The main purpose of this Room Temperature Controller is to control the temperature of the room or any closed spaces whose temperature keeps fluctuating and thus requires a constant watch on the temperature of the room. The use of this system eliminates constant watching on the device by self controlling the temperature of the system. Our proposed project consists of digital temperature sensors for more accurate temperature control in various industries. Our system overcomes the disadvantages of thermostat/analog systems in terms of accuracy. This system can be used in any firm or organization where it is very important to maintain precise temperatures. LCD display is used to display the temperature and when the temperature exceeds the set limit, the lamp is switched off in order to control the temperature. The heater is demonstrated with the help of a lamp. After the heater is switched off, the AC(cooling device) is switched ON. Here AC is demonstrated with the help of small fan. After the AC is switched ON, it remains ON until the temperature reaches below the exceed limit. Thus the system keeps on switching ON/OFF the heater or the AC for automatically controlling the temperature of the system. The system uses a digital temperature sensor in order to detect temperature and pass on the data to the microcontroller. The 8051 microcontroller processes data and sends the temperature to be displayed on LCD screen. The display consists of 7 segment display unit to display up to 4 numbers.]

This paper gives the brief design of the hardware model & its development of a fire alarm circuit in crowded places is presented in brief. Fire Alarm Circuit is a simple circuit that detects the fire and activates the Siren Sound or Buzzer. Fire Alarm Circuits are very important devices to detect fire in the right time and prevent any damage to people or property. Fire Alarm Circuits and Smoke Sensors are a part of the security systems which help in detecting or preventing damage. Installing Fire Alarm Systems and Smoke Sensors in commercial buildings like offices, movie theatres, shopping malls and other public places is compulsory. There are many expensive and sophisticated Fire Alarm Circuit in the form of stand-alone devices, but we have designed five very simple Fire Alarm Circuits using common components like Thermistor, LM358, Germanium Diode, LM341 and NE555.This is a very simple alarm circuit using Thermistor, LM358 Operational Amplifier and a Buzzer. The primary purpose of fire alarm system is to provide an early warning of fire so that people can be. evacuated & immediate action can be taken to stop or eliminate of the fire effect as soon as possible Alarm can be triggered by using detectors or by manual call point (Remotely). For individuals, accurate and full educational records are a valuable asset. Educational documents have been digitised in recent years. Two top concerns have been reported in the previously proposed systems and those issues have not been overcome. One is to achieve reliable and privacy-preserving storage of educational records, while the other issue is about understanding how the sharing of educational records and gurantees the process of sharing. Here, we propose a scheme for educational records based on blockchain storage and sharing, which incorporates blockchain, storage database and cryptography techniques to ensure a reliable and protected setting. This emerging technique is used in our proposal to make sure the security and reliability. The off-chain database stores the original educational records in encrypted form more specifically, while the records' hash information is stored on the blockchain. To ensure the protection of data storage, the off-chain records are regularly anchored with the hash data on the blockchain. Cryptography approaches are common to manage the encryption of documents and digital signature of messages.

The purpose of this article is to protect the patients and dental staff from infection so that we can keep the healthcare system running effectively. In order to address the COVID-19 challenge, changes in the infrastructure of outpatient, inpatient units and operating rooms are necessary. Thus this article describes about the new advancements like continuous negative pressure field barrier to provide an additional layer of protection during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. Paediatric pain management has remained understated practice over a period of time. Recently ultrasound-guided (USG) guided techniques are gaining popularity for perioperative analgesia, especially in the paediatric population. So, the aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy of reduced dose ropivacaine-dexmedetomidine combination compared to standard 0.375% ropivacaine in USG guided transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block.Sixty children of either sex, aged 2-10 years, posted for elective open herniotomy under general anaesthesia were randomly divided into two groups of 30 patients each. Group RD received 0.2% ropivacaine with dexmedetomidine 1 mg kg 1 while group R received 0.375% ropivacaine at 0.5mL kg 1. Meantime to first rescue and total analgesics, Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Pain Scale (CHEOPS) and Ramsay sedation score, haemodynamic parameters and adverse effects were noted.Time to first rescue analgesia in group RD and group R were 16.32 6 3.11 hours and 10.82 6 2.16 hours, respectively (P.0001). Mean CHEOPS score were 4.48 6 1.1 and 6.3 6 1.74 (P.024) in group RD and R. Post-op Ramsay sedation score was significantly greater in group RD. Heart rate and blood pressure remained similar in either of the group. No episode of respiratory depression, bradycardia or hypotension was noted perioperatively.Combination of 1 mg kg 1 dexmedetomidine with reduced concentration of ropivacaine (0.2%) produced significantly longer duration of post-operative analgesia and lowered post-operative CHEOPS pain score in comparison with 0.375% ropivacaine alone in USG guided TAP block for paediatric hernia repair.

Poster session 2, September 22, 2022, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Introduction Cryptococcal infections are commonly seen in immunocompromised hosts, especially HIV-infected patients and patients on immunosuppressive therapy. Cryptococcus shows a strong tropism for the central nervous system however cutaneous tropism is not uncommon. Here we describe an HIV-negative immunocompromised patient who developed disseminated cryptococcosis with the predominant presentation being painful thigh lesions. Case Details A 56-year-old lady presented with skin lesions and burning pain over both thighs for 1 month and a high-grade fever for 15 days. Her thigh lesions were initially treated elsewhere as tinea corporis. Her previous medical history was significant for poorly controlled diabetes, and chronic liver disease (secondary to autoimmune hepatitis or AIH). Her ongoing medications included prednisolone, anti-diabetics, and tenofovir. At presentation, the only significant physical findings were large irregular areas of central hypo-pigmentation with peripheral hyper-pigmentation and superficial small blisters over both thighs. These areas showed signs of inflammation. The empiric antimicrobial therapy included piperacillin-tazobactam and fluconazole (in view of prior urine culture growing Candida species). Over the next 48 h, fever continued, thigh pain worsened and the lesions on thighs blistered with violaceous discoloration. Her blood cultures sent at admission grew Candida kruzei, resistant to fluconazole, sensitive to voriconazole, amphotericin and echinocandins. Beta-D Glucan was also elevated. Fluconazole was discontinued, and anidulafungin was initiated. A repeat culture (prior to the start of anidulafungin) was still positive for C. krusei, but a subsequent blood culture (after the start of anidulafungin) was negative. Echocardiography did not show features of endocarditis. After a transient improvement, she worsened again with breakthrough fever, hypotension, and worsening of thigh lesions with eschar formation. Wound debridement was done, and antibiotics were escalated to carbapenem and polymyxins. Tissue cultures (sent during wound debridement) grew carbapenem-resistant klebsiella pneumonia. With these, the fever and her wounds were better; but the fever still persisted and she described a persisting severe burning pain over both the thigh wounds which did not respond to several analgesics. A few days later, the fever worsened, and she had hypotension and disorientation. Blood and urine cultures were repeated. Repeat Serum beta D glucan levels were elevated. CSF examination was not possible in view of severe coagulopathy. The blood and wound cultures both grew C. neoformans (confirmed on MaldiTOFF). Antibiotics and anidulafungin were discontinued; liposomal amphotericin and flucytosine were started. Patient had significant improvement in sensorium, fever, and thigh pains within the next 72 h. Later, liposomal amphotericin was switched to conventional amphotericin because of financial constraints. This was followed by acute kidney injury and a flare of AIH. Amphotericin and flucytosine were withheld for a few days; a pulse of methylprednisolone was needed for AIH. Following resolution of acute kidney injury and AIH flare, conventional amphotericin B and flucytosine were restarted (and given for cumulative 3 weeks). This was followed by fluconazole consolidation. At hospital discharge, although there were raw areas over the thighs, these were healthy and she was otherwise well. A total of 3 months later, skin grafting was successfully performed. Conclusions Cryptococcus can be a great masquerader, and can mimic a variety of conditions. A high index of suspicion is required to clinch the diagnosis.

It's a Node js-based software application with a MySQL database in the backend along with API to store guest information. This app includes all of the necessary visitor information and exit functions. Users can compile guest reports, see notification lists, and pre-book visits using the program's special capabilities.

Background Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs NSAIDs are the most commonly used drugs for the management of pain and inflammation with good efficacy.Objective To determine the prescribing patterns of NSAIDs to report and document the potential drug-drug interactions and adverse drug reactions associated with its usage.Methodology The present study was a cross-sectional observational and prospective study conducted over 200 patients. The patient details included socio-demographics like age gender chief complaint diagnosis and information on the drugs prescribed which included brand andor generic name dose dosing frequency formulation route of administration and duration of treatment.Results Among the subjects 32 were prescribed paracetamol 9 were prescribed diclofenac and 1 were prescribed aspirin and aceclofenac each. 34.5 were prescribed the combination of aceclofenac paracetamol 62.5 were prescribed two NSAIDs. 117 prescriptions showed no interactions with NSAIDs whereas 62 were found to have interactions among aceclofenac bromelain commonly.Conclusion The common NSAID prescribed was preferential COX-2 inhibitor and a majority of prescriptions were not found with any interactions with NSAIDs. The prescribing pattern in our department was found to be rational.

Rabies, a zoonotic viral encephalitis, continues to be a serious public health problem in India and several other countries in Asia and Africa. Survival is rarely reported in rabies, which is considered to be almost universally fatal. We report the clinical and radiological findings of eight patients with laboratory-confirmed rabies who survived the illness. With the exception of one patient who recovered with mild sequelae, all survivors had poor functional outcomes. The reported survival from rabies in recent years may reflect an increased awareness of the disease and greater access to better critical care facilities in rabies-endemic countries. Nonetheless, there is an urgent need to focus on preventive strategies to reduce the burden of this dreadful disease in rabies-endemic countries.
