Abstract

Research into the persistent photoconductivity effect in trilayered films consisting of perovskite manganites La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/(La0.3Nd0.7)2.3Ca1/3MnO3La2/3Ca1/3MnO3(LNL) is presented. It is suggested that the trilayered film LNL is of the nature of the cluster-glass state at low temperatures below 85 K.

Abstract

It has been possible to extend the sol-gel technique to make a series of polycrystalline materials A2FeMoO6 (A=Sr, Ca, Ba) with nanometer-scale grain size. It is established that the nanometer-scale grain samples have different magnetic properties from the large grain samples with micrometer scale. This can be explained in terms of size effect.

Abstract

Research into the impact of Li doping on the charge ordering state of perovskite-type manganates La0.5Ca(sub 0.5-x)Li(sub x)MnO3 with x = 0, 0,05, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2 is presented. It was found that Li doping can destroy the charge ordering state and induce the ferromagnetic metallic state.
