Because the traditional roasting-leaching-electrowinning zinc hydrometallurgy process has a small sulfuric acid sales radius and a high inventory pressure, the process of direct leaching zinc concentrate is gaining popularity, but the pressurized leaching process is a high-pressure condition, which requires strict equipment material and high safety requirements. Furthermore, the atmospheric leaching efficiency is low and generally introduces impurities and chloride ions, which increase the cost of subsequent decontamination. Therefore, a new environmentally friendly hydrometallurgy extraction method of zinc was proposed: an atmospheric pressure medium temperature sulfuric acid curing-leaching process. Under open-air conditions, zinc sulfide concentrate was cured with sulfuric acid at different acid-to-ore ratios and heated to 220?~260? for a different time, then the cured product was leached. The effects of temperature, curing time, acid-to-ore ratio, and sulfuric acid concentration on the leaching ratio of zinc (?Zn) were studied. The results demonstrated that ?Zn could reach as high as 98.23% under the optimized conditions of temperature 240?, curing time 2.5 hours, acidto-ore ratio 1.4:1, and sulfuric acid concentration 60 wt.%. The leaching residue ratio is 6%, with silicate accounting for the majority of it. The kinetic results support the shrinking core model, which is controlled by an interface chemical reaction with an apparent activation energy of 43.158 kJ/mol.

We aimed to observe the changes of cardiac function, cell morphology, cellular repressor of E1A-stimulated genes (CREG) and LC3-II after myocardial infarction (MI) in non-diabetic and diabetic rats, and to explore the relationship between myocardial damage and CREG and autophagy in diabetic rats.Diabetic rat models were prepared by intraperitoneal injection of low concentration (50 mg/kg) streptozotocin (STZ). MI models were established in normal rats and diabetic rats. The cardiac function of each group was detected by echocardiography. The pathological results of myocardial tissue in the infarcted area were observed under light microscope. The expression of CREG was detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). Myocardial protein CREG LC3-II expression was measured by Western blot. Autophagy levels were also detected at the cellular level. Construction of CREG overexpressing adenovirus transfected H9c2 cells, and injection of rats with AAV-CREG to achieve the purpose of overexpressing CREG. In vitro and in vivo experiments were conducted to explore the effects of CREG on autophagy and cardiac function in a diabetic MI model.Compared with the non-diabetic sham (NS) group, there were no marked differences in cardiac function and CREG levels in the diabetic sham (DS) group. Compared with the NS group, the cardiac function of the non-diabetic myocardial infarction (NI) group and the diabetic infarction myocardial (DI) group were reduced, and the levels of autophagy were increased. However, the cardiac function of the DI group was worse than that of the NI group, and the autophagy level of the DI group was lower than the NI group. The results at the cellular level were similar to the experiments in vivo. The overexpression of CREG in vivo or in vitro can increase autophagy levels and improve cardiac function.The exacerbation of myocardial injury after MI in diabetic rats may be related to the inhibition of CREG in myocardial cells of infarcted area by diabetes.

Previous studies have suggested that psoriasis is associated with individuals who are overweight or obese. Omentin is a recently discovered adipokine that is involved in chronic inflammatory processes. This study evaluated the relationship between omentin and psoriasis, focusing on omentin-1 serum levels, skin expression of omentin-1, and omentin-1 gene polymorphism (rs2274907; Val109Asp). Levels of omentin-1 in serum samples from 44 patients with psoriasis and 38 healthy controls were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expressions of omentin-1 were measured by immunohistochemistry in 3 psoriasis affected skins and 3 normal skins. The rs2274907 variant was typed using a SNaPshot assay in 354 cases and 214 controls. We found significantly lower serum levels of omentin-1 in psoriasis patients compared with healthy controls (p < 0.001) with an inverse correlation with the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (p < 0.01). The comparison of genotype and allele distribution revealed no significant difference in genotype frequency between psoriasis patients and controls. Therefore, omentin-1 may have a role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and might be a potential biological marker for psoriasis severity.

We studied the expression and function of platelet-derived growth factor A (PDGF-α) in the lens epithelial cells of cataracts patients. Ninety age-related cataracts patients were recruited in our hospital between January 2012 and January 2014. The expression levels of platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) in the anterior capsule of the lens at different degrees of turbidity, and PDGF-α in the aqueous humor were detected. A human lens epithelium cell line was also cultured and studied. To investigate its function, PDGF-α was used to treat a PDGFR-silenced human lens epithelium cell line to observe changes in the proliferation, transfer, and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT). The expression of PDGF-α and its receptor increased in patients with more serious cataracts. Lens epithelium cells stimulated by PDGF-α showed greater proliferation and migration. The degree of EMT was also upregulated in cells stimulated by PDGF-α. However, silencing the expression of PDGFR inhibited the effects. The development and severity of age-related cataracts was related to the secretion and expression of PDGF-α. This may be a new therapeutic target for cataracts treatment.

This work aimed at studying the effect of early enteral nutrition (EN) on serum endotoxin and intestinal permeability in patients with severe acute pancreatitis.70 cases of patients with severe acute pancreatitis were cured in our hospital from April 2015 to January 2016. Patients selected were randomly divided into two groups including a group of patients having parenteral nutrition (group PN) and that had enteral nutrition (group EN). The results were assessed by: 1) the differences of serum endotoxin level; 2) the differences of the lactulose/mannitol ratio of urine, before intervention and one and two weeks after the intervention.Before the intervention, both groups had similar levels of serum endotoxin and the same lactulose/mannitol excretion rate of urine (p0.05). One and two weeks after the intervention, the serum endotoxin level and the lactulose/mannitol excretion rate of urine of the group PN were significantly higher than the group EN (p0.05).Compared with PN, EN has a bigger effect on serum endotoxin and intestinal permeability in patients with severe acute pancreatitis. EN can better promote the elimination of serum endotoxin and reduce intestinal permeability. Therefore, EN deserves clinical expansion.

To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of 10 mg ilaprazole once-daily vs 20 mg omeprazole once-daily to treat newly-diagnosed duodenal ulcer patients in China.A decision tree model was constructed and the treatment impact was projected up to 1 year. The CYP2C19 polymorphism distribution in the Chinese population, the respective cure rates in the CYP2C19 genotype sub-groups, the impact of Duodenal Ulcer (DU) on utility value and drug-related side-effect data were obtained from the literature. The total costs of medications were calculated to estimate the treatment costs based on current drug retail prices in China. Expert surveys were conducted when published data were not available. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis was performed to gauge the robustness of the results.Ilaprazole, when compared with omeprazole, achieved a better overall clinical efficacy. For the overall population, ilaprazole achieved an incremental cost effectiveness ratio (ICER) of ¥132 056 per QALY gained. This is less than the WHO recommended threshold of 3-times the average GDP per capita in China (2014). Furthermore, sub-group analysis showed that ilaprazole is cost-effective in every province in CYP2C19 hetEM patients and in the most developed provinces in CYP2C19 homEM patients. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis suggests that the results are robust with 97% probability that ilaprozole is considered cost-effective when a threshold of 3-times China's average GDP per capita is considered.This study didn't have the data of ilaprazole combined with Hp eradication therapy. Caution should be taken when extrapolating these findings to DU patients with an Hp eradication therapy.The cost-effectiveness analysis results demonstrated that ilaprazole would be considered a cost-effective therapy, compared with omeprazole, in Chinese DU patients based on the efficacy projections in various CYP2C19 polymorphism types.

Laser + pulsed gas metal arc welding (GMAW) hybrid welding process is an attractive joining technology in industry due to its synergy of the two processes. It is of great significance to conduct fundamental investigations involving mathematical modeling and understanding of the hybrid welding process. In this study, an adaptive heat source model is first developed for laser beam welding. Through combining the ray-tracing method with the keyhole profile determination technique based on the local energy balance, the keyhole shape and size are calculated and correlated to the distribution parameters of the volumetric heat source model. Then, thermal action characteristics in laser + pulsed GMAW hybrid welding are considered from viewpoint of macro-heat transfer, and a combined volumetric heat source model for hybrid welding is developed to take consideration of heat input from laser, pulsed gas metal arc, and overheated droplets. Numerical analysis of thermal conduction in hybrid welding is conducted. The shape and size of fusion zone and weld dimension in the quasi-steady state are calculated for various hybrid welding conditions, which have a fair agreement with the experimental results.

Invar alloy has low coefficient of thermal expansion; however, the week strength always limits its application. To circumvent this problem, the authors have designed Fe—42%Ni—Nb invar alloy using midfrequency vacuum induction melting technique. The microstructures of this alloy were characterised by means of XRD, SEM and TEM. The multicomponent composition (NiFeCMnNb) is chosen such that upon chill casting of the alloy the liquid undergoes a metastable reaction, forming a strengthening NbC precipitated phase on γ-(Fe, Ni) solid solution. As a result, the alloy achieves the low coefficient of thermal expansion α30–100=6·14 × 10−6 K−1 ranged from room temperature to 100°C. The results show: in NiFe invar alloys, the primary phases are γ-(NiFe), FeNi3) Ni and Fe2C; and with the addition of carbon, manganese and rare earth niobium, NiFeCMnNb invar alloy achieves such primary phases as γ-(NiFe) and NbyCx; and TEM structure consists of superfine structure and its matrix is γ-(NiFe).

At high operational speeds, the train system becomes very sensitive to parameter variations of components. Therefore, it is imperative to incorporate more accurate component models in the vehicle dynamics studies. This study addresses a more subtle and comprehensive non-linear parametric model of a high-speed rail hydraulic yaw damper. A new concept of a hydraulic yaw damper model is suggested, in which the small mounting clearance, the series stiffness, and the viscous damping are built in. The series stiffness is the tandem result of the dynamic oil stiffness, the rubber attachment stiffness, and the mounting seat stiffness. A dynamic oil property model is established and coupled to the entire modelling process, in which the density, the dynamic viscosity, the volumetric elastic modulus, and the stiffness of the oil are all changeable in terms of the instantaneous working pressure, the oil temperature, and the entrapped air ratio of the oil. The dynamic flow loss and the valve system dynamics are also incorporated. Experiments validated that the established non-linear parametric model is accurate and robust in predicting the damping characteristics within an extremely wide speed range. The validated damper model was then successfully applied to a thorough parameter sensitivity analysis and damping nature prediction under practical, in-service conditions. The established damper model couples all the main influential factors that are not or are insufficiently considered in normal-speed problems; thus, it will be more accurate and appropriate for furthering high-speed problem studies.

Adjustable linear hydraulic dampers are widely used in high-speed trains to improve their ride comfort and stability, the distinctive damping characteristics of the dampers are intrinsically predetermined by their inner complete valve systems. Therefore, design of the complete valve system parameters for each damper type is of crucial importance. A multi-objective design optimization model for the concept of optimizing both the technical and economic capabilities of a three-valve complete valve system in a hydraulic damper was formulated, based on full damper dynamics modelling. A linear weighted criterion method was used to transform the established multi-objective problem to a single-objective problem, and a computer package employing the genetic algorithm for the optimization search was developed. Implementation of the design optimization was performed, and an optimal result, with about 10.29 per cent improvement of the overall fitness value, was obtained. Simulation results show that the optimal result satisfies all the competing objectives well within the constraints, except for some minor and tolerable tradeoffs in the relief valve response performance. Prototype experiments validated that the prototype dampers have obtained excellent damping characteristics, as expected. Thus, the complete valve system of the hydraulic damper was comprehensively optimized, with respect to both the technical and economic concerns. The approach developed in this work has already been applied to the engineering design of several hydraulic damper products in industry.

To explore the significance of survivin, P16(INK4a), COX-2, and Ki-67 expressions for prediction of cervical cancer progression.A retrospective study was performed in 129 cases including 24 squamous carcinoma of the cervix (SCC), 70 cervical intraepithelial neoplasias (CIN), 15 cervical condyloma acuminatum (CCA), ten chronic cervicitis (CC), and ten normal cervix (NC). Protein expressions were evaluated using immunohistochemistry.Survivin, P16(INK4a); COX-2, and Ki-67 were highly expressed in SCC and CIN compared with others. Their expression rates were gradually increased in CIN I, CIN II, CIN III, and SCC groups, showing 72.00%, 88.00%, 90.00%, and 95.83% for P16(INK4a), 68.00%, 84.00%, 95.00% and 100.00% for COX-2, 76.00%, 96.00%, 100.00%, and 100.00 for Ki-67, respectively. There were significant correlations between survivin and P16(INK4a), COX-2, Ki-67, as well as P16(INK4a) and Ki-67.Survivin, P16(INK4a), COX-2 and Ki-67 play critical roles for development and progression of cervical cancer.

In this paper, a novel multi-mode dielectric resonator sandwiched by a Jerusalem Cross metal structure in the middle is proposed. This resonator has one degenerate dual modes and another nearby mode. These three modes are smartly used in a cylindrical cavity to generate two transmission zeros and one transmission pole. Therefore a single-cavity multi-mode bandpass filter is designed. In order to excite the three modes, two ports are placed orthogonally and another two tuning screws are needed to provide similar capacitance effects as the port pins. Simulation results show that the cavity with the resonator successfully becomes a bandpass filter and measurement results also prove this concept.

Background : The lung cancer incidence in Chinese women is among the highest in the world, but tobacco smoking accounts for only a minority of the cancers. Epidemiologic investigations of lung cancer among Chinese women have implicated exposure to indoor air pollution from wok cooking, where the volatile emissions from unrefined cooking oils are mutagenic. Purpose : This study was conducted to identify and quantify the potentially mutagenic substances emitted from a variety of cooking oils heated to the temperatures typically used in wok cooking. Methods: Several cooking oils and fatty acids were heated in a wok to boiling, at temperatures (for the cooking oils) that ranged from 240 °C to 280 °C (typical cooking temperatures in Shanghai, China). The oils tested were unrefined Chinese rapeseed, refined U.S. rapeseed (known as canola), Chinese soybean, and Chinese peanut in addition to linolenic, linoleic, and erucic fatty acids. Condensates of the emissions were collected and tested in the Salmonella mutation assay (using Salmonella typhimurium tester strains TA98 and TA104). Volatile decomposition products also were subjected to gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy. Aldehydes were detected using high-performance liquid chromatography and UV spectroscopy. Results : 1,3-Butadiene, benzene, acrolein, formaldehyde, and other related compounds were qualitatively and quantitatively detected, with emissions tending to be highest for unrefined Chinese rapeseed oil and lowest for peanut oil. The emission of 1,3-butadiene and benzene was approximately 22-fold and 12-fold higher, respectively, from heated unrefined Chinese rapeseed oil than from heated peanut oil. Lowering the cooking temperatures or adding an antioxidant, such as butylated hydroxyanisole, before cooking decreased the amount of these volatile emissions. Among the individual fatty acids tested, heated linolenic acid produced the greatest quantities of 1,3-butadiene, benzene, and acrolein. Separately, the mutagenicity of individual volatile emission condensates was correlated with linolenic acid content (r =.83 ; P =.0004). Condensates from heated linolenic acid, but not linoleic or erucic acid, were highly mutagenic. Conclusions : These studies, combined with experimental and epidemiologic findings, suggest that high-temperature wok cooking with unrefined Chinese rapeseed oil may increase lung cancer risk. This study indicates methods that may reduce that risk. Implications : The common use of wok cooking in China might be an important but controllable risk factor in the etiology of lung cancer. In the United States, where cooking oils are usually refined for purity, additional studies should be conducted to further quantify the potential risks of such methods of cooking. Anesthesiologists who work extended hours exhibit acute and chronic sleep deprivation. The newest bilateral Bispectral Index (BIS)-Vista monitor offers new advantages over earlier models, which include a new algorithm (version 1.4). One possible useful application for BIS monitoring of physiological sleep would be in critically ill patients who almost uniformly suffer from sleep disruption and deprivation because they loose their circadian rhythm due to the harsh noisy environment of critical care units. Previous studies, which used earlier versions of the BIS monitor to depict normal physiologic sleep, produced widely conflicting results. The aim of our study was to assess whether the new BIS-Vista monitor would exhibit a temporal decline that corresponds to natural physiologic sleep stages in healthy sleep-deprived, post-call anesthesiologists.BIS-Vista sensors were bilaterally mounted, according to the manufacturer guidelines, onto the forehead of 10 healthy sleep-deprived volunteer anesthesiologists. Using the conventional Rechtschaffen and Kales criteria, BIS values during the awake, S1, S2, S3, S4, and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep stages were recorded.Mean±SD BIS values during the awake, S1, S2, S3, S4, and REM sleep stages significantly declined for the left (96±2, 82±11, 73±10, 53±13, 43±11, 66±9) and right (97±2, 78±11, 69±9, 50±10, 39±13, 61±14) hemispheres respectively. There were no significant interhemispheric differences in BIS values over time (two-way ANOVA). However, in one subject, the left and right BIS values were mostly discordant throughout the recordings.We demonstrated that although the BIS-Vista monitor was neither designed nor validated for monitoring normal physiologic sleep, it depicted a temporal decline that corresponds to normal physiologic sleep stages in sleep-deprived anesthesiologists.

The title compound, [Er(C 8 H 4 NO 2 ) 3 (H 2 O) 2 ] n , has a one-dimensional chain structure bridged by carboxylate groups. The Er III atom and one 3-cyanobenzoate ligand lie on a twofold axis and this ligand has its cyano group disordered over two sites. Each Er III atom is surrounded by two O atoms from one chelating carboxylate group, four O atoms from four different bridging carboxylate groups and two water molecules, leading to a square-antiprism coordination polyhedron.

Four methods for encapsulating adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in liposomes were evaluated. Optimum entrapment required emulsifying ATP with the lipids used to form the liposome membrane in a high-speed homogenizer followed by evaporating the organic solvent with vigorous stirring. Under these optimum conditions ATP entrapment was 38.9%; i.e., the dosage form contained 38.9 g of ATP per 100 g of lipid. The distribution of positively charged liposomes loaded with ATP was studied in dogs with experimentally induced myocardial infarction. Intravenous injection of positively charged ATP liposomes caused accumulation of ATP in myocardial infarct tissue. Myocardial infarct tissue has reduced blood flow; since positively charged liposomes accumulated in infarct tissue, liposomes may be a drug delivery system for this disease state.

A recombinant vaccinia virus encoding human prostate-specific antigen (rV-PSA) was administered as three consecutive monthly doses to 33 men with rising PSA levels after radical prostatectomy, radiation therapy, both, or metastatic disease at presentation. Dose levels were 2.65 x 10(6), 2.65 x 10(7), and 2.65 x 10(8) plaque forming units. Ten patients who received the highest dose also received 250 microg/m2 granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) as an immunostimulatory adjunct. No patient experienced any virus-related effects beyond grade I cutaneous toxicity. Pustule formation and/or erythema occurred after the first dose in all 27 men who receivedor =2.65 x 10(7) plaque forming units. GM-CSF administration was associated with fevers and myalgias of grade 2 or lower in 9 of 10 patients. PSA levels in 14 of 33 men treated with rV-PSA with or without GM-CSF were stable for at least 6 months after primary immunization. Nine patients remained stable for 11-25 months; six of these remain progression free with stable PSA levels. Immunological studies demonstrated a specific T-cell response to PSA-3, a 9-mer peptide derived from PSA. rV-PSA is safe and can elicit clinical and immune responses, and certain patients remain without evidence of clinical progression for up to 21 months or longer.

Based on our cryogenic FT-IR spectroscopic studies of hydrogen bonds in cholic acid, the two-dimensional FT-IR spectroscopy was applied to enhance our understanding of the hydrogen bonds. Fine spectral structures were revealed by asynchronous 2D FT-IR spectra. The co-relationship among various bands was discussed according to the synchronous 2D FT-IR spectra.

We used the two-dimensional FT-IR spectroscopy cooperated with high resolution and cryogenic techniques to investigate the CH2 rocking bands (750-700 cm−1) of HDPE. The 2D asynchronous spectra showed multiple forms of orthorhombic polyethylene co-existed. For the two orthorhombic bands around 730 and 720 cm−1, each band is composed of at least two sub-bands. The differences in peak position for the sub-bands are less than 1 cm−1. Thus the overlapping for the sub-bands is so severe that the sub-bands are hardly observed by conventional resolution enhancement methods. The co-existence of multiple orthorhombic polyethylene got supports from NMR studies.

To determine whether the rat is a good animal model for the food effects observed with bidisomide but not with the structurally similar antiarrhythmic drug, disopyramide in man and to explore a reason for the differences in the food effects of these compounds.The following effects on the absorption of bidisomide and/or disopyramide were examined in the rat: Food effects, gastrointestinal transit time under fasting and nonfasting conditions, pH effects, hypertonic solution effect of NaCl and glucose, bile effects, permeability, inhibitory effects by Gly, Gly-Gly, Gly-Pro, glucose and mannitol and drug binding to food.Remarkable food effects were observed with bidisomide but not with disopyramide. There was no difference in the GI transit time with and without food. The pH effect with and without food was similar. Effect of salt concentrations on bidisomide and disopyramide was similar. There was no bile effect on absorption of both compounds. Binding of bidisomide and disopyramide to food was similarly low. The apparent permeability of bidisomide was much lower than disopyramide especially in the ileum and its absorption was more inhibited by Gly, Gly-Gly and Gly-Pro.In the rat, as previously seen in humans, the food effect was observed with bidisomide but not with disopyramide. This difference was in part due to both lower intestinal permeability of bidisomide compared to disopyramide and greater inhibition of absorption by the amino acid, Gly and the dipeptides, Gly-Gly and Gly-Pro.

The time dependence and diffraction efficiency of optically‐induced phase gratings in thin films of the nematic liquid crystals 5CB and 6CB are reported. The experimental results are in quantitative agreement with a three‐dimensional model for the induced grating. This analysis provides an independent determination of the elastic constants K2 and K3 as well as a vicosity coefficient ν.

The technique of Doppler-free two-photon spectroscopy was used to measure rates for line broadenings and frequency shifts of Rydberg levels with pressure. Measurements were made of spectra of $^{2}\mathrm{S}$ and $^{2}\mathrm{D}$ states (with n\ensuremath{\sim}10--40) for ${\mathrm{Rb}}^{\mathrm{*}\mathrm{*}}$+Rb and ${\mathrm{K}}^{\mathrm{*}\mathrm{*}}$+K, and of $^{2}\mathrm{S}$ states (with n=14--29) for ${\mathrm{K}}^{\mathrm{*}\mathrm{*}}$+Rb. Large oscillations are observed in both broadening and shift rates for n\ensuremath{\sim}20--30 in all series except for the $^{2}\mathrm{D}$ series in ${\mathrm{Rb}}^{\mathrm{*}\mathrm{*}}$+Rb. Overall rates for broadening and shift are compared with a theory based on the ``free-electron'' model. The observed oscillations are inconsistent with theories based on the resonance scattering of the Rydberg electron by the perturbing atom. A possible alternative mechanism related to interference in l-mixing collisions is suggested.

In this paper, a method--improved emulsification vesicles (IEV) was proposed for the preparation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) liposome. The ATP entrapment ratio reached 38.9% (w/w), which was much greater than that reported in the literature. Thus, IEV is an excellent method which has never been presented. Together with ultrafiltration for removing unentrapped drugs and radiation sterilization, these methods are most meaningful for the production of liposomes in large scale.

Twelve patients with bone marrow necrosis were diagnosed in our hospital during the past thirteen years. All were related to malignant tumors. Bone marrow metastatic carcinoma was diagnosed in 5, suspicious metastatic carcinoma in 3, acute leukemia in 2, chronic granulocytic leukemia in 1 and malignant histiocytosis in 1. In case 1, the necrosis was secondary to gastric cancer metastasis into the bone marrow and complicated by microangiopathic hemolytic anemia; in case 3, bone marrow necrosis was the initial manifestation and a diagnosis of acute lymphocytic leukemia was finally confirmed; in case 4 of acute monocytic leukemia, bone marrow necrosis followed intramedullary chemotherapy and in case 5, marrow necrosis was secondary to chronic granulocytic leukemia. These four manifestations mentioned above have not been reported yet at home. Three cases examined by systemic 99mTe bone scan suggest that 99mTe bone scan be useful in the diagnosis of marrow necrosis. In this paper, the causes, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and pathogenesis are discussed.

By introduction of an optical gating beam on a semiconductor wafer, near-field terahertz (THz) imaging with a dynamic aperture has been realized. The spatial resolution is determined by the focus size of the optical gating bean and the near-field diffraction effect. THz imaging with subwavelength spatial resolution (better than 50 µm) is demonstrated.
