Introduction: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide with limited treatment options due to extensive radiation and chemotherapy resistance. Monotherapy with immune checkpoint blockade showed no survival benefit. A combination of immunomodulation and radiotherapy may offer new treatment strategies, as demonstrated for non-small cell lung cancer. Radiation-induced anti-tumour immunity is mediated through cytosolic nucleic acid sensing pathways that drive the expression of interferon beta-1 (IFNB1) and proinflammatory cytokines. Methods: Human PDAC cell lines (PANC-1, MIA PaCa-2, BxPC-3) were treated with X-rays and protons. Immunogenic cell death was measured based on HMGB1 release. Cytosolic dsDNA and dsRNA were analysed by immunofluorescence microscopy. Cell cycle progression, MHC-I and PD-L1 expression were determined by flow cytometry. Galectin-1 and IFNB1 were measured by ELISA. The expression levels and the phosphorylation status of the cGAS/STING and RIGI/ MAVS signalling pathways were analysed by western blotting, the expression of IFNB1 and proinflammatory cytokines was determined by RT-qPCR and genome-wide by RNA-seq. CRISPR-Cas9 knock-outs and inhibitors were used to elucidate the relevance of STING, MAVS and NF-κB for radiation-induced IFNB1 activation. Results: We demonstrate that a clinically relevant X-ray hypofractionation regimen (3x8 Gy) induces immunogenic cell death and activates IFNB1 and proinflammatory cytokines. Fractionated radiation induces G2/M arrest and accumulation of cytosolic DNA in PDAC cells, which partly originates from mitochondria. RNA-seq analysis shows a global upregulation of type I interferon response and NF- κB signalling in PDAC cells following 3x8 Gy. Radiation-induced immunogenic response is regulated by STING, MAVS and NF- κB. In addition to immunostimulation, radiation also induces immunosuppressive galectin-1. No significant changes in MHC-I or PD-L1 expression were observed. Moreover, PDAC cell lines show similar radiation-induced immune effects when exposed to single-dose protons or photons. Conclusion: Our findings provide a rationale for combinatorial radiation-immunomodulatory treatment approaches in PDAC using conventional photon-based or proton beam radiotherapy. U ovom završnom radu će biti opisan postupak čišćenja i dezinfekcije zatvorenih sustava koji su dio proizvodne linije za punjenje boca piva u pivovari Carlsberg, te kako se taj sustav trenutno koristi i koji bi se elementi mogli poboljšati. Nakon toga će se objasniti glavne ideje za poboljšanje koje će se zatim detaljnije razraditi kroz izradu projektne dokumentacije. Glavni dio završnog rada će biti fokusiran na izradu tehničkog opisa, električnih shema i definiranja karakteristika opreme koja će biti nabavljena i ugrađena, kao i dopuna programa postojećeg sustava upravljanja linijom. This final paper will describe the cleaning and disinfection procedures of closed systems that are part of the production line for filling beer bottles in the Carlsberg brewery, and how that system is currently used and which elements could be improved. After that, the main ideas for improvement will be explained, which will then be elaborated in more detail through the creation of project documentation. The main part of the final work will be focused on creating a technical description, electrical diagrams and defining the characteristics of the equipment that will be purchased and installed, as well as supplementing the program of the existing line management system.

Tema ovog rada je konstrukcijska razrada kompaktnog mehanizma za dizanje, uz poseban zahtjev da se planetarni reduktor smjesti unutar volumena bubnja. Mehanizmi za dizanje sastoje se od motora, reduktora, kočnica, bubnja, faktorskog koloturnika te nosive konstrukcije. Vrsta reduktora je već definirana, pogon se standardno koristi elektromotorni, a bubanj jednoužetni s običnim faktorskim koloturnikom najvećeg prijenosnog omjera kako bi prijenosni omjer reduktora bio manji. Nadalje, potrebno je osmisliti kako će se planetarni reduktor učvrstiti na nosivu konstrukciju. Pritom je potrebno paziti da se osigura koncentričnost vratila i ležajeva na kojima će se bubanj uležištiti te mogućnost montaže. Planetarni reduktor se proračunava na temelju kinematske analize te se odabrani strojni dijelovi: zupčanici, vratila, ležajevi i spojke proračunavaju u skladu sa zadanim radnim karakteristikama koje mehanizam mora ispuniti. The subject of this paper is to design compact lifting mechanism, with a special request to place the planetary gear reducer within the drum volume. The lifting mechanism consists of a drive unit, planetary gear reducer, brakes, drum, tackleblock and a support frame. Gear reducer type is already assigned, the drive is electrial by deafult, single rope drum and tackleblock is chosen with highest velocity ratio so that planetary gear reducer ratio is lower. Furthermore, it is necessary to find a solution on how to fix a gear reducer on a support frame. Also, it is necessary to ensure concentricity of the shaft and bearings on wich the drum will be placed, as well as the possibility of mounting. Kinematic analysis of planetary gearbox is performed to obtain expressions crucial for planetary gearbox calculations by means of which other parts are selected and calculated

U ovom radu proučava se RISC-V arhitektura skupa instrukcija. Objašnjava se koncept ISA i uspoređuju se njezine 2 glavne vrste, RISC i CISC. Prikazane su značajke RISC-V arhitekture, osnovni skupovi instrukcija te registri. Objašnjeni su formati instrukcija i za svaki navedene instrukcije koje ga koriste. Prikazane su značajke G i C ekstenzija. Proučen je RISC-V i zbirni jezik, formati argumenata instrukcija, relokacijske funkcije, pseudoinstrukcije te pojam makro-op fuzije. Objašnjava se osnovna građa RISC-V procesora i pojam protočne strukture. Pojednostavljeni RISC-V SoC je napravljen u VHDL-u, opisano je kako on i njegova popratna programska potpora za testiranje i ispravljanje grešaka funkcioniraju. Prikazan je PULPissimo, primjer naprednog SoC-a i način kojim se na njemu pokreće program. This thesis studies the RISC-V instruction set architecture. The concept of an ISA is explained and its 2 main types, RISC and CISC are compared. Features of the RISC- V architecture, basic instruction sets and registers are presented. Instruction formats are explained and their respective instructions are listed. Features of G and C extensi- ons are shown. RISC-V assembly language, instruction argument formats, relocation functions, pseudoinstructions and the concept of macro-op fusion are studied. The ba- sic structure od a RISC-V processor and the concept of a pipeline are explained. A simplified RISC-V SoC is made in VHDL, how it and its debugging software function is described. PULPissimo, an example of an advanced SoC and how to run a program on it are shown.

15. Analiza javno dostupnih alata za geokodiranje i njihova primjena u AKM ustanovama

- Abstract
Cilj. Cilj je rada široj AKM zajednici predstaviti javno dostupne alate geokodiranja koji mogu biti korisni za predstavljanje raznolikih zbirki vezanih za pojedino područje. Rad će predstaviti neke od javno dostupnih alata te iznijeti njihove prednosti i nedostatke, mogućnosti primjene i pristupačnost. Pristup/metodologija/dizajn. Teorijski su razgraničeni osnovni pojmovi s kojima se autori virtualnih izložbi i interaktivnih karata susreću (GIS, mapiranje, geokodiranje, geolociranje). Uz pomoć analize koja razmatra prednosti, nedostatke, ustanove kojima je namijenjen te cijenu, napravljena je usporedba sedamnaest javno dostupnih alata za geokodiranje. Rezultati. Analizirano je 17 alata za geokodiranje. Od 17 promatranih alata, njih 10 ima širok spektar primjene koji, po mišljenju autora, uključuje i AKM zajednicu. Rezultati donose prednosti, nedostatke, cijenu i namjenu (odnosno korisnike) promatranih alata, a proučene su mogućnosti primjene, jednostavnost korisničkog sučelja, otvorenost koda, preglednost, trajnost pristupa i cjenovni rangovi. Ograničenja. Velik broj javno dostupnih alata za geokodiranje kao i njihov kontinuirani razvoj onemogućuju nam analizu svih. Također, usprkos podrobnom upoznavanju, svi analizirani alati za geokodiranje nisu korišteni od strane autora, samo pojedini, što ostavlja mogućnost da su se pojedine prednosti ili nedostaci previdjeli. Praktična primjena. U radu su predstavljeni javno dostupni alati za geokodiranja koji mogu biti korisni za promociju digitalnih zbirki na interaktivan i popularan način. Originalnost/vrijednost. Vrijednost ovoga rada ogleda se u činjenici da su na jednom mjestu obuhvaćeni i analizirani javno dostupni alati za geokodiranje koji mogu poslužiti ustanovama AKM zajednice za njihovu usporedbu prije odlučivanja o odabiru alata za izradu interaktivne karte na temelju vlastitih digitalnih zbirki., Purpose. The paper aims to present to the broader ALM community the available geocoding tools that can be useful for presenting diverse collections related to a particular area. The paper will discuss a few publicly available tools and outline their advantages and disadvantages, application possibilities, and accessibility. Approach/methodology/design. The paper theoretically defines the basic terms that the authors of virtual exhibitions and interactive maps encounter (GIS, mapping, geocoding, and geolocation). The paper presents a comparison of seventeen publicly available geocoding tools using an analysis that considers the advantages, disadvantages, institutions for which they are intended, and price. Findings. There were 17 geocoding tools analyzed. Of the 17 observed tools, 10 of them have a wide spectrum of application, which, in the author's opinion, also includes the ALM community. The results provide information on the advantages, disadvantages, price and purpose (that is, users) of the observed tools, and the possibilities of their application. Performances of the mentioned tools, such as simplicity of the user interface, open code, transparency, the durability of access and the price ranges were taken in consideration. Research limitations/implications. The large number of publicly available geocoding tools as well as their continuous development make analysis difficult. Despite the detailed familiarization, not all analyzed geocoding tools were used by the authors, only some of them, which leaves the possibility that some advantages or disadvantages were overlooked. Practical implications. The paper presents publicly available geocoding tools that can be useful for the promotion of digital collections in an interactive and popular way. Originality/value. The value of this paper is reflected in the fact that publicly available geocoding tools are included and analyzed in one place. 16. Patentne citatne analize u evaluaciji sveučilišta

- Abstract
Cilj. Cilj je rada prikazati razvoj patentnih citatnih analiza i predstaviti mogućnosti njihove primjene u evaluaciji sveučilišta uz bibliometrijske analize. Pristup/metodologija/dizajn. Prikazan je povijesni razvoj i primjena patentnih citatnih analiza. U drugom dijelu rada izvršena je usporedba hrvatskih, regionalnih i vodećih EU-sveučilišta prema prosjeku patentnih citata na 1000 radova i prosječnoj citiranosti po radu. Za analizu je korišten Scopusov bibliometrijski alat SciVal. Rezultati. Rad prikazuje primjere citatnih analiza pomoću kojih se uspoređuje patentna citiranost hrvatskih sveučilišta sa sveučilištima u regiji i vodećim sveučilištima iz Europske Unije. Rad analizira patentnu citiranost najvećih hrvatskih sveučilišta: Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, Sveučilišta u Splitu, Sveučilišta u Rijeci i Sveučilišta u Osijeku, kao i patentnu citiranost navedenih sveučilišta prema različitim područjima znanosti. Istražena je citiranost radova pojedinih hrvatskih sveučilišta citiranih u patentima, kao i omjer međunarodne suradnje u radovima citiranim u patentima prema ostalim citiranim radovima promatranih hrvatskih sveučilišta. Ograničenja. Ograničenje je nedostatak postojećih istraživanja patentnih pokazatelja u Hrvatskoj. Iako patentni citati ukazuju na povezanost sveučilišta i industrijskog sektora, za dubinsku analizu transfera znanja i tehnologije potrebno je koristiti i dodatne indikatore kao što su broj ugovora koje sveučilišta imaju s industrijom, broj konferencija u suradnji s industrijom, broj licenci, spin-off Tvrtki sveučilišta i sl. Originalnost/vrijednost. Upravo zbog nedostatka relevantne suvremene literature, kao i izvorno hrvatskih radova s ovom temom, smatramo da je važno osvijestiti ulogu kako citatnih analiza tako i patenta, kao i patentometrije u evaluaciji sveučilišta i njihovom daljnjem razvoju, kao i napredovanju sveučilišnog kadra.

Mogućnosti uporabe IKT tehnologije u AKM zajednici već su dugi niz godina prisutne, a njihove su prednosti brojne. Dostupnost digitaliziranih zbirki putem interneta sve je veća, dok njihova popularizacija uz pomoć sustava geokodiranja poprima nove dimenzije. Iako već sami digitalizirani objekt uz metapodatke pruža dovoljno informacija, s ciljem boljeg razumijevanja i analize važno je pronaći vezu između digitaliziranog objekta i njegove povijesti, odnosno vremena i lokacije njegova nastanka. Sustavi geokodiranja omogućuju povezivanje digitaliziranog sadržaja s njihovom izvornom lokacijom, pružajući na taj način vjerodostojniji opis objekta i mogućnost interaktivnog istraživanja, kako zbirke, tako i same lokacije. Priprema digitalizirane građe, istraživanje i analiza te odabir odgovarajućeg te dostupnog sustava i alata za geokodiranje preduvjeti su za izradu interaktivnih zbirki, koje bez lokacijskog ili vremenskog ograničenja omogućuju dostupnost i povećavaju popularnost zbirke, matične ustanove i izvorne lokacije. Izlaganje donosi uvid u mogućnosti uporabe geokodiranja u knjižničnom okruženju te ostalim baštinskim ustanovama, kao i primjere virtualno dostupne digitalizirane građe.

19. Utjecaj vremenskih prilika i sorte na variranje sadržaja proteina u zrnu pšenice

Sadržaj proteina zrna pšenice je, pored prinosa zrna, najvažnije svojstvo u proizvodnji.Iako nije proteinska kultura, pšenica se smatra značajnim izvorom proteina u prehrani čovjeka jer se konzumira svakodnevno u većim količinama. Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi sadržaj proteina u zrnu deset sorata pšenice tijekom višegodišnjeg razdoblja. Poljski pokusi su postavljeni tijekom petogodišnjeg razdoblja (2015.-2019.) na površinama Poljoprivrednog Instituta Osijek po slučajnom bloknom rasporedu u tri ponavljanja. Korištene su sorte Žitarka, Srpanjka, Golubica, Lucija, Alka, Ficko, Renata, Katarina, Felix i OS Olimpija. Temeljem provedenog istraživanja sorte su ostvarile visokih 13, 3 % proteina u zrnu. Provedenom analizom varijance utvrđena su veća odstupanja između sorti (4, 02 %) nego između ispitivanih godina (1, 80 %), dok je najveće odstupanje uočeno u interakciji godina x sorta (6, 20 %).

Crtež je temeljni alat u rukama krajobraznog arhitekta. Njime se izražavaju ideje, analizira postojeći te osmišlja novi prostorni red. Nedostatak literature o likovnoj analizi krajobraza potaknuo je moj interes. Ideja je da se različite aspekte prostornog doživljaja može izraziti i analizirati crtežom kako bi ih se promišljalo i iskoristilo u procesu projektiranja krajobraza. Literatura o percepciji prostora u arhitekturi i krajobraznoj arhitekturi te o osnovnim tehnikama i principima crteža u arhitekturi i likovnoj umjetnosti iskorištena je kao temelj daljnjeg promišljanja prostora na primjeru odabranog krajobraza. Osnovna struktura sastoji se od: inicijalnih crteža, odabrane lokacije, postojećeg stanja, analize funkcionalnih karakteristika, crteža prostora, likovne analize prostora te sinteze finalnog rješenja. Rezultat rada je likovno vrijedan prikaz projektantskog procesa koji jasno i smisleno komunicira karakteristike prostora te krajobrazno rješenje proizišlo iz likovne analize i promišljanja prostora crtežom. Drawing si the main tool in the hands of a landscape architect. It's a means of expressing ideas, analyzing the existing and creating new spatial order. A lack of literature on the artistic analysis of landscape raised my initial interest. The main idea is that the different aspects of spatial experience can be expressed and analyzed through the medium of drawing, so that they could be contemplated and used in the process of landscape design. Literature on the perception of space in architecture and landscape architecture, as well as on the main principles and techniques of drawing in architecture and fine arts, is the basis of further contemplation of space in a particular selected landscape. The main structure consists of: initial drawings, selected location, existing condition, analysis of functional characteristics, artistic analysis of space and sintesys of a final design. The result is an artistically valuable presentation of the design process that clearly and meaningfully communicates the characteristics of space and a landscape design resulting from artistic analysis and contemplation of space through drawing.

PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) play a crucial role in safeguarding genome integrity by silencing mobile genetic elements. From flies to humans, piRNAs originate from long single-stranded precursors encoded by genomic piRNA clusters. How piRNA clusters form to adapt to genomic invaders and evolve to maintain protection remain key outstanding questions. Here, we generate a roadmap of piRNA clusters across seven species that highlights both similarities and variations. In mammals, we identify transcriptional readthrough as a mechanism to generate piRNAs from transposon insertions (piCs) downstream of genes (DoG). Together with the well-known stress-dependent DoG transcripts, our findings suggest a molecular mechanism for the formation of piRNA clusters in response to retroviral invasion. Finally, we identify a class of dynamic piRNA clusters in humans, underscoring unique features of human germ cell biology. Our results advance the understanding of conserved principles and species-specific variations in piRNA biology and provide tools for future studies.

23. Influence of weather on yield and quality of wheat grain

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi kakav su utjecaj imale vremenske prilike od 2014. do 2019. godine na prinos i svojstva kvalitete 10 različitih sorata pšenice. Rezultati su pokazali da vremenske prilike uzrokuju statistički značajne razlike između ispitivanih parametara. Prinos je bio najmanji 2016. godine zbog viška oborina u vrijeme sjetve i žetve te manjka oborina u fazi vlatanja dok je najveći prinos ostvaren 2017. godine. Kroz svih pet godna, najveći prosječni prinos dale su sorte ficko i žitarka dok je najmanji i najstabilniji prinos imala sorta srpanjka. Najbolju kvalitetu zrna (hektolitarsku masu, masu 1000 zrna, udio proteina, sedimentacijsku vrijednost) imala je sorta OS Olimpija dok je najlošiju imala sorta Alka., The aim of this research was to establish how did weather conditions impact yield and grain quality of 10 diferent wheat varieties in period 2014. – 2019. Results have shown that weather conditions caused statistically significant differences beatween examined parameters. Yield was lowest in 2016. due to to excess precipitation at the time of sowing and harvest and the lack of precipitation in the wilting phase, while the highest yield was achived in 2017. Troughout all five years, the highest average yield was given by the varieties Ficko and Žitarka, while the lowest and most stable yield was given by the variety Srpanjka. The best grain quality (hectoliter weight, 1000 grain weight, protein content, sedimentation value) had the OS Olimpija variety, while Alka had the worst.

26. Physiologically relevant miRNAs in mammalian oocytes are rare and highly abundant.

- Abstract
miRNAs, ~22nt small RNAs associated with Argonaute (AGO) proteins, are important negative regulators of gene expression in mammalian cells. However, mammalian maternal miRNAs show negligible repressive activity and the miRNA pathway is dispensable for oocytes and maternal‐to‐zygotic transition. The stoichiometric hypothesis proposed that this is caused by dilution of maternal miRNAs during oocyte growth. As the dilution affects miRNAs but not mRNAs, it creates unfavorable miRNA:mRNA stoichiometry for efficient repression of cognate mRNAs. Here, we report that porcine ssc‐miR‐205 and bovine bta‐miR‐10b are exceptional miRNAs, which resist the diluting effect of oocyte growth and can efficiently suppress gene expression. Additional analysis of ssc‐miR‐205 shows that it has higher stability, reduces expression of endogenous targets, and contributes to the porcine oocyte‐to‐embryo transition. Consistent with the stoichiometric hypothesis, our results show that the endogenous miRNA pathway in mammalian oocytes is intact and that maternal miRNAs can efficiently suppress gene expression when a favorable miRNA:mRNA stoichiometry is established. Synopsis: MicroRNAs in mammalian oocytes were thought to be inactive due to their low abundance. This work shows that unique exceptionally abundant miRNAs not only exist but also efficiently repress their targets in mammalian oocytes. ssc‐miR‐205 and bta‐miR‐10b accumulate to high numbers and are active in oocytes.The stability of ssc‐miR‐205 likely contributes to its accumulation.ssc‐miR‐205 suppresses endogenous targets, and contributes to the oocyte‐to‐embryo transition. 30. Supply-Side Model of Academic Publishing in Croatia

Aim: The aim of the paper is to research into the scale and structure of recent (2012-2018) subsidized academic publishing in Croatia, with focus on academic books and journals, participation of institutions and publishers, included scientific fields and disciplines, quality and visibility of output, and invested financial means. As a huge majority of Croatian academic production depends on subsidies, such analyses would contribute to the understanding of the academic publishing landscape in general. Methods: The paper is based on the analyses of data from seven years of subventions which Croatian Ministry of Sciences allocates to national academic publishing. Data are analysed for both journal and book publishing. Available are data about author or editor, publisher, publication title, and granted finances - in clearly structured documents publicly accessible at https://mzo.hr/hr/rubrike/znanstveno-izdavacka- djelatnost. Results and Discussion: Supply-side model of publishing is conceived as an opposition to the model of demand – where publisher at his own risk invests in the publication (1). In supply-side model, the publication is pre-financed and thus, factually, in no relation towards sales and marketing. The costs could be covered by authors, their sponsors, or, in this case, by public institution – and resulting publication could be distributed for free, or sold for a low price. All of the publications subsidised by the Ministry of Science should be considered as products of supply-side model, and the deep analyses of granted subsidies provides detailed picture of Croatian academic publishing landscape. Collected data are telling about total allocated financial means (which are growing year after year), rise of the output, distinctions in subventions to academic books and academic journals (which are roughly equal, in contrast to the general perception of rise of the journals on cost of the academic monographs (2)), differences in subventions to publications from different academic fields and disciplines (paradoxically in regard to STEM promotion policies, highest subsidies go to humanities and social sciences), about publishers (public institutions and private enterprises) involved in academic field, including clear insight into the publishing programmes of the most prolific players in the field etc. Additionally, subsidised academic journals are analysed in relation to access policies, substrate (electronic or printed), and presence in relevant databases. The results show continuous growth both in the amount of subsidies and in published titles. In 2016, subsidies for books doubled in relation to 2012. For books, publications from humanities and social sciences received the biggest support, followed by technical sciences, biomedicine, natural sciences, biotechnical sciences and arts. For journals, no such differences are noticed. Most of the subsidies for books is granted to private publishers, while institutions have a primate in journal publishing. Two biggest players – publishers that received highest financial support – are Medicinska naklada and Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences. Geographically, almost all of the Croatian academic publishing is concentrated in Zagreb. Ministry preferred to subsidise journals indexed in relevant databases, and published both in electronic and printed format. Conclusion: Regarding the size of the market, purchasing power of individual buyers targeted by academic publishers (students), and underdeveloped marketing and sales policies for academic publications in Croatia, it could be argued that supply-side model developed by Ministry of sciences makes possible overwhelming majority of publishing projects. Conducted analyses provide detailed insight into this model, including shortcomings such as lack of the evidence for realization of some projects or subsidising journals which, in spite of assistance, cease publishing. The topics – academic publishing and system of subsidies – has rarely been addressed by researchers (3, 4). Thus, this research offers new insights to researchers (e.g. providing knowledge about the scale and structure of academic publishing), gives evaluation possibilities for policymakers (e.g. to design the tools for monitoring and improving the system of public subsidies), and provide comparable perspective for national academic publishing in the context of European academic publishing setting.

32. University–Industry Collaboration in Croatia: Co-Authorship Analysis

Aim: The aim of this research was to measure the relationship between the Croatian academic and industry sectors. Methods: Method used in this research was co- authorship analysis. Analysing co-authored publications has become the standard way of measuring research collaborations (1). The research papers produced in university-industry collaborations tend to be co-authored by scientists from both institutions. In an analysis of the institutional affiliations of the authors of such papers, a link is found between the two institutions. This type of collaboration is sometimes denoted as formal collaboration (2), but can also indicate the achievement of access to an often informal network. It can be viewed as a successful scientific collaboration among institutions, while also indicating diffusion of knowledge and skills (3). The advantages of assessing research collaborations through co- authorships are that the indicator is quantifiable and invariant, the measurement does not affect the collaboration process and the analysis is relatively inexpensive. Although some forms of university-industry collaboration do not generate co-authored papers and some co- authored papers do not reflect actual collaboration (1, 4), analysis of co-authorship is the most often indicator used for measuring research collaborations, evidently because it offers notable advantages in counter point to the limitations (4). Co-authorship as indicator of university-industry collaboration is also used in several world university rankings, such as the freely available web-based Leiden Ranking and in U-Multirank (5, 6). Aggregate-level data on countries is used for European Commission’s Innovation Union Scoreboard and the U21 university association’s Ranking of National Higher Education Systems (5). This research find averages of research papers Croatian public universities and research institutes co- authored with industry sector from 2011. to 2016. Those averages are compared to the global average. Croatian universities averages were also compared to those of biggest regional general public universities. Furthermore, research areas in which most of the Croatian university-industry occur and the companies which collaborate most with Croatian universities were identified. The data for this research is extracted from InCites, a Clarivate Analitics citation-based evaluation tool that gathers data from the Web of Science Core Collection database. During the time of this research, InCites held data for seven Croatian public universities (University of Zagreb, University of Split, University of Rijeka, University of J. J. Strossmayer Osijek, University of Zadar, University of Dubrovnik and University of Juraj Dobrila Pula) and six Croatian research institutes (Ruđer Bošković Institute, Institute for Medical Research & Occupational Health, Institute of Physics Zagreb, Croatian Institute of Oceanography & Fisheries, Croatian Academy of Sciences & Arts and Croatian Forest Research Institute). Those twelve institutions were included in this research. Results and Discussion: The results showed that industry co-authorship averages of all Croatian universities and research institutes, with exception of University of Split, are below the global average. As much as three universities (University of Zadar, University of Dubrovnik and University of Juraj Dobrila Pula) and four research institutes (Institute of Physics Zagreb, Croatian Institute of Oceanography & Fisheries, Croatian Academy of Sciences & Arts, CroatianForest Research Institute) had no research papers co-authored with industry sector. Both Ruđer Bošković Institute and Institute for Medical Research & Occupational Health are under the global average. Only exception was the year 2011., when Institute for Medical Research & Occupational Health was slightly above the global average. In the comparison of 15 regional general public universities University of Split was in the third place, University of Zagreb in eleventh, University of Rijeka in twelfth and University of J. J. Strossmayer Osijek in the last place. Most collaboration between Croatian public universities and industry sector occurred in research areas from the fields of medicine and computer science. From those fields also came corporations that have co- authorship most papers in collaboration with Croatian universities: GlaxoSmithKline, Ericsson, Novo Nordiks, Pfizer, Roche Holding etc. Conclusion: Co-authorship analysis suggests that there is only a weak link between Croatian public universities and industry sector. The link is even weaker between Croatian public research institutes and industry sector. The only exception is the University of Split, with co- authorship averages above the global average and above most of regional universities. Most university-industry collaboration occur in the field of medicine and information science, and most corporations that collaborate with Croatian universities come from those fields. Conclusions that came from this analysis are based on one indicator, co-authorship of research papers. Additional research, such as patentometric analysis, is required to validify the results of this research.

Zadatak ovog rada je bio napraviti sustav za nadzor akvarija koji je baziran na platformi Arduino. Na početku ovog rada sam napravio pregled tehnologije u akvaristici kako bi čitatelj bolje mogao shvatiti što sve u jednom akvariju može poći po zlu, a kasnije i funkcionalnost ovog sklopa. Na temelju opisanih potencijalnih problema do kojih može doći u akvariju odabrana su tri senzora koja će biti uključena u sklop. Prvi senzor je digitalni termometar za mjerenje temperature. Drugi senzor je sonda za detekciju vode. Treći senzor služi za detekciju razine vode. U dijelu rada posvećenom Arduinu su objašnjene osnove rada sa samim sklopom i njegovom programskom potporom. Svaki korišten senzor je detaljno opisan, objašnjena je njegova funkcionalnost, način spajanja, te nužne programske instrukcije za rad. U sklop je ugrađen i GSM modul koje šalje odgovarajuće SMS obavijesti. Na kraju je sklop oklopljen u posebno izrađeno kućište. The main goal of this assignment was to create an Arduino based aquarium surveillance system. After the arguments for building this system have been made, it is concluded that the system will monitor an aquarium with the help of three sensors. A temperature sensor, a water leak detection sensor, and a water level sensor. Each sensor triggers a different alarm, and in case if nobody is at home sends an SMS message to the owner of the aquarium. The circuit is encased in a custom made box.

Izgradnja i opremanje zaštićenih prostora predstavlja značajnu investiciju, a zbog ekonomske situacije poslijednjih nekoliko godina proizvođači su vrlo malo investirali u izgradnju novih ili opremanje postojećih zaštićenih prostora. Ulaskom Republike Hrvatske u Europsku Uniju te donošenjem Programa ruralnog razvoja Republike Hrvatske 2014. – 2020. otvara se mogućnost sufinanciranja navedenih investicija kroz operativne programe što uvelike olakšava proizvođačima ulaganja u nove objekte i opremu. U radu je prikazana problematika izrade projektno-tehničke dokumentacije neophodne za izgradnju i opremanje plastenika za hidroponski uzgoj rajčice tvrtke EUROLAP HORVAT d.o.o., za koju se planira sufinanciranje iz Mjere 4.1. Programa ruralnog razvoja 2014. – 2020. Potrebna dokumentacija je prikupljena temeljem važećeg Pravilnika (NN 7/15) i Vodiča za korisnike Programa ruralnog razvoja Republike Hrvatske 2014. – 2020. Prijedlog ugrađene opreme i hidroponske tehnologije uzgoja rajčice u zaštićenom prostoru izrađen je na temelju literaturnih podataka i konzultacija te savjeta proizvođača i izvođača opreme. The construction and equipping of the greenhouses is a significant investment, and due to the economic situation in the last several years, producers have invested little in the construction or equipping of the existing protected areas. After Croatia’s accession to the European Union and after adopting a Rural Development Program of the Republic of Croatia 2014 - 2020, there is now a possibility to co-finance the said investments through operating programs, which in turn makes it easier for producers to invest in the new facilities and equipment. This research has shown the problem of making a project-technical documentation necessary for the construction and equipping of greenhouses for a hydroponic production of tomatoes of the company EUROLAP HORVAT Ltd., which is planned to be co-financed from the Measure 4.1 of the Rural Development Program of the Republic of Croatia 2014 - 2020. The documentation for the equipment and the hydroponic technology for the production of tomatoes in protected areas was made based on literature data and consultations and advice of the producers and equipment contractors.

38. Bioakumulacija i utjecaj srebrnih nanočestica na unutarstaničnu raspodjelu metala i metalotioneine u gujavice Eisenia fetida (Savigny, 1826)

Gujavica Eisenia fetida izlagana je povišenoj koncentraciji nanočestica odnosno ionskog srebra (AgNO3). Uspoređen je stupanj bioakumulacije te su praćene sličnosti i razlike u subcelularnoj i citosolnoj distribuciji srebra nakon izlaganja. Također je istraživan potencijal oba oblika srebra za pobudnu sintezu metalotioneina te utjecaj na raspodjelu nekoliko esencijalnih elemenata (Cu, Zn, Mn, Fe, Co, Mo i Se) i Cd između citosola i netopljive frakcije tkiva gujavica. Također je napravljena analiza distribucije srebra i ostalih elemenata između citosolnih liganda različite molekulske mase razdvojenih pomoću SE-HPLC. Pokazano je da kod oba oblika srebra dolazi do bioakumulacije u tkivima gujavica. Razina bioakumulacije nekoliko je puta veća kod ionskog oblika. Postoje vidljive razlike u unutarstaničnoj i citosolnoj raspodjeli srebra između dva oblika. Nanočestice ne induciraju sintezu metalotioneina, a ionsko srebro ju inducira tek pri najvećoj koncetraciji izlaganja, no dio unutarstaničnog srebra vezan je na postojeće metalotioneine u stanici. Kvantitativne i kvalitativne promjene u unutarstaničnoj distribuciji esencijalnih elemenata željeza, kobalta i molibdena pokazuju potencijal kao biomarkeri izloženosti nanočesticama odnosno ionskom srebru. Earthworm Eisenia fetida was exposed to increased concentrations of silver in nanoparticle and ionic (AgNO3) form. The comparison of bioaccumulation between two forms of silver, along with comparison of similarities and differences in subcellular and cytosolic distribution of silver after exposure were made. The potential of both silver forms to induce the synthesis of metallothioneins and change the distribution of chosen essential elements (Cu, Zn, Mn, Fe, Co, Mo, Se) and Cd between the particulate (pellet) and cytosolic fraction of E. fetida tissue was investigated. The distribution of chosen elements among different molecular mass cytosolic fractions separated by size exclusion HPLC was also analysed. It was shown that both silver forms accumulate in earthworm tissues. Bioaccumulation levels were higher in earthworms exposed to ionic silver when compared to nanoparticle silver. There are significant differences in cellular and cytosolic distribution of silver between these two forms of exposure. Silver nanoparticles are not inducing metallothionein synthesis while ionic silver induces it, but only in the highest concentration of exposure. Part of intracellular silver is bound to metallothioneins which are already expressed in cells. The quantitative and qualitative differences in intracellular distribution of essential elements iron, cobalt and molybdenum show potential as biomarkers of nanoparticle and ionic silver form exposure.

U diplomskom radu obrazložena su osnovna svojstva zvuka, građa violine te način na koji violina vrši pretvorbu energije i reproducira zvuk. Također, navedene su tehnike sviranja i osnovne akustičke kvalitete violine. U drugom dijelu opisano je mjerenje objektivnih i subjektivnih parametara. Predstavljeni su i opisani rezultati istraživanja te je provedena analiza korelacije između tih parametara. Ispitivanje je provedeno na 7 različitih violina i određeni su bitni akustički parametri kao što je spektar zvuka, usmjerenost u slobodnom polju te dinamički raspon violina. In the course of my thesis, elementary characteristics of sound, the structure of a violin and the way a violin performs energy conversion and reproduces sound were explained. Also, techniques of playing and basic acoustic qualities of a violin were stated. In the second part a measurement of objective and subjective parameters was described. Results of research were introduced and described and an analysis of the correlation between these parameters was carried out. The test was conducted on 7 different violins and important acoustic parameters like range of sound, polar characteristic in the free field and dynamic range of the violins was determined.

Makrofiti su biljke koje rastu djelomično ili potpuno u vodi. Prema smještaju i načinu rasta u vodenom okolišu mogu se podijeliti na submerzne makrofite, makrofite ukorijenjene na dnu s plutajućim listovima, makrofite s listovima koji izlaze iz vode i slobodno plutajuće makrofite. Pod pojmom makrofita obuhvaćene su međusobno vrlo različite i nesrodne skupine te u njih ubrajamo vrste koje pripadaju sjemenjačama, papratnjačama, mahovinama i parožinama. Najvažnije prilagodbe makrofita na vodeni okoliš su aerenhim, slabija lignifikacija, tanka kutikula, povećanje površine submerznih listova, hidropoti te posebni enzimski mehanizmi za primanje ugljikovog dioksida. U ovom radu ukratko su opisani abiotički čimbenici koji utječu na rast i sastav zajednice makrofita (prozirnost vode, temperatura vode, sadržaj hranjivih tvari, osobine supstrata i kretanja vode). Također, najčešće vrste makrofita u Hrvatskoj podijeljene su prema smještaju u vodenom okolišu te su unutar tih ekoloških klasa opisane neke od važnijih zajednica. Macrophytes are plants that grow partially or fully submersed in water. Considering their habitat and growth form they can be classified as submersed macrophytes, macrophytes rooted underwater with floating leaves, macrophytes with leaves above water and free-floating macrophytes. Term macrophyte includes species from very different and phylogenetically unrelated groups (spermatophytes, pteridophytes, bryophytes and charophytes). The most important traits that help macrophtyes to adapt to their habitat include aerenchyma, poor lignification, thin cuticle, increased submersed leaf surface, hydropotes and special enzymatic mechanism for carbon dioxide uptake. This paper reviews abiotic parameters that affect growth and occurrence of macrophytes (water transparency, water temperature, water nutrition content, substrate characteristics and water movements). Also, most common macrophyte species that occur in Croatia are classified by their habitats and in that classes the most important plant associations are described.
