Internet and mobile technologies are drivers for innovation and growth. In this context, the International Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Electronic and Mobile Business (IWEMB) is a joint initiative of the Center of Advanced E-Business Studies (CAEBUS) at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany, and the International College of the National Institute of Development and Administration (ICO NIDA) in Bangkok, Thailand. Relevant topics of the IWEMB workshop within the electronic and mobile business are studies on business model innovations, customer and user behavior, new concepts for entrepreneurship and leadership, user-centered design and lean startup methods, as well as the impact on existing market structures. Within this scope, the aim of IWEMB is to offer a platform for researchers in this emerging research field in order to generate relevant new insights and international exchange of ideas. The first workshop was held in Bangkok, Thailand, as a two-days event in November 2017. This book presents the latest research on national brand and private label marketing - a collection of original, rigorous and highly relevant contributions of the 2017 International Conference on National Brand & Private Label Marketing in Barcelona. It covers a wide range of topics from fields as varied as retailing, marketing, general business, psychology, economics and statistics. Worldwide, postal operators have been slow to address the threats from and opportunities created by electronic competition. The European Commission and member states are wrestling with these issues, while at the same time continuing to deal with the interrelated issues of implementing entry into postal markets and maintaining the universal service obligation. The Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 in the U.S. exacerbated financial and managerial problems faced by USPS that result in part from electronic substitution for letter delivery. A major aim of this book is to examine policies to address postal operations in a digital world and ways in which postal operators might reinvent themselves to respond to threats and exploit opportunities. Potential opportunities examined include parcels, e-commerce, digital delivery, regulatory innovations and pricing. New market trends and the emergence of the so-called Internet-based `new economy'are leading companies to new forms of organization, mostly relying on privileged cooperation links. Nowadays, most manufacturing processes are not carried out by single enterprises. Rather, organizations feel the need to focus on their core competencies and join efforts with others, in order to fulfill the requirements of new products/services demanded by the global market. In a cooperative networked organization, every enterprise is just a node that adds some value to the process; namely, a step in the manufacturing/supply chain. Furthermore, manufacturing companies increasingly encompass what has typically been regarded as the domain of the service sector. They try to establish long-term relationships with their customers, in order to service their needs around a manufactured product. For these reasons, the area of virtual organizations and industrial virtual enterprises is attracting growing interest in terms of research and development, and implementation approaches for new business practices. The main emphasis of this book is on virtual enterprises and other networked organizations, with special focus on: supporting infrastructures and management of distributed business processes, intelligent multi-agent systems, knowledge management, human interfaces, and socio-economical aspects. Also included in the book are related topics on automation, both in manufacturing and transportation. The international initiative on Enterprise Inter- and Intra-Organisational Integration (EI3-IC) had the objective to increase both international consen­ sus (IC) and public awareness on enterprise integration. In these proceedings we intend to present the current status in inter- and intra-organisational inte­ gration for electronic commerce and thereby to further increase awareness and consensus within academia and industry about enterprise inter-and intra­ organisational integration. The conference proceedings contain the papers presented at the ICEIMT conference in Valencia, Spain, selected papers presented at the different workshops and three papers on the initiative itself: overview, history and results. The proceedings follow the conference structure with each section (Parts 2 to 5) starting with the workgroup reports, followed by a particular view on the section theme and additional papers either presented at the con­ ference or during the related workshop. As stated in the paper by Nell and Goranson in section 1 the results from all workshops indicate the important role of business processes in the area of e-commerce and virtual enterprises. Sharing relevant knowledge between co­ operating partners and making it available for decision support at all levels of management and across organisational boundaries will significantly en­ hance the trust between the partners on the different levels of partner opera­ tions (strategy, policy, operation and transaction). Clearly business process modelling can significantly enhance establishment, operation and decom­ mission of the required collaboration.

The 118 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 409 submissions. On September 17 and 18, 1998, a conference took place at Mont Tremblant on the theme'Doing Business in a Knowledge-Based Economy.'This conference brought together some hundred participants from government, business and academia, with backgrounds in business administration, engineering, public administration and economics, to provide a multidisciplinary analysis of what has come to be known as the'Knowledge-Based Economy'(KBE). The aim was to come up with suggestions and recommendations about how to do business in a knowledge­ based economy, both at the firm level and at the government level. All presenters were explicitly asked to conclude with policy recommendations. The conference was sponsored by Industry Canada and organized by the Centre of Interuniversity Research on the Analysis of Organizations (CIRANO). The conference papers offered U.S., Canadian and European perspectives on the management of a knowledge-based economy. This volume is divided into three parts. The papers in part I set the stage by describing the salient features of the KBE. What is so special about it? What are its economic underpinnings? What are its technological characteristics? Knowledge plays a crucial role in a KBE, hence its name. Whereas, in the past, growth was determined primarily by the availability of land, natural resources, labour and capital successively, at the end of the twentieth century, knowledge has become a (if not the) major factor of economic growth.

The 39 revised papers presented together with 2 introductory descriptions address topics such as software engineering services; the management of service level agreements; Web services and service composition; general or domain-specific challenges of service-oriented computing and its transition towards cloud computing; architecture and modeling of services; workflow management; performance analysis as well as crowdsourcing for improving service processes and for knowledge discovery.

The digitisation of traditional media formats, such as text, images, video, and sound provides us with the ability to store, process, and transport content in a uniform way. This has led the formerly distinct industries of media, telecommunications, and information technology to converge. Cross-media publishing and service delivery are important new trends emerging in the content industry landscape. Mass-media organizations and content providers traditionally targeted content production towards a single delivery channel. However, recent economic and technological changes in the industry led content providers to extend their brands to cover multiple delivery channels. Following the content industry trend to'create once and publish everywhere'-COPE, a number of architectures, technologies, and tools are currently being developed and deployed to facilitate the automatic conversion of content to multiple formats, and the creation of innovative multi-platform services. This new approach enables the seamless access to information over different network infrastructures and client platforms. This work aims to bring together a cross-disciplinary core of contributors to address the technical and business issues of cross-media publishing and service delivery. The volume is based on papers presented at the conference on Cross-Media Service Delivery-CMSD-2003 that took place in Santorini, Greece in May 2003. Each contribution was reviewed by at least two reviewers-typically three. From the 30 papers that were submitted 20 were selected for presentation at the conference. Those were further'shepherded'by programme committee members to be improved according to the review suggestions.

Russel Cooper and Gary Madden The present volume analyses the frontiers of broadband, electronic and mobile commerce markets. High-capacity and intelligent mobile telecommunication net­ works have resulted in new services, such as SMS and Internet banking. Growth in mobile Internet network infrastructure and subscription has provided a base for the development of e-commerce. Accordingly, recent research on broadband net­ works is forward-looking, e. g., forecasting Internet telephony adoption and the structure of future retail markets. The broadband regime brings with it concerns of identifying appropriate standards and delivery for universal service. Regulation and pricing are matters of importance as well as appropriate investment decisions within a market of ongoing innovation. The volume is divided in five parts: e-commerce business models; network technology and productivity; demand and pricing; market growth, regulation and investment; and issues related to the development imperative. The structure of the volume is guided by the basic themes considered at the International Telecommu­ nications Society's Asia-Australasian Regional Conference'Mcbusiness, E­ commerce and the Impact of Broadband on regional Development and Business Prospects', which took place in Perth Western Australia on 22-24 June 2003. The volume contains a selection of papers presented at this conference as well as four additional invited papers, commissioned to augment the volume. The invited pa­ pers are authored by Jerry Hausman (Chapter 1), Jeffery Bernstein and Charles Zarkadas (Chapter 6), M. Ishaq Nadiri and Banani Nandi (Chapter 8) and Glenn Woroch (Chapter 13).

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Electronic Commerce and Web Technologies (EC-Web) held in Toulouse, France, in August/September 2011. The 25 papers accepted for EC-Web, selected from 60 submissions, are organized into eight topical sections on semantic services, business processes and services, context-aware recommender systems, intelligent agents and e-negotiation systems, collaborative filtering and preference learning, social recommender systems, agent interaction and trust management, and innovative strategies for preference elicitation and profiling.

The two-volume set CCIS 143 and CCIS 144 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the International Conference on Electronic Commerce, Web Application, and Communication, ECWAC 2011, held in Guangzhou, China, in April 2011. The 148 revised full papers presented in both volumes were carefully reviewed and selected from a large number of submissions. Providing a forum for engineers, scientists, researchers in electronic commerce, Web application, and communication fields, the conference will put special focus also on aspects such as e-business, e-learning, and e-security, intelligent information applications, database and system security, image and video signal processing, pattern recognition, information science, industrial automation, process control, user/machine systems, security, integrity, and protection, as well as mobile and multimedia communications.

The design and analysis of electronic commerce systems in which agents are - ployed involves finding solutions to a large and diverse array of problems, concerning individual agent behaviors, interaction, and collective behavior. A wide variety of electronic commerce scenarios and systems, including agent approaches to these, have been studied in recent years. These studies suggest models that support the - sign and the analysis at both the level of the single agent and the level of the multiagent system. th This volume contains revised, selected papers from the 10 Workshop on Agent- Mediated Electronic Commerce (AMEC-X), co-located with the 7th International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS 2008), th and from the 6 Workshop on Trading Agent Design and Analysis (TADA), - located with the 23rd AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI 2008). The primary, and complementary, goal of both workshops was to continue to bring - gether novel work from diverse fields that focus on modeling, implementation, and evaluation of computational trading institutions and/or agent strategies.

The International Conference on E-business Technology & Strategy (CETS) provides a peer-reviewed forum for researchers from across the globe to share contemporary research on developments in the fields of e-business, information technology and business strategy. It seeks to promote effective and vibrant networking among researchers and practitioners from around the world who are concerned about the effective management of information technology in organizations. This network of researchers views fostering the development of emerging scholars in the information technology and e-business fields as its primary task. Consequently the conference is designed to provide a venue for researchers to get substantive and beneficial feedback on their work. There were 134 contributions submitted to CETS 2010. After in-depth discussions, 29 high-quality contributions were selected for publication in this volume. The authors are from Canada, USA, China, Japan, India and Malaysia. We thank all the authors who submitted papers, the Program Committee members, and the external reviewers. We also thank all the local people who were instrumental in making this edition of CETS another very successful event. In particular, we are very grateful to Ying Xie, who was responsible for the local arrangements. Special gratitude goes to the publishing editor, Leonie Kunz, who managed the complexity of information and communication aspects. Furthermore, we thank the many students who volunteered on the organization team, as well as the IT services of Carleton University.

After the lesson learned during last years and following the successful edition of EC-Web 2009, for its 11th edition EC-Web tried to provide a clearer description of the electronic commerce universe focusing on some relevant topics. The main focus was not only on Internet-related techniques and approaches. The aim of EC-Web 2010 was to also cover aspects related to theoretical foundations of e-commerce, business processes as well as new approaches exploiting recently emerged technologies and scenarios such as the Semantic Web, Web services, SOA architectures, mobile and ubiquitous computing, just to cite a few. Due to their central role in any realistic e-commerce infrastructure, security and privacy issues were widely considered, without excluding legal and regulatory aspects. The choice of the above relevant topics directly reflects the fact that electronic commerce (EC), in the last few years, has changed and evolved into a well-established and founded reality both from a technological point of view and from a scientific one. Nevertheless, together with its evolution, new challenges and topics have emerged as well as new questions have been raised related to many aspects of EC. Keeping in mind the experience of the last edition of EC-Web, we maintained, for its 11th edition, the structure and the scientific organization of EC-Web 2009, aiming to highlight the autonomous role of the different (sometimes heterogeneous) aspects of EC, without missing their interdisciplinary scope.

With high hopes that the worst of the financial crisis is now behind us, our efforts looking forward must be more vigilant. Change is constant in the electronic business management landscape and we must continue to look for organizational efficiencies, competitive strength, strategic differentiation and value creation in both int- organizational and collaborative settings. Seeking new and innovative application areas of information technology, in general, and e-business management solutions, in particular, while simultaneously critically evaluating and constantly challenging our own research contributions, methods and practices. It is for these reasons (and many more) that we are particularly excited about and grateful for the collection of papers included in this volume, LNBIP 58, on Sustainable e-Business Management. The papers selected in this volume address these emerging e-business issues and have been organized into three research lines: e-Business Models and IS in Financial Markets, e-Commerce Use and Design, and e-Business Research Issues and Methods. We are delighted to kick off the first group of papers e-Business Models and IS in Financial Markets with a study by Masao Kakihara of Yahoo Research in Japan, proposing a dynamic revenue model framework and design. This section also includes a fresh look into two pressing e-business areas with Doerr, Benlian, Vetter and Hess's examination of content provider pricing of music as a service and Dutta and Menon's interesting study of the determinants of customer acquisition and e-tailer revenue.

This volume contains the proceedings of the First International ICST Conference on Digital Business (DigiBiz 2009), hosted by City University London in London, UK. This annual event had the main objective to stimulate and disseminate research results and experimentation on future Digital Business to a wider multidisciplinary forum that would allow the participants to cross the boundaries between research and business. The scientific offering in e-business, e-commerce, and ICT in general is quite broad and spans many different research themes, involving several communities and me- odologies. The growth and dynamic nature of these research themes pose both ch- lenges and opportunities. The challenges are in having scientists and practitioners talk to each other: despite the fact that they work on similar problems they often use very different languages in terms of research tools and approaches. The opportunities on the other hand arise when scientists and practitioners engage in multidisciplinary d- cussions leading to new ideas, projects and products.
