and living with a partner and/or other relative, and not retired, performed face-to-face activities with people of other generations with a significantly higher frequency than the rest of the groups for each variable. Most participants who participated in intergenerational face-to-face activities reported benefits to their physical and mental health, mood, relationships, self-determination, social participation, and academic education. Most participants were quite or very satisfied with the person with whom they performed this type of activities, especially if this person was a friend or a close relative. Except for grandparents, people who participated in intergenerational face-to-face activities and who had no limitations or disabilities were more frequently reported by the participants. In conclusion, intergenerational interactions derived from the performance of face-to-face activities can contribute to improve both the physical and mental health, social skills, and relationships of all people involved.

In order to know the different types of joint activities carried out by members of different generations, an online questionnaire was administered to a total of 2013 people. Of these, 608 were men and 1405 women. The questionnaire was designed after a review of the instruments used in the field of intergenerational work in various national and international studies. Online, potential participants were contacted to inform them about the purpose of the study and request their participation. The respondents gave their informed consent to participate in the work. Once the data were extracted and codified, the descriptive analyzes were carried out (tables of frequencies and percentages, means and standard deviations), the results of which are presented below. During the development of this work, funds were received through an aid to finance the predoctoral recruitment of research staff by the Junta de Castilla y León (EDU / 1083/2013), co-financed by the European Social Fund, within the Operational Program of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2014-2020 of Castilla y León.

People’s life experiences largely determine their present. Their identity, their personality, their lifestyle, their interests, their routines, all this is largely determined by events in their life. Despite this, a large part of the research has focused on the study of stressful life events and their impact on physical and mental health. Therefore, the objective of this study is to describe the relationship between life experiences, both favorable and stressful, and different perceptions of quality of life, identifying consequently risk factors and protectors in order to promote active and healthy aging. For this purpose, we designed and administered an online questionnaire, PRAMA, to a sample of 1095 Spanish adults and elderly people. Descriptive and multivariate analyzes were performed using the general linear model. The results show a greater impact of stressful life experiences on the perceived quality of life. In this way, adults and seniors with a lower quality of life experience a greater number of negative emotions derived from these life experiences, to which there are greater effects in the short and medium term and a greater current impact. Likewise, they make greater use of maladaptive strategies such as denial, renunciation and self-criticism, to the detriment of active coping strategies. The results obtained here can contribute to the development of more successful psychological and social actions.

A study was carried out with the purpose of determining the day-to-day practices, positive and stressful life experiences, and psychological profiles that underpin different perceptions of quality of life and perceived satisfaction. A total of 1095 adults and elderly people from Spain participated in the study. An online instrument designed using the tool Google Forms was administered to them. Descriptive and multivariate analysis was performed using the general linear model (GLM). Three types of finding were obtained. First, we identified everyday practices that promote perceived quality of life and perceived satisfaction. Second, we established the relationship between certain positive and stressful life experiences, their consequences, and different perceptions of quality of life and perceived satisfaction. Finally, we identified the distinguishing psychological profiles associated with these constructs. The results obtained here can contribute to the development of more successful psychological and social interventions. They reveal a set of indicators that, based on empirical evidence, should be part of any intervention design.

The need to organise encounters between different generations is growing because solidarity between generations is crucial to ensure a fair society for all ages. However, bringing together different age groups is not enough to create a successful intergenerational dialogue. The content, activities and methods used when very different groups come together, should draw the attention of members of both generations. In this regard, the possibilities that virtual tools offer for the deployment of interventions of this type should be a subject of study. Therefore, this paper presents the evidences obtained in relation to the potential of these new tools to promote the welfare of all those involved in programmes of this type, identifying and analysing the online resources used by them for this purpose. The main results suggest that these interventions offer good opportunities to share the learning on equal terms and to address their coexistence together and in completely new ways. Su morfología y semejanzas decorativas nos permiten plantear una nueva interpretación de las mismas como posibles labra ficitilia —también llamados louteria o alveus—, esto es, recipientes contenedores de agua para su uso en ambientes domésticos. Este estudio se completa con los resultados de varios análisis arqueométricos cuyo fin ha sido estudiar las pastas y el proceso de fabricación de las piezas halladas en Tisosa., [EN]: We present the study of three Roman terracotta fragments. Two of them were located at the site of Tisosa (Sasamón, Burgos), the third artefact was retrieved during the excavations of the villa at Villabermudo (Palencia). The morphological and decorative similarities brought us to present an interpretive hypothesis as labra fictilia, also called louteria or alveus to define water containers for domestic use. This study is complemented with archaeometry research, which provided insightful details of fabric and the manufacturing process of the artefacts located at Tisosa.

Resumen basado en el de la publicación Titulo, resumen, palabras clave en español e ingles Durante los últimos años, en la Educación Superior se siguen empleando enfoques, modelos, estrategias, técnicas y metodologías diversas, pero ¿qué se sabe acerca de la efectividad de estas para la incorporación de la competencia genérica de comprensión lectora avanzada (CLA) en los planes de estudios de las instituciones universitarias? Para ello se plantea este estudio de carácter descriptivo. Este se materializa en el diseño y la aplicación de un cuestionario ad hoc online para evaluar la CLA en Educación Superior, a una muestra accesible de 280 docentes de una universidad latinoamericana de la costa Caribe. Todo ello, mediante el análisis de la enseñanza, evaluación, y utilidad, además del conocimiento e interés en las competencias genéricas. En este sentido, los análisis realizados evidencian patrones diferenciales estadísticamente significativos en el uso de las estrategias instruccionales disponibles, de las técnicas, de los medios empleados y de las herramientas web existentes para garantizar la optimización de la CLA en función del departamento al que están adscritos. [ES]: Desde 2008 hemos desarrollado un amplio programa de investigación en la comarca del Odra-Pisuerga y tierras de Amaya que tiene como objetivo ahondar en los procesos fundamentales que nos permitan conocer el cambio cultural, político, social y económico producido en el paisaje entre la Segunda Edad del Hierro y el final de la época romana. Por su abrumadora riqueza arqueológica, hemos escogido como caso de estudio el área de Sasamón, donde nos encontramos con un oppidum prerromano, algunos indicios de presencia militar romana y una ciudad fundada a inicios del periodo imperial. Habida cuenta del potencial que esta región presentaba para la documentación de estructuras arqueológicas mediante fotografía aérea, llevamos a cabo una campaña de fotografiado y levantamiento fotogramétrico con UAV en primavera de 2019. This initiative aims to better understand the cultural, political, social and economic changes that took place in this landscape between the Late Iron Age and the end of the Roman world. Due to its rich archaeological heritage, we chose the area of Sasamón as a case study, where we can find an indigenous oppidum, evidence of Roman military presence and a city founded at the very beginning of the Roman Imperial periode. Given the potential of this region for the documentation of archaeological structures through aerial photography, we planned a systematic aerial coverage by using UAV in spring 2019. By product, we mean that learning focuses on analysis of performance, execution, success or final results, which can be measured by indicators such as productivity or quantity of ideas. By processes, we mean that learning focuses on the orchestration, dynamics and deployment of the learner's mental process, and other variables that modulate the acquisition of any skills. To this end, we designed and implemented a virtual instructional skills programme as a free university continuing education course delivered online and lasting 75 hours, using a learning management system (LMS), namely the University of Leon's External Moodle, in which 286 people participated. The results indicate that the two virtual approaches designed using the LMS exerted a positive effect on the acquisition of diverse contents, skills and strategies, and an increase was observed in self-efficacy, generalisation, the emotional component, practical application and positive attitudes towards written communication skills.

We live in a society where even the youngest children present many situations of stress, usually provoked by adults, who do not know how to face them. That is why we are interested in investigating the intervention proposals that have been made to work on mindfulness in the classroom for early childhood education. For this purpose, a review of national and international studies in the field of positive psychology has been carried out, which allow to verify the benefits that Mindfulness has on people, specifically, those that demonstrate the usefulness of teaching to practice mindfulness children from early ages. The intervention programs designed, around this construct, contemplate activities in which children are more aware of their own body, their breathing, their emotions, those of their peers, etc .; and, they show that now children, through emotional education, have an effective tool that helps them to face life in a more conscious and full way, which achieve great results for their relationship with themselves and with society. The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between favourable and stressful life experiences and perceived quality of life, practices that promote quality of life, psychological profiles and the daily use of web 2.0 tools in adults and older adults. An online questionnaire was designed, which was administered to 1095 Spanish adults and older adults, and conducted descriptive and multivariate analyses using the general linear model. Our results showed that favourable and stressful life experiences alike were associated with differential patterns in psychological profiles, perceived quality of life and daily activities and practices that affect quality of life, including the use of web 2.0 tools. Favourable life experiences mainly affected psychological profiles and the use of web 2.0 tools, whereas stressful life experiences affected the other factors analysed. Statistically significant differences were not found according to age and gender . These findings have important implications for promoting successful psychological and social interventions.

Con el objetivo de conocer los diferentes tipos de actividades conjuntas realizadas por miembros de distintas generaciones se administró un cuestionario online a un total de 2013 personas. De estos, 608eran hombres y 1405 mujeres. El cuestionario fue diseñado tras una revisión de los instrumentos empleados en el campo de trabajo intergeneracional en diversos estudios nacionales e internacionales. De manera online se estableció contacto con los posibles participantes para informarles sobre el propósito del estudio y solicitar su participación. Los encuestados dieron su consentimiento informado a participar en el trabajo. Una vez extraídos y codificados los datos se realizaron los análisis descriptivos (tablas de frecuencias y porcentajes, medias y desviaciones típicas) cuyos resultados presentamos a continuación. p. 325-336 La proliferación de las herramientas y aplicaciones web sincrónicas, los sistemas de gestión de contenido, los cursos de enseñanza masivos y abiertos y los cambios constantes propios de la denominada sociedad de la información (SI), han conllevado que el principal reto del personal docente universitario sea su capacidad de adaptación e innovación. En este sentido, en la presente comunicación se describe el diseño de un instrumento ad hoc online, EMICOG – versión docente, diseñado a través de la herramienta SurveyMonkey. Con él, se pretenden estudiar las metodologías docentes aplicadas en las diversas asignaturas que imparte el profesorado de la Universidad de la Costa (Colombia), las formas de valoración o evaluación de las actividades transversales efectuadas así como sus prácticas docentes a través del análisis de seis secciones: i) datos de carácter general, ii) técnicas y estrategias instruccionales, iii) recursos utilizados en la evaluación y enseñanza de la asignatura, iv) variables psicoeducativas, v) necesidades formativas, y vi) procesos de enseñanza. Ha sido aplicado a 182 profesores universitarios, con el propósito de estudiar en qué medida estas actuaciones docentes pueden incidir en mejores resultados de competencias genéricas en las pruebas nacionales Saber Pro y en las variables psicoeducativas de los discentes, convirtiéndose pues en un instrumento de potenciación y mejora de la calidad docente y por consiguiente de los resultados académicos, mediante el esclarecimiento y la delimitación de las necesidades formativas, que serán la base de futuros programas/cursos instruccionales de estrategias eficientes para la mejora de la enseñanza y que repercutirán en la obtención de mayores logros académicos. We describe the positive effects that the using of two Web 2.0 tools (blogs and wikis) produce in several psycho-educational variables through the literature review of thirty and two international empirical studies publish in last four years (2010-2013) in impacts journals. The results evidence that the use of blogs and wikis promotes the collaboration, the participation, the social interaction and socialization, at the same time these tools increase the motivation, the satisfaction, the performance and the feedback and this tools favour the developing of critical and creative thinking skills

Vivimos en una sociedad donde hasta los más pequeños presentan muchas situaciones de estrés, casi siempre provocadas por los adultos, que no saben cómo afrontarlas. De aquí el interés de investigar sobre las propuestas de intervención que se han realizado para trabajar la atención plena en el aula de educación infantil. Para ello, se ha realizado una revisión de estudios nacionales e internacionales en el campo de la psicología positiva, que permiten comprobar los beneficios que el Mindfulness tiene sobre las personas, específicamente, aquellos que demuestran la utilidad de enseñar a practicar la atención plena a los niños desde edades tempranas. Los programas de intervención diseñados, en torno a este constructo, contemplan actividades en las que los niños son más conscientes de su propio cuerpo, de su respiración, de sus emociones, de las de sus compañeros, etc.; y, evidencian que ahora los niños, a través de la educación emocional, cuentan con una herramienta eficaz que les ayude a afrontar la vida de una manera más consciente y plena, que consigan grandes resultados para su relación consigo mismo y con la sociedad. Se recibieron fondos a través de una ayuda destinada a financiar la contratación predoctoral de personal investigador por la Junta de Castilla y León (EDU/1083/2013), cofinanciada por el Fondo Social Europeo, dentro del Programa Operativo del Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) 2014-2020 de Castilla y León.

The success of the future of our communities depends largely on how our society organizes learning, integrates knowledge, and promotes collective wisdom and action through the generations. So much so, that the main objective of this paper is to review different studies of intergenerational field, whose analysis will allow us to determine which interventions have a greater rigor and control, in order to be implemented or act as a basis for the development of future programs. To do this, we have carried out the search and selection of those articles published over the last five years, which have been collected by major refereed and indexed journals. The vast majority of the studies reviewed focus on education or health, contributing to improve social behavior and quality of life of the participants. However, as many variables and fundamental aspects of any intergenerational relationship have been obviated, and given that there are significant biases and differences in methodology and procedures from different studies, we wish to continue this research. During this study we have been recipients of an aid to finance the hiring predoctoral research staff, issued to A. Canedo by JCyL, co-financed by the European Social Fund, and led by JN García (EDU / 1083/2013 , 2013).

This research describes and analyses the use made by young Spanish people of Tuenti, Facebook, Twitter and Myspace, exploring several variables: level of functional knowledge; frequency of use; place of use; reason for use; purpose and main activity; recipients of communication; degree of difficulty, satisfaction and preference; and intentions regarding future use. We designed and administered an online questionnaire to 757 students enrolled in secondary education 7th–11th levels and Vocational Education and Training at seven educational centres. The results show that young Spanish people know about and use social networks on a daily basis. Tuenti was the one used with most frequency, followed by Facebook and Twitter. Myspace was the least known and used. Female subjects had a greater functional knowledge of these networks and reported a higher regular use of them. Participants used the social networks in their homes and preferred Tuenti because it is easy to use, allows them to communicate with friends and classmates and provides them with acceptable satisfaction as regards their need for prestige, acceptance and approval through the creation and maintenance of groups of friends and the publication of their achievements and self-realisations. The implications of the results obtained for psychological and social development are discussed.

Purpose of the study: The objective of the present review study is to identify the determinant elements of the effectiveness of empirically based interventions (EBI) in the field of intergenerational work, contrasting face-to-face and combined (face-to-face and virtual) intervention modalities against variables relating to this field according to EBI indicators. Design and Methods: An extensive literature search returned a total of 553 studies. Of these, just 50 studies met the inclusion criteria of being an empirical investigation of the effectiveness of intergenerational programs that contain appropriate elaboration on theoretical constructs and methods. Results: The descriptive and multivariate analysis conducted demonstrates that programs with a greater number of EBI controls have the greatest effectiveness, regardless of the intervention mode employed, and that this effectiveness is also modulated by other variables such as the participants' disabilities, their literacy level, or their membership of an organization. Conclusions: We examined the implications of these findings, noting the need to increase the number of virtual interventions that could improve the efficiency of the activities undertaken, and at the same time ensuring that EBI indicators are also fulfilled.

PROMOTING QUALITY IN WRITTEN COMPOSITIONIn this study we focused our efforts on trying to establish different strategies, instructional techniques and procedures effective and efficient in responding to each and every one of the processes involved in writing. We analyzed fifty empirical studies, recently published, where such strategies were used, as well as a set of virtual tools which, using the same techniques and procedures, provide answers to the different profiles of development and performance in written composition. As a result we could get an idea of the prevalence of strategies based on either typing indicator, and know which of these are being further enhanced through the tools of Web 2.0. García).Keywords: Writing skill, orchestration, writing process, textual product, modulation variables, 2.0 web, virtual tools.Resumen:En este estudio de revisión centramos nuestros esfuerzos en intentar establecer diferentes estrategias, técnicas y procedimientos de instrucción eficaces y eficientes a la hora de responder a todos y cada uno de los procesos implicados en la escritura. Para ello analizamos cincuenta estudios empíricos, de reciente publicación en revistas indexadas con alto índice de impacto, donde se emplearon dichas estrategias, así como herramientas virtuales que haciendo uso de esas mismas técnicas y procedimientos dan respuesta a los distintos perfiles de desarrollo y rendimiento en composición escrita. Como resultado pudimos hacernos una idea de la prevalencia de estrategias en base a uno u otro indicador de escritura, y conocer cuáles de estos están siendo más potenciados a través de las herramientas de la web 2.0. En la actualidad, las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) y las herramientas de la web 2.0 están muy presentes en la Educación Superior. Por ello, en este estudio se analiza el grado de competencia digital que poseen 286 estudiantes universitarios, tras la aplicación de un programa de competencias ocupacionales, a través de la aplicación de un cuestionario ad hoc online. Para ello, se realizan dos análisis, uno factorial con el que se delimitan los factores y otro multivariado con el que se examina la existencia o no de diferencias estadísticamente significativas en relación a variables diversas. Por una parte, los resultados del análisis factorial corroboran la existencia de dos factores que son complementarios. Y por otra, los resultados multivariados sugieren que los estudiantes poseen unas creencias verídicas sobre su nivel de competencia digital. A la luz de estos resultados, se discuten y valoran las implicaciones.
