La evidencia en la dependencia del petróleo en la economía ecuatoriana persiste, a pesar de los esfuerzos por diversificar la matriz productiva. Los obstáculos en términos de inversión, tecnología y estabilidad política y económica han dificultado los avances en esta dirección documental y un análisis de datos secundarios. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la dependencia petrolera en Ecuador durante el período 2018-2022. Para ello, se utilizó una metodología de investigación documental y un análisis de datos secundarios. Los resultados indican que, durante este período, el sector petrolero ecuatoriano ha enfrentado una serie de desafíos que han limitado su capacidad de producción y refinación. Factores como problemas operativos, limitaciones en la infraestructura y el impacto de la pandemia de COVID-19 han contribuido a una disminución en la producción de crudo, lo que ha tenido un efecto negativo en los ingresos del país y su posición competitiva en el mercado global. Además, este artículo resalta la necesidad de que Ecuador implemente estrategias integrales para reducir su dependencia del petróleo, diversificando sus fuentes de ingresos y promoviendo un desarrollo económico más sostenible a largo plazo.

Introduction: In Honduras, social protests have increased in recent years due to political, economic, and social problems. The protagonists of these actions arise from different groups and organizations that demand consideration through road blockades, which bring with them diverse consequences. Objective: To identify the economic impact of road protests on the industry and population of Valle de Sula (VS), Honduras. Materials and methods: The study was conducted with a mixed, descriptive, non-experimental, crosssectional design. Surveys were administered to 296 economically active persons (EAP) in the VS and interviews were conducted with 72 companies in the same area. Results: 61.4 % of the EAP and 80 % of the enterprises in the VS are affected by blockades due to protests on public roads. The characteristics of the EAPs that are most related to the economic effect of wage deductions (measured in US dollars whose ISO code is USD) are between USD 8 and 20 per day, are in the age range of 18 to 25 years, type of company (private) and the monthly salary ranges between USD 408 and 611, according to the Chi-square test (<0.05). The affected companies are mostly from the private sector (85 %), experiencing the absence of employees, delays in production and shipments, cancellation of orders, and higher fuel consumption. Causing losses between 203,00 and 406,00 USD in each manifestation. Conclusions: Social demonstrations using blockades on public roads generate a negative impact on the economy of the VS, Honduras, on the population due to salary deductions, and on companies due to losses due to limitations in their production processes. La ciudad de Bogotá se destaca por poseer una alta concentración urbana y económica, junto a sus municipios aledaños es considerada el pilar principal de la economía del país. No obstante, el rezago en infraestructura vial que aqueja a la economía colombiana tiene incidencia en los altos costos de transporte de carga que asumen los agentes económicos, dificultando la competitividad regional y nacional. El análisis del presente artículo parte de los lineamientos de inversión en infraestructura vial que ha establecido el Gobierno nacional a través del Plan Maestro de Transporte Intermodal y de la reducción en los costos de transporte de carga que allí se plantean que, por medio de un modelo de equilibrio general computable espacial, se analiza el efecto económico de tal reducción y el impacto en la competitividad regional, se aborda a través de la estimación de un modelo gravitacional. Los resultados indican que la inversión en infraestructura se ve reflejada en el crecimiento de la actividad económica como en los flujos de comercio que impactan positivamente la competitividad y que pueden incentivar la decisión de localización o relocalización de las empresas.

Objective: To estimate the economic cost of GBV from the perspective of a women survivor who sought help from two identified programs (Makueni GBVRC and Life Bloom Services International [LBSI]). Design: A mixed method research design combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. Site: Makueni GBVRC in Makueni County, overseen by the Makueni County government, and LBSI in Naivasha, Nakuru County, a non-profit organization devoted to serving local communities. Participants: Study participants include women survivors of GBV, aged 18 and above, actively seeking services at Makueni GBVRC and LBSI. Interventions: The study adopts a qualitative approach to delve into the intricate economic costs of GBV on survivors. Additionally, quantitative data analysis employs an accounting model to ascertain the financial implications. Main measurements: The costs analyses were done from the perspective of the women survivors. An accounting model was utilized to evaluate the cost of GBV on selected survivors. Furthermore, the research explores the enduring consequences for survivors, including psychological trauma and susceptibility to stress-related diseases. Results: The findings reveal substantial economic costs linked to GBV, adversely affecting survivors, their children, and society at large. These costs encompass direct expenditures on medical care, legal representation, and counseling, as well as indirect costs, such as lost productivity. Conclusions: Beyond immediate and indirect costs, the study underscores the existence of opportunity costs—what survivors and affected children could attain in the absence of GBV. Resumen: Objetivo: Estimar el costo económico de la violencia de género desde la perspectiva de una mujer sobreviviente que buscó ayuda de dos programas identificados (Makueni GBVRC y Life Bloom Services International [LBSI]). Diseño: Un diseño de investigación de método mixto que combina enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos. Sitio: Makueni GBVRC en el condado de Makueni, supervisado por el gobierno del condado de Makueni, y LBSI en Naivasha, condado de Nakuru, una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a servir a las comunidades locales. Participantes: Los participantes del estudio incluyen mujeres sobrevivientes de violencia de género, de 18 años o más, que buscan activamente servicios en Makueni GBVRC y LBSI. Intervenciones: El estudio adopta un enfoque cualitativo para profundizar en los intrincados costos económicos de la violencia de género para los sobrevivientes. Resultados: Los hallazgos revelan costos económicos sustanciales relacionados con la violencia de género, que afectan negativamente a los sobrevivientes, sus hijos y la sociedad en general. Estos costos abarcan gastos directos en atención médica, representación legal y asesoramiento, así como costos indirectos, como la pérdida de productividad. Conclusiones: Más allá de los costos inmediatos e indirectos, el estudio subraya la existencia de costos de oportunidad: lo que los sobrevivientes y los niños afectados podrían lograr en ausencia de violencia de género.

Introduction: Chronic hyperkalemia has negative consequences in the medium and long term, and determines the suspension of nephro and cardioprotective drugs, such as renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system inhibitors (RAASi). There is an alternative to the suspension or dose reduction of these treatments: the administration of potassium chelators. The aim of this study is to estimate the economic impact of the use of patiromer in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or heart failure (HF) and hyperkalemia in Spain. Materials and method: The annual economic impact of the use of patiromer has been estimated from the perspective of the Spanish society. Two scenarios were compared: patients with CKD or HF and hyperkalemia treated with and without patiromer. The costs have been updated to 2020 euros, using the Health Consumer Price Index. Direct healthcare costs related to the use of resources (treatment with RAASi, CKD progression, cardiovascular events and hospitalization due to hyperkalemia), direct non-healthcare costs (informal care: costs derived from time dedicated by patient’s relatives), the indirect costs (productivity loss), as well as an intangible cost (due to premature mortality) were considered. A deterministic sensitivity analysis was performed to validate the robustness of the study results. Results: The mean annual cost per patient in the scenario without patiromer is €9,834.09 and €10,739.37 in CKD and HF, respectively. The use of patiromer would lead to cost savings of over 30% in both diseases. The greatest savings in CKD come from the delay in the progression of CKD. While in the case of HF, 80.1% of these savings come from premature mortality reduction. The sensitivity analyses carried out show the robustness of the results, obtaining savings in all cases. Conclusions: The incorporation of patiromer allows better control of hyperkalemia and, as a consequence, maintain treatment with RAASi in patients with CKD or HF. This would generate a 32% of annual savings in Spain (€3,127 in CKD; €3,466 in HF). The results support the positive contribution of patiromer to health cost in patients with only CKD or in patients with only HF. Resumen: Introducción: La hiperpotasemia crónica tiene consecuencias negativas a medio y largo plazo, condicionando generalmente la suspensión de fármacos nefro y cardioprotectores, en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) e insuficiencia cardíaca (IC), como son los inhibidores del sistema renina-angiotensina-aldosterona. Existe una alternativa a la suspensión o reducción de dosis de estos tratamientos y es la administración de quelantes del potasio. El objetivo de este estudio es estimar el impacto económico que supondría el uso de patiromer en pacientes con ERC o IC e hiperpotasemia en España. Material y métodos: Se ha estimado el impacto económico anual del uso de patiromer desde la perspectiva de la sociedad española, comparando 2 escenarios: pacientes con ERC o IC e hiperpotasemia tratada con patiromer y sin patiromer. Los costes se han actualizado a euros de 2020, utilizando el índice de precios de consumo de Sanidad. Se han considerado los costes directos sanitarios relacionados con el uso de recursos (el tratamiento con inhibidores del sistema renina-angiotensina-aldosterona, la progresión de la ERC, los eventos cardiovasculares y la hospitalización por hiperpotasemia), los costes directos no sanitarios (cuidados informales: costes derivados del tiempo de dedicación por parte de los familiares del paciente), los costes indirectos (pérdidas de productividad laboral), así como un coste intangible (por mortalidad prematura). Se realizó un análisis de sensibilidad determinístico para validar la consistencia de los resultados del estudio. Resultados: El coste medio anual por paciente en el escenario sin patiromer es de 9.834,09 y 10.739,37 € en ERC e IC, respectivamente. El uso de patiromer supondría un ahorro de costes superior al 30% en ambas enfermedades. En el caso de la ERC, el mayor ahorro procede del retraso de la progresión de la ERC. Mientras que en IC el 80,1% de estos ahorros provienen de la reducción de la mortalidad prematura. Los análisis de sensibilidad realizados muestran la consistencia de los resultados, obteniendo ahorros en todos los casos. Conclusiones: La incorporación de patiromer permite controlar la hiperpotasemia y, como consecuencia, mantener el tratamiento con inhibidores del sistema renina-angiotensina-aldosterona en los pacientes con ERC o IC, generando unos ahorros anuales en España del 32% (3.127 € en ERC; 3.466 € en IC). Estos resultados apoyan la contribución positiva que patiromer puede tener tanto en los pacientes con ERC como en aquellos que solo tienen IC.

El impuesto de renta se ha convertido en una de las principales fuentes de ingresos del Estado para financiar las políticas y los proyectos públicos. Es por ello que esta investigación profundiza en los efectos de las distintas reformas tributarias reali­zadas entre 2012 y 2022 en los ingresos laborales de las personas. Para el efecto, en primer lugar se relacionan los cambios en el impuesto de renta producto de las reformas fiscales y las políticas gubernamentales entre 2012 y 2022, específica­mente en relación con los ingresos laborales de las personas naturales asalariadas; en segundo lugar se presenta la simulación matemática de un caso específico en este segmento de contribuyentes, y, por último, se analizan los factores económicos y sociales que influyeron en dichas transformaciones tributarias. En esta inves­tigación se usó una metodología cualitativa con enfoque descriptivo, se revisó la literatura respectiva y se analizó su contenido apoyada en datos cuantitativos, lo que permitió tener una visión más completa del fenómeno y obtener resultados más precisos que permitan orientar rutas de investigación futuras. Este estudio proporciona una visión integral de la evolución del impuesto de renta por ingresos laborales y sus implicaciones para los trabajadores y el Estado, hallazgos que son importantes para la toma de decisiones políticas y la planificación financiera de los individuos en el país.

El golpe de estado liderado por el general Juan Velasco Alvarado el 3 de octubre de 1968 en Perú marcó el inicio de la ley de reforma agraria, la cual se extendió desde 1969 hasta 1980. Esta reforma implicó la expropiación de extensas tierras de grandes empresas, incluyendo la prominente Hacienda Casa Grande, una de las principales azucareras del país. Las tierras expropiadas se redistribuyeron entre campesinos y comunidades rurales con el objetivo de mejorar sus condiciones de vida y promover la igualdad en la tenencia de tierras. La reforma no solo impactó en el sector económico, sino también en la estructura organizacional de la hacienda, ya que las tierras pasaron a manos de los agricultores. En el caso de Casa Grande, la producción de azúcar experimentó un notable aumento entre 1969 y 1975, alcanzando su punto máximo junto con las exportaciones. Esto generó ingresos sustanciales para la hacienda, aunque estos resultados también estuvieron influenciados por factores como los precios favorables del azúcar en ese período.

It is pertinent to highlight the positive impact that digital platforms have on the sale of beauty products; Digitalization has revolutionized this sector and will continue to do so in the future. The research seeks to analyze how social networks have influenced the purchasing and consumption behavior of beauty products between 2020 and 2023, a period marked by the pandemic and the rise of e-commerce. It is a mixed, observational, non-experimental, retrospective, longitudinal study, which includes the analysis of a questionnaire using a Google forms, which was developed with the objective of assessing the adaptation to the new modality of the sales of these products, in addition from an interview conducted with coordinators of the different beauty product distribution companies. The questionnaire was answered by 77 people, and among the conclusions, it was seen that the economic impact on this group of people was mostly positive, and the social network that had the greatest adaptation was WhatsApp. The interview with the sales coordination of the beauty products distributor YANBAL concluded that at the beginning of the pandemic there was a negative impact, but the market was managed to stabilize, and they are betting on their own distribution networks for their regular customers. The tax influence on sports prediction establishments in the city of Portoviejo is dated as a fun-damental and functional element, which addresses the relationship between businesses and local tax collections. Within this study, the activities of sports forecasting establishments will be car-ried out where they are directly impacted by tax revenues in the city. From that point, the relationships between the tax rates that are applied within the estab-lishments and the resulting financial contribution will be analyzed. However, the communities' perceptions of the presence of businesses and their impacts on local economies are explored. This research seeks to provide the comprehensive version of the tax dynamics associated with sports forecasting establishments in the city of Portoviejo, in order to inform future fiscal policies or their strategic decisions. A study of the impact of taxes on sports betting centers in the city of Portoviejo is pre-sented, in the form of a detailed analysis of the integration of these companies with local tax collection. Facilities of this type, focused on sports betting, are not only an important part of the city's commercial fabric, but play an important role in generating tax revenue. Understanding the dynamics between tax rates and the financial stability of gambling or-ganizations is important because it can have a direct impact on business owners' strategic decisions and local tax policies. A new invasive pest, Amrasca biguttula (Ishida) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), has recently been detected in southern Puerto Rico. This is the first time that this species has been officially reported in the Western Hemisphere. The species was observed affecting cotton, both cultivated and wild, and eggplant. More research is needed to understand the potential impacts of this species on the island. Recientemente se ha encontrado una nueva plaga invasiva en el sur de Puerto Rico. El turismo es una actividad económica con impactos tanto positivos como negativos en la sociedad. Este estudio se enfocó en analizar los impactos económicos del turismo en proveedores de servicios turísticos a nivel mundial. Se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva de papers científicos en bases de datos como Scopus, Web of Science y Dialnet, resultando en 89 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 12 para su revisión. Los hallazgos revelaron impactos altamente positivos en empresas de servicios turísticos, como alojamientos, restaurantes, centros de esparcimiento, campamentos y operadores turísticos. Además, se destacaron los emprendimientos a nivel microeconómico como beneficiarios. En conclusión, el turismo contribuye significativamente a la generación de beneficios económicos locales. No obstante, las tendencias globales actuales exigen que la actividad turística se enfoque en principios de equidad, responsabilidad y respeto. El turismo, cuando se gestiona adecuadamente, se convierte en un motor dinamizador de la economía a nivel local y global.

Objetivos: Desde el inicio de la pandemia en 2019, los productos básicos de la canasta familiar en Colombia, ha experimentado variaciones históricas significativas. En este sentido, durante el año 2022 los precios de la papa contribuyeron con un 19.52% a la variación total del Índice de Precios del Consumidor (IPC). En este artículo, se analiza si estas variaciones se deben en parte a un comportamiento especulativo en los precios de la papa desde el inicio de la pandemia Covid19. Métodos: Se emplearon cuatro métodos diferentes de estimación de series de tiempo para probar que si la inestabilidad ha persistido en los últimos dos años, creando una volatilidad en los precios. A su vez se utilizaron modelos de Supremum Augmented Dickey-Fuller y Generalised Supremum Augmented Dickey-Fuller para probar tendencias especulativas. Resultados: Los resultados muestran que la serie dejo de ser estacionaria después de la pandemia y que hay tendencias especulativas en los precios lo que sugiere que no solo los eventos externos han contribuido al aumento en el precio de la papa y, por ende, al incremento del IPC. Conclusión: La pandemia de 2020 fue un evento histórico que afectó las cadenas productivas de los países en múltiples formas. En Colombia, la cadena productiva de los commodities agrícolas fue afectada principalmente por los cierres de las regiones y por la falta de abastecimiento de alimentos al inicio de la pandemia. Los resultados indican que los precios tuvieron un comportamiento explosivo en 2020, que pudo haber sido aprovechado para comportamientos especulativos. Se proponen tres frentes de política pública para mejorar la situación del mercado: La necesidad de crear sistemas de inventarios para el producto agrícola, la inclusión de herramientas financieras que permitan tener mejores expectativas del futuro, y la urgencia de mejorar la productividad del sector.

Introduction: Hip replacement is one of the most successful operations in orthopaedic surgery. Periprosthetic hip fractures (PPHF) have very serious consequences for the patient, and they also entail a very important economic impact on healthcare systems. The aim of the study was to provide the first detailed cost analysis of PPHF in a traumatology and orthopaedics service in a third level hospital in Spain. Methods: The study included all patients admitted between 2009 and 2019 with a diagnosis of “PPHF”. We assessed hospital stay cost, total cost of the operating theatre, cost of the implants used, analyses, consultations with other specialists, rehabilitation sessions, radiological tests, microbiology, blood transfusions and other surgical operations during the same admission. Results: 78 patients were included in the study, 49 women and 29 men, with a mean age of 78.74 years (R 45–92). 69 patients received surgical treatment, 75% had open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), and 25% had revision surgery. The total cost was €1,139,650.17. The average cost was €14,610.90. Significantly higher costs were incurred for revision compared to ORIF treatments, admissions that lasted more than 30 days, and patients who required more than one operation during admission. The most costly factors were the hospital stay (46%), the cost of the surgery itself (35%), and the implants (24%). Conclusions: Revision arthroplasty versus ORIF treatment, admissions lasting more than 30 days, and patients requiring more than one operation on admission incurred significantly higher costs. The average cost, from a hospital perspective, generated by a PPHF was €14,610.90. The most costly factors were, in descending order, the hospital stay, the cost of the surgery itself, and the implants. It is necessary to establish protocols and updated therapeutic algorithms in the perioperative management of PPHF in order to reduce both morbidity rates and associated costs. Resumen: Introducción: La artroplastia de cadera es una de las operaciones con mejores resultados en cirugía ortopédica. Las fracturas periprotésicas de cadera (FPPC) tienen consecuencias muy graves para el paciente y además suponen un impacto económico muy importante para los sistemas sanitarios. El objetivo del estudio es realizar el primer análisis detallado de los costes de las FPPC en un Servicio de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología en un hospital universitario de tercer nivel en España. Métodos: El estudio incluyó a todos los pacientes ingresados entre 2009 y 2019 con el diagnóstico de «FPPC». Se evaluaron el coste de la estancia hospitalaria, el coste total del quirófano, el coste de los implantes utilizados, los análisis de sangre, las consultas con otros especialistas, las sesiones de rehabilitación, las pruebas radiológicas, la microbiología, las transfusiones de sangre y otras intervenciones quirúrgicas durante el mismo ingreso. Resultados: Se incluyó a un total de 78 pacientes, 49 mujeres y 29 hombres, con una edad media de 78,74 años (R 45-92); 69 pacientes recibieron tratamiento quirúrgico, el 75% se sometió a reducción abierta y fijación interna (RAFI) y el 25% a revisión protésica. El coste total fue de 1.139.650,17 €. El coste medio fue de 14.610,90 €. Los costes fueron significativamente más elevados en la revisión protésica que en la RAFI, en los ingresos que duraron más de 30 días y en los pacientes que requirieron más de una intervención quirúrgica durante el ingreso. Los factores que más influyeron en el coste fueron la estancia hospitalaria (46%), el coste de la intervención quirúrgica (35%) y el de los implantes (24%). Conclusiones: La cirugía de revisión protésica frente a RAFI, los ingresos de más de 30 días y los pacientes que requirieron más de una intervención quirúrgica durante el ingreso supusieron costes significativamente mayores. El coste medio, desde el punto de vista hospitalario, generado por una FPPC fue de 14.610,90 €. Los factores que más influyeron en el coste, en orden decreciente, fueron la estancia hospitalaria, el coste de la intervención quirúrgica y el de los implantes. Es necesario establecer protocolos y algoritmos terapéuticos actualizados en el manejo perioperatorio de la FPPC para reducir tanto las tasas de morbilidad como los costes asociados.

Esta revisão da literatura teve como objetivo analisar os impactos econômicos causados pela dermatite digital (DD) em gado leiteiro. A dermatite digital é uma das principais causas de claudicação infecciosa no gado leiteiro, gerando um significativo impacto na produção e bem-estar do animal. É uma doença contagiosa, causada por vários microrganismos, com predomínio de bactérias do gênero Treponema, mas bactérias como o Fusobacterium necrophorum, Dichelobacter nodosus e Porphyromonas levii também já foram identificadas. É caracterizada por lesões ulcerativas ao longo da banda coronária ou na pele adjacente à fenda interdigital de bovinos. Os sinais clínicos são inespecíficos, mas de modo geral, apresentam claudicação podendo variar de leve a severa, relutância em se locomover, postura de xifose para distribuir o peso do corpo à posição mais confortável, passadas mais curtas, andar na ponta do dígito ou até mesmo não apoiar o dígito afetado no solo. O diagnóstico ocorre por meio da inspeção do pé; porém, técnicas como o ensaio sorológico e diagnóstico molecular estão sendo estudados e têm-se mostrado como ferramentas viáveis, alternativamente à inspeção clínica. O tratamento da DD tem como objetivo principal reduzir a infecção bacteriana. Três abordagens principais são descritas na literatura: antibióticos sistêmicos, tratamento tópico individual e tratamento com pedilúvio em grupo. Os impactos econômicos são ocasionados pela mudança comportamental devido à dor provocada, o que leva a uma redução na produção de leite e na fertilidade desses animais, além de custos com tratamento, controle, erradicação e descarte prematuro dos animais pela cronicidade da doença. Baseado nesses estudos, conclui-se que a DD representa um impacto econômico negativo na produção de leite e no bem-estar dos animais.

Biological invasions represent a key threat to insular systems and have pronounced impacts across environments and economies. The ecological impacts have received substantial focus, but the socioeconomic impacts are poorly synthesized across spatial and temporal scales. We used the InvaCost database, the most comprehensive assessment of published economic costs of invasive species, to assess economic impacts on islands worldwide. We analyzed socioeconomic costs across differing expenditure types and examined temporal trends across islands that differ in their political geography—island nation states, overseas territories, and islands of continental countries. Over US$36 billion in total costs (including damages and management) has occurred on islands from 1965 to 2020 due to invasive species' impacts. Nation states incurred the greatest total and management costs, and islands of continental countries incurred costs of similar magnitude, both far higher than those in overseas territories. Damage‐loss costs were significantly lower, but with qualitatively similar patterns across differing political geographies. The predominance of management spending differs from the pattern found for most countries examined and suggests important knowledge gaps in the extent of many damage‐related socioeconomic impacts. Nation states spent the greatest proportion of their gross domestic products countering these costs, at least 1 order of magnitude higher than other locations. Most costs were borne by authorities and stakeholders, demonstrating the key role of governmental and nongovernmental bodies in addressing island invasions. Temporal trends revealed cost increases across all island types, potentially reflecting efforts to tackle invasive species at larger, more socially complex scales. Nevertheless, the already high total economic costs of island invasions substantiate the role of biosecurity in reducing and preventing invasive species arrivals to reduce strains on limited financial resources and avoid threats to sustainable development goals. Más de un año después del primer confinamiento por la pandemia del COVID-19, el resurgimiento de los contagios no augura un pronto regreso a la normalidad. Las implicaciones son diversas, por ello el objetivo de este documento fue mostrar el impacto económico de los rebrotes, y sus implicaciones y perspectivas para la economía mexicana. Para el análisis de los datos se realizó un pronóstico basado en series de tiempo. Para finales de 2022, el PIB no presentará cambios drásticos. Se espera que las remesas disminuyan en los próximos meses, pero que después retomen su tendencia al alza. Para el índice de desempleo, se espera que disminuya en los próximos meses, para retomar el mismo nivel después y que disminuya nuevamente a finales del año 2022. Para el índice nacional de precios y cotizaciones, se espera que tenga un aumento para diciembre de 2022. También el Índice de Consumo Mensual seguirá creciendo. Finalmente, el índice de precios y cotizaciones muestra tendencia a mantenerse estable durante los próximos meses y para la serie del tipo de cambio, se espera que siga creciendo paulatinamente durante los próximos meses. Este panorama evidencia la importancia de los modelos matemáticos para comprender el panorama económico y son herramientas necesarias para la toma de decisiones.

This paper aims to estimate the economic impact of the Buenos Aires Tango Festival 2019, Argentina. For this, the effects method is used, which includes direct, indirect and induced effects. In addition, some indicators are proposed and calculated to account for the relative impact of the event. The data was collected through an own survey carried out in person. The results show that the 2019 edition left nearly USD 680 million in the city's recreational and commercial circuit, equivalent to 0.6% of the annual production of the City of Buenos Aires. In addition, more than USD 100 million constituted a genuine foreign exchange income for the country. It is concluded, then, that the event generated a strongly positive economic impact in 2019. Public administration is conceptualized as the set of actions carried out by state entities, at different levels of government, for the achievement of purposes, objectives and goals framed in government policies, using appropriate means and decision mechanisms for the allocation and Correct distribution of public resources for the welfare of the population. In recent decades, it has been part of the political agenda due to the phenomenon of corruption, due to the directing of resources to satisfy the personal interests of public officials, hindering equal access to essential goods and services, mainly affecting life, health and other important rights of citizens. The objective of this article is to understand corruption in public administration and the impact it generates on political, economic and social development, in the Peruvian context. A retrospective study was carried out based on a systematic review of research on the subject, whose results show corruption as the use of public resources of the State for private benefit, generating political, economic and social repercussions, violating human rights, to the detriment of the social development. Petróleos Mexicanos fue creada para la explotación de petróleo, por vastos yacimientos que se han encontrado en la República Mexicana durante décadas en diferentes partes del territorio nacional y el cuál ha sido un factor importante en el crecimiento de economía mexicana. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo conocer el impacto económico de la refinería Olmeca en el municipio de Paraíso, Tabasco y comprender la importancia de las refinerías para poder procesar el crudo de petróleo haciendo que este se pueda convertir en gasolina, gas y aceite, siendo los combustibles más importantes por el uso que se le da en nuestra vida cotidiana, recordando que el petróleo no solo se usa para esos tres productos antes mencionados sino que también se le da uso para la elaboración de plásticos, polietilenos, calefacción y un sinfín de productos. La Investigación es tipo documental, realizando la búsqueda en Google Scholar, Science Direct, Research Gate, ScieELO, en la página oficial del gobierno de México y periódicos de renombre como Milenio, el Financiero encontrando más de 18 artículos que apoyaron el desarrollo de esta investigación. Los gobiernos al tener más refinerías buscan ampliar su capacidad de refinanciación de crudo para reducir la dependencia de las importaciones de gasolina y repercutir en la alta volatibilidad de sus precios en el mercado nacional. El proyecto de una nueva refinería impacta al municipio, y sobre todo al país en cuestión económica.

La vulnerabilidad socioeconómica de las ciudades asentadas frente al Golfo de México es un tema que requiere atención de primer orden dado los efectos del cambio climático que las está impactando, tanto a las actividades económicas y los asentamientos humanos, como a los ecosistemas costeros (estuarios y manglares) ubicados sobre la línea de costa. De ahí la importancia de la investigación ya que el comportamiento aleatorio del cambio climático, ligado al incremento de desastres, trasciende de cierta forma en el desarrollo sustentable de las localidades costeras del Golfo de México. Por lo que esta investigación se ha fijado como objetivo exponer los impactos sociales, económicos y culturales que puede sufrir el municipio de Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, bajo cualquier escenario donde el nivel del mar incremente de súbito 5 metros su nivel. La guía metodológica fue de carácter interdisciplinario, misma que consistió por una parte en ubicar y tipificar la distribución territorial de los grupos vulnerables que se encuentran actualmente dentro de la zona de peligro y por otra, en cualificar mediante recorridos de campo, las singularidades de los mismos. Algunos de los resultados más significativos son: si el municipio de Coatzacoalcos sufriera una inundación de cinco metros sobre el nivel del mar, 15% de su territorio quedaría anegado, es decir, 48 km2 de su territorio municipal presentarían cierto grado de vulnerabilidad socioeconómica al incremento del nivel del mar. Con base en ello, se propone fomentar exponencialmente la política de prevención de desastres dirigida a las personas más vulnerables.

Introduction: The confrontation to the epidemic of COVID-19 had a negative economic impact in the world, what generated an increment of the expenses and costs in the health sector of Santiago de Cuba province. Objective: To describe the economic impact of the COVID-19 in the sanitary sector of Santiago de Cuba during a year. Methods: A descriptive and prospective study was carried out in Santiago de Cuba province in the year 2021, for which the day-patient, budgetary expenses, average salary, total costs of a day-patient and unitary costs of a day-patient variables were analyzed. Results: The investigation revealed an increment in the expenses and its effect in the economy of the sanitary sector in 2021. When analyzing the expenses for departures, a higher significance was determined in those of medications, with 59.0 % of the total, what represented a growth of the unitary costs in comparison with the published standards. Conclusions: The expenses of the sanitary sector in this province contributed to control the propagation of COVID-19, to avoid the over expense for the introduction of vaccines, and allowed the decrease of the infection indexes. Also, the increment of the costs was evidenced in the different activity levels between 3 and 29 times more than the standardized costs of the country.

La vulnerabilidad socioeconómica es un tema prioritario debido a los efectos del cambio climático, el aumento de entropía de los distintos factores climáticos, ligado al aumento de desastres repercute en el desarrollo sustentable de los municipios costeros. El objetivo consistió en mostrar los impactos socioeconómicos que puede sufrir el municipio de Tuxpan, Veracruz, bajo el escenario de un incremento súbito en el nivel del mar de cinco metros. La matriz metodológica consistió en espacializar y cualificar a los grupos vulnerables. Resultados: sí el municipio de Tuxpan sufriera una inundación de cinco metros sobre el nivel del mar, 20% de su territorio quedaría anegado.
