Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is potentially associated with fetal growth retardation (FGR) through alleviating maternal inflammation and its linkage with several pregnancy complications. Thus, this study detected RvD1 levels at different trimesters of pregnancy, aiming to investigate its role in predicting FGR risk of elderly pregnant women. This prospective, observational cohort study enrolled 165 elderly pregnant women aged ≥35 years. Serum RvD1 was detected at 10–13 weeks (early pregnancy), 20–23 weeks (middle pregnancy), and 30–33 weeks (late pregnancy) of gestational week by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RvD1 was varied among different trimesters of pregnancy in elderly pregnant women (p < 0.001). FGR occurred in 25 (15.2%) women in this study. RvD1 at early (p = 0.009), middle (p = 0.002), and late (p = 0.003) pregnancy was decreased in women with FGR versus those without. By multivariate analysis, RvD1 at middle pregnancy (odds ratio (OR): 0.477, p < 0.001), pre-pregnancy body mass index (OR: 0.763, p = 0.025), and gestational diabetes mellitus (yes versus no) (OR: 0.071, p = 0.031) were independently correlated with declined FGR risk. While age (OR: 1.382, p = 0.009) was independently associated with elevated risk of FGR. Furthermore, the combination of these independent factors as a predictive model exhibited a good potential for assessing FGR risk (area under the curve: 0.802, 95% confidence interval: 0.711–0.894). In conclusion, RvD1 at different trimesters of pregnancy is negatively linked with the risk of FGR, whose level at middle pregnancy serves as an independent factor for FGR risk in elderly pregnant women. In this study, we aim to assess dynamical downscaling simulations by utilizing a novel bias-corrected global climate model (GCM) data to drive a regional climate model (RCM) over the Asia-western North Pacific region. Three simulations were conducted with a 25-km grid spacing for the period 1980–2014. The first simulation (WRF_ERA5) was driven by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis 5 (ERA5) dataset and served as the validation dataset. The original GCM dataset (MPI-ESM1-2-HR model) was used to drive the second simulation (WRF_GCM), while the third simulation (WRF_GCMbc) was driven by the bias-corrected GCM dataset. The bias-corrected GCM data has an ERA5-based mean and interannual variance and long-term trends derived from the ensemble mean of 18 CMIP6 models. Results demonstrate that the WRFGCMbc significantly reduced the root-mean-square errors (RMSEs) of the climatological mean of downscaled variables, including temperature, precipitation, snow, wind, relative humidity, and planetary boundary layer height by 50%–90% compared to the WRF_GCM. Similarly, the RMSEs of interannual-to-interdecadal variances of downscaled variables were reduced by 30%–60%. Furthermore, the WRFGCMbc better captured the annual cycle of the monsoon circulation and intraseasonal and day-to-day variabilities. The leading empirical orthogonal function (EOF) shows a monopole precipitation mode in the WRFGCM. In contrast, the WRF_GCMbc successfully reproduced the observed tri-pole mode of summer precipitation over eastern China. RAB GTPases (RABs) control intracellular membrane trafficking with high precision. In the present study, we carried out a short hairpin RNA (shRNA) screen focused on a library of 62 RABs during infection with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus 2 (PRRSV-2), a member of the family Arteriviridae. We found that 13 RABs negatively affect the yield of PRRSV-2 progeny virus, whereas 29 RABs have a positive impact on the yield of PRRSV-2 progeny virus. Further analysis revealed that PRRSV-2 infection transcriptionally regulated RAB18 through RIG-I/MAVS-mediated canonical NF-κB activation. Disrupting RAB18 expression led to the accumulation of lipid droplets (LDs), impaired LDs catabolism, and flawed viral replication and assembly. We also discovered that PRRSV-2 co-opts chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) for lipolysis via RAB18, as indicated by the enhanced associations between RAB18 and perlipin 2 (PLIN2), CMA-specific lysosomal associated membrane protein 2A (LAMP2A), and heat shock protein family A (Hsp70) member 8 (HSPA8/HSC70) during PRRSV-2 infection. Knockdown of HSPA8 and LAMP2A impacted on the yield of PRRSV-2 progeny virus, implying that the virus utilizes RAB18 to promote CMA-mediated lipolysis. Importantly, we determined that the C-terminal domain (CTD) of HSPA8 could bind to the switch II domain of RAB18, and the CTD of PLIN2 was capable of associating with HSPA8, suggesting that HSPA8 facilitates the interaction between RAB18 and PLIN2 in the CMA process. In summary, our findings elucidate how PRRSV-2 hijacks CMA-mediated lipid metabolism through innate immune activation to enhance the yield of progeny virus, offering novel insights for the development of anti-PRRSV-2 treatments. Author summary: Two species of arteriviruses, a family of RNA viruses, can cause severe reproductive disorders and respiratory diseases in infected piglets that result in significant economic losses in the swine industry. The respective viruses conventionally known as PRRSV-1 and PRRSV-2 exhibit high genetic variability and immune evasion capabilities, which complicate the development of effective vaccines and control measures. In this study, we have described a unique mechanism by which PRRSV-2 infection stimulates RAB18 expression through RIG-I/MAVS-mediated canonical NF-κB activation. RAB18 then recruits HSPA8 and PLIN2 for CMA-mediated degradation and subsequent lipolysis, facilitating viral replication and assembly. Multichannel marketing has become the norm for distributing goods and services, and manufacturers and distributors operate in various channel organization forms. Drawing on transaction cost theory and governance value analysis, this study introduces channel organization forms as focal design elements of multichannel settings and aims to align governance mechanisms with these forms. Survey data are gathered from four sub-samples of 295 Chinese manufacturers. Ordinary least squares regression analysis is used to test the hypotheses. Depending on the multichannel design of manufacturers, the performance effects of contractual, normative, and authoritative mechanisms vary in the four channel organization forms: corporate, franchised, managerial, and relational. Moreover, in each organization form, there is a specific governance mechanism that positively affects cooperation performance, indicating alignment. This study advances governance literature by demonstrating the alignment between channel organization forms and governance mechanisms, while the channel organization form serves as a contextual factor that explains the inconsistency of performance effects of governance mechanisms. In addition, extending prior research comparing differences between multichannel and nonmultichannel settings, this study explores variation within a multichannel context from a channel-organization-form perspective. It is critically enlightening and instructive for manufacturers to choose governance mechanisms based on their channel organization forms and thus improve cooperation performance within multichannel settings. • The MRI diagnosis rate for cervical OPLL was inferior to CT scan. • A novel MR T1 & T2 LQ score provides objective value for diagnosing operated OPLL. • T1 LQ score correlated with Hounsfield Units. • The T1 LQ score achieved an AUC of 0.932 with an objective value of 0.467. No method currently exists for MRI-based determination of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) of the cervical spine using objective criteria. The purpose of this study was to develop an MRI-based score to determine whether a lesion represents a cervical OPLL lesion and to establish the objective diagnostic value. Retrospective cohort in a single medical institution. Thirty-five patients undergoing surgery for OPLL (Group A) and 99 patients undergoing cervical disc arthroplasty for soft disc herniation (Group B) between 2011 and 2020 were retrospectively included. All OPLL lesions on unenhanced MRI scan were correlated with a corresponding CT scan. Demographics were comparable between the two groups. Using unenhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the T1- and T2- lesion quality (LQ) scores were calculated. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was performed to calculate the area-under-the-curve (AUC) of both LQ scores as a predictor of the presence of OPLL. Computed tomography (CT)-based Hounsfield unit (HU) values of OPLL lesions were obtained and compared with both LQ scores. The LQ scores for MRI scanners from different manufacturers were compared using Student's t test to confirm the validity of the LQ score by scanner type. The regions of interest for signal intensity (SI) were defined as the darkest site of the lesion and the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) at the cerebellomedullary cistern. The T1 and T2 LQ scores were measured as the ratio of the SI at the darkest site of the lesion divided by the SI of the CSF. The T1 and T2 LQ scores in Group A were significantly lower than those in Group B (p<.001). ROC analysis determined that T1 and T2 LQ scores of 0.46 and 0.07, respectively, could distinguish the presence of OPLL with an accuracy of 0.93 and 0.89, respectively (p<.001). When the T1 LQ score of the lesion is <0.46, a diagnosis of OPLL may be suspected with 100% sensitivity and 92.3% specificity. The HU of the lesion had a moderate negative correlation with the T1 LQ score (r=−0.665, p<.0001). Both LQ scores were unaffected by manufacturer type. This study found a correlation between the MRI-based T1 LQ scores and CT-based HU value for identifying OPLL lesions. Increasing antibiotic resistance is the primary reason for treatment failure of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. To enhance the eradication rate, minimize the development of secondary resistance, and alleviate the socioeconomic burden, it is crucial to select H. pylori‐sensitive antibiotics carefully. Furazolidone has been used for H. pylori eradication in developing countries for decades due to its affordability and low resistance rate. Numerous studies have demonstrated that furazolidone‐containing regimens are more efficacious than those containing other antibiotics, as both first‐ and second‐line therapies, and are also well tolerated. However, utility of furazolidone is restricted or not optimal in certain countries due to its infrequent but potentially severe adverse effects. The decision to discontinue usage of furazolidone because of concerns regarding adverse effects may be misguided. Here we comprehensively reviewed the studies on furazolidone at different dosages and treatment durations for H. pylori eradication. Motor rolling bearings are the important supporting components of motors. It can ensure the stable operation of motor equipment in the power grid, and bearing life prediction of it is a key issue. To solve the problem of low accuracy of remaining useful life (RUL) prediction for motor rolling bearings, a neural network model based on Weibull proportional hazards model (WPHM) and stochastic configuration networks (SCNs) is proposed. To better extract and analyze features of the bearing vibration signal in both time and frequency domains, kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) is used to reduce the dimensionality of the data. Then, a WPHM model using the top three contributing feature parameters is built, which sets the start time based on the failure rate curve and reliability function. Finally, the validity of the model is verified with the rolling bearing full life cycle dataset from the IEEE PHM 2012 Data Challenge, and a comparison with other machine learning models shows that the accuracy of the proposed model in RUL prediction is higher. With the advent of an aging society, Alzheimer's disease (AD) has gradually become a major ailment affecting the elderly. AD is a neurodegenerative disorder associated with cognitive impairments. In AD patients, brain network connections are disrupted, and their topological properties are also affected, leading to the disintegration of anatomical and functional connections. Anatomical connections can be tracked and evaluated using structural magnetic imaging (MRI) and diffusion tensor imaging ( DTI), while functional connections are detected through functional MRI to assess their connectivity status. This review incorporates the findings of previous scholars and summarizes the current research of AD. It mainly discusses the imaging characteristics of large-scale brain network changes in AD patients, so as to provide researchers with scientific and objective imaging markers for AD prediction and early diagnosis, as well as future research. Many forms of childhood glaucoma have been associated with underlying genetic changes, and variants in many genes have been described. Currently, testing is variable as there are no widely accepted guidelines for testing. This systematic review aimed to summarize the literature describing genetic changes and testing practices in childhood glaucoma. This systematic review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines and registered with Prospero (ID CRD42023400467). A comprehensive review of Pubmed, Embase, and Cochrane databases was performed from inception through March 2, 2023 using the search terms: (glaucoma) AND (pediatric OR childhood OR congenital OR child OR infant OR infantile) AND (gene OR genetic OR genotype OR locus OR genomic OR mutation OR variant OR test OR screen OR panel). Information was extracted regarding genetic variants including genotype-phenotype correlation. Risk of bias was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. Of 1,916 records screened, 196 studies met inclusion criteria and 53 genes were discussed. Among study populations, mean age±SD at glaucoma diagnosis was 8.94±9.54 years and 50.4% were male. The most common gene discussed was CYP1B1, evaluated in 109 (55.6%) studies. CYP1B1 variants were associated with region and population-specific prevalence ranging from 5% to 86% among those with primary congenital glaucoma. MYOC variants were discussed in 31 (15.8%) studies with prevalence up to 36% among patients with juvenile open angle glaucoma. FOXC1 variants were discussed in 25 (12.8%) studies, which demonstrated phenotypic severity dependent on degree of gene expression and type of mutation. Overall risk of bias was low; the most common domains of bias were selection and comparability. Numerous genes and genetic changes have been associated with childhood glaucoma. Understanding the most common genes as well as potential genotype-phenotype correlation has the potential to improve diagnostic and prognostic outcomes for children with glaucoma. Inflammation is much more intrinsic to hernia then is what is generally appreciated. The occurrence of hernias is associated with swelling, stress and inflammation. Surgery remains an important intervention to treat hernias and for many years, post-surgical levels of inflammatory cytokines have been evaluated to compare the different strategies for their comparative advantages. All surgical procedures elicit some sort of inflammatory response and moreover the meshes used for hernia repair are also associated with elevated inflammatory response, although some favor predominantly a pro-inflammatory response while the other meshes favor anti-inflammatory response. An estimated more than 90% of hernia repairs involve some meshes with polypropylene considered as the gold standard. Efforts are underway to modulate polypropylene meshes associated inflammation through use of alternative materials as well as modifications to polypropylene meshes themselves. In the last one decade, miRNAs have entered hernia research and the data on a role of miRNAs in different hernias is slowly emerging, providing the first evidence of epigenetics in hernia. Some reports are connecting miRNAs with inflammation in hernia. All these aspects, such as, surgery-related to mesh-related inflammation as well as miRNA-related inflammation, are discussed in this article to present an up-to-date information on the topic. Poly-(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) are a protein family that make ADP-ribose modifications on target genes and proteins. PARP family members contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory diseases, including atherosclerosis, in which monocytes/macrophages play important roles. PARP inhibition is protective against atherosclerosis. However, the mechanisms by which PARP inhibition exerts this beneficial effect are not well understood. Here we show that in THP-1 monocytes, inhibition of PARP by olaparib attenuated oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL)-induced protein expressions of nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain, leucine-rich repeat and pyrin domain-containing-3 (NLRP3) inflammasome components: NLRP3, apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase activation and recruitment domain (ASC), and caspase-1. Consistent with this effect, olaparib decreased oxLDL-enhanced interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18 protein expression. Olaparib also decreased the oxLDL-mediated increase in mitochondrial reactive oxygen species. Similar to the effects of the NLRP3 inhibitor, MCC950, olaparib attenuated oxLDL-induced adhesion of monocytes to cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells and reduced foam cell formation. Furthermore, olaparib attenuated the oxLDL-mediated activation of nuclear factor (NF)-κB through the oxLDL-mediated increase in IκBα phosphorylation and assembly of NF-κB subunits, demonstrated by co-immunoprecipitation of IκBα with RelA/p50 and RelB/p52 subunits. Moreover, PARP inhibition decreased oxLDL-mediated protein expression of a NF-κB target gene, VCAM1, encoding vascular cell adhesion molecule-1. This finding indicates an important role for NF-κB activity in PARP-mediated activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. Thus, PARP inhibition by olaparib attenuates NF-κB and NLRP3 inflammasome activities, lessening monocyte cell adhesion and macrophage foam cell formation. In this paper, we focus on the empirical likelihood in the single-index partially functional linear model. When the response variables or/and part of the covariates are missing at random, we construct the empirical likelihood ratio of the parameter in the model based on B-spline approximation for the link and slope functions, and define maximum empirical likelihood (MEL) estimator of the parameter. Under suitable assumptions, the asymptotic distributions of the proposed empirical log-likelihood ratio and MEL estimator are established. At the same time, based on penalized empirical likelihood (PEL) approach, we define the PEL estimator of the parameter and investigate variable selection of the model. Simple Summary: The oriental armyworm, Mythimna separata (Walker), is a nocturnal long-distance migratory pest. While searchlight and ground light traps have been widely applied to predict its migration pattern and implement effective pest control measures, the eye structure and adaptation of M. separata have received less attention. The moth possesses a pair of superposition eyes, characterized by a clear zone. The retina of M. separata shows significant adaptational variations under light and dark conditions: the cross-sectional areas of the ommatidial retinulae and rhabdoms, as well as the rhabdom occupation ratio, within the clear zone are significantly larger under dark adaptation than under light adaptation. The opposite trend is observed beneath the clear zone. These findings indicate remarkable plasticity in the retina of M. separata throughout a normal daily cycle, providing valuable information to improve searchlight and ground light trap techniques. The oriental armyworm, Mythimna separata (Walker), is a well-known nocturnal migratory pest that relies on its exceptional nocturnal vision for navigation during long-distance flights. In this study, we investigated the ultrastructure of the compound eyes of adult M. separata using transmission electron microscopy and quantitatively evaluated adaptational changes in the retina under light and dark conditions. The compound eyes of M. separata are superposition eyes with a clear zone. The retina shows remarkable anatomical differences under light and dark adaptation, primarily characterized by distinct patterns of rhabdoms within the clear zone: the rhabdoms are nearly absent under light adaptation, but become more voluminous under dark adaptation. In the distal, middle, and proximal sections of the clear zone, the cross-sectional areas of retinulae and rhabdoms, as well as the rhabdom occupation ratio, are significantly larger under dark adaptation than under light adaptation. Conversely, the opposite trend is observed beneath the clear zone. These results indicate remarkable plasticity in the M. separata retina throughout a normal daily cycle, providing a theoretical basis for improving searchlight and ground light trap techniques for the management of this migratory species. Rehmannia chingii is an important medicinal plant with immense value in scientific research. However, its mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) has not yet been characterized. Herein, based on whole-genome Illumina short reads and PacBio HiFi reads, we obtained the complete mitogenome of R. chingii through a de novo assembly strategy. We carried out comparative genomic analyses and found that, in comparison with the plastid genome (plastome) showing a high degree of structural conservation, the R. chingii mitogenome structure is relatively complex, showing an intricate ring structure with 16 connections, owing to five repetitive sequences. The R. chingii mitogenome was 783,161 bp with a GC content of 44.8% and contained 77 genes, comprising 47 protein-coding genes (CDS), 27 tRNA genes, and 3 rRNA genes. We counted 579 RNA editing events in 47 CDS and 12,828 codons in all CDSs of the R. chingii mitogenome. Furthermore, 24 unique sequence transfer fragments were found between the mitogenome and plastome, comprising 8 mitogenome CDS genes and 16 plastome CDS genes, corresponding to 2.39% of the R. chingii mitogenome. Mitogenomes had shorter but more collinear regions, evidenced by a comparison of the organelles of non-parasitic R. chingii, hemiparasitic Pedicularis chinensis, and holoparasitic Aeginetia indica in the Orobanchaceae family. Moreover, from non-parasitic to holoparasitic species, the genome size in the mitogenomes of Orobanchaceae species did not decrease gradually. Instead, the smallest mitogenome was found in the hemiparasitic species P. chinensis, with a size of 225,612 bp. The findings fill the gap in the mitogenome research of the medicinal plant R. chingii, promote the progress of the organelle genome research of the Orobanchaceae family, and provide clues for molecular breeding. Solid-state phase transformation is an intriguing phenomenon in crystalline or noncrystalline solids due to the distinct physical and chemical properties that can be obtained and modified by phase engineering. Compared to bulk solids, nanomaterials exhibit enhanced capability for phase engineering due to their small sizes and high surface-to-volume ratios, facilitating various emerging applications. To establish a comprehensive atomistic understanding of phase engineering, in situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques have emerged as powerful tools, providing unprecedented atomic-resolution imaging, multiple characterization and stimulation mechanisms, and real-time integrations with various external fields. In this Review, we present a comprehensive overview of recent advances in in situ TEM studies to characterize and modulate nanomaterials for phase transformations under different stimuli, including mechanical, thermal, electrical, environmental, optical, and magnetic factors. We briefly introduce crystalline structures and polymorphism and then summarize phase stability and phase transformation models. The advanced experimental setups of in situ techniques are outlined and the advantages of in situ TEM phase engineering are highlighted, as demonstrated via several representative examples. Besides, the distinctive properties that can be obtained from in situ phase engineering are presented. The rational design of mechanical metamaterials endows them with unusual properties inaccessible by conventional materials. In this study, compression–twist coupling building blocks with embedded chirality are fabricated by multimaterial 4D printing of shape memory polymers. Each chiral unit can be programmed individually by mechanical compression at a selected high temperature, whose temporary shape is self‐maintained at the reduced temperature when the load is removed. With these building blocks, lattice‐like architectures can be constructed in planar and layer‐to‐layer assemblies. Such modular design overcomes the limitation of conventional material arrangement by allowing on‐demand re‐programmability of chirality‐defined structural heterogeneity. Using this strategy, metamaterials with tunable Poisson's ratio and shape‐morphing metastructures are developed by harnessing the cooperative deformation of spatially heterogenous tessellation that undergoes local shrinkage or expansion, depending on the encoded Poisson response. An untethered multimodal soft gripper is assembled by chiral metastructures with distinct morphing modes, capable of unscrewing up a bottle cap attributed by the programmed functionality at module‐level. The present modular chiral metamaterials with embedded chirality and flexible deployability may promote the applications of mechanical metamaterials in active shape‐morphing structures and functional soft machines. Bisphenol A (BPA), an endocrine disruptor widely used in industrial production, is found in various environmental sources. Despite numerous reports on BPA degradation and removal, the details remain unclear. This paper aims to address this gap by providing a comprehensive review of BPA degradation methods, focusing on biological, physical, and chemical treatments and the factors that affect the degradation of BPA. Firstly, the paper uses VOSviewer software (version 1.6.15) to map out the literature on BPA degradation published in the past 20 years, which reveals the trends and research focus in this field. Next, the advantages and limitations of different BPA degradation methods are discussed. Overall, this review highlights the importance of BPA degradation to protect the environment and human health. Background: The application of vonoprazan significantly improved the eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). This study aimed to compare efficacy and safety of the 10-day vonoprazan–amoxicillin (VA) and 14-day rabeprazole–amoxicillin (RA) dual therapy, and to provide a more efficient, safer, and convenient dual regimen for H. pylori infection. Methods: This was a prospective, open-label, multi-center, randomized controlled study of treatment-naive patients with H. pylori infection. The participants were randomly assigned to the 10-day VA group with vonoprazan 20 mg Bid plus amoxicillin 1 g Tid or the 14-day RA group with rabeprazole 10 mg Tid plus amoxicillin 1 g Tid. The effectiveness, the adverse events, and the patient compliance of the two groups were compared. Results: A total of 690 patients were enrolled. The eradication rates of 10-day VA and 14-day RA dual therapy were 89.3% and 84.9% in intention-to-treat (ITT) analysis (P = 0.088); 90.6% and 85.9% by modified intention-to-treat (mITT) analysis (P = 0.059); 91.4% and 86.6% by per-protocol (PP) analysis (P = 0.047). Non-inferiority was confirmed between the two groups (all P < 0.001). No discernible differences were observed in adverse effects and compliance between groups. Poor compliance reduced the eradication efficacy (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The 10-day VA dual therapy was non-inferior to the 14-day RA dual therapy for H. pylori treatment-naive patients, which should be given priority in the first-line treatment. Background: High-altitude exposure can cause oxidative stress damage in the intestine, which leads to increased intestinal permeability and bacterial translocation, resulting in local and systemic inflammation. Control of infection is critically dependent on the host's ability to kill pathogens with reactive oxygen species (ROS). Myeloperoxidase (MPO) targets ROS in pathogens. This study aimed to investigate the effects of hypoxia on the colonic mucosal barrier and myeloperoxidase (MPO)-mediated innate immune response in the colon. Methods and Results: Genetically engineered mice were exposed to a hypobaric oxygen chamber for 3 days and an inflammation model was established using Salmonella Typhimurium infection. We found that hypoxic exposure caused the development of exacerbated bacterial colitis and enhanced bacterial dissemination in MPO-deficient mice. Infection and disease severity were associated with significantly increased Ly6G+ neutrophil and F4/80+ macrophage counts in infected tissues, which is consistent with elevated proinflammatory cytokines and chemoattractant molecules. Hypoxia restrained antioxidant ability and MPO deficiency aggravated the respiratory burst in the colon. Conclusion: Hypoxia can damage the colonic mucosa. Zinc sulfide (ZnS) is a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) because of its high theoretical capacity, abundance, cost-effectiveness, and environmental friendliness. Herein, a hydrangea-like ZnS-carbon composite (ZnS-NC) is synthesized through the hydrothermal method and subsequent pyrolysis of a supramolecular precursor guanosine. The resulting composite comprises ultrafine ZnS nanoparticles firmly stabilized on a nitrogen-doped carbon matrix, featuring mesoporous channels and high surface areas. When utilized as an anode material for LIBs, the initial discharge specific capacity of the ZnS-NC electrode reaches an impressive value of 944 mA h g−1 at 1.0 A g−1, and even after 450 cycles, it maintains a reversible capacity of 597 mA h g−1. Compared with pure ZnS, the ZnS-NC composite exhibits significantly improved rate performance and cycling stability. This enhancement in Li-storage performance can be attributed to a synergistic effect within the ZnS-NC composite, which arises from the large exposed active site area, efficient ion/electron transfer, and strong interaction between the ZnS nanoparticles and the carbon framework. Microbes are usually present as a specific microbiota, and their classification remains a challenge. MALDI-TOF MS is particularly successful in library-based microbial identification at the species level as it analyzes the molecular weight of peptides and ribosomal proteins. FT-IR allows more accurate classification of bacteria at the subspecies level due to the high sensitivity, specificity and repeatability of FT-IR signals from bacteria, which is not achievable with MALDI-TOF MS. Previous studies have shown that more accurate identification results can be obtained by the fusion of FT-IR and MALDI-TOF MS spectral data. Here, we constructed 20 groups of model microbiota samples and used FT-IR, MALDI-TOF MS, and their fusion data to classify them. Hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) showed that the classification accuracy of FT-IR, MALDI-TOF MS, and the fusion data was 85%, 90%, and 100%, respectively. These results indicate that both FT-IR and MALDI-TOF MS can effectively classify specific microbiota, and the fusion of their spectral data could improve the classification accuracy. Investigating the regional difference is of enormous practical value in the context of the new normal. Only a few studies, however, explored the regional difference in high-quality development from the perspective of coupling coordination. Based on the panel data set covering China's 30 provinces during 2003-2020, this study explores the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics, regional differences, and obstacle factors of the coupling coordination degree of high-quality development. The results show that: (1) Innovation is the main factor limiting high-quality development. Greenness is the main weak point of the eastern regions; The disadvantages of the central, northeast, and western regions are mainly openness. (2) The coupling coordination degree of high-quality development is low, with a significant spatiotemporal differentiation. The regional difference of coupling coordination degree is reduced, and the main source is the inter-regional difference. (3) The obstacle factors of coupling coordination degree have changed over time. Obstacle factors of the national, eastern, central, and northeast regions are the subsystem of carbon emissions; Obstacle factors of the western regions are distributed in the economy, greenness, coordination, and innovation. Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite quantum dots (QIHP‐QDs) have aroused widespread interest due to their superior photoelectric performance, quantum confinement effect, excellent photoelectric property, color‐tunability, and high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) especially for QD‐based light‐emitting diodes (QLEDs). It is worth noting that a diverse selection of organic cations brings more adjustable optical properties to OIHP‐QDs compared with all‐inorganic perovskite QDs; thus the research on OIHP‐QDs has become a hit subject over recent years. This review summarizes the latest progress in synthesis strategy and optical property regulation of OIHP‐QDs in conjunction with the recent developments of their application in QLEDs. Background: Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles that play important roles in intercellular communication and have potential therapeutic applications in regenerative medicine. Dermal mesenchymal stem cells (DMSCs) are a promising source of exosomes due to their regenerative and immunomodulatory properties. However, the molecular mechanisms regulating exosome secretion from DMSCs are not fully understood. Results: In this study, the role of peroxiredoxin II (Prx II) in regulating exosome secretion from DMSCs and the underlying molecular mechanisms were investigated. It was discovered that depletion of Prx II led to a significant reduction in exosome secretion from DMSCs and an increase in the number of intracellular multivesicular bodies (MVBs), which serve as precursors of exosomes. Mechanistically, Prx II regulates the ISGylation switch that controls MVB degradation and impairs exosome secretion. Specifically, Prx II depletion decreased JNK activity, reduced the expression of the transcription inhibitor Foxo1, and promoted miR-221 expression. Increased miR-221 expression inhibited the STAT signaling pathway, thus downregulating the expression of ISGylation-related genes involved in MVB degradation. Together, these results identify Prx II as a critical regulator of exosome secretion from DMSCs through the ISGylation signaling pathway. Based on Bayesian method, we investigate single-index quantile regression with missing observation. In particular, using spline approximation for the link function, we construct quasi-posterior distribution of the index vector based on asymmetric Laplace likelihood with missing observation, and establish asymptotically normality of the posterior estimator of the index parameters. Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) has excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric properties, which shows great potential for low-dimensional devices. However, mechanical properties of h-BN have not been comprehensively investigated through experiments. In this work, we conduct in situ direct tensile tests on freestanding single-crystal few-layer h-BN nanosheets with various layer numbers from 3 to 8, with an elaborate sample transfer and characterization protocol. Young's modulus of 573.8 ± 101.4 GPa and a tensile fracture strain up to 3.2% are revealed, which are comparable to its monolayer counterpart. Moreover, we find a tough-to-brittle transition in few-layer h-BN with the increase in layer number, which is attributed the interplay between the van der Waals interaction and in-plane covalent bonding. Lipid droplets are unique lipid storage organelles in hepatocytes. Lipophagy is a key mechanism of selective degradation of lipid droplets through lysosomes. It plays a crucial role in the prevention of metabolic liver disease, including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD), and is a potential therapeutic target for treating these dysfunctions. In this review, we highlighted recent research and discussed advances in key proteins and molecular mechanisms related to lipophagy in liver disease. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) is an inevitable product of metabolism in alcohol-treated or high-fat-treated cells. Under this light, the potential role of ROS in autophagy in lipid droplet removal was initially explored to provide insights into the link between oxidative stress and metabolic liver disease. Subsequently, the current measures and drugs that treat NAFLD and AFLD through lipophagy regulation were summarized. Metastatic cancer cells can develop anoikis resistance in the absence of substrate attachment and survive to fight tumors. Anoikis is mediated by endogenous mitochondria-dependent and exogenous death receptor pathways, and studies have shown that caspase-8-dependent external pathways appear to be more important than the activity of the intrinsic pathways. This paper reviews the regulation of anoikis by external pathways mediated by death receptors. Different death receptors bind to different ligands to activate downstream caspases. In this paper, we focus on the partially linear varying-coefficient quantile regression with missing observations under ultra-high dimension, where the missing observations include either responses or covariates or the responses and part of the covariates are missing at random, and the ultra-high dimension implies that the dimension of parameter is much larger than sample size. Based on the B-spline method for the varying coefficient functions, we study the consistency of the oracle estimator which is obtained only using active covariates whose coefficients are nonzero. Background: Neurodegenerative diseases are a common group of neurological disorders characterized by progressive loss of neuronal structure and function leading to cognitive impairment. Recent studies have shown that neuronal pyroptosis mediated by the NLRP3 inflammasome plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Objective and method: The NLRP3 inflammasome is a multiprotein complex that, when activated within cells, triggers an inflammatory response, ultimately leading to pyroptotic cell death of neurons. Pyroptosis is a typical pro-inflammatory programmed cell death process occurring downstream of NLRP3 inflammasome activation, characterized by the formation of pores on the cell membrane by the GSDMD protein, leading to cell lysis and the release of inflammatory factors. It has been found that NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated neuronal pyroptosis is closely associated with the development of various neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson's disease. Therefore, inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation and attenuating neuronal pyroptosis could potentially serve as novel strategies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. The current explosive growth of global consumption has caused many environmental problems, so guiding and regulating the public's green consumption intention and behavior is an important issue. By constructing the tourist green consumption model of urban and rural tourism destinations (TAM-TPB), this paper uses the PLS-SEM method to expound the realization path and mechanism of tourists' green consumption intention in urban and rural destinations. The TAM-TPB model provides better explanatory and predictive power for urban destinations than for rural destinations. In addition, the perceived usefulness plays a significant mediating effect, especially in urban destinations, and the green consumption attitude will not mediate or directly affect consumption intention. Finally, there is a certain gap in tourists' green consumption intention between urban and rural destinations, but it is limited to the paths from perceived ease of use to consumption attitude and from subjective norm to consumption intention. The paper studies the realization path and mechanism of tourists' green consumption intention in urban and rural tourism destinations. The paper first applies TAM to tourism green consumption field, constructing the model of TAM-TPB by PLS-SEM. Pulse signals refer to electromagnetic waveforms with short duration and high peak energy in the time domain. Spatial electromagnetic pulse interference signals can be caused by various factors such as lightning, arc discharge, solar disturbances, and electromagnetic disturbances in space. Pulse disturbance signals appear as instantaneous, high-energy vertical-line pulse trains (VLPTs) on the spectrogram. This paper uses computer vision techniques and unsupervised clustering algorithms to process and analyze VLPT on very-low-frequency (VLF) waveform spectrograms collected by the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) electric field detector. First, the waveform data are transformed into time–frequency spectrograms with a duration of 8 s using the short-time Fourier transform. Then, the spectrograms are subjected to grayscale transformation, vertical line feature extraction, and binarization preprocessing. In the third step, the preprocessed data are dimensionally reduced and fed into an unsupervised K-means++ clustering model to achieve automatic recognition and labeling of VLPTs. By recognizing and studying VLPT, not only can interference be recognized, but the temporal and spatial locations of these interferences can also be determined. The way in which moist convection interacts with large scale flows is a major contemporary research issue. Organized mesoscale systems are, in particular, important for the interactions between convection and the ambient shear. Here we present numerical simulations of mesoscale systems evolving in a background shear using the Research and Weather Forecasting model. We are particularly interested in the long time integration, allowing the systems to repeatedly develop and die and effectively interact with the background shear. Starting with a typical African and equatorial jet-shear, the simulated solution goes through various phases or stages. First, a transient state, consisting of scattered squall-like systems that are aligned perpendicular to the background shear, develops and then evolves into a regime of multiscale mesoscale systems with large stratiform anvils. During the latter period the background wind changes substantially through the effect of both up scale and down scale convective momentum transport. At this stage, the systems become aligned parallel to the wind shear, with elongated stratiform anvils in which meso-beta scale convective cells evolve and propagate in the shear direction, relative to the stratiform anvils. These results are reminiscent of the development of shear parallel mesoscale convective systems observed for instance in the Eastern Pacific ITCZ and corroborate recent theoretical results obtained with a simple multi-cloud model. Ionospheric disturbances are mainly caused by solar and Earth surface activity. The electromagnetic data collected by the CSES (China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite, popularly known as the Zhangheng-1 satellite) can capture many space disturbances. Different spatial disturbances can exhibit distinctive shapes on spectrograms. Constant-frequency electromagnetic disturbances (CFEDs) such as artificially transmitted VLF radio waves, power line harmonics, and satellite platform disturbances can appear as horizontal lines on spectrograms. Therefore, we used computer vision and machine learning techniques to extract the frequency of global CFEDs and analyze their strong spatial signal characteristics. First, we obtained time-frequency spectrograms from CSES VLF electric-field waveform data using Fourier transform. Next, we employed an unsupervised clustering algorithm to automatically recognize CFED horizontal lines on spectrograms, merging horizontal lines from different spectrograms, to obtain the CFED horizontal-line frequency range. In the third stage, we verified the presence of CFEDs in power spectrograms, thus extracting their true frequency values. Finally, for strong CFED signals, we generated eight revisited periods, resulting in 10,230 power spectrograms for analyzing each CFED's spatial characteristics using a combined periodic sequence and spatial region that included frequency offsets, frequency fluctuations, and signal non-observation areas. These findings contribute to enhancing the quality of CSES observational data and provides a theoretical basis for constructing global CFED spatial background fields and earthquake monitoring and early prediction systems. Environmental change is a crucial driver shaping grassland biodiversity and stability. Both environmental change and stability contain multiple dimensions. Nonetheless, few studies examined multiple dimensions of stability in response to environmental change, especially under the combined effects of climatic variability and grazing intensity. Here, we conducted a 7-year field sheep grazing experiment, and we evaluated the impacts of grazing intensity (GI) and climate variability (temperature and precipitation variability) on plant community diversity and productivity and multi-dimensional stability using linear and structural equation models. Our results show that increasing grazing intensity significantly decreased temporal stability but did not affect resistance stability. Compared with the non-grazing (NG) treatment, grazing reduced temporal stability by 35.78%. The decline is primarily attributed to the grazing-induced reduction in evenness and weakening of species asynchrony, which in turn impairs insurance effects. The insignificant change in resistance stability was attributed to a trade-off between reduced interspecific competition and direct negative effects. Furthermore, temperature variability and precipitation variability exacerbate and mitigate the effects of grazing on temporal stability (negative) and resistance stability (positive), respectively. Overall, temporal stability is mainly influenced by temperature variability and GI, while resistance stability is mainly affected by GI. Our findings highlight the importance of considering the dimensions of stability and disturbance. Different dimensions of stability may respond differently to disturbance. Introduction: Difficulty in identifying the functional status of older adults creates an imbalance between the supply and demand for community home-based care. Using a multi-level functional classification system to guide care cost measurement may optimize care resources and meet diverse eldercare demands. Methods: The Markov model was used to project the older population size in different functional decline (FD) statuses. The project cost and the man-hour costing method were combined to forecast the cost of community home-based care for older adults with FD. Results: The projected cost of eldercare increased from 1668.623 billion yuan in 2020 to 2836.754 billion yuan in 2035. By 2035, the total cost for community-based home care for those in pathological development of FD statuses such as "viability disorder," "acute disease," "somatic functional disorder," and "sub-disorder" was projected to be 1094.591 billion, 433.855 billion, 1256.236 billion, and 52.072 billion yuan, respectively, which is 1.24, 1.58, 1.78, and 0.49 times higher than the results by the man-hour costing method. Family caregiving costs are about three times those of professional caregivers. Conclusion: The escalating cost of providing graded care for older adults, particularly by family caregivers, presenting a significant evidence for the need to optimize resource allocation and develop a robust human resources plan for community home-based care. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the role and related mechanism of chordin‐like 1 (CHRDL1) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Methods: The expressions of CHRDL1 were analyzed in both mRNA and protein levels by bioinformatics analysis, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence in situ hybridization in OSCC. Survival analysis was used to determine the relationship between CHRDL1 and prognosis. In addition, enrichment analysis was used to suggest signal pathways involved in CHRDL1. Besides, the relationships between CHRDL1 and miRNAs, hypoxia, and immune infiltration were explored. Results: The mRNA level of CHRDL1 in OSCC was significantly lower than that in normal tissues, while the protein level was significantly higher than that in normal tissues. The high mRNA levels of CHRDL1 suggested a poor prognosis in patients with OSCC. The enrichment results showed that CHRDL1 might be involved in the Calcium signaling pathway, dilated cardiomyopathy, and focal adhesion. 7 immune cells were positively correlated with CHRDL1, while Tgd was negatively correlated with CHRDL1. In addition, we also found that hsa‐miR‐455‐3p directly targeted CHRDL1 and reduced the mRNA levels of CHRDL1. Sea surface temperature is an important parameter of ocean hydrology. Accurate prediction of sea surface temperature is of great significance for ocean economic development and extreme weather prevention. Application of deep learning-based method in sea surface temperature prediction has significantly increased due to its high analytical power. Nevertheless, sea surface temperature time series are so volatile and stochastic, leading to the fact that in-depth analysis and accurate prediction of sea surface temperature are still challenging. Considering non-stationary and nonlinear characteristics in sea surface temperature sequence, variational mode decomposition is adopted as the de-noising module to reduce the influence of noise. Furthermore, the convolutional neural network is combined with the gated recurrent unit network to extract both spatial and temporal features in sea surface temperature sequence, simultaneously. Finally, a sea surface temperature prediction model based on deep learning model with frequency analysis module is proposed in this paper. The sea surface temperature of East China Sea is selected for empirical study. Comparative analysis demonstrated that the proposed model significantly outperforms the existing sea surface temperature prediction models. Purpose: Peptides are an important class of therapeutics. Their quality is evaluated using a series of analytical tests, many of which depend on well-characterized reference standards to determine identity, purity, and strength. Objective: Discuss approaches to producing peptide reference standards, including vialing, lyophilization, analytical testing and stability studies. Methods: Case studies are used to illustrate analytical approaches to characterize reference standards, including methods for value assignment, content uniformity, and identity testing. Methods described include NMR, mass spectrometry, and chromatography techniques for identity testing and HPLC and GC methods for assessing peptide content and impurities. Results: This report describes the analytical strategy used to establish peptide reference standard and illustrates how results from multiple labs are integrated to assign a value to the final lyophilized vial. A two-step process for value assignment is described, which uses a mass balance approach to assign a quantitative value to a bulk peptide material. The bulk material is then used as a standard to assign a final value to the vialed material. Testing to confirm peptide identity and to ensure consistency of the vialed material is also described. Considerations for addressing variability, identifying outliers, and implementing stability studies are also presented. Conclusion: The methods and case studies described provide a benchmark for best practices in establishing the preparation, analytical testing, handling, and storage of peptide reference standards for the pharmaceutical industry. Macrocyclic arenes including calixarenes, resorcinarenes, cyclotriveratrylene, pillararenes and so on have emerged as highly attractive synthetic macrocyclic hosts due to their unique structures, facile functionalization, and broad range of applications. In recent years, there has been growing interest in the development of novel macrocyclic arenes composed of various aromatic building blocks bridged by methylene groups, which have found applications in various research areas. Consequently, the development of novel macrocyclic arenes has become a frontier and hot topic in supramolecular and macrocyclic chemistry. In this review, we feature the recent advances in the synthesis and applications of novel macrocyclic arenes that have emerged in the last decade. The general synthetic strategies employed for these macrocyclic arenes are systematically summarized, and their wide applications in molecular recognition and assemblies, molecular machines, biomedical science and functional materials are highlighted. Many studies have performed assessments of genetic variants in the D2 dopamine receptor (DRD2) gene as risk factors for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and major depressive disorder (MDD). However, the results are inconsistent. This meta-analysis aimed to systematically summarize published data to evaluate the reliable association between the DRD2 genetic variants and the risk of PTSD and MDD. A systematic literature search was conducted using the Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar, Excerpta Medica Database (EMBASE), Springer, ScienceDirect, Wiley Online Library, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), WANFANG Data, CQVIP, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases before January 1st, 2022. A total of 27 genetic variants in the DRD2 gene were retrieved, and 7 of them met the inclusion criteria for meta-analysis. Our meta-analysis results indicated that the rs1800497 (TaqIA) polymorphism was significantly associated with the increased risk of PTSD (Dominant model (A1A1 + A1A2 vs. A2A2): OR = 1.49, 95 % CI, 1.08–2.04 Z = 2.46, P = 0.014). Subgroup analysis for ethnicity suggested that a significantly increased risk of PTSD was observed in Asians (Dominant model (A1A1 + A1A2 vs. A2A2): OR = 1.39, 95 % CI, 1.08–1.79, Z = 2.60, P = 0.009) and Caucasians (Dominant model (A1A1 + A1A2 vs. A2A2): OR = 1.87, 95 % CI 1.02–3.41, Z = 2.04, P = 0.042). Meanwhile, we detected significant association strengths between the rs1799978 and rs2075652 polymorphisms in the DRD2 gene and MDD (for rs1799978, Homozygote comparison (GG vs. AA): OR = 0.60, 95 % CI = 0.37–0.97, Z = 2.08, P = 0.038; for rs2075652, Homozygote comparison (AA vs. GG): OR = 1.82, 95 % CI = 1.32–2.50, Z = 3.67, P < 0.001). Our cumulative meta-analyses indicated a continuous trend toward association strength with PTSD and MDD. This meta-analysis indicated that genetic variants in the DRD2 gene might potentially contribute to genetic susceptibility for PTSD and MDD. The electromagnetic data observed with the CSES (China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite, also known as Zhangheng-1 satellite) contain numerous spatial disturbances. These disturbances exhibit various shapes on the spectrogram, and constant frequency electromagnetic disturbances (CFEDs), such as artificially transmitted very-low-frequency (VLF) radio waves, power line harmonics, and interference from the satellite platform itself, appear as horizontal lines. To exploit this feature, we proposed an algorithm based on computer vision technology that automatically recognizes these lines on the spectrogram and extracts the frequencies from the CFEDs. First, the VLF waveform data collected with the CSES electric field detector (EFD) are converted into a time–frequency spectrogram using short-time Fourier Transform (STFT). Next, the CFED automatic recognition algorithm is used to identify horizontal lines on the spectrogram. The third step is to determine the line frequency range based on the proportional relationship between the frequency domain of the satellite's VLF and the height of the time–frequency spectrogram. Finally, we used the CSES power spectrogram to confirm the presence of CFEDs in the line frequency range and extract their true frequencies. We statistically analyzed 1034 orbit time–frequency spectrograms and power spectrograms from 8 periods (5 days per period) and identified approximately 200 CFEDs. Among them, two CFEDs with strong signals persisted throughout an entire orbit. This study establishes a foundation for detecting anomalies due to artificial sources, particularly in the study of short-term strong earthquake prediction. In this paper, we focus on partially linear varying coefficient quantile regression with observations missing at random, which allows the responses or responses and covariates simultaneously missing. By means of empirical likelihood method, we construct posterior distributions of the parameter in the model, and investigate their large sample properties under fixed prior. Meanwhile, we use a Bayesian hierarchical model based on empirical likelihood, spike and slab Gaussian priors to discuss variable selection. Background: High‐dose dual therapy (HDDT) is an emerging and promising therapeutic regime for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication. However, the pharmacokinetics of the components of HDDT, amoxicillin and proton pump inhibitor, are likely to be affected by body size. In this study, we aimed to find out the impact of body size on the efficacy of HDDT. Methods: We collected the medical data of 385 treatment‐naive patients infected with H. pylori who received HDDT (esomeprazole 20 mg and amoxicillin 750 mg four times daily) for 14 days from July 2020 to December 2021. The associations among the eradication efficacy, adverse events, and variables (sex, age, height, body weight, body mass index (BMI), body surface area (BSA), smoking, drinking, etc.) were analyzed respectively in our study. Among these factors, continuous variables were classified into categorical variables using the cut‐off values which were calculated by receiver operating characteristic analysis. Results: The eradication rate of HDDT was 89.9%. There were 55 (14.3%) patients who occurred adverse events during the treatment. Patients with height <170.5 cm, body weight <60.5 kg, BMI <20.55 kg/m2, BSA <1.69 m2 had a higher eradication rate (92.1% vs. 84.0%, 93.1% vs. 86.8%, 96.0% vs. 87.8%, 93.4% vs. 84.8%, all p <.05). The multivariate analysis showed that BSA ≥1.69 m2 (OR 2.53, 95% CI: 1.28–4.99, p =.007) was the only independent predictor of eradication failure. Conclusion: HDDT could achieve better eradication efficacy in patients with small BSA. Clinicians should be aware of the impact of BSA on the H. pylori eradication rate and pay more attention to patients with large BSA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Due to its slow kinetics, the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is a key limiting reaction in electrocatalytic water separation and fuel cells. Transition metal sulphides with high intrinsic activity, outstanding stability and excellent electrical conductivity have been considered as promising electrocatalysts for OER. In this study, we develop a green and general strategy for the synthesis of nitrogen, sulphur co-doped honeycomb like carbon nanosheets coupled with binary metal sulfides ((M 1 , M 2) x S y @SNC, (M 1 , M 2) = Fe, Co, Ni) derived from chitosan (nitrogen sources) and lignosulfonate (sulphur sources) with NaCl as template. At the same time the sulphonate group in the lignosulphonate as a sulphur source sulphurises the transition metal to binary metal sulfides. The (M 1 , M 2) x S y @SNC has a large specific surface area (171.5 m2g −1), abundant defects and honeycomb-like hierarchical porosity with interconnected pore structures. The overpotential (at 10 mA cm −2) of the prepared (Fe, Ni) 9 S 8 @SNC was only 207 mV in 1 mol KOH. In this study, we provide a green and novel fabrication method for the synthesis of binary metal sulphides and achieves a high-value utilization of biomass. The development of efficient, cost-effective, bifunctional cathode catalyst materials to replace precious metals is highly attractive for the fabrication of Zn–air battery. Here, the three–dimensional N and S co–doped carbon nanosheets loaded with cobalt sulfide nanoparticles (Co 1-x S@SNFC) for bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysis were synthesized with Co(NO 3) 2 ·6H 2 O as the Co source, lignin as the carbon source, thiourea as the nitrogen/ sulfur source, and MgO as the template. The synergistic effect of multiple active sites gives the Co 1-x S@SNFC fast electrochemical kinetic properties and excellent stability to oxygen reduction reactions (ORR) and oxygen evolution reactions (OER). The half-wave potential and overpotential of Co 1-x S@SNFC were 0.84 mV and 306 mV, respectively, which is closed to commercial noble metal catalysts. In addition, Co 1-x S@SNFC exhibited four–electron transfer characteristics and ultra–low tafel slope. Compared with commercial Pt/C, the Zn–air battery assembled from Co 1-x S@SNFC exhibited a low voltage gap of polarization curve (0.75 V) between charging and discharge and high power density (207 mWcm−2) in alkaline electrolyte. Obesity and overweight are closely related to cardiovascular mortality. Arterial stiffness is one of the important risks for cardiovascular diseases and is strongly related with the cardiovascular mortality. However, the relationship between obesity and arterial stiffness is still controversial. A cross‐sectional study was performed to examine the relationship of body fat percentage (BFP), an indicator of obesity, with carotid‐femoral pulse wave velocity (cfPWV) in 2603 subjects (aged 58.62 ± 11.27 years, male 71.07%, hypertension 64.89%). All participants were divided into four groups according to the gender and the presence of arterial stiffening based on a value ≥10 m/s of cfPWV(group1 : male with cfPWV <10 m/s, group2 : male with cfPWV ≥10 m/s, group3 : female with cfPWV <10 m/s, group4 : female with cfPWV ≥10 m/s). Body weight, height, waist circumference, blood pressure were measured and clinical biochemical tests were recorded. cfPWV was measured using a non‐invasive automatic device (Complior Analysis, France). BFP were calculated by CUN‐BAE equation. The level of cfPWV was significantly increased with the increasing trend of BFP in both males and females. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that SBP, DBP, HR, Hcy, BFP, FPG were independent associated with cfPWV in females and SBP, eGFR, FPG, BFP, DBP were independent associated with cfPWV in males. In the subgroups stratified by age, BFP was correlated with cfPWV only in females over 60 years old, but not in female those aged under 60 years old and males. In addition to the age and blood pressure, BFP was one of important predictor of arterial stiffening special in females aged over 60 years old. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
