Abstract Structured vortex light with orbital angular momentum (OAM) shows great promise for high-bandwidth optical communications, quantum information and computing, optical tweezers, microscopy, astronomy, among others. Generating, controlling, and detecting of vortex light by all-electrical means is at the heart of next generation nanophotonic platforms. However, on-chip electrical photodetection of structured vortex light remains challenging. Here, we propose an on-chip photodetector based on 2D broadband thermoelectric material (PdSe2) with a well-designed spin-Hall couplers to directly characterize angular momentum modes of vortex structured light. Photothermoelectric responses in the PdSe2 nanoflake, excited by the focusing surface plasmons, show a magnitude proportional to the total angular momentum modes of the infrared vortex beams, thereby achieving direct detection of spin and orbital angular momentum, as well as the chirality and ellipticity of scalar vortex lights. Our works provide a promising strategy for developing on-chip angular momentum optoelectronic devices, which play a key role in the next-generation high-capacity optical communications, quantum information and computing, imaging, and other photonic systems.

Abstract Nonlinear optical activities, especially second harmonic generation (SHG), are key phenomena in inversion-symmetry-broken two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs). On the other hand, anisotropic nonlinear optical processes are important for unique applications in nano-nonlinear photonic devices with polarization functions, having become one of focused research topics in the field of nonlinear photonics. However, the strong nonlinearity and strong optical anisotropy do not exist simultaneously in common 2D materials. Here, we demonstrate strong second-order and third-order susceptibilities of 64 pm/V and 6.2×10−19 m2/V2, respectively, in the even-layer PdPSe, which has not been discovered in other common TMDCs (e.g., MoS2). Strikingly, it also simultaneously exhibited strong SHG anisotropy with an anisotropic ratio of ~45, which is the largest reported among all 2D materials to date, to the best of our knowledge. In addition, the SHG anisotropy ratio can be harnessed from 0.12 to 45 (375 times) by varying the excitation wavelength due to the dispersion of $${\chi }^{(2)}$$ χ ( 2 ) values. As an illustrative example, we further demonstrate polarized SHG imaging for potential applications in crystal orientation identification and polarization-dependent spatial encoding. These findings in 2D PdPSe are promising for nonlinear nanophotonic and optoelectronic applications.

Objective(s): Salidroside (SAL), an active ingredient purified from the medicinal plant Rhodiola rosea, has anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anticancer, and neuroprotective properties. The study aims to examine SAL’s protective role in liver damage brought on by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Materials and Methods: Six to eight-week-old male C57BL/6 wild-type mice were intraperitoneally treated with 10 mg/kg LPS for 24 hr and 50 mg/kg SAL two hours before LPS administration. Mice were categorized into control, LPS, and LPS + SAL groups. To evaluate liver injury, biochemical and TUNNEL staining test studies were performed. The Elisa assay analyzed interleukin- 1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) pro-inflammatory cytokine expression levels. RT-qPCR and western blotting measured mRNA and protein expression of SIRT1, NF-кB, NLRP3, cleaved caspase-1, and GSDMD, respectively.Results: Analysis of the serum alanine/aspartate aminotransferases (ALT/AST), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) revealed that SAL protected against hepatotoxicity induced by LPS. Precise modeling of power systems is vital to ensure stability, reliability, and secure operations. In power industrial settings, model parameters can become skewed over time due to prolonged device usage or modifications made to the control systems. Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), one of the most prevalent generators in wind farms, is sensitive to transient occurrences. Consequently, parameter calibration of DFIG becomes a crucial focal point in power system planning and operational studies. In this paper, two baseline approaches are first developed to identify the potentially harmful parameters of the DFIG system, including the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method and the state-of-the-art off-policy Reinforcement Learning (RL) method, Soft Actor-Critic (SAC). The outcomes demonstrated that the SAC method outperformed PSO, resulting in an impressive reduction of 74.67% Mean Squared Error (MSE) and a more efficient testing period. In further exploration, a novel hybrid approach called SAC-PSO is developed, with SAC being the teacher of PSO to tackle scenarios with multiple potential solutions. The results exhibited an even greater enhancement over using SAC alone, leading to a remarkable reduction of 87.84% MSE during the testing phase. The proposed method can also effectively apply to a power plant incorporating multiple wind generators.

Rolling and annealing are common composite processes of Copper/Aluminum composites (Cu/Al), but the formation of intermetallic compounds (IMCs) at Cu/Al interfaces and their relationship with processing conditions still lack a nanoscale understanding. Here, we use molecular dynamics (MD) method to simulate the formation of IMCs at Cu/Al interface under different rolling and annealing process parameters with their formation mechanisms quantitatively analyzed. XRD, RDF and potential energy analysis show that rolling promotes the formation of interfacial IMCs, because copper and aluminum atoms tend to diffuse into each other at the interface and combine to form IMCs during rolling. The effects of different size ratios of copper to aluminum and annealing on IMCs are also evaluated. By studying the equivalent phonon thermal conductivity of the interfacial layer and shear strength, it is shown that IMCs enhances interfacial phonon heat transfer, but reduce the interfacial shear strength due to their brittle and hard properties. In addition, the rolling and annealing processes are able to change the dislocation density, thereby affecting the phonon scattering and shear strength of Cu/Al. These results are expected to guide improved directions for the process optimization of high-performance Cu/Al.

Food waste is increasingly becoming a global challenge, and school canteens are a significant and severe source of food waste. Reducing food waste is conducive to ensuring food security and environmental sustainability. A good understanding on the influencing factors of food waste is a prerequisite for exploring effective measures to reduce food waste. We obtained senior high school first-hand food waste data through field survey using the methods of face-to-face interview, questionnaire survey, and direct weighing in September 2019. Our survey data showed that the per capita per meal food waste of senior high school students (SHSS) was 44.48 g. The specific performance was as follows: the per capita per meal food waste of breakfast, lunch, and dinner was 22.39, 55.28, and 54.24 g, respectively. The empirical results showed that the frequency of eating snacks had a significant effect on whether the SHSS had food waste behavior and significantly affected the amount of food waste by SHSS. With the increased frequency of eating snacks, the food waste probability was increased and the amount of food waste was greater. This study suggested that we could eat snacks but reduced the frequency of eating snacks to achieve the goal of mitigating food waste. This was a simple and effective way to reduce food waste.

Abstract Background Allicin is a bioactive compound with potent antioxidative activity and plays a protective effect in myocardial damage and fibrosis. The role and mechanism of Allicin in septic cardiomyopathy are unclear. In this study, we investigated the effects and underlying mechanisms of Allicin on lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced injury in H9c2 cardiomyocytes. Methods H9c2 cardiomyocyte cells were pretreated with Allicin (0, 25, 50, and 100 µM) for 2 h, followed by incubation with LPS (10 µg/mL) for 24 h at 37 °C. Cell viability (cell counting kit-8 [CCK-8]), apoptosis (TUNEL staining), oxidative stress (malondialdehyde [MDA] and superoxide dismutase [SOD]), and cytokines release (Interleukin beta [IL-β], Interleukin 6 [IL-6], and tumor necrosis factor-alpha [TNF-α]) were determined. The mRNA and protein expression of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), and NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) signaling pathway molecules were quantified by real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and western blot, respectively. Abstract One of the most exciting breakthroughs in physics is the concept of topology that was recently introduced to photonics, achieving robust functionalities, as manifested in the recently demonstrated topological lasers. However, so far almost all attention was focused on lasing from topological edge states. Bulk bands that reflect the topological bulk-edge correspondence have been largely missed. Here, we demonstrate an electrically pumped topological bulk quantum cascade laser (QCL) operating in the terahertz (THz) frequency range. In addition to the band-inversion induced in-plane reflection due to topological nontrivial cavity surrounded by a trivial domain, we further illustrate the band edges of such topological bulk lasers are recognized as the bound states in the continuum (BICs) due to their nonradiative characteristics and robust topological polarization charges in the momentum space. Therefore, the lasing modes show both in-plane and out-of-plane tight confinements in a compact laser cavity (lateral size ~3λlaser). Experimentally, we realize a miniaturized THz QCL that shows single-mode lasing with a side-mode suppression ratio (SMSR) around 20 dB. We also observe a cylindrical vector beam for the far-field emission, which is evidence for topological bulk BIC lasers. Our demonstration on miniaturization of single-mode beam-engineered THz lasers is promising for many applications including imaging, sensing, and communications.

Abstract Filter-free miniaturized polarization-sensitive photodetectors have important applications in the next-generation on-chip polarimeters. However, their polarization sensitivity is thus far limited by the intrinsic low diattenuation and inefficient photon-to-electron conversion. Here, we implement experimentally a miniaturized detector based on one-dimensional tellurium nanoribbon, which can significantly improve the photothermoelectric responses by translating the polarization-sensitive absorption into a large temperature gradient together with the finite-size effect of a perfect plasmonic absorber. Our devices exhibit a zero-bias responsivity of 410 V/W and an ultrahigh polarization ratio (2.5 × 104), as well as a peak polarization angle sensitivity of 7.10 V/W•degree, which is one order of magnitude higher than those reported in the literature. Full linear polarimetry detection is also achieved with the proposed device in a simple geometrical configuration. Polarization-coded communication and optical strain measurement are demonstrated showing the great potential of the proposed devices. Our work presents a feasible solution for miniaturized room-temperature infrared photodetectors with ultrahigh polarization sensitivity.

Abstract Infrared machine vision system for object perception and recognition is becoming increasingly important in the Internet of Things era. However, the current system suffers from bulkiness and inefficiency as compared to the human retina with the intelligent and compact neural architecture. Here, we present a retina-inspired mid-infrared (MIR) optoelectronic device based on a two-dimensional (2D) heterostructure for simultaneous data perception and encoding. A single device can perceive the illumination intensity of a MIR stimulus signal, while encoding the intensity into a spike train based on a rate encoding algorithm for subsequent neuromorphic computing with the assistance of an all-optical excitation mechanism, a stochastic near-infrared (NIR) sampling terminal. The device features wide dynamic working range, high encoding precision, and flexible adaption ability to the MIR intensity. Moreover, an inference accuracy more than 96% to MIR MNIST data set encoded by the device is achieved using a trained spiking neural network (SNN).

Aims and objectives: Sepsis-associated liver injury is a common public health problem in intensive care units. Astragaloside IV (AS-IV) is an active component extracted from the Chinese herb Astragalus membranaceus, and has been shown to have anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, and anti-apoptosis properties. The research aimed to investigate the protective effect of AS-IV in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced liver injury. Methods: Male C57BL/6 wild-type mice (6-8 week-old) were intraperitoneally injected with 10 mg/kg LPS for 24 h and AS-IV (80 mg/kg) 2 h before the LPS injection. Biochemical and histopathological analyses were carried out to assess liver injury. The RT-qPCR analyzed the mRNA expression of IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6. The mRNA and protein expression of SIRT1, nuclear Nrf2, Nrf2, and HO-1 were measured by Western blotting. Results: Serum alanine/aspartate aminotransferases (ALT/AST) analysis, malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) were showed that AS-IV protected against LPS-induced hepatotoxicity. The protection afforded by AS-IV was confirmed by pathological examination of the liver. Pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin- 1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and interleukin 6 (IL-6), were observed to be reversed by AS-IV after exposure to LPS. Western blot analysis demonstrated that AS-IV enhanced the expression levels of Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), and heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1). Conclusions: AS-IV protects against LPS-induced Liver Injury and Inflammation by modulating Nrf2-mediated oxidative stress and NLRP3-mediated inflammation.

Surface defect detection is an important technique to realize product quality inspection. In this study, we develop an innovative multi-scale pooling convolutional neural network to accomplish high-accuracy steel surface defect classification. The model was built based on SqueezeNet, and experiments were carried out on the NEU noise-free and noisy testing set. Class activation map visualization proves that the multi-scale pooling model can accurately capture the defect location at multiple scales, and the defect feature information at different scales can complement and reinforce each other to obtain more robust results. Through T-SNE visualization analysis, it is found that the classification results of this model have large inter-class distance and small intra-class distance, indicating that this model has high reliability and strong generalization ability. In addition, the model is small in size (3MB) and runs at up to 130FPS on an NVIDIA 1080Ti GPU, making it suitable for applications with high real-time requirements.

Abstract Background Salidroside (SAL) is a bioactive compound extracted from Rhodiola rosea with various biological properties. This study was designed to explore the functions of SAL on the endothelial damage induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and its related mechanisms. Methods Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were pretreated with SAL (0, 10, 25, 50, 100 μM), and then incubated with LPS (10 μg/mL). Cell viability was evaluated by MTT assay, cell injury by lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release, and inflammatory cytokines release by ELISA assay. Oxidative stress was evaluated by malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in cell lysate. Apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry and caspase-3 activity. Western blot were performed to determine expression levels of autophagy and NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) related proteins. Results SAL at 50 μM concentration showed no toxicity on HUVECs, but attenuated LPS-induced injury, as evidenced by increased cell viability, reduction in LDH level and inflammatory cytokines in culture media. Surface defect inspection is vital for the quality control of products and the fault diagnosis of equipment. Defect inspection remains challenging due to the low level of automation in some manufacturing plants and the difficulty in identifying defects. To improve the automation and intelligence levels of defect inspection, a CNN model is proposed for the high-precision defect inspection of USB components in the actual demands of factories. First, the defect inspection system was built, and a dataset named USB-SG, which contained five types of defects—dents, scratches, spots, stains, and normal—was established. The pixel-level defect ground-truth annotations were manually marked. This paper puts forward a CNN model for solving the problem of defect inspection tasks, and three strategies are proposed to improve the model’s performance. The proposed model is built based on the lightweight SqueezeNet network, and a rich feature extraction block is designed to capture semantic and detailed information. Residual-based progressive feature integration is proposed to fuse the extracted features, which can reduce the difficulty of model fine-tuning and improve the generalization ability. Finally, a multi-step deep supervision scheme is proposed to supervise the feature integration process. The experiments on the USB-SG dataset prove that the model proposed in this paper has better performance than that of other methods, and the running speed can meet the real-time demand, which has broad application prospects in the industrial inspection scene.

Abstract Multilayer structure is one of the research focuses of thermoelectric (TE) material in recent years. In this work, n-type 800 nm Bi2Te3/(Pt, Au) multilayers are designed with p-type Sb2Te3 legs to fabricate ultrathin microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) TE devices. The power factor of the annealed Bi2Te3/Pt multilayer reaches 46.5 μW cm−1 K−2 at 303 K, which corresponds to more than a 350% enhancement when compared to pristine Bi2Te3. The annealed Bi2Te3/Au multilayers have a lower power factor than pristine Bi2Te3. The power of the device with Sb2Te3 and Bi2Te3/Pt multilayers measures 20.9 nW at 463 K and the calculated maximum output power reaches 10.5 nW, which is 39.5% higher than the device based on Sb2Te3 and Bi2Te3, and 96.7% higher than the Sb2Te3 and Bi2Te3/Au multilayers one. This work can provide an opportunity to improve TE properties by using multilayer structures and novel ultrathin MEMS TE devices in a wide variety of applications.

Deep analysis and demonstration of the developed crossed multi-arch greenhouse were conducted from the perspectives of conceptual design, architectural and structural design, functional design, loading parameters, and structural internal forces. The results show that the crossed multi-arch greenhouse combines the ventilation area between the floor-standing round-arch greenhouse and the unsuitable operation area under the arch bars into one to form a multi-span crossed arch structure with good ventilation and heat dissipation, land savings, and fine mechanical behaviors. The main arch structure uses 32.4% less steel and 25% less foundation volume than the control greenhouse under the same load, which can save about CNY 10,184.00/667m2 of investment according to the current cost level. In the meantime, ventilation simulation analysis of the developed crossed multi-arch greenhouse was carried out using the software Design Builder. A comparison shows that, under the condition of no wind and breeze (1 m/s) in summer, the setting of the ventilation channel has obvious advantages for the heat dissipation of the greenhouse, and the average temperature is about 2 °C lower than that of the greenhouse without a ventilation channel; under the breeze condition, the temperature in the crossed multi-arch greenhouse is more evenly distributed than that of an ordinary round-arch greenhouse with ventilation channels. Considering the greenhouse function, building cost, using effect, and other evaluation factors, the crossed multi-arch greenhouse can meet the production environment requirements of tropical coastal areas (rain protection, sunshade, and ventilation), with obvious structural advantages, good typhoon resistance, and low construction costs, which is a preferable choice of greenhouse type.

Objective To explore the effects and potential mechanisms of fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4) in a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced in vitro septic cardiomyopathy model. Methods Rat cardiomyocyte H9c2 cells were transfected with small interfering RNA (siRNA) against FABP4 (siFABP4), then induced with LPS. The following parameters were measured: cell viability, lactate dehydrogenase release, cardiac hypertrophy and related marker expression, apoptosis, inflammatory cytokine release and expression, and the activation of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) pathways. Results LPS increased the mRNA and protein expression of FABP4 in H9c2 cells. FABP4 silencing by siFABP4 significantly inhibited LPS-induced cardiac hypertrophy and reduced the mRNA expression of the myocardial hypertrophy markers atrial natriuretic peptide and brain natriuretic peptide. siFABP4 also attenuated LPS-induced increase in TUNEL-positive apoptotic cells, caspase-3 and caspase-9 activities, and the release and expression of proinflammatory cytokines. Mechanistically, we found that FABP4 silencing inhibited the mRNA and protein expression of TLR4 and suppressed the NF-kappa B signaling pathway, as evidenced by reduced nuclear NF-κB p65 and increased cytoplasmic I-κBα expression in LPS-stimulated H9c2 cells. Conclusion FABP4 silencing reduces LPS-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and apoptosis by down-regulating the TLR4/NF-κB axis.

Flexible electrochromic energy storage devices (FECESDs) for powering flexible electronics have attracted considerable attention. Silver nanowires (AgNWs) are one kind of the most promising flexible transparent electrodes (FTEs) materials for the emerging flexible devices. Currently, fabricating FECESD based on AgNWs FTEs is still hindered by their intrinsic poor electrochemical stability. To address this issue, a hybrid AgNWs/Co(OH) _2 /PEDOT:PSS electrode is proposed. The PEDOT:PSS could not only improve the resistance against electrochemical corrosion of AgNWs, but also work as functional layer to realize the color-changing and energy storage properties. Moreover, the Co(OH) _2 interlayer further improved the color-changing and energy storage performance. Based on the improvement, we assembled the symmetrical FECESDs. Under the same condition, the areal capacitance (0.8 mF cm ^−2 ) and coloration efficiency (269.80 cm ^2 C ^−1 ) of AgNWs/Co(OH) _2 /PEDOT:PSS FECESDs were obviously higher than AgNWs/PEDOT:PSS FECESDs. Furthermore, the obtained FECESDs exhibited excellent stability against the mechanical deformation. The areal capacitance remained stable during 1000 times cyclic bending with a 25 mm curvature radius. These results demonstrated the broad application potential of the AgNWs/Co(OH) _2 /PEDOT:PSS FECESD for the emerging portable and multifunctional electronics.

Background. Multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria are the main cause of lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) with high mortality. The purpose of this study is to identify the risk factors associated with MDR by performing a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods. PubMed, EMBASE (via Ovid), and Cochrane Library were systematically searched for studies on the risk factors for MDR bacteria in LRTIs as of November 30, 2019. Literature screening, data abstraction, and quality assessment of the eligible studies were performed independently by two researchers. Results. A total of 3,607 articles were retrieved, of which 21 articles representing 20 cohort studies published in English were included after title/abstract and full-text screening. Among the 21 articles involving 7,650 patients and 1,360 MDR organisms, ten reported the risk factors for MDR Gram-positive bacteria (GPB) and Gram-negative bacteria (GNB), ten for MDR GNB, and one for MDR GPB. The meta-analysis results suggested that prior antibiotic treatment, inappropriate antibiotic therapy, chronic lung disease, chronic liver disease and cerebral disease, prior MDR and PA infection/colonization, recent hospitalization, longer hospitalization stay, endotracheal tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation, tube feeding, nursing home residence, and higher disease severity score were independent risk factors for MDR bacteria. Conclusions. This review identified fourteen clinical factors that might increase the risk of MDR bacteria in patients with LRTIs. Clinicians could take into account these factors when selecting antibiotics for patients and determine whether coverage for MDR bacteria is required. More well-designed studies are needed to confirm the various risk factors for MDR bacteria in the future.

With the development of smart grid and low-carbon electricity, a high proportion of renewable energy is connected to the grid. In addition, the peak-valley difference of system load increases, which makes the traditional grid scheduling method no longer suitable. Therefore, this paper proposes a two-stage low-carbon economic scheduling model considering the characteristics of wind, light, thermal power units, and demand response at different time scales. This model not only concerns the deep peak state of thermal power units under the condition of large-scale renewable energy, but also sets the uncertain models of PDR (Price-based Demand Response) virtual units and IDR (Incentive Demand Response) virtual units. Taking the system operation cost and carbon treatment cost as the target, the improved bat algorithm and 2PM (Two-point Estimation Method) are used to solve the problem. The introduction of climbing costs and low load operating costs can more truly reflect the increased cost of thermal power units. Meanwhile, the source-load interaction can weigh renewable energy limited costs and the increased costs of balancing volatility. The proposed method can be applied to optimal dispatch and safe operation analysis of the power grid with a high proportion of renewable energy. Compared with traditional methods, the total scheduling cost of the system can be reduced, and the rights and obligations of contributors to system operation can be guaranteed to the greatest extent.

Objective. To explore whether pictograms could help people understand reflux symptoms. Methods. Gastroenterologists (n=28), non-GI physicians (n=30), healthy people without medical education (n=34), patients with gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD) (n=45), and general people (n=100) were included. Pictograms denoting classic reflux symptoms (sour regurgitation, heartburn, retrosternal pain, and regurgitation) were created by the joint efforts of an artist and a gastroenterologist. The subjects were asked to tell the meaning of each card within 30 s. Results. Compared with the physicians, healthy people without medical education tended to make mistakes in the understanding of the terms of reflux symptoms. Among GERD patients, all the terms of reflux symptoms could be understood accurately. The measurement of in-plane displacement in two orthogonal directions is of considerable significance for modern industries. This paper reports on a spatial carrier phase-shift digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) for the simultaneous measurement of in-plane displacement in two orthogonal directions. The object is illuminated from a single direction and observed from four symmetrical directions simultaneously. One pair of the four observation directions is sensitive to in-plane displacement in one direction, and the other pair is sensitive to in-plane displacement in the perpendicular direction, resulting in the displacement in two directions being measured independently. The polarization property of light is used to avoid cross-interference between the two pairs of beams. Spatial carrier frequencies are generated by aperture misalignment, and the displacement in two directions is modulated onto the same interferogram. With a spatial carrier phase-shift technique, the displacement can be separated in the frequency domain and the phase can be evaluated from a single interferogram in real time. The capability of DSPI is described by theoretical discussions and experiments.

Integrated energy systems (IES) are an important physical carrier of the energy Internet, which undertakes the tasks of energy conversion, distribution, and storage of electricity, heat and cold. From the perspective of energy Internet, this paper studies the optimal operation scheduling of an urban power grid with a high proportion of clean energy and proposes a multi-energy coordinated intelligent management method for the urban power grid. Firstly, the structure and typical characteristics of urban energy Internet are researched. On this basis, the regulatory capacity of the adjustable generator set and the regenerative equipment is used to offset the volatility of renewable energy, the internal operating system, and network stable operation constraints are considered. To solve the model, alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is used. Finally, a real-time power grid example is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A robust three-perspective digital image correlation (DIC) system based on a cross dichroic prism and single three charge-coupled device (3CCD) color cameras is proposed in this study. Images from three different perspectives are captured by a 3CCD camera using the cross dichroic prism and two planar mirrors. These images are then separated by different CCD channels to perform correlation calculation with an existing multi-camera DIC algorithm. The proposed system is considerably more compact than the conventional multi-camera DIC system. In addition, the proposed system has no loss of spatial resolution compared with the traditional single-camera DIC system. The principle and experimental setup of the proposed system is described in detail, and a series of tests is performed to validate the system. Experimental results show that the proposed system performs well in displacement, morphology, and strain measurement.

Composite materials have seen widespread use in the aerospace industry and are becoming increasingly popular in the automotive industry due to their high strength and low weight characteristics. The increasing usage of composite materials has resulted in the need for more effective techniques for nondestructive testing (NDT) of composite structures. Of these techniques, digital shearography is one the most sensitive and accurate methods for NDT. Digital shearography can directly measure strain with high sensitivity when combined with different optical setups, phase-shift techniques, and algorithms. Its simple setup and less sensitivity to environmental disturbances make it particularly well suited for practical NDT applications. This paper provides a review of the phase measurement technique and recent developments in digital shearographic NDT. The introduction of new techniques has expanded the range of digital shearography applications and made it possible to measure larger fields and detect more directional or deeper defects. At the same time, shearography for different materials is also under research, including specular surface materials, metallic materials, etc. Through the discussion of recent developments, the future development trend of digital shearography is analyzed, and the potentials and limitations are demonstrated.
