The traditional embroidery of tehuana costumes is a central economic activity for many families in Juchitán Oaxaca, primarily carried out by women. Zapotec embroiderers weave threads of history by reproducing ancestral techniques, generating income that allows economic self-sufficiency and improves living conditions in their homes; this activity also energizes other local economic sectors by promoting the sale of textile materials; they are proud guardians of the cultural preservation of their ancestral traditions by promoting the use of the tehuana dress in religious commemorations and traditional dances. The objective of this research is to analyze the social, economic and cultural contributions of women who embroider tehuana costumes in Juchitán, Oaxaca, to understand their influence on the comprehensive development of the community, a quantitative methodology was used to evaluate cultural identity, and empowerment social, 80 women embroiderers were surveyed. The results show the importance of autonomy, commitment to your family and the community through your work regardless of the challenges. Amazonian fishery products are an indispensable component in the food security of the Amazonian peoples of Ecuador. This review work analyses the main preservation techniques that guarantee the quality and safety of Amazonian fishery products that have a relatively short shelf life, using a descriptive methodology based on the PRISMA method where several investigations have demonstrated the use of different preservation technologies (freezing, salting, smoking, vacuum packaging) applied in the area that are capable of extending the post-mortem shelf life of fishery products. Freezing processes have a greater capacity to extend the shelf life of fish products compared to conventional refrigeration, however, in this area artisanal fishing is practised and an effective cold chain is not guaranteed. Vacuum packaging has great potential for the packaging of fresh fish products. The use of non-thermal technologies, such as traditional salting and smoking by native peoples, is an alternative for the preservation of local fish products. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Se formula una propuesta hermenéutica referente a la regulación de los proyectos de inversión con efectos o potenciales efectos sobre comunidades indígenas. Esta propuesta sistematiza estándares de cumplimiento y enfoques culturalmente pertinentes, conforme el derecho humano al medio ambiente sano y el derecho humano a la identidad cultural, articulando las fuentes desde los niveles internacional y regional interamericano, para la protección de comunidades indígenas y respectivos territorios ambientalmente relevantes. Con base en dicha propuesta, se realiza un análisis crítico de jurisprudencia chilena en materia ambiental (competencia técnica ambiental o constitucional). Luego, se identifican brechas de cumplimiento, de origen regulatorio o interpretativo judicial, en la protección de comunidades indígenas, frente a los proyectos de inversión, conforme los referidos a estándares de contenidos en la propuesta. El estudio se focaliza en proyectos de inversión y sus efectos sobre los “intangibles culturales indígenas”, como bienes jurídicos protegidos a la luz de los derechos humanos indicados. Así, en el epígrafe 1), se estudia el derecho humano a la identidad cultural y el derecho humano al medio ambiente sano; en el epígrafe 2) se revisa el marco normativo doméstico pertinente a la evaluación ambiental; en el epígrafe 3) se formula una propuesta hermenéutica cautelar ambiental e intercultural; en el 4) se estudia críticamente la jurisprudencia ambiental local a partir de la propuesta formulada.

Los pueblos indígenas han sido históricamente marginados en el aspecto económico, social y educativo, fenómeno cuyas repercusiones todavía tienen eco en la actualidad. Los esfuerzos realizados en diferentes ámbitos a través de políticas públicas y reformas educativas no han tenido el alcance necesario, siendo ineludible la necesidad de generar un cambio real y permanente. En ese sentido, los testimonios en primera persona de los involucrados, permite tener la información necesaria para lograr una evolución favorable en este ámbito. El presente estudio analiza desde el método fenomenológico, las experiencias académicas de 36 estudiantes de pueblos originarios que cursan primaria, educación media superior o superior, tanto en escuelas regulares como indígenas, residentes en los estados de Durango y Chihuahua. También explora su sentido de identidad relacionado con sus costumbres y tradiciones. Como criterio de inclusión de los participantes, se consideró únicamente al alumnado que se perteneciera a un grupo indígena. Esta investigación se posiciona en el paradigma interpretativo y el enfoque cualitativo, empleando como técnicas de la entrevista a profundidad y el cuestionario. La información obtenida se analizó y clasificó en las categorías siguientes, en concordancia con el propósito de la investigación: costumbres y tradiciones, sentido de pertenencia, experiencias en el aula y relación con los compañeros no indígenas. Los resultados muestran el fuerte sentido de pertenencia de los estudiantes hacia sus comunidades de origen, pero admiten que la migración a zonas urbanas y las experiencias discriminatorias los llevan, en ocasiones, a dejar de utilizar su lengua materna y vestimenta tradicional. En cuanto al ámbito académico, comparten vivencias positivas respecto a la convivencia con sus compañeros y la forma de enseñanza de sus profesores, aunque expresan sentir una deficiencia el uso del español e incluso sufrir de exclusión para los trabajos en equipo por esta razón. Se concluye acerca de la importancia de garantizar el derecho a utilizar y preservar la lengua materna y las manifestaciones identitarias propias, al igual que proveer de un modelo educativo verdaderamente intercultural.

La identidad cultural de una localidad es influenciada por aspectos socioeconómicos y culturales. Entre estos factores, la revalorización de la producción artesanal juega un papel fundamental. El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar la relación entre la revalorización artesanal y la identidad cultural, examinando la actuación de los principales actores involucrados en la producción artesanal. Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa con un enfoque descriptivo, correlacional y transeccional. Para la recolección de datos, se aplicó encuestas y la escala de Likert; la muestra estuvo compuesta por 188 personas. Los hallazgos del estudio indicaron que existe una asociación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre la valoración de la artesanía y su impacto en la identidad cultural. Es decir, cuando los artesanos valoran su trabajo y crean objetos de alta calidad, se fortalece la identidad cultural. En conclusión, se puede afirmar que a medida que la valoración artesanal aumenta y mejora, también lo hace su impacto en la identidad cultural.

This investigation is centered on two objectives: one is to determine whether in Tomelloso, which from 1950 onwards was characterised as being a city linked to literature, this activity is still relevant in the distribution of its spare time. The second objective is to verify whether this city is still a place from which new writers regularly emerge. In addition, this paper aims to provide a sociological explanation of this social phenomenon. Methodological triangulation was used, with qualitative exploratory interviews, surveys, and the management of the bibliography and documentary archives. It is confirmed that there is still a major link to literature in Tomelloso and that writers are still continuously emerging. The phenomenon is explained by relating it to the theories of symbolic interactionism and Robert K. Merton's concept of self-fulfilling prophecies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article explored the challenges and opportunities associated with promoting cultural inclusion in educational settings. Significant challenges were identified as the lack of educational materials focused on ethnic and cultural diversity and the need to master inclusive pedagogical strategies. Opportunities to enrich the educational environment with many cultural perspectives and traditions, which promotes more complete and meaningful learning, were emphasized. The work aims to synthesize the influence of cultural diversity in the learning process of students in the 5th year of general basic education in the Simón Bolívar Millennium Educational Unit. A close link was established between the distinctive characteristics of each culture present in the school environment and the learning process. Este artículo se compone de dos partes: una bitácora del proceso de creación de la obra de danza teatro titulada La Otredad del grupo Pacific Dance de Tumaco (Colombia) y una descripción e interpretación del primero de los cuatro momentos que la componen. Con ello, se pretende ampliar la comprensión de los proyectos de danza teatro que surgen de colectivos formados de manera autodidacta en los territorios y entender su transformación a partir de los diálogos y las alianzas que establecen con actores del ámbito del arte, la universidad y del sector público.

Este artículo el resultado de una investigación en la que se analizaron las prácticas de resistencia que fortalecen el uso de la lengua nasa yuwe en el Resguardo Indígena Nasa Páez – Huila (Colombia). La base conceptual se apoya en la descolonización del saber y las epistemologías del sur; el proyecto se abordó desde el enfoque cualitativo, utilizando la investigación de tipo histórico – hermenéutica y el método etnográfico educativo, debido al ejercicio descriptivo de la interacción y la observación. Entre los resultados se evidencia que la mayoría de la población presenta dificultades en la lectura y escritura de la lengua porque su uso se había precisado en la oralidad. Ante esta realidad, el resguardo adelanta prácticas que revitalizan el valor de su lengua materna y su identidad cultural, como la incorporación de la asignatura Nasa yuwe en la institución etnoeducativa del territorio y la unificación del alfabeto del pueblo nasa.

Proyectar en un país denso de estratificaciones como Italia implica asumir una responsabilidad hacia la comunidad. La tarea que debe emprender la arquitectura no puede expresarse obviamente en la búsqueda anacrónica de una reproposición de rasgos somáticos perdidos o extintos sino, por el contrario, como una conciencia del valor de nuestro patrimonio genético en el contexto occidental contemporáneo. Esta asunción de responsabilidad es necesaria no tanto para una afirmación autárquica de pertenencia, sino como una indicación de voluntad para el debate sobre el destino de la ciudad. Al describir las obras realizadas durante un período de aproximadamente treinta años en suelo italiano, se traza un camino de investigación compositiva destinado a situar el pasado, el presente y el futuro en un diálogo estimulante.

La competencia en la interculturalidad en la formación docente desempeña un papel fundamental en el proceso de integración de estudiantes migrantes. Estudios sobre el tema indican que existe la necesidad de formar al profesorado en interculturalidad en la formación inicial y de forma permanente, esto les permitirá asumir aulas diversas desde la igualdad y con calidad. Además, les permitirá desarrollar una planeación didáctica más eficaz que valore los saberes de estudiantes. El ensayo ofrece nociones sobre dos conceptos: interculturalidad y sensibilidad intercultural. Posteriormente, explica el concepto de la migración y los retos para la educación. Con base en lo anterior, se propone la necesidad de la formación del profesorado en interculturalidad como fundamento hacia el desarrollo de la sensibilidad intercultural. Además, se concluyen tres aspectos: en primer lugar, la formación en interculturalidad debe iniciar en la educación superior e implica un proceso de aprendizaje continuo. En segundo lugar, la formación en interculturalidad permite al profesorado adquirir conocimientos y competencias necesarias para proyectar sus estrategias de aula bajo las necesidades, los saberes y el contexto de sus estudiantes. En tercer lugar, la interculturalidad promueve la oportunidad para enriquecer los conocimientos y, por ende, brinda la oportunidad a profesores y estudiantes de aprender de otras culturas, entendiendo que la sociedad es diversa y multicultural.

Introducción. La escuela como institución cumple un rol preponderante como agente socializador en las trayectorias vitales de niños, niñas y adolescentes, en tanto confluyen elementos que serán relevantes para la conformación identitaria, constituyéndose en un espacio interaccional de valores, creencias, cultura, relaciones y convivencia. Mirando la escuela desde un paradigma inclusivo, y tomando distancia de los enfoques adultocéntricos, resulta relevante centrar el foco en la experiencia de adolescentes migrantes, dado su posición como grupo subalterno y aportadores de elementos dinamizadores en la comunidad educativa. Este artículo tiene como objetivo, analizar la experiencia educativa y las dinámicas de inclusión/exclusión de adolescentes migrantes en contexto escolar. Metodología. Para esto, desarrollamos una metodología cualitativa con enfoque constructivista, a través de un diseño de estudio de caso, empleando como técnica de producción de datos la entrevista en profundidad con adolescentes migrantes, cuyo país de origen responde a los flujos migratorios emergentes en Chile que incluyen Colombia, Venezuela y Haití. Resultados. A partir del trabajo de campo, los resultados dan cuenta de dos unidades categoriales relevantes, en primer lugar, la experiencia educativa de los y las adolescentes migrantes, la cual está mediada por la inserción educativa y la relación con actores de la comunidad escolar; en segundo lugar, se destacan las estrategias de afrontamiento desarrolladas por los participantes, orientadas tanto a la integración, como a la activación de dinámicas de bullying, que terminan reproduciendo situaciones de violencia y exclusión. Discusión. Se evidencian importantes tensiones culturales en la escuela que dificultan la inclusión plena de los y las adolescentes, que responden a cuestiones socioestructurales, institucionales y situacionales, tales como, la falta de políticas públicas y protocolos para abordar la diversidad cultural en la escuela, como también a la preminencia de enfoques monoculturales y modelos asimilacionista en el modelo educativo vigente. Conclusiones. Para garantizar la inclusión de los y las adolescentes migrantes, resulta indispensable pensar en una política pública que aborde la diversidad cultural en el ámbito educacional, que desde la interculturalidad y con la participación de los diversos actores de la comunidad educativa, avance en la construcción de al menos tres dimensiones sustantivas, tales como la gestión institucional, pedagógica y de convivencia escolar.

El presente trabajo de investigación documental tiene el objetivo de demostrar la experiencia y contribución del docente y antropólogo José María Arguedas a la educación peruana del siglo XX tanto en el nivel de educación básica regular, así como en la educación superior. Arguedas constató que el sistema educativo peruano tenía serias deficiencias al no considerar la naturaleza multicultural de un país con gran potencial para transformar la diferenciada y disgregada sociedad peruana que deviene de un complejo proceso histórico. A lo largo de la experiencia educativa y profesional de Arguedas pudo definir que el método pedagógico/andragógico debe vincular la realidad socio cultural de los estudiantes para fortalecer la identidad de estos ciudadanos e incidir en la integración nacional. Estos aportes han contribuido significativamente a los enfoques de la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe que se desarrolla a partir del Ministerio de Educación peruano desde el año 2002 y se debería considerar fundamental en el proceso de la educación universitaria en el objetivo de una formación profesional idónea a las características socioculturales de la población, como decía Arguedas: “Un país de todas las sangres”, para sentar las bases del desarrollo nacional vinculado al principio de la interculturalidad de la sociedad.

Cultural identity in the context of migration is shaped by the gathering of migrants in so-called provincial clubs that have formed in Lima. In these spaces, Acorian migrants recreate festivities and expressions such as the dance Los negritos, which brings families together with the winning troupe from the celebration held in Acoria (Huancavelica, Peru). This festive moment is loaded with symbols that recognize the identity of Acorian residents in Lima, based on a sense of belonging that encompasses the community from the diaspora to the dance itself, sustaining the memory and identity of the Acorians. This qualitative, ethnographically designed article analyzes the relationship between these significant elements of Acorian identity among migrants in Lima. In-depth interviews were conducted with nine Acorians residing in the capital (during the months of September and October 2022), some involved in organizing the festival, others recurring participants in club activities. The research results are based on these interviews. It is concluded that social, familial networks generate the sense of identity in migratory processes, and cultural expressions such as dance contribute to the consolidation of cultural identity by recognizing its social and cultural value, making it representative of a people. In sum, this article captures the voices of Acorian migrants who value their origin and find in dance a symbol of unity between residents in Lima and those in Acoria. This supports the sense of belonging and strengthens the group that constructs its identity by recognizing itself as migrants. This systematic literature review examines the relationship between media ecology, collective memory, and cultural tourism in the digital age. It also highlights the impact of technology on how we think, relate, and communicate, as well as on the construction of identity and the appreciation of culture. The potential adverse effects of cultural tourism, such as the commodification and trivialization of culture, are explored, and solutions are proposed using digital tools, such as platforms for preserving collective memory and augmented reality for authentic cultural experiences. In the processes of occupation of rural space, the norms given from the Territorial Planning have prevailed, which allows the advancement of urban land, in the face of the decline of rural land. This article presents a reflection of the processes of appropriation of the territory from the perspective of rural settings through these case studies, based on the conceptual reflection on rurality and governance. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, documentary techniques, review of primary sources, technical reports from cars, and secondary (carried out in the period from 2006 to 2020). Among the main results, a marked polarity is observed in environmental management in governmental and territorial institutions, a derogatory sense towards the protection of rural soil in both cases, for this reason it is necessary to generate regulatory processes and management in the pursuit of rural soil protection. The university is a space of concurrence, encounter and recreation of diverse cultures; expression of the cultural diversity of society and of the dissimilar contexts from which the groups that act there come from. The research valued the importance of intercultural education and its strategies to promote the rescue of cultural identity in the field of education and its direct correlation with the language center of the Technical University of Cotopaxi. Within the descriptive and explanatory term, it was determined through analysis, observation and description of the variables, the need to promote the practice of national culture in students, through the implementation of educational strategies in the curriculum, the main objective of the research. The statistical data that nourish this study come from the results obtained through the application of surveys conducted with students and interviews with teachers. The subjects revealed the lack of knowledge about interculturality and cultural identity in the university community, and also communicated their interest in learning about the subject. This research aimed to understand the meaning that the lenca people of the San Isidro del Volcán community give to the recognition of otherness-alterity based on their cultural identity, to obtain an alternative civilizational look, through the historical construction of their life experiences and the symbolic construction they have carried out. A qualitative approach and a narrative-autobiographical design were used. The sample consisted of 15 community members, including leaders, old women, young people, and adults. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured in-depth interviews and focus groups. The results reveal that, in the lenca community, the recognition of otherness-otherness is based on their cultural identity. Five dimensions of otherness related to the ability to recognize the past and symbolic elements of the community are identified. In addition, four dimensions of alterity are closely linked to aspects of cultural identity, such as ancestral memory, the ability to recognize the past, and symbolic elements or referents that belong to it. In conclusion, the study highlights the relevance of appreciating and honoring cultural and ethnic diversity to foster a more inclusive and understanding society. However, it also highlights the obstacles that still exist in the process of establishing an equitable and harmonious coexistence between the different cultural groups within the investigated community. Various socioeconomic and cultural factors shape the cultural identity of a locality. One key factor influencing cultural identity is the revaluation of craft production. This article examined the relationship between the revaluation of crafts and cultural identity by analysing the performance of the key actors involved in craft production. The study used a quantitative methodology with a descriptive, correlational, and transactional approach. The data was collected through surveys and the Likert scale from 188 individuals. Esta revisión sistemática de literatura examina la relación entre la ecología de medios (Media Ecology), la memoria colectiva y el turismo cultural en la era digital. Se destaca el impacto de la tecnología en la forma en que pensamos, nos relacionamos y comunicamos, así como en la construcción de la identidad y la valoración de la cultura. Se exploran los posibles efectos negativos del turismo cultural, como la mercantilización y la banalización de la cultura, y se proponen soluciones utilizando herramientas digitales, como plataformas para la preservación de la memoria colectiva y la realidad aumentada para experiencias culturales auténticas. El estudio resalta la importancia de investigar esta relación y el potencial de las herramientas digitales en la construcción de memorias colectivas significativas.

Esta investigación parte de dos objetivos: uno es constatar si Tomelloso, que a partir de 1950 se caracterizó por ser una población vinculada a la literatura, sigue teniendo esta actividad como relevante en la distribución de su tiempo libre. El otro objetivo es verificar si esta población sigue siendo un lugar donde van surgiendo periódicamente nuevos escritores. Con todo, se pretende dar una explicación sociológica a este fenómeno social. Se ha recurrido a la triangulación metodológica con entrevistas exploratorias cualitativas, encuesta y manejo de bibliografía y archivos documentales. Se confirma que sigue habiendo una gran vinculación a la literatura en Tomelloso y siguen apareciendo escritores continuamente. El fenómeno se explica relacionándolo con las teorías del interaccionismo simbólico y lo expresado por Robert K. Merton sobre las profecías autocumplidas.

El reconocimiento de la identidad cultural es fundamental dentro del proceso de enseñanzaaprendizaje por su influencia formativa en los estudiantes del nivel superior; sin embargo, algunos de los profesionales en formación inicial de la carrera Educación Artística presentan insuficiencias en el conocimiento de los elementos que representan los valores identitarios de la nación cubana, por lo que se propone un conjunto de actividades docentes y extensionistas para solucionar las insuficiencias referidas. Las actividades poseen una estructura didácticometodológica que permite aplicarlas en el contexto escolar y comunitario, tomando en cuenta los niveles de desempeño de los estudiantes y la influencia socioeducativa de los agentes y agencias del entorno. En el artículo se exponen los resultados de la aplicación de la propuesta, con lo que se evidencia su utilidad práctica desde la apreciación, comprensión y disfrute de los elementos que representan las expresiones artísticas y valores identitarios de la nación.

En la actualidad, se observa un creciente fenómeno de desvinculación con los saberes ancestrales que caracterizan a las regiones colombianas, particularmente a la región Andina. Esto ha llevado a la pérdida de algunas tradiciones y costumbres, que no son transmitidas y, por ende, no son preservadas. Por esta razón, es imprescindible implementar acciones en el ámbito educativo que promuevan el reconocimiento cultural de esta región. De esta manera, se busca fomentar una conexión más profunda con las raíces culturales, asegurando así su continuidad y valoración en las nuevas generaciones. El objetivo de la investigación, de la cual se arroja este artículo, es generar un diálogo intercultural que permita el desarrollo de una identificación y reconocimiento cultural, por medio de la danza, la música y la literatura de la región Andina en los departamentos de Cundinamarca y Nariño, en las instituciones educativas Juan Luis Londoño de la Cuesta y la Institución Educativa Municipal el Encano. Para la recolección de datos, se utilizaron tres técnicas: encuesta, observación directa y entrevista. Se aplicó una encuesta con un cuestionario de diecinueve preguntas cerradas para identificar los conocimientos que tenían el estudiantado sobre la cultura del departamento en el que no habitan. Además, se realizó observación directa y entrevistas para complementar la información obtenida a través de la encuesta. Por lo tanto, se generaron espacios con los diferentes educandos de dos instituciones educativas, donde se dio un diálogo intercultural que permitió la identificación y el reconocimiento de la cultura propia de la región Andina. El estudio de esta investigación arrojó resultados significativos. El estudiantado logro una comprensión profunda de las disciplinas, mostrándose más participativos y superando la timidez. Como recomendación, se sugiere continuar con la enseñanza integrada de estas disciplinas, fomentando la colaboración entre instituciones educativas y aprovechando la tecnología como medio para enriquecer la experiencia.
