V nalogi se ukvarjam z bivšo tovarno Javor, za katero so po stečaju ostale le zapuščene industrijske hale, ki onemogočajo širjenje Pivke proti jugu. Projekt se ukvarja s premislekom o vrsti novih programov in njihovim umeščanjem v obstoječe strukture območja. V obstoječo industrijsko halo umestim kompleks kopališča z vsemi pripadajočimi enotami. Za popolno oživitev cone predvidim medgeneracijski center, ki je namenjen predajanju znanj, tradicij med mladimi in starejšimi, hkrati pa predstavlja prostor, kjer se predvsem mladi lahko družijo in kvalitetno preživljajo svoj prosti čas. Del namenim mestni promenadi, ki vodi do tržnice z lokalnimi pridelki. Industrijski kompleks obravnavam kot urbanistično celoto ter predvidim parkovno ureditev odprtih prostorov. V objektu ohranim obstoječo konstrukcijo, z novimi lamelami pa vstavljam skoncentriran program, ki napaja nastale praznine. My thesis focuses on the former Javor factory, whose bankruptcy has left behind abandoned industrial halls, which prevent the city from expanding southwards. The project deals with the reflection on a series of new programs and their integration into the existing structures of the area. I locate a swimming pool complex with all its associated units into an existing industrial hall. To fully revitalize the zone, I plan an intergenerational center, which is intended for the transmission of knowledge and traditions between the young and the elderly, and which, at the same time, represents a place where particularly young people can socialize and spend quality leisure time. I dedicate a part of it to the town promenade leading to the market with local produce. In the building, I mostly keep the existing structure. However, I do add new construction, with which I insert a concentrated program that feeds the voids that have been created.

[ES] The neighborhood of Pinedo is the most meridional one in Valencia, on the opposite riverbank, almost becoming the first village of the `Huerta Sur¿ or `La Albufera¿. Even though its proximity to the city, Pinedo remains isolated between physical barriers as the `Plan Sur¿, the port, or the highway. However, some great landscapes, such as the beach, the dunes, or a little pine forest, can be found there. These complexities have generated an unfinished urban plot, especially in the southern border or in a poor coast treatment. Consequently, this project aims to solve Pinedo¿s waterfront, while creating a new public space for the confluence of its diverse generations, where they could rediscover its natural landscape. The building will hold both, some absent needs in Pinedo - like a small theater, a library, or a gym ¿ and other flexible spaces for programmed or spontaneous activities. The volumetric concept is an artificial topography that surges from a big central void. This void work as the main backbone for the different layers of the project. Conversely, the topography becomes the public space and generates the main volumes where the main uses are held. References go from Sanaa Rolex Center to Miralles Palafolls Library, including RCR Sant Antoni Library or Zaha Hadid works. [ES] El proyecto busca regenerar el eje de la calle Sagunto, realizando un corredor verde, accesible y comercial que conecte el barrio de Morvedre con el centro de Valencia. Además, a lo largo de la calle se plantea una serie de intervenciones para la creación de espacios públicos y equipamientos sociales. La intervención en la que se centra el proyecto busca regenerar el barrio de Morvedre, realizando la actuación en dos solares ubicados en el cruce de la calle Sagunto y la calle Ruaya. El proyecto pretende rehabilitar y reformar ciertas zonas poniendo en valor la identidad del lugar. Para ello, se proyectan equipamientos sociales, como: un centro de formación que enseñe los oficios artesanales que hay en el barrio (sopladores de vidrio, carpinteros y metalúrgicos¿) un centro intergeneracional compuesto por tres zonas: una infantil, una para jóvenes y una para personas de la tercera edad, un aula multiusos que pueda servir para la celebración de actos y para ensayos de las escuelas de baile y música de la zona. Finalmente, todo ello quedará integrado través de espacios porticados públicos., [EN] The purpose of this project is to regenerate the axis of Sagunto Street, creating a green, accessible and commercial corridor to connect the Morvedre neighbourhood with the centre of Valencia. In addition, a series of interventions are proposed for the creation of public spaces and social facilities. The intervention on which the project is focused is intended to regenerate the Morvedre neighbourhood, performing actions on two plots located at the intersection of Sagunto Street and Ruaya Street. The project is aimed at rehabilitating and reforming certain areas in order to save the identity of the place. To this end, social facilities are planned, such as: an educational centre to teach the crafts that exist in the neighbourhood (glassblowers, carpenters, metalworkers...) and an intergenerational centre consisted of three areas: one for children, one for young people and one for the elderly. Besides, it will have a multipurpose room that could be used for events, rehearsals and classes for dance and music schools from the area. Finally, all this will be integrated through public arcaded spaces.

Dissertação de Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura, com a especialização em Arquitetura apresentada na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa para obtenção do grau de Mestre. projecto incide na vila de Pataias e tem como objectivo aproveitar o contexto social, cultural e urbano da comunidade onde está inserido. A proposta na área de intervenção incorpora as actividades existentes e os edifícios, tendo em conta o enquadramento histórico e geográfico. Para que a proposta cumpra com as directrizes estabelecidas foi necessário compreender alguns conceitos, perceber a forma como a cultura pode influenciar a sociedade, introduzindo assim, na área de intervenção, novos métodos de preservação e valorização. Quando se intervém num meio urbano de pequena escala, o desenvolvimento social deverá ser uma prioridade, sendo necessário observar, analisar e catalogar toda a informação de forma a distinguir a componente da identidade colectiva. Estabelecidos os conceitos principais, a cultura local contaminou as opções projectuais desenvolvidas. O centro intergeracional multifuncional tenciona proporcionar aos habitantes da vila de Pataias, um local de estudo, de cultura e de conhecimento pessoal e colectivo. ABSTRACT:This project focuses in the town of Pataias and has the goal of looking into the social, cultural and urban context of this place. The proposal, located in it’s intervention area, embodies the activities and the buildings already present, while taking into account the historical and geographical framework. For this proposal to comply with the pre-determined guidelines, it was required to understand some concepts, while understanding the way how culture influences society, introducing, in the intervention area, new preservation and appreciation methods. When a project aims to intervene in a small scale urban environment, the social development should be a priority, while also being necessary to observe, analise and catalog the information in a way to distinguish the collective identity component. With the principal concepts laid down, the local culture has ultimately had an influence int the projectual path chosen for this work. The intergenerational and multifunctional centre aims to give its inhabitants, and the broad public of Pataias, a place of culture, of study, of personal knowledge and collectivism. N/A

[ES] El presente trabajo trata de dar soluciones arquitectónicas a una zona de periferia. El proyecto plantea tres escalas de trabajo: a escala urbana, se trata de solucionar el problema de un borde urbano, la relación entre lo urbano y lo rural interrumpido por grandes vías de circulación. Se plantea un parque lineal con unos recorridos que atraviesan los barrios periféricos y que conectan con la zona de la huerta. A escala del barrio, se trata de proyectar soluciones para satisfacer las necesidades de los habitantes de los barrios periféricos, se proyecta un centro intergeneracional integrado en la ordenación urbanística, que alberga espacios de diferentes usos y actividades. Además, se plantea la reconversión y revalorización de un edificio existente, la Alquería Falcó, de gran valor cultural, donde se trata de limpiar el entorno de la alquería para poner en valor lo esencial de su arquitectura., [EN] The present work is about giving architectural solutions to an area of periphery. The project encompasses three scales of work: at an urban scale, it is about solving the problem of an urban edge, the relationship between the urban and the rural, interrupted by large roads. A linear park is proposed with some routes that runs through the suburbs and that connects with the area of the garden. At the scale of the neighborhood, it is about projecting solutions to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the suburbs, an intergenerational center integrated in urban planning is planned, which houses spaces of different uses and activities. In addition, the reconversion and revaluation of an existing building, Alquería Falcó, of great cultural value, is considered, it is about cleaning up the surroundings of the alquería in order to highlight the essence of the architecture.

Živimo v času velikih nasprotij. Po eni strani nam tehnologija omogoča več prostega časa kot kadarkoli doslej, po drugi strani pa vedno manj tega časa preživimo na kakovosten način. Vedno manj je tudi druženja znotraj in zunaj ozkega kroga družine, saj imamo vse potrebno na dosegu roke znotraj lastnega doma. Ta projektna naloga je izdelena kot iniciativa za kakovostno preživljanje prostega časa skozi različne športne in interesne dejavnosti in skozi druženje vseh starostnih skupin raziskuje idejo medgeneracijskega centra na območju Tezna v Mariboru. We live in times of great contrasts. On one hand we have technology, which allows us more free time than ever before while on the other hand it seems we spend less and less time in a meaningful way. We spend less time with our friends and families, as we have everything we require within a hand’s reach inside our home. This project is made as an initiative for people to spend their time in a meaningful way through different sports activities and interests throughout all age groups, while exploring and idea of an intergenerational center in Tezno, Maribor.
