This study aims to analyse the actual business process applied in the Capital Investment Agency and One-Stop Licensing Centre of Aceh Province, mainly on issuing a fishery business permit. The institution has established 240 working hours (equivalent to 14,400 minutes) to issue the permit based on the SOP (standard operating procedures). However, a field observation showed that the actual process time exceed up to 600 hours (equivalent to 37,104 minutes). To investigate the gap and analyse the business process activities, this study employs Business Process Improvement (BPI) which consists of phase 1: organizing for improvement, phase 2: understanding the process, and phase 3: streamlining. This study occupies Bizagi Modeler to build and simulate a systematic business process model according to Business Process Modelling and Notation (BPMN). Based on the simulation process, the actual business process resulted 110 activities with total time 37,104 minutes, while the redesign model resulted 72 activities with total time 197.25 working hours (equivalent to 11,835 minutes). The redesign model further measured using devil’s quadrangle and obtained 68.11% efficiency. The efficiency aligns with better flexibility and service quality improvement.

One Village One Product (OVOP) merupakan salah satu strategi pengembangan potensi produk unggulan Industri Kecil dan Menengah (IKM). Di Provinsi Aceh, OVOP Banda Aceh merupakan pilot project yang dilaksanakan untuk membentuk sentra-sentra unggulan IKM, salah satunya adalah Sentra OVOP IKM Keumamah yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Lampulo, Kecamatan Kuta Alam, Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi alternatif strategi pengembangan industri yang diterapkan di Sentra IKM Keumamah Lampulo menggunakan SWOT dan menentukan strategi prioritas pengembangan industri menggunakan matriks QSPM. Dari hasil penyusunan matriks SWOT diperoleh tujuh alternatif strategi pengembangan industri diantaranya adalah mempertahankan kualitas dan mempromosikan produk, meningkatkan SDM, membentuk tim pemasaran, pembentukan paguyuban (organisasi sosial), menetapkan harga produk yang bersaing, negosiasi harga bahan baku dengan pemasok secara win-win solution, menggunakan alat produksi yang inovatif dan tepat guna, menciptakan inovasi produk. Sedangkan hasil penyusunan matriks QSPM diperoleh bahwa strategi pengembangan industri yang diprioritaskan adalah membentuk paguyuban (asosiasi) dengan nilai TAS 6,340.

Biodisel dianggap energi alternatif yang ramah lingkungan dan dapat diperbaharui secara terus-menerus, karena bersumber dari tumbuhan dan minyak mikroorganisme oleaginous, seperti ; minyak biji Pohon Jarak Pagar (Jatropa Curcas), Ganggang (Algae), Khamir/Ragi (Yeast). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih sumber bahan baku biodiesel yang paling optimal dan bernilai ekonomis untuk dikembangkan. Metode pengambilan keputusan yang digunakan adalah Analitic Network Process (ANP), dengan enam kriteria untuk memilih bahan baku biodiesel yaitu kualitas dan ketersediaan bahan baku, karakteristik lahan produksi, proses produksi, lingkungan hidup, faktor ekonomi dan pasar, dan faktor pemerintah. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa bahan baku biodiesel dari minyak tanaman jarak pagar (Jatropa Curcas) merupakan sumber bahan baku yang paling potensi untuk dikembangkan dibandingkan dengan dua sumber bahan baku biodiesel lainnya yaitu Ganggang (Algae) dan Khamir/Ragi (Yeast).

Kualitas layanan operasional BCA Banda Aceh akan menuju kepada layanan yang lebih baik dalam rangka menjaga konsistensi dan peningkatan kualitas layanannya. Berdasarkan urgensi diatas penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kualitas layanan serta melakukan perbaikan kualitas layanan yang optimal sehingga akan menjadi salah satu bank dengan kualitas layanan yang terbaik. Untuk meningkatkan dan menstabilkan kualitas layanan yang dimaksud tersebut, maka peneliti memilih konsep mengintegrasikan 3 (tiga) metode, yaitu: (i) SERVQUAL, pada metode ini penelitian melakukan penyebaran kuesioner sebanyak 118 responden kepada nasabah-nasabah dengan kriteria-kriterianya berdasarkan; jenis kelamin, jenis transakasi, dan lain-lain yang berkaitan dimana, indikator-indikator pada kuesioner yang dirancangkan tersebut berdasarkan dimensi kualitas layanan yang sesuai dengan metode SERVQUAL yang meliputi: tangible , reliability , responsiveness , assurance , dan empathy . Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan analisa kuadran Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) untuk mengidentifikasi atribut-atribut yang menjadi prioritas pada peningkatan kualitas. (ii) Penerapan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD), QFD dengan menggunakan matriks House of Quality (HoQ), hal ini akan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan dari hasil analisa QFD dengan cara memberikan nilai persentase normalized contribution tertinggi yang menjadi prioritas rekomendasi dari objek tersebut melalui konsep Kaizen ; (iii) Pemilihan metode Kaizen pada objek penelitian ini merupakan metode yang sesuai diterapkan untuk tujuan peningkatan kualitas layanan terutama pada bagian operasional dimana, metode ini dapat mengurangi waste (pemborosan) pada proses kerja Teller dan CSO sehingga layanan menjadi lebih cepat dan tepat. Penerapan ketiga metode ini akan menberikan hasil yang optimal terhadap peningkatan nilai kualitas layanan operasional pada BCA Banda Aceh.

Dengan diterbitkannya surat Gubernur Aceh Nomor 541/619/2017 tanggal 16 Juni 2017 yang ditujukan kepada Bupati dan Walikota se-Aceh, disebutkan bahwa Harga Eceran Tertinggi LPG tabung 3 kg yang berada dalam radius 60 km dari depot Pertamina atau Stasiun Pengisian Pengangkut Bulk Elpiji (SPPBE) sebesar Rp.18.000,-/tabung atau mengalami kenaikan dari sebelumnya Rp.16.000,-/tabung, sedangkan bagi Kabupaten/kota yang secara geografis terletak diluar radius tersebut, Harga Eceran Tertinggi di Pangkalan/Sub Penyalur ditetapkan oleh Pemerintah Derah setempat. Sistem distribusi LPG 3 kg dikendalikan oleh kebijakan pemerintah yang mengatur setiap entitas rantai pasok dimana pelaksanaannya selalu dikendalikan dan diawasi. Sistem ini didistribusikan dengan system tertutup (outbound Chanel), terdiri atas Stasiun Pengangkutan dan Pengisian Bulk Elpiji (SPPBE), serta Distribution Channel (Agen dan Pangkalan/ Sub Agen). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan harga Harga Eceran Tertinggi yang proporsional sebagai saran dan acuan bagi Pemerintah Kabupaten Aceh Jaya dalam mengambil atau menentukan kebijakan tentang harga Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) tabung 3 kg bersubsidi. Hasil analisis data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan program Solver menunjukkan bahwa alur distribusi optimal dari Supplay Point Meulaboh hanya sampai pada kecamatan Setia Bakti, dan Supply Point Indrapuri hanya sampai kecamatan Darul Hikmah, dengan biaya minimum transportasi sebesar Rp. 203.145.250,- per bulan. Harga Eceran Tertinggi untuk masing-masing kecamatan berbeda-beda sedangkan rata-rata Harga Eceran Tertinggi mencapai Rp. 20.200,-/tabung.

Komoditas nilam (Pogostemon cablin) merupakan tanaman yang menghasilkan minyak atsiri dengan nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Indonesia merupakan salah satu penghasil minyak nilam terbesar di dunia dengan Aceh Jaya sebagai salah satu kontributor dengan kualitas terbaik. Ekspor komoditas minyak nilam pada masa yang akan datang masih sangat prospektif seiring dengan semakin tingginya permintaan untuk bahan baku produk turunannya. Hal ini harus mampu diiringi dengan pengembangan budidaya dan industri minyak nilam yang memadai di Aceh Jaya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka diperlukan suatu rantai pasok yang efektif dan efisien dalam mengembangkan komoditas minyak nilam untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar dunia secara tepat waktu dan dapat menguntungkan bagi pelaku usaha minyak nilam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Merancang model rantai pasok minyak nilam di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya untuk menghasilkan alternatif yang terbaik, (2) Menganalisa faktor, pelaku dan alternatif skenario untuk membentuk manajemen rantai pasok minyak nilam yang efektif dan efisien di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya dengan pendekatan AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) dan Software Expert Choice 11 sebagai alat untuk menganalisis. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap dan setiap tahap akan menggunakan alat analisis yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui mekanisme rantai pasok adalah deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan metode untuk mengetahui alternatif skenario adalah analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Hasil penelitian diperoleh model rantai pasok minyak nilam di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya adalah dari petani minyak nilam, pengumpul tingkat Desa, pengumpul tingkat Kabupaten, koperasi KINA hingga pembeli akhir. Manajemen rantai pasok minyak nilam yang efisien diperoleh alternatif skenario yang terpilih adalah memfasilitasi sarana dan prasarana untuk petani.

Manajemen supply chain yang tidak maksimal akan mempengaruhi kinerja suatu perusahaan. Di Aceh Tengah terdapat suatu koperasi yaitu Koperasi Baitul Qiradh (KBQ) Baburrayyan yang sudah menerapkan manajemen supply chain. Koperasi ini bergerak di bisnis perdagangan biji kopi (green bean). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kinerja supply chain dari KBQ Baburrayyan. Metode yang digunakan adalah SCOR® dengan praktik perbaikan Convergence of SCOR® with Lean and Six Sigma. Target kinerja yang diperoleh untuk total cost to serve adalah sebesar 94,71% dari nilai target 65,00% dan untuk return on supply chain fixed asset adalah sebesar 1,60 dari nilai target 2,50. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penggunaan praktik tersebut adalah terdapat 8 akar penyebab waste di antaranya kurangnya tenaga pengawas, training/briefing belum maksimal, kurangnya kepedulian tentang pentingnya K3, layout yang kurang efisien, belum adanya unit penyuluhan, alat yang masih sederhana, pekerjaan yang monoton, dan tidak dilarang secara tegas. Supply chain management that is not optimal will affect the performance of a company. In Central Aceh there is a cooperative namely Koperasi Baitul Qiradh (KBQ) Baburrayyan which has implemented supply chain management. This cooperative is engaged in the business of trading in green beans. This study aims to measure the supply chain performance of KBQ Baburrayyan. The method used is SCOR® with the practice of improving Convergence of SCOR® with Lean and Six Sigma. The performance target for total cost to serve is 94.71% of the target value of 65.00% and the return on supply chain fixed assets is 1.60 of the target value of 2.50. The results obtained from the use of the practice are that there are 8 root causes of waste including lack of supervisors, training / briefing is not maximal, lack of concern about the importance of K3, inefficient layouts, absence of extension units, simple tools, monotonous work, and not strictly prohibited.

This study delivers the analysis of business process of the nutmeg oil production process in a small and medium enterprise (SME) in South Aceh using Business Process Improvement (BPI). This study analyses the pre-refining, refining and post refining activities of the nutmeg oil production process based on economics, labour, and technology aspects. This study carries out 3 phases of BPI which are organizing for improvement, understanding the process, and streamlining. This study reveals activity efficiency from 31 (on the as-is model) to 26 (on the to-be-model). The activities are further analysed using Devil’s Quadrangle, particularly for cost and time dimensions. As a result of the new technology implementation being proposed, the fixed cost has increased by 48.33%, the variable cost has decreased by 47.64% and time has improved by 33.33%. Moreover, this study provides a recommendation to implement the to-be-model of the business process as an SOP for the nutmeg oil production process in South Aceh SMEs.

Supply chain characteristics in the agricultural industry differ from the industry in general, the structure is more complex and unique according to its agricultural commodities. All of the aspects starting from the upstream are very important to consider because of their dependence on the suitability of the environment and the processes that are carried out on the pre-source. Patchouli oil industry which is mainly located in Aceh Jaya Regency is the object of this study due to the fact it is the largest supplier of patchouli oil in Aceh Province. It is estimated that patchouli oil which is one of the superior local wisdom product is becoming an interesting subject again. This is indicated by several local products that use it as the main raw material. Certainly, this will be difficult to be applied if the supply chain from the upstream to the downstream is not evaluated and upgraded. For this reason, it is necessary to do a mapping process on the vulnerable side, including pre-source, source, make, and deliver. This mapping used the SCOR method version 12.0 and adapted to the make-to-stock industry scheme. The output of this study is a reliable and measurable process system in the patchouli oil industry.

Nowadays, the process of delivering goods or documents from one place to another can be done faster by utilizing a courier service. This courier must be able to create a travel route to pick goods and deliver them with a short time. Route creation will be more difficult if there is a time window for each customer and the goods being transported are heavy or dangerous items. In this case, the courier company must implement a last-in-first-out rules. In addition, with the limitation of vehicles number, companies have to minimize the number of underserved customers. This problem called pickup and delivery problem with last-in-first-out, time duration, and limited vehicle number. In this study, to solve the problem, simulated annealing algorithm was used for some dataset. To explore the solution space for the problem, this algorithm will use pair relocation operator. In several experiments, the results show a good solution and short computation time.

Frozen tuna is a perishable product that sensitive to temperature changing, therefore a good cold chain system is needed. As a part of the supply chain, cold chain system aims to maintain the temperature of the product in order to keep its quality from upstream to downstream. There are various problems encounter the cold chain process that effected to the streamline. In consequence, it is important to build a continuous improvement to reduce the risk in the cold chain. The aims of this research are to discover the risk that can be found on the cold chain process, what is the causes, and the connection between both risks and its causes. This matter to develop risk management system on frozen tuna products in Aceh. This research using House of Risk (HOR) method to capture the most critical risk and risk management system is carried out Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) by Mamdani approach. The results of risk evaluation using HOR phase 1 show that there are 2 risks from 20 existing agents and 33 risk events that must be managed with the risk management, namely human errors and temperature during initial handling that is not according to standard.

The increasing amount of waste every year leads to the increasing capacity load and the decreasing life cycle of the landfill. In Banda Aceh, the official landfill is no longer able to accommodate garbage by 2018. Thus, in order to reduce the load on the landfill, waste reduction activities from sources must be conducted as mandated in the constitution UU No.18 2008. TPS 3R (Waste Processing Facility Reduce Reuse Recycle) is introduced by Ministry of Public Works as a waste management system from its source in villages. It has been planned to be built at several points in Banda Aceh villages, including Rukoh. In order to achieve the target of waste reduction according to Permen PU No.3 2013 and the Government of Aceh by 30% in 2020, the appropriate TPS 3R specification is required to achieve such number. In this research, system dynamics modelling and simulation using software Stella Architect used to develop the best-case scenario for waste management system in Rukoh Village in the form of TPS 3R. The main result is that the facility should be built with combination of 1 unit of composter, 2 units of plastic counters, and minimum participation of 131 households.

Graphene with its exceptional properties in particular the mechanical ones: strength and flexibility, has been found potentially applicable to improve performance of composite materials. Graphene composites is expected to be lighter yet provide more strength, much stronger than steel. This meets the growing demand in the automotive sector which requires lightweight as well as energy efficient and safe vehicles (EESVs) in order to reduce CO2 emission and achieve more fuel economy of the vehicles. Hence, it is suggested to be applied in structural applications for automobiles. However, its scalability for massive production scale is still under investigation. It encounters challenges such as high manufacturing cost, feasible fabrication techniques, as well as safety issues. This study elaborates further the industrial perspectives on the implementation of graphene composites in automotive industry. The analysis in this study emphasises on three different aspects of innovation management: business ecosystem, PESTEL analysis, and scenario planning. The results of this study reveal key partners as well as potential competitors from the insights of business ecosystem, and two major concerns from PESTEL analysis and scenario planning: sustainable supply chains and quality of the graphene composites.

The aim of this study is to determine the interfacial adhesion of Arenga Pinnata fiber and epoxy matrix after undergoing a tensile test. The specimens of Arenga Pinnata fiber reinforced epoxy composites were prepared at various fiber weights of 10%, 15% and 20% with different fiber orientations such as woven roving, long random and chopped random. Hand lay up process was used to prepare the specimens. Interfacial fiber-matrix adhesion study was carried out using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The interfacial adhesion study of tensile strength specimens of Arenga Pinnata fiber reinforced composites reveals that the woven roving fiber composites gave good interface adhesion between the fiber and the matrix as compared to long random and chopped random fiber reinforced epoxy composites.

The aim of this study is to determine the tensile properties of Arenga pinnata fiber as a natural fiber and epoxy resin as a matrix. The Arenga pinnata fibers were mixed with epoxy resin at the various fiber weight percentages of 10%, 15%, and 20% Arenga pinnata fiber and with different fiber orientations such as long random, chopped random, and woven roving. Hand lay-up processes in this experiments were to produce specimen test with the curing time for the composite plates is in the room temperature (25–30°C). Results from the tensile tests of Arenga pinnata fiber reinforced epoxy composite are that the 10 wt.% woven roving Arenga pinnata fiber showed the highest value for maximum tensile properties. The tensile strength and Young's modulus values for 10 wt.% of woven roving Arenga pinnata fiber composite are 51.725 MPa and 1255.825 MPa, respectively. A study of manpower consideration to reduce development time for new model in automotive industry is presented in this study. The approach taken are by studying the existing practice in car development and suggesting various ways for manpower improvement such as through early involvement and input from manufacturing personnel, the proper job scope structure, proper training to the new staffs to accomplish an important task at the specific timing and clear definition of criteria for a Project Manager's appointment.
