A group of 10 hvac contractors accounting for total sales of over $300 mil have acquired an ownership position in FMES Inc., an energy service provider. A spokesman for the consortium says that as a result of the acquisition, FMES will be independent from utilities and power equipment manufacturers in designing integrated energy services to best fit customer needs.
