10 hvac contractors form energy service provider

A group of 10 hvac contractors accounting for total sales of over $300 mil have acquired an ownership position in FMES Inc., an energy service provider. A spokesman for the consortium says that as a result of the acquisition, FMES will be independent from utilities and power equipment manufacturers in designing integrated energy services to best fit customer needs. The ten contractors will allow FMES to provide a broader array of services and serve customers in a greater number of locations than before.
