Objective: This study endeavors to determine university students’ leisure management attitudes and the factors that affect these attitudes. Methods: The research design was descriptive. The sample study consisted of 704 undergraduate students enrolled in different departments of health sciences. The data of the study were collected by using a demographics form and the Leisure Time Management Scale. In the analysis of the data, Independent t-Test and a Mann–Whitney U Test, One-Way ANOVA and Kruskal-Walls tests were used. Results: Students’ leisure management scores were found to be above the mean. Respondents differed in the dimensions of “goal setting and methods”, “leisure time attitudes” and “evaluation” depending on the variable of department attended. Significant relationships were found between the variables of department, grade level, leisure activities and having hobbies and the leisure time management total scores. Conclusions: The study found that students should be supported in setting goals and planning. Since leisure time is a metric of one’s quality of life, it is recommended that social spaces and social programs be created for young people where they can make effective use of their free time.

Buildings and constructions are responsible for a great amount of global energy and energy-related carbon dioxide emissions. Because of these negative impacts, there is an increase in Life cycle assessment research in the construction sector to measure these effects and evaluate the sustainability performances. Life cycle assessment is a tool that can facilitate the decision-making process in the construction sector for material selection, or for the selection of the best environmentally friendly option in the building component level or building level. In this study, a comparative life cycle assessment analysis is conducted among 12 roof coverings of 1 square meter in the 60-year lifetime of a building. Impact categories that are available in environmental product declarations and included in this study are the global warming potential, ozone depletion potential, acidification potential, eutrophication potential, photochemical ozone creation potential, abiotic depletion potential of non-fossils and abiotic depletion potential of fossils resources. To facilitate the decision-making process, panel and monetary weightings are applied to convert environmental product declaration data of seven impact categories into one single-score. Monetary weightings applied in the study are in Euro 2019, differentiating itself from other comparative life cycle assessment studies. The single-score results are ranked and compared. R04 has the best performance for all panel weightings, while for monetary weightings, R03, R07 and R08 have the best performance for EPS, MMG and EVR, respectively. As a result, for 12 roof coverings, the weighted results could not address one single roof-covering material for numerous reasons. Among the weighting methods, panel weighting sets show more similarity in ranking results, while monetary-weighting sets results are more diverse.

Giriş ve Amaç: Palyatif bakım, ölüme kadar hastanın yaşam kalitesini arttırmaya yardımcı olan bütüncül bir yaklaşım sağlar ve farklı hastalık gruplarında farklı yaklaşım gerektirir. Bu nedenle, hemşirelerin konuyla ilgili bilgi ve yaklaşımları önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, hemşirelerin palyatif bakım hakkında bilgi ve tutumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma gerekli izinler alındıktan sonra, Doğu Akdeniz bölgesinde yer alan üniversite hastanesinde çalışan 226 hemşire ile yapıldı. Araştırmanın verileri, literatür taranarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan anket formuyla toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 24.0 paket programı kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin %68.6’sının palyatif bakım hakkında bilgi sahibi olduğu, %65.5’inin palyatif bakımı hastalık ile baş etmeyi kolaylaştırıcı hasta bakımı olarak tanımladığı belirlendi. Hemşirelerin %40.3’ü palyatif bakım gereken hastaya hiç bakım vermediğini, %85.0’ı terminal dönem hastalarına palyatif bakım verilmesi gerektiğini, %43.4’ü “terminal dönemdeki hasta bakımı” konusunda eğitim almak istediğini belirtti. Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda hemşirelerin çoğunluğunun palyatif bakım hakkında bilgi sahibi olduğu belirlendi. Ancak hemşireler bu konuda daha fazla bilgi edinmek ve kendini geliştirmek istemektedirler. Palyatif bakımla ilgili hizmet içi eğitimlerle hemşirelerin bilgilerinin pekiştirilmesi ve artırılması önerilir.

Amaç: Bu araştırma, hastaların “Hasta Hakları Yönetmeliği”nde yer alan kendi haklarına ilişkin tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı olarak planlanan bu araştırma Nisan 2017-Haziran 2017 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Hastanesinde yatarak tedavi gören ve çalışma kriterlerini yerine getiren 326 hasta ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler;Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu ve Hasta Haklarını Kullanma Tutumu Ölçeği(HHKTÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, t testi ve varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hastaların %46.3’ü kadın, %53.7’si erkek olup, yaş ortalaması 51.5±17.5’tir. Hastaların hastanede kalış süreleri ortalama 9.4±17.8 gün olup, bu hastaların %48.2’si dahili kliniklerde, %51.5’i cerrahi kliniklerde tedavi görmektedir. Çalışmaya katılan hastalardan %52.8’i hasta hakları konusunda bilgisinin olmadığını ifade ederken, %54.0’ı hastanede hasta hakları birimi olduğunu bilmediğini belirtmiştir. Hastaların ölçekten aldıkları toplam puan ortalamasının 122.0±14.8 olduğu saptanmıştır. Cinsiyet ile ölçeğin toplam ve alt boyutları karşılaştırıldığında sadece organ nakli alt boyutunda kadınların puan ortalaması istatistiki olarak anlamlı derecede(p=0.00) yüksek bulunmuştur. Hasta hakları hakkında bilgisi olan ve hastanede hasta hakları birimi olduğunu bildiğini ifade eden hastaların ölçekten aldıkları puan ortalaması daha yüksek bulunmuş olup aradaki farkın istatistiki olarak anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır. Eğitim durumu, yaş grubu, yaşadığı yer, ekonomik durum, kronik hastalığın varlığı ve daha önce yatarak tedavi görme durumu hasta haklarını kullanma tutumları üzerinde etkili olmadığı saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Hastaların haklarını kullanma tutum ölçeği puan ortalamasının yüksek olduğu ve dolayısıyla da hastaların hasta hakları kullanmaları konusunda tutum geliştirdikleri sonucuna varılmıştır.

The aim of the study is to determine how Islamic belief and spiritual well-being affect the attitudes of individuals towards organ donation. The study was designed as a descriptive-relational study and included the participation of 402 adults in the eastern Mediterranean region of Turkey. For data collection, a personal information form, the Organ Donation Attitude Scale, and the Spiritual Well-being Scale were used. A statistically significant relationship was observed between the acceptance of organ donation according to Islamic beliefs and organ donation attitude. A negative relationship was found between organ donation attitude and the scores on the anomie sub-dimension of the Spiritual Well-being Scale, while a positive relationship was found between organ donation attitude and the scores on the transcendence and harmony with nature sub-dimensions. It was concluded from the results that Islamic belief and spiritual well-being have an effect on the organ donation attitudes of individuals.

Healthcare professionals' "cultural prejudices" toward individuals' cultural beliefs, attitudes, and perceptions affect the care they provide. Their awareness of their bias is closely associated with the quality of healthcare provided.This study was designed to assess nurses' perceptions regarding providing care to Syrian refugee patients using metaphors and to evaluate their views based on these metaphors.The participants in this qualitative study consisted of 80 nurses who worked in Level 1 and Level 2 health institutions. Data were collected using an interview form prepared by the researchers. The form included descriptive characteristics of the nurses and two expressions used to determine the nurses' opinions on providing care for Syrian refugee patients. The nurses were given an incomplete sentence, which was "Providing care for a Syrian refugee patient…because…," and were asked to complete the blanks. The data were analyzed using the content analysis method.On the basis of "providing care for Syrian refugee patients," four categories of metaphors were determined: occupational awareness, health promotion, a difficult process/resistance, and providing service in vain. The participants generated 50 metaphors, with "humanity," "a baby/little child," and "a barrier" as the three most used metaphors, belonging to the "occupational awareness" and "a difficult process/resistance" categories, respectively.The metaphors of nurses regarding giving care to Syrian refugee patients were mostly concentrated in the categories of "occupational awareness" and "a difficult process/resistance." Metaphors generated by the nurses offer a powerful research tool to reveal, understand, and explain nurses' personal perceptions and to develop and support nursing care accordingly. In addition, the subject of transcultural nursing should be discussed more extensively in nursing education programs. Understanding the social context of refugees is very important during the nursing care process.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of foot ulcers on male patients diagnosed with type-2 diabetes, foot care and treatment, and the difficulties, experiences, feelings, and perspectives of male patients regarding foot ulcers.This study designed as a qualitative descriptive study. The study sample included 14 male patients diagnosed with a diabetic foot ulcer. Data were analysed using thematic analysis.Three main themes were identified from the interviews: diabetic foot ulcer development, diabetic foot ulcer effects, and healthcare experiences with the diabetic foot ulcer.The results of this study may serve to provide a guideline for healthcare professionals to develop foot care strategies. While the patients who participated in the study were well-informed about foot care and diabetes management, their self-care practices were poor. Good management of diabetes and external factors were correlated with the development of foot ulcers.

Objective: The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between perceived stress, perceived social support and social media addiction in university students.Method: The research is a descriptive, relational study. The sample consisted of 404 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Personal Information Form, Perceived Stress Scale, Perceived Social Support Scale, and Social Media Addiction Scale-Adult Form were used for data.Results: During the pandemic period, 71.8% of students used their mobile phones for study. 73.8% stated that their study hours have decreased. 94.1% of the students stated that the time spent at home increased, and 91.8% stated that there was an increase in the hours of using a computer or phone due to the pandemic. There were significant differences between perceived stress, social support, and social media addiction levels according to various demographic variables.Conclusion: The results showed that 86.9% of students increased their time spent online during the pandemic period. Algılanan stres, sosyal destek ve sosyal medya bağımlılık düzeyleri arasında çeşitli demografik değişkenlere göre anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Sonuçlar, öğrencilerin %86,9’unun pandemi döneminde internette geçirdikleri zamanın artırdığını gösterdi. Aims To determine the state–trait anxiety levels and solution‐focused thinking skills of primary care nurses/midwives during the COVID‐19 pandemic, and to evaluate the factors affecting these variables and the determinants of state–trait anxiety levels. Background The COVID‐19 outbreak has created intense anxiety in nurses/midwives that may affect the care they provide. Nurses and midwives may manage anxiety using solution‐focused thinking skills. Methods This descriptive correlational study included 170 nurses/midwives at 61 family health centres evaluated from 1 August to 14 September 2020. Results The participants' state and trait anxiety scores were above average, indicating a moderate level of anxiety and the mean total solution‐focused inventory scores were at a moderate level. It was determined that 47.9% of the variance in state anxiety scores could be explained by trait anxiety, age, years of professional experience, chronic illness, type of work shift during the pandemic, follow‐up of patients diagnosed with COVID‐19 using computed tomography or a COVID‐19 test, and whether the institution was taking necessary measures against COVID‐19. There was a negative relationship between state anxiety and solution‐focused inventory total score. Conclusion Nurses/midwives displayed a moderate level of anxiety and solution‐focused thinking skills during the COVID‐19 pandemic. Implications for Nursing Management Steps should be taken to improve nurses' solution‐focused thinking skills to enable them to organise quickly and manage care processes successfully in extraordinary circumstances such as pandemics. Moreover, personal empowerment programmes should be recommended for nurses and midwives to help them cope with anxiety.

Summary Objectives The purpose of this study is; to examine the knowledge and attitudes of individuals about ready-to food consumption and food products containing high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Study design Research in the city center in the eastern Mediterranean region of Turkey was held with 18 individuals over the age of two shoppers at the supermarket. Methods The study is a descriptive cross-sectional questionnaire-based study. The research was conducted between 15.09.2018 and 30.03.2019. Data were collected from 254 individuals using face-to-face interview technique. The questionnaire form consisted of questions created by the researcher to determine socio-demographic variables as well as information about ready-made food intake and foods containing high fructose corn syrup. Results The suitability of the questionnaire for factor analysis was evaluated with the “Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin coefficient” and “Bartlett Sphericity Test”. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, the 21-item survey form explains 52% of the total variance. The questionnaire items consist of four factors. Cronbach's Alpha reliability of the questionnaire is 0.860 on the whole. In the sub-factors; The first factor was 0.859, the second factor was 0.764, the third factor was 0.652, and the fourth factor was 0.616. The findings obtained in the study were analyzed using the Independent Sample t Test, One Way Anova test, Mann Whitney U test and Tukey test. SPSS 21, USA was used to analyze the study. It was determined that the average age of the participants was 31.3 ± 11.7, the rate of paying attention to ingredients and nutritional values while purchasing ready-made foods was low, and 1/4 of them did not pay attention to high fructose corn syrup in their content. There was a significant correlation between the age and employment status of the participants and their knowledge and attitudes about the foods containing corn syrup (p Conclusion It was concluded that individuals should be educated about health risks while purchasing ready-made food products and should be more informed about foods containing HFCS. It is recommended that the questionnaire used in the study be tested in different sample groups in order to increase its validity and reliability evidence.

Yalın düşünce, israflardan arınmayı ve maksimum değere ulaşmayı hedefleyerek, israf kavramını odak noktası almaktadır. Bu çalışma kapsamında da, yapım sürecindeki fiziksel olmayan israflar ve sektörde en çok karşılaşılan israf nedenleri araştırılmış, tespiti yapılmıştır. Bu israf nedenlerinin maliyet, süre ve kalite israfları açısından olasılık ve etki değerlendirmeleri yapılmış, israf matrisleri oluşturularak kritik israf nedenleri analiz edilmiştir. Böylece, bir firmanın israflarını nasıl yönetmesi gerektiği konusunda öncü bir çalışma yapılması hedeflenmiştir. Çünkü, dinamik ve karmaşık bir yapısı olan inşaat sektörünün, kalite, süre ve maliyet hedeflerine ulaşabilmek için yenilikçi yönetim yaklaşımlarına ihtiyaç duyduğu; bu yönetim yaklaşımlarında da, fiziksel ve fiziksel olmayan her türlü mevcut kaynağın en iyi şekilde kullanımını sağlamanın, sektör ve küresel açıdan faydalı ve önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

The data of the research were obtained by using Personal Information Form, Breast Cancer Worry Scale and Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale II. Results: Total score averages of women from Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale II and Breast Cancer Worry Scale are 142.73±26.3, 8.60±5.1, respectively. A statistically significant difference was determined in terms of total median score of Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale between the age groups of women, their education statuses, birth control methods, menopause statuses, acknowledging and performing statuses of Self Breast Examination, having mammography statuses and having cancer history in the family. Conclusion: In this research, it was determined that breast cancer worry of women is low and their healthy lifestyle behaviors are above average, further, it was determined that breast cancer worry and healthy lifestyle behaviors of women are affected by many socio-demographic variables.

Introduction Disasters cause difficulties for people in meeting their basic needs by creating loss of life and property. In such cases, a great number of injured people which can exceed the capacity of hospitals can be in question. The disruption of the meeting of needs for any reason can cause vital activities to stop. Purpose This study as a definition aimed at identifying the awareness level of nurses who work in a state institution of disasters. Method This study of descriptive design was carried out with 230 volunteering nurses who are working at the Faculty of Medicine Hospital located in the eastern Mediterranean region in Turkey. The data were collected through an interview form and consisting of 20 questions and ‘Preparation for Disasters for Nurses Perception Scale’ and the numbers, percentage rate and standard deviation were analyzed with the Pearson Correlation Analysis, Independent-Samples T Test and One-Way ANOVA. Findings As a result of the analyses, it was determined that there is no significant difference between the Preparation for Disaster Perception of the nurses and gender, work experience in years and disaster experience (p > 0.05) and a significant difference was found between education, training in cases of disasters, disaster training type and having read the disaster plan of the hospital (p Conclusion The responsibility of health institutions in cases of disasters consists of meeting the increasing medical and treatment needs during and after disasters.

Amaç: Retrospektif ve tanımlayıcı olarak planlanan bu çalışmada bebek ölümlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Veri toplama aracı olarak sağlık ocaklarında tutulan ve Kahramanmaraş İl Sağlık Müdürlüğü’ne bildirilen 2010 yılına ait "Perinatal ve Bebek Ölümleri Bilgi Formları” kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Ülkemizde Türkiye Nüfus ve Sağlık Araştırmaları verilerine göre Türkiye genelinde bebek ölüm hızı 2010 yılında %012.1 iken, Kahramanmaraş’ta 2010 yılında il merkezinde bebek ölüm hızı %018.5 olarak belirlenmiştir. Bilgi formları değerlendirmesi sonunda ölen bebeklerin annelerinin % 9.4' ü 18 yaş ve altında, %14.1'i 35 yaş ve üzeridir. Annelerin % 8.0’ı sigara, % 0.7’ si alkol kullanmaktadır. Gebelikleri süresince annelerin % 42.6’sının beşten az izlem aldıkları, % 56.3’ünün birinci derecede akraba olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ölen bebeklerin %52.2’sinin erkek, %55.4’ünün düşük doğum ağırlıklı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ölüm nedenleri %20.5'nin konjenital anomali, %12.2’sinin respiratuar distress sendromu, % 7.5’nin sepsis, %5.9'nun prematürite olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Bebek ölümlerinin önlenmesi için koruyucu sağlık hizmetlerine önem verilmesi, erken ve ileri yaş gebeliklerin önlenmesi, akraba evliliklerinin azaltılması, gebelik sayısının anne-bebek sağlığı için uygun sayılarda tutulması, gebelikte izlemlerin sayı ve niteliğinin geliştirilmesi, kronik hastalığı olan kadınlarda gebelik planlama ve izlemine özen gösterilmesi önerilmektedir.

Araştırmalar, davranış değişimini kolaylaştırmada rehber olarak kullanılan transteoretik modelin değişim aşamalarına odaklı motivasyonel görüşmelerle, bireyin değişme ve/veya değişmeme nedenlerini daha iyi anlamasını sağlayabilecek rehber modellerden biri olduğunu davranış değişimini kolaylaştırabileceğini göstermektedir. Bu makalenin amacı transteoretik modelin davranış değişim aşamalarını motivasyonel görüşme yöntem ve teknikleri ile destekleyerek, modeli kullanacak araştırmacılara/hemşirelere ve sağlık personellerine temel bilgi ve sigara bırakma davranışını gerçekleştirebilmek üzere örnek görüşme planları sunmaktır., Smoking addiction is an important problem and disease for public health. Researches show that transtheoretical model which is used as a guide to make behavior change easy is one of guide model which would provide that individuals would understand better the reasons of changing and/or not changing with motivational interviews focused on change steps and would make behavior change easy. The goal of this article is to present sample interview plans as to make core knowledge for researchers/nurses and health staff who will use the model and behavior to give up smoking by supporting behavior change steps of transtheoretical model with motivational interview methods and techniques.

Epidemiological studies indicate that more than half of the elderly population suffers from chronic sleep disturbances. Therefore, this descriptive study was conducted to examine sleep quality, excessive daytime sleepiness, daytime napping, and depression among a population of nursing home residents.The study's sample included 73 elderly people living in a nursing home in Turkey. Geriatric Depression Scale, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, and a sleep diary were used.The participants' mean age was 74.0 years (standard deviation (SD) = 6.7). Forty-four of the individuals had a poor sleep quality prevalence of 60.3%; and the mean global PSQI score was 6.6 (SD = 3.6). Their mean ESS score was 5.9 (SD = 4.6) and 14 participants (19.2%) had daytime sleepiness. The mean daytime napping duration was 1.0 h (SD = 1.3) according to the participants' sleep diaries. The study found that 60.3% of the participants were depressed, furthermore the mean depression score was 15.9 (SD = 7.0). There was a significant correlation between the PSQI subscores; subjective sleep quality, the sleep latency, and sleep disturbances scores and depression scores. Also, daytime napping frequency and daytime napping duration, according to the sleep diary, were correlated positively with depression scores.The current study's results confirm the previously reported high prevalence of poor sleep quality and depression in this nursing home population. Clinicians need to assess patients appropriately to identify high prevalence of sleep problems and depression in nursing home patients and initiate appropriate referrals and interventions.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim sınıf öğretmenlerinin matematik dersinde drama tekniğinin kullanılmasının öğrencilerin matematik dersi temel becerilerine katkısına ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, anket sonuçları ile ilgili ek kontrol sorularında görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Örneklem ise random yoluyla seçilen yedi öğretmenden oluşmuştur. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır Araştırma da ulaşılan sonuçlar şöyle özetlenebilir; Araştırma kapsamında bulunan problem çözme, iletişim, ilişkilendirme ve akıl yürütme becerilerine drama tekniğinin katkısına öğretmenlerin katıldıkları, sınıf öğretmenleri matematik dersinde drama tekniğinin kullanılmasının öğrencilerin problem çözme becerisine katkısına ilişkin görüşlerini ‘Kesinlikle Katılıyorum’ düzeyinde, iletişim becerisine katkısına ilişkin görüşlerini ‘Katılıyorum’ düzeyinde, ilişkilendirme becerisine katkısına ilişkin görüşlerini ‘Katılıyorum’ düzeyinde, akıl yürütme becerisine katkısına ilişkin görüşlerini ‘Kesinlikle Katılıyorum’ düzeyinde belirttikleri saptanmıştır.

56 ÖZET Bu çalışma Kahramanmaraş ilinde 0-12 aylık çocuğu olan kadınların süt çocuğu beslenmesi ile ilgili bilgi tutum ve davranışlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamına Kahramanmaraş ili içinde 0-12 aylık çocuğu olan 163 anne alındı. Veriler, anket yöntemi ile toplandı ve bilgisayarda değerlendirildi. Verilerin istatistiki analizinde Khi kare ve yüzdelik sayılar kullanıldı. Araştırma kapsamına alman annelerin yaş ortalaması 25.3, öğrenim durumları ise %62.6 oranında ilkokul mezunu olarak belirlendi. Araştırma kapsamına alman annelerin doğumdan sonra ilk bir saat içinde bebeklerini emzirmeme nedenleri %32 oranıyla kendi rahatsızlığı, %29 oranıyla sütün olmaması olduğu belirlendi. Doğum sonrası annelerin %23.3'ünün ilk 45 dakikada bebeklerini emzirdikleri, buna karşılık üç ezan bekleme geleneğini annelerin %30.7 sinin sürdürdüğü saptanmıştır. İlk 4-6 ay anne sütü verme oram %22.1 olarak tesbit edilmiştir. Annelerin bebeklerini besleme oram %73'ünün anne sütü ile %12.3'ünün inek sütü ile, %14.7'sinin anne sütü ve inek sütü ile besledikleri belirlenmiştir. Annelerin 4-6 aylar arasında ek gıdaya başlama oram %37.4 olarak belirlenmiştir. Annelerin bebeklerine ek gıda verirken bilinçli bir şekilde vermedikleri saptanmıştır. Çocuğun gelişmesi ile beslendiği gıda ve çocuğun gelişmesi ile boy ve kilosunun bilinmesi, annenin öğrenim durumu ile ilk verilen ek gıda türü arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak annelerin anne sütü ve emzirme konusunda bilgi eksikliği ve kusurlu davranışları olduğu saptanmıştır. 57 SUMMARY In this study, it has been aimed to determine the knowledge, attitude and behaviours of women who have 0-12 monthly babies on nourishing for those babies in the province of Kahramanmaraş For this study 163 mothers who have got 0-12 monhtly babies were subjected to the research. Data were collected by the method of questionnaire and evaluated by using computer. Thus, chi-squere and percentage numbers at statistic analysis were used. The average of the women for the study 25.3 and 62.6 percent of them were graduated from the primary school. After the birth in the first an hour the reasons of these mothers were not be able to give suck their babies are 32% of them are being not in good health and 29% of them had not got breast milk. At the end of our study the use of artificial milk was determined as 64.5%. At our study it was determined that 23.3 percent of mother gave suck in 45 minutes after birth but 30.7 percent waited third prayer call as traditional. The ratio of breast feeding at first 4-6 months is 22.1 percent. And also it was point out that 73 percent of the babies were fed by breast feeding, 12.3 percent by cow milk and 14.7 percent of babies were fed by the mixture of breast feeding and cow's milk. The ratio of mothers begining to feed with additional baby food in 4-6 months was 37.4 percent and it was determined that the mothers were not conscious about this subject.58 And also in this study it was pointed out that there was a meaningful relation between the education of mother and growing up and the known of weight of babies and the additional baby food, also food infants need for. As a result, it was determined that the mothers lacking of knowledge about breast milk and breast feeding and misbehavings. 69

Hypertension is a priority disease for public health since its being one of the significant cause of cardiovascular conditions and one of the important reasons of mortality. In the existence of hypertension, individual life factors such as cigarette smoking, alcohol consumption, sedantery life style and obesity play a serious role. Nurses -who are on duty of encouragement to people for accomplishment of healthy life style act in association with education, consultation, guidance- are valuable member of health service in order to protect and develop and maintain the health of individuals. They may also have the role especially on the awareness of hypertension and development of healthy life style for individuals.
