In the last century, polymer materials such as polylactic acid (PLA), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PET-G) are widely used in many industrial fields due to being light, cheap, sustainable, and providing enough strength for engineering applications. Although plastic materials are mostly manufactured by the extrusion method, the 3D printing method is also taking the attention of researchers in the last decade because of its advantages over traditional methods. When the literature efforts about 3D printed polymers are examined, it can be seen that they are mostly focused on mechanical performance-determining processes such as tensile, compression, and three-point bending. In this performance, the effect on layer height on the drop-weight impact behavior of 3D printed PET-G samples with fused deposition modelling (FDM) was examined at the various ambient temperature of 20 degrees C, 40 degrees C, and 60 degrees C besides determining the hardness and tensile strength of the specimens. The results show that a maximum average hardness value of 69,4 Shore D was obtained at the specimen with layer height of 0,4 mm. It was determined that as the layer height value increased, the hardness values of the structures increased and the tensile strength values decreased. Besides, it can be stated that the layer height plays a more important role in the energy absorption amounts of the parts than the test temperature. Lastly, according to macroscopic and microscopic detections, no cracks were observed in the samples with a layer height of 0.4 mm, while it was determined that cracks were formed extending from the center to the corners in the samples with a layer height of 0.1 mm and 0.2 mm.

Metal eklemeli imalatta en yaygın kullanılan alaşımlar olan Inconel 718 ve Ti6Al4V otomotiv, uzay-uçak, savunma sanayii, biyomedikal gibi bir çok alandaki uygulamalarda tercih edilmektedirler. Bilindiği üzere, fonksiyonel hafifletilmiş parçalar, hafif olmalarına karşın sergilemiş oldukları yüksek spesifik dayanımdan dolayı araştırmacıların ilgi odağı haline gelmiştir. Artan ilgilerin bir sonucu olarak da üzerine gelen yükü homojen dağıtma, yükü ve sesi iyi düzeyde absorbe etme gibi üstün özelliklere sahip olan hafifletilmiş parçaların yapılan tasarımı katman katman gerçek ürüne dönüştüren eklemeli imalat (Eİ) teknolojisi ile üretilme fikri ön plana çıkmıştır. Seçici lazer ergitme (SLE) ve elektron ışın ergitme (EIE) gibi Eİ yöntemlerinin geleneksel imalat yöntemlerine nazaran bir çok avantajı olmasına ragmen, üretim sırasında parçada meydana gelen kalıntı gerilim oluşumları, yüksek yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve distorsiyonlar nedeniyle, ilgili imalat yöntemleri geliştirilmeye ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu bağlamda, eklemeli imal edilen hücresel yapıların deneysel olarak kalıntı gerilim ve distorsiyon ölçümleri oldukça zor ve zaman alıcıdır. Bu çalışmada ise, biyomedikal alanda iskele ve implant çekirdek yapısı olarak kullanılan hücresel yapılar ele alınmıştır. İmplantın yükü kemiğe oranla daha fazla taşıması nedeniyle kemiğin güç kaybetmesi anlamına gelen stress shielding olgusunu minimize eden kemik-implant arasındaki osseointegrasyonu geliştiren bu hücresel yapılar % 100, % 73,4 ve % 42,6 doluluk oranı ile tasarlanmıştır. Bu hücresel yapıların Inconel 718 ve Ti6Al4V malzemelerden SLE metoduyla üretimi sırasında meydana gelen kalıntı gerilmeler (σx, σy, ve σz), distorsiyonlar, plastik birim şekil değişimleri ve meydana gelen maksimum sıcaklık değerleri Eİ simülasyon programı Amphyon 2021 ile tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar göstermektedir ki, Ti6Al4V parçalar, Inconel 718 parçalara göre daha fazla deplasman göstermektedir. Çatlak oluşumunun hangi bölgede gerçekleşebileceğine dair öngörü sağlayan plastik birim şekil değişimleri ise parçaların alt köşe bölgelerinde, destek yapının bittiği, asıl parçanın yer aldığı bölgelerde lokalize olmuştur. Ayrıca, parçalardaki maksimum sıcaklık değerleri imalat yüksekliğinin artmasıyla birlikte artış göstermekte ve her iki malzeme türü için de doluluk oranları % 73,4 ve % 42,6 olan parçalarda kritik bir imalat yüksekliğinden sonra tam dolu parçaya nazaran daha fazla maksimum sıcaklık değerleri gözlemlenmiştir.

Günümüzde, eklemeli imalat yöntemlerinden biri olan eriyik yığma modelleme (EYM) metodu, tasarımları, dilimleyici programda oluşturulan g-kodlarına göre katman katman üç boyutlu (3B) ürünlere dönüştürebilmektedir. Bundan dolayı da EYM, uzay-havacılık alanındaki uygulamalardan, inşaat sektöründe evlerin yapımına ve hobi olarak parça üretimine dek birçok platformda sıklıkla tercih edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, EYM metodunu baz alan üç boyutlu yazıcıyla, %100 doluluk oranı ve 0.1 mm katman kalınlığı ile Polietilen tereftalat glikol (PET-G) malzemeden konik açılı (?=0, ?=0.25 ve ?=0.50) kirişler imal edilmiştir. Katmanlı üretimin etkilerini görebilmek amacıyla EYM metoduyla üretilen konik açılı kirişlerde, konik açısının ve sınır koşullarının (dar ya da geniş kenar mesnetli), kirişlerin doğal frekans değerlerine olan etkisi hem deneysel hem de sonlu elemanlar analizi programı Ansys APDL ile belirlenmiş ve birbirleri arasında mukayese edilmiştir. Ayrıca, sonlu elemanlar analizi programında malzeme verisi olarak girilmesi gereken elastisite modül değerlerinin deneysel olarak tespit edilebilmesi amacıyla EYM metoduyla, aynı EYM parametreleri ile ASTM D638-14 Tip 4 standardına uygun çekme test numuneleri üretilerek, ilgili numuneler çekme testine tabi tutulmuştur. Bunların yanı sıra, üretilen numunelerden sertlik ve yüzey pürüzlülük ölçümleri de gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, EYM ile üretilen konik açılı kirişlerde konik açısının 0.25’ten 0.50’ye artmasıyla birlikte ve sabit mesnetin dar kenara nazaran geniş kenardan uygulanması durumunda doğal frekans değerlerinin artış gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Sonlu elemanlar analizi sonuçları ile deneysel sonuçlar uyum halindedir.

Bu çalışmada eriyik yığarak modelleme metoduyla PLA malzemeden pozitif Poisson oranına (PO) sahip bal peteği yapı, negatif PO’na sahip re-entrant yapı, balpeteği ve re-entrant yapının bir kombinasyonu olan hibrit yapı ve son olarak da kiral yapılar üretilmiştir. Daha sonra, bu hücresel yapılarda kiriş kalınlığının ve birim hücrenin yönünün mekanik performanslarına etkisi çekme ve basma durumunda deneysel olarak incelenmiştir. EYM metoduyla üretilen hücresel yapıların çekme ve basma testleri sonucunda elastisite modül (EM) değerleri, çekme dayanımı (ÇD), basma dayanımı (BD), absorbe ettikleri enerji (AEE) ve spesifik absorbe ettikleri enerji (SAEE) miktarlarının yanı sıra Poisson oranları da tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, mekanik testler aracılığı ile elde edilen bu bulguların dışında, üretilmiş hücresel yapılı numunelerin sertlik değerleri ve yüzey pürüzlülük değerleri de ölçülmüştür. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, hücresel yapılardaki birim hücrelerin yönünün ve kiriş kalınlıklarının hücresel yapıların mekanik performansını önemli düzeyde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Hücresel yapıların ÇD ve BD’ları artan kiriş kalınlığı ile birlikte artış gösterirken, yüzey pürüzlülük ve sertlik değerleri sırasıyla ortalama 14 µm ve 75 Shore D olarak ölçülmüştür. Re-entrant, kiral ve hibrit yapıda deformasyon miktarına bağlı olarak negatif PO gözlemlenmesine rağmen, balpeteği yapılarda beklendiği üzere pozitif PO görülmüştür. Ayrıca, çekme ve basma durumunda sırasıyla kiriş kalınlığı 0,5 mm ve birim hücreleri y yönüne bakan balpeteği yapı (Hy 0,5) ve re-entrant yapı (Ry 0,5) maksimum AEE ve SAEE sergilemektedirler., In this study, honeycomb structure with positive Poisson ratio (PO), re-entrant structure with negative PO, hybrid structure which is a combination of honeycomb and re-entrant structure and finally chiral structures were produced from PLA material by fused deposition modelling (FDM). Then, the effects of rib thickness and direction of the unit cell on the mechanical performances of these cellular structures were investigated experimentally in tension and compression conditions. As a result of tension and compression tests of cellular structured which are manufactured by FDM method, their elasticity modulus (EM), tensile strength (TS), compression strength (CS), absorbed energy (AE) and specific absorbed energy (SAE) were determined besides their Poisson ratios (PR). In addition to these findings obtained via mechanical tests, the hardness values and surface roughness values of the produced cellular structured samples were also measured. According to the results, it was determined that the direction and rib thickness of the unit cells in cellular structures significantly affect the mechanical performance of the cellular structures. While the TS and CS of the cellular structures increase with increasing rib thickness, the surface roughness and hardness values were measured as 14 µm and 75 Shore D, respectively. Although negative PO was observed in re-entrant, chiral and hybrid structures depending on the amount of deformation, positive PO was observed in honeycomb structures as expected. B thickness 0.5 mm and unit cells of the honeycomb structure (Hy 0.5) and the re-entrant structure (Ry 0.5) facing the y direction have the maximum AE and SAE values in tension and compression conditions, respectively. In addition, honeycomb structure and re-entrant structure have rib thickness of 0,5 mm and unit cells on y direction (Hy 0,5 and Ry 0,5) presents maximum AE and SAE values in order of tension and compression cases.

As it is known, functional lightened parts have become the focus of attention of researchers due to the high specific strength they exhibit, despite their lightness. As a result of the increasing interest, the idea of manufacturing lightened parts, which have superior properties such as homogeneous distribution of the load and good absorption of load and sound, has come to the fore with the additive manufacturing (AM) technology, which transforms the design into a real product layer by layer. Although AM methods such as selective laser melting (SLM) and electron beam melting (EBM) have many advantages over traditional manufacturing methods, the related manufacturing methods need to be developed due to residual stresses, high surface roughness and distortions that occur in the part during manufacturing. In this context, experimental residual stress and distortion measurements of additively manufactured cellular structures are very difficult and time consuming. In this study, cellular structures used as scaffold and implant core structures in the biomedical field are discussed. These cellular structures, which improve osseointegration between bone-implant, which minimizes the phenomenon of stress shielding, which means the loss of strength of the bone, because the implant carries more load than the bone, is designed with 100%, 73.4% and 42.6% infill rate. The residual stresses (σx, σy, and σz), distortions, plastic strains and the maximum temperature values that occur during the production of these cellular structures from Inconel 718 and Ti6Al4V materials with the SLM method were determined by the AM simulation program Amphyon 2021. The results obtained show that Ti6Al4V parts have more displacement than Inconel 718 parts. Plastic strains which provide prediction about where the crack formation may occur, are localized in the lower corner regions of the parts, where the support structure ends and where the main part is located. In addition, the maximum temperature values of the parts increase with the increase of the building height, and for both material types, the parts with 73.4% and 42.6% infill rates have been observed to have higher maximum temperature values after a critical building height compared to the full part.

Plastik malzemeler hafif ve ucuz olmalarının yanı sıra enjeksiyon kalıplama ve eklemeli imalat gibi çeşitli imalat yöntemleriyle kolayca üretilebildiği için bir çok uygulamada yaygın olarak tercih edilmektedirler. En çok kullanılan plastik malzemelerden biri olan ABS zaman zaman aşınma ve korozyon direncinin artırılması amacıyla kaplanmaktadır. Bu amaçla, ABS numuneler enjeksiyon kalıplama teknolojisiyle üretilmiş ve daha sonra bazı numuneler adım adım çok katmanlı Cu-Ni-Cr ile kaplanmıştır. Daha sonra, hazırlanan kaplamalı ve kaplamasız numunelerin yüzey pürüzlülük değerleri profilometre ile ölçülmüştür. Akabinde, kaplanan numune hassas kesme cihazı ile kesilerek, optik mikroskop ile mikro görüntüsü elde edilmiştir. Son olarak, kaplamalı ve kaplamasız numunelerin aşınma performansı 5N, 7N ve 10N gibi çeşitli yükler altında pin-on-disk aşınma cihazı ile test edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, ortalama sürtünme katsayısı ve sürtünme kuvvetlerinin yanı sıra numunelerin yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve aşınma seviyesi belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlar, çok katmanlı Cu-Ni-Cr kaplamanın sürtünme kuvvetlerini ve ortalama sürtünme katsayısı değerlerini önemli ölçüde etkilediğini göstermektedir., Plastic materials are widely preferred in many applications due to being light and cheap in addition to being manufactured easily with various manufacturing methods like injection molding or additive manufacturing. One of the most used plastic material ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is sometimes coated to increase its wear and corrosion resistance. In this study, investigating the effect of coating and test forces on wear behavior of injection-molded ABS specimens at room temperature were focused. For this purpose, ABS specimens were manufactured with injection molding technology and some samples were multilayer Cu-Ni-Cr coated step by step. Then, surface roughness values of prepared coated and uncoated specimens were measured by surface roughness profilometer. Subsequently, the micro view of the coated sample was obtained from an optical microscope after cutting the sample with the precision cutting machine. Lastly, the wear performance of coated and uncoated samples was tested under various loads such as 5N, 7N, and 10N by using pin-on-disc test equipment. In conclusion, surface roughness and wear level of samples were determined besides the average friction coefficient and friction forces. The results show that multilayer Cu-Ni-Cr coating affects the friction forces and average friction coefficient values significantly.

Gıdaların karakterizasyonunda ve insan sağlığına olası etkilerinin ortaya çıkarılmasında fenolik bileşik içeriklerinin belirlenmesi büyük önem taşımaktadır. Gıdalarda fenolik bileşik analizi için geleneksel teknikler maliyetlidir ve zaman alan numune hazırlama adımları gerektirir. Günümüzde biyosensörler, bu tür geleneksel tekniklere alternatif olarak fenolik bileşikler için güvenilir, uygun maliyetli, pratik ve yerinde analizlere olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu tezde, toplam fenolik bileşik tayini için basit ve kullanımı kolay bir lakkaz temelli amperometrik biyosensör geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Trametes versicolor ticari lakkazı, tutuklama yöntemiyle jelatine immobilize edildi. Karbon pasta elektrot, immobilize enzimin grafit tozu ve mineral yağ ile homojenize edilmesiyle hazırlanmıştır. Üçlü elektrot sistemi ile yapılan amperometrik ölçümlerde standart fenolik bileşik olarak gallik asit kullanılmıştır. Lakkaz temelli biyosensörün çalışma koşulları ve immobilizasyon koşulları gibi deneysel değişkenler optimize edildi. Optimum immobilizasyon koşullarına göre hazırlanan biyosensörün karakterizasyonu ve gerçek numunelerin toplam fenolik içeriklerinin belirlenmesinde kullanılabilirliği araştırıldı. Deneysel sonuçlara göre lakkaz temelli biyosensör için reaksiyon koşulları, 50 mM derişimli fosfat tamponu (pH 6,0) ve 40ºC; biyosensörün biyoaktif tabakası için immobilize edilen enzim miktarı 1,25 U/5,0 µL; jelatin miktarı 2,0 mg olarak optimize edildi. Geliştirilen biyosensörün karakterizasyon çalışmaları sonucunda, gallik asit için doğrusal tayin aralığı 0,5-100 µM, cevap süresi 50-100 saniye ve tayin sınırı (LOD) 0,1323 µM olarak belirlendi. Tekrarlanabilirlik çalışmalarında (n=10) 20 μM gallik asit derişiminde ortalama değer (x), standart sapma (±S.S.) ve varyasyon katsayısı (% V.K.), 20,83544 ±0,774916 µM ve % 3,7 olarak hesaplandı. Oda koşullarında depolanan biyosensör, 10 günün sonunda immobilize enzim aktivitesinin % 86'sını korumuştur. Geleneksel yöntemlerle elde edilen üzüm fermente içeceklerden hardaliye ve şarap örneklerinde toplam fenolik madde tayini için geliştirilen biyosensörün performansı değerlendirilmiştir. Eşdeğer gallik asit miktarına göre biyosensör tarafından ölçülen toplam fenolik madde miktarı, likid kromatografi-kütle/kütle spektrometrisi (LCMS/MS) yönteminden elde edilen sonuçlarla karşılaştırılmıştır. Ayrıca hardaliye ve şarabın içeriğinde bulunan bazı maddelerin biyosensör cevabına girişim etkileri araştırılmıştır. Lakkaz temelli biyosensör sonuçları, LC-MS/MS kullanılarak yapılan analiz sonuçlarıyla karşılaştırıldığında, hardaliye ve şarap için sırasıyla % 100,44 ve % 97,2 korelasyon gösterdiği hesaplanmıştır. The determination of phenolic compound contents is of the great importance to characterizing foods and finding out the potential human health effects. Traditional techniques for phenolic compound analysis in foods are costly and require timeconsuming sample preparation steps. Nowadays, the biosensors, as an alternative to such conventional techniques, enable to reliable, cost-effective, practical and on-site analyses for phenolic compounds. In this thesis, the development of a simple and easy-to-handle laccase based amperometric biosensor for the determination of total phenolic compound was aimed. For this purpose, commercial Trametes versicolor laccase was immobilized to gelatin by the entrapment method. Carbon paste electrode was prepared by homogenized of immobilized enzyme with graphite powder and mineral oil. Gallic acid was used as the standard phenolic compound for the amperometric measurements performed with the triple electrode system. Experimental variables such as operating conditions and immobilization conditions of the laccase based biosensor were optimized. The characterization of the biosensor prepared according to the optimum immobilization conditions and its utility for the determination of total phenolic contents of real samples were investigated. According to the experimental results, the reaction conditions for the laccase based biosensor were 50 mM of phosphate buffer (pH 6.0) and 40ºC; for the bioactive layer of the biosensor, the amounts of immobilized enzyme and gelatin were optimized as 1.25 U/5.0 µL and as 2.0 mg, respectively. As a result of the characterization studies of the developed biosensor, the linear detection range for gallic acid was determined as 0.5-100 µM, the response time as 50-100 seconds and the detection limit (LOD) as 0.1323 µM. In the reproducibility studies (n=10), the mean value (x), standard deviation (±S.S.) and coefficient of variation (%V.K.) at 20 μM gallic acid concentration were calculated as 20.83544 ±0.774916 µM and, 3.7% respectively. The biosensor storaged at room conditions maintained 86% of the immobilized enzyme activity at the end of the 10 days. The performance of the developed biosensor was evaluated for the determination of total phenolic compounds in hardaliye and wine samples which are grape fermented beverages obtained by traditional methods. The total amount of phenolic substance measured by the biosensor according to the equivalent amount of gallic acid were compared with the results obtained from the liquid chromatography-mass/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method. In addition, the interference effects of some substances in the content of hardaliye and wine on the biosensor response were investigated. The results of laccase based biosensor correlated that 100.44% and 97.2% for hardaliye and wine, respectively, compared with the results of the analysis using LC-MS/MS.

Sandwich composite structures are widely used in significant applications of many fields such as aerospace, automotive and defense. An increase in the usage of sandwich structures make the researchers focus on investigating the possible various face sheet and core materials which are the main parts of sandwich structures. In recent years, improvements in additive manufacturing methods enabled producing the structures with desired dimensions with less material waste and less production steps. In this study, manufacturing methods of honeycomb cores were examined firstly and then a group of finite element analysis (FEA) were conducted on various composite honeycomb cores with different layer sequences under tension in order to determine their mechanical behaviors. The results exhibited that layer sequence and materials have a great effect on Von-Mises (σvm) and shear stress (τxy) occurring in honeycomb core.

It is known that three-dimensional (3D) printing technology which enables to transform an imagination into 3D real product, has started to take place in many different areas from the space-aviation sector to the health sector and its usage is gradually increasing. With the unstoppable development of technology, the emergence of new materials and manufacturing methods or the necessity of developing existing ones has become an inevitable fact. Four-dimensional (4D) printing technology which also includes 3D printing technology as one of the steps of 4D printing and this 4D printing technology allows the 3D printed products from smart materials to change their shape over time when these 3D printed products are stimulated by external stimulus such as heat, water, light or etc. In this study, 4D printing technology and components have been examined and some useful information has been tried to be presented to our country's researchers and engineers about the development process and potential application areas of this technology., Hayal gücünü üç boyutlu olarak gerçek bir ürüne dönüştürmeye olanak sağlayan üç boyutlu baskı (3D Printing) teknolojisinin uzay-havacılık sektöründen sağlık sektörüne dek birçok farklı alanda yer almaya başladığı ve kullanımının da giderek arttığı bilinmektedir. Teknolojinin durdurulamaz gelişimi ile birlikte yeni malzemelerin ve imalat yöntemlerinin ortaya çıkması ya da var olanların geliştirilmesinin gerekliliği de kaçınılmaz bir gerçek haline gelmiştir. İçerisinde üç boyutlu (3B) baskı teknolojisini de barındıran dört boyutlu (4B) baskı teknolojisi de bu adımlardan yalnızca birisi olarak karşımıza çıkmakta olup, akıllı malzemeden üç boyutlu olarak basılmış ürünlerin, ısı, su, ışık vb. dış uyarıcılarla uyarılması ile bu ürünlerin zamanla şekil değiştirmesine olanak tanımaktadır. Yapılan bu çalışmada ise 4B baskı teknolojisi ve bileşenleri incelenerek, bu teknolojinin gelişim süreci ve potansiyel uygulama alanları hakkında ülkemiz araştırmacılarına ve mühendislerine bir takım faydalı bilgiler sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Recently, coating applications of hard engineering ceramics on metallic alloys have become notably widespread in order to expand the service life of the critical design components working in though conditions like corrosive/oxidative or erosive/abrasive media. Even though scientific efforts on coating processes and their effects on wear and corrosion performance have been studied for years, there is a lack of investigation about mechanical properties, especially thermo-mechanical features of hard ceramic coated metals. In this paper, on the purpose of determination of the thermal stress distribution, effects of coating materials (Al2O3, AlN and TiB2) and coating thickness (400 mu m, 600 mu m, and 800 mu m) on Von-Mises stress, shear stress and resultant displacement for single and full surface coating models designed on Ti-6Al-4V base material are investigated at 373 K, 573 K and 873 K. The results show that modulus of elasticity and thermal expansion coefficient of coating ceramic materials and base metallic material affect the elongation and stress values observed on designed models significantly. Besides, coating thickness and ambient temperature are also effective on thermal properties. Lastly, it can be pointed out that resultant displacement values on a single-surface coating model are higher than full surface coating model. However, Von-Mises and shear stress values calculated with finite element analysis on single surface coating model is lower than the values read for full-surface coating model.

Toolsteel is a widely used material in forming and manufacturing of injection molds/ equipments. Injection and forming dies are subjected to repetitive highpressure and heat during operation, which leads to unexpected formation ofcracks in the die. In case of continuation of continuous and repeated loads,starting crack causes the die lose its function or stopping injection process.In this study, a series of finite element analyzes and optical investigationshave been carried out to determine the cause of the damage of 1.2367 hot worktool steel injection gate brush which has lost its function as a result ofrepetitive mechanical and thermal loading, and the design of the injection gatebrush has been changed to prevent this damage. As a result of new designing ofinjection gate brush, a decrease in stresses of gate brush under working wasobserved. Hereby, the strength of injection gate brush was improved., Takımçeliği şekillendirme ve enjeksiyon kalıplarının/ekipmanlarının imalatındayaygın kullanılan bir malzemedir. Enjeksiyon ve şekillendirme kalıpları,çalışma sırasında tekrarlı yüksek basınç ve ısıya maruz kalmaktadırlar ve buçalışma koşulu kalıplarda beklenmeyen zamanda çatlak oluşumuna sebepolmaktadır. Sürekli ve tekrarlı yüklerin devamında ise başlayan çatlağınilerlemesi sonucu kalıbın işlevini yerine getirememesi ve/veya imalatındurmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, tekrarlı mekanik ve ısıl yüklemeneticesinde çatlayarak fonksiyonunu yitiren 1.2367 sıcak iş takım çeliği enjeksiyonyolluk burcunun, hasarının oluşum nedeni bir dizi sonlu eleman analizi ve optikaraştırma ile belirlenmeye çalışılmış ve oluşan bu çatlak hasarını önlemek içinenjeksiyon yolluk burcu tasarımında değişikliğe gidilmiştir. Sonuç olarak,tasarımda yapılan iyileştirme ile enjeksiyon yolluk burcunda meydana gelengerilmelerde düşüş görülmüş ve mekanik yüklere karşı dayanımında iyileşme eldeedilmiştir.

Cutting with abrasive water jet is an effective method for many engineering materials. Owing to its ability providing close tolerances and dimensional accuracy as well as cutting of extremely hard materials, total using rate of abrasive water jet cutting (AWJC) in the industry rises day by day. In addition to cutting, turning of the many industrial materials can be turned into the practice with abrasive waterjet turning (AWJT) technology. In recent years, AWJC and AWJT become considerably popular cases in the machining of hybrid composite materials which consist of at least two unlike reinforcements and researches about this subject increase rapidly in order to elucidate process details and influences of input parameters. Water pressure, traverse speed, abrasive flow rate, standoff distance and abrasive particle mesh size are the most prominent parameters of the process. In this paper, abrasive waterjet cutting/turning applicability of hybrid composites was reviewed and an initiative was done to rake together the newest surveys published in the technical literature. Our purpose is to achieve detailed overview for AWJC/AWJT of hybrid composites and to emphasize feasibility of the AWJC/AWJT for them and to discuss future real application possibilities of the method

Powdermetallurgy (P/M) is known as an industrial part manufacturing by powderpressing and sintering using ceramic and metal based particulars, but, P/Mmethod has incorperated the additive manufacturing as a new method which iscombined in technologies of laser, machine, design and software. Themanufacturing of prototype and/or useful industrial parts has become possibleas layer upon layer with today’s additive manufacturing technology by usingsuitable laser, electron and ultraviolet beam in form of powder, wire, sheetand melt from polymer, ceramic and metal based materials. The literature surveyhas been done about the powder bed/feed additive manufacturing methods, thepowder characterizations used in these methods and powder manufacturing methodsin this study. In addition, the effect of dimension, shape, physicalproperties, and chemical purity of powders on the product propertiesmanufactured by powder bed/feed additive manufacturing can be expressed withrespect of investigations in the literature., Toz metalürjisi(TM); seramik ve metal esaslı partiküllerin preslenmesi ve sinterlenmesi ileendüstriyel parça imalatı olarak bilinmekte ancak; lazer, makine, tasarım veyazılım teknolojilerinin bir araya getirildiği eklemeli imalat yöntemi olarakadlandırılan yeni bir teknoloji ile tanışmıştır. Günümüz eklemeli imalatteknolojisi ile, polimer, seramik ve metal esaslı malzemelerin partikül (toz),tel, plaka/saç ve eriyik formları uygun şartlarda lazer, elektron veultraviyole ışınları kullanılarak katmanlı bir şekilde kullanışlı prototipve/veya parça imalatı mümkün hale gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, özellikle tozbeslemeli eklemeli imalat yöntemleri, bu yöntemlerde kullanılan partiküllerinkarakterleri ve toz imalat yöntemleri ile ilgili literatür araştırmasıyapılmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan bu literatür araştırmasında, partikül taneboyutunun, şeklinin, fiziksel özelliklerinin ve kimyasal saflığının, tozbeslemeli eklemeli imalat ile elde edilen ürünlerin özelliklerine etkisi ifadeedilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Today’s manufacturing sector has introduced to a manufacturing method depending on developments inmaterials, engineering software and laser technologies which are combined to manufacture as a usefulengineering part of 3-D digital design by layer upon layer from polymer, metal, ceramic materials. This methodhas entered into the literature as "Additive Manufacturing" and today it has been used in mainly medical,automotive, space-airplane, computer and home appliances sectors and also prototypes of parts with specific andcomplex geometries and / or make it possible to produce a useful engineering part. In this study, the studiesconducted in the area of modern manufacturing science were evaluated and the point reached in 3-B additivemanufacturing, additive manufacturing methods and application areas were investigated and it was tried to giveinformation that could be projected to our manufacturing sectors., Günümüz imalat sektörü, malzeme, mühendislik yazılım ve lazer teknolojisindeki gelişmelere bağlı olarak farklıteknolojilerin bir araya getirildiği üç boyutlu (3-B) katı model esaslı bir dijital tasarım ile polimer, metal veseramik esaslı malzemelerden katman katman eklemeli bir şekilde kullanışlı mühendislik parçasının imaledilebildiği bir yöntemle tanışmıştır. Bu yöntem, “eklemeli imalat” olarak literatüre girmiş ve günümüzde baştamedikal olmak üzere otomotiv, uzay-uçak, bilgisayar ve ev aletleri sektörlerinde de özellikli ve karmaşıkgeometriye sahip parçaların prototipinin ve/veya kullanışlı mühendislik parçasının imalatı mümkün halegelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, modern imalat bilimi alanında yapılan çalışmalar değerlendirilerek, 3-B eklemeliimalatta gelinen nokta, eklemeli imalat yöntemleri ve uygulama alanları araştırılmış ve bu alanda ülkemiz imalatsektörüne faydalı olabilecek bilgiler verilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Bu çalışmada ticari saflıktaki bir DP600 çift fazlı çelik sacın haddeleme yönüne göre 0-45-90 derece açılarda hazırlanan çekme deneyi numuneleri ile çekme testleri yapılmış, elde edilen mühendislik ve gerçek gerilme-genleme eğrilerinin yardımıyla şekil değiştirme davranışı belirlenmiştir. Malzemenin iç yapısı ve faz morfolijisinin tayinini yapabilmek için DP600 çelik sac üzerinden alınan örnek bir numune zımparalama ve parlatma işlemlerinin daha rahat bir şekilde yapılabilmesi amacıyla bakalit kalıba alınmıştır. Zımparalama, parlatma ve uygun dağlayıcı ile dağlama işlemi yeterli düzeyde yapıldıktan sonra optik ve SEM mikroskobu vasıtasıyla incelemesi yapılmıştır. DP600 malzemesinin içyapısına dair en iyi görüntü %4 Nital ve %10'luk Sodyummetabisülfit dağlayıcıları kullanıldıktan sonra SEM mikroskobunda 5000 büyütme sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bu görüntü Autocad çizim ve tasarım programına aktarılarak malzemenin sahip olduğu iki ana faz, yani adacıklar şeklinde gözüken martenzit fazı ile sürekli olan ferrit fazı sınırları, objeler şeklinde 2 boyutlu olarak çizilmiştir. Aktarılan görüntü üzerinde martenzit ve ferrit fazının toplam alan oranı ve martenzit adacıklarının toplam alanın, fazların toplam alanına oranı belirlenmiştir. DP600 çeliğinin mikroyapısı ile makro boyuttaki şekil değiştirme davranışı arasındaki ilişkiyi açığa çıkarmak amacıyla sonlu elemanlar analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Oluşturulan iki boyutlu üç farklı katı model kullanılarak yapılan sonlu elemanlar analizleri ile fazlar arası yük paylaşımının şekil değiştirme süresince nasıl değiştiği incelenerek malzemenin mekanik performansına ve içyapısındaki fazlarının davranışlarına ait belirlenmesi oldukça güç olan bir çok ayrıntı irdelenmiştir. In this thesis, DP600 (Dual Phase) steel sheet which has commercial purity was used to obtain tensile testing samples in 0-45-90 degree according to rolling direction.Via using these tensile testing samples, tensile testing was done by tensile speed of 2 mm/min in the Istanbul Technical University Mechanical Testing Laboratory. Moreover, engineering and true stress-strain curves were specified for DP600 steel by using tensile testing results.Thus, the first step to determine the mechanical properties of the DP600 steel that we have has been completed. After that, DP600 steel sample was taken out and grinding, polishing and etching operations were applied respectively to determine the microstructure and phase morphology of DP600 steel. The best microstructure image has been obtained in SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) at 5000 enlargement level by using % 4 Nital and %10 Sodium metabisulfite etchants during 30 seconds.The best microstructure image of DP600 has been imported to Autocad 2012 drawing and design programme to draw the grain boundaries of martensite that looks like islands and have bright colour and ferrite that have dark colour if we compare with martensite phase in terms of detecting the percent areas of the both phases in DP600 steel. Besides, the drawn 2d objects in Autocad which represent the martensite and ferrite phases in related steel were used to create the model for the finite element method analysis. In order to reveal the relationship between deformation behavior in macro dimension and microstructure, 3 different finite element analysis were performed.At the first one, the model was encastre supported from the one node at left side of the model and displacement of the other nodes along this edge were allowed in only y and z direction. Besides, 500 MPa pressure was applied to right side of the model in positive x direction.In the second model, it is encastre supported from the one node at down side of the model and displacement of the other nodes along this edge were allowed in only x and z direction. Beside, 500 MPa pressure was applied to up side of the model in positive y direction.In the third model, the model was same with first and second model without boundary conditions. The same model was embedded into a new model which has 5 times bigger than the initial model and from the one node at down side of the model was encastre supported and other nodes along this edge were allowed in only x and z direction. Besides, 450 MPa pressure was applied to up side of the model in positive y direction.All the models which have been analyzed were constrained by their nodes along the edges without the edge that has some boundary conditions like encastre or etc. Details of the models can be seen in the fourt part in the thesis. Furthermore, material data of the phases (ferrite and martensite) is obtained from 3.1 and 3.2 equation. For all materials, the value of modulus of elasticity is 210 000 MPa, the value of poisson ratio is 0.3 are applied in Abaqus programme.In conclusion, three different 2d models have been analyzed in Abaqus finite element analysis programme to specify and have the answer of how the load and stress get shared between phases during the analysis. Thus, many details about the microstructure of DP600 steel and mechanical performance of the material have been examined. 70
