1. Resveratrol—Potential Antibacterial Agent against Foodborne Pathogens

Abstract: Bacterial foodborne pathogens are a significant health burden and the recent emergence of pathogenic resistant strains due to the excessive use of antibiotics makes it more difficult to effectively treat infections as a result of contaminated food. Awareness of this impending health crisis has spurred the search for alternative antimicrobials with natural plant antimicrobials being among the more promising candidates as these substances have good acceptability and likely low toxicity levels as they have long been used in traditional medicines. Resveratrol (3,5,4′-trihydroxystilbene) is a naturally occurring stilbenoid which has been gaining considerable attention in medical field due to its diverse biological activities - it has been reported to exhibit antioxidant, cardioprotective, anti-diabetic, anticancer, and antiaging properties. Given that resveratrol is phytoalexin, with increased synthesis in response to infection by phytopathogens, there has been interest in exploring its antimicrobial activity. This review aims to provide an overview of the published data on the antibacterial activity of resveratrol against foodborne pathogens, its mechanisms of action as well as its possible applications in food packing and processing; in addition we also summarize the current data on its potential synergism with known antibacterials and future research and applications.

2. Adaptive preferential selection of female coccinellid hosts by the parasitoid wasp Dinocampus coccinellae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

Abstract: Females of the parasitoid wasp Dinocampus coccinellae are known to parasitise both male and female coccinellid hosts. It is suggested that female hosts provide more resources for developing wasp larvae because they tend to be larger than male hosts, and female coccinellids have a much greater food intake than males. Thus the wasp's lifetime reproductive success should be increased by ovipositing preferentially in female rather than male hosts when given a choice. Laboratory experiments, using Coccinella septempunctata as a host, show that such a preference does exist. Wasps preferentially oviposit in females, and this preference is not simply a result of the larger mean size of females compared to males. These results corroborate higher rates of prevalence in female compared to male hosts reported previously.

3. Quashing a suspected selection bias in galaxy samples having dynamically-measured supermassive black holes

Abstract: Local early-type galaxies with directly-measured black hole masses, $M_{\rm bh}$, have been reported to represent a biased sample relative to the population at large. Such galaxies with Spitzer Space Telescope imaging have been purported to possess velocity dispersions, $\sigma$, at least $\sim$0.1 dex larger for a given galaxy stellar mass, $M_{\rm *,gal}$, than is typically observed among thousands of early-type galaxies imaged by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. This apparent offset led Shankar et al. to reduce the normalisation of the observed $M_{\rm bh} \propto \sigma^5$ relation by at least $\sim$0.5 dex to give their "intrinsic relations", including $\sigma$-based modifications to the $M_{\rm bh}$-$M_{\rm *,gal}$ relation. These modifications were based on the untested assumption that the stellar masses had been derived consistently between the two samples. Here, we provide the necessary check using galaxies common to the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies (S$^4$G) and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We find that the stellar masses of galaxies with and without directly measured black holes had appeared offset from each other due to the use of inconsistent stellar mass-to-light ratios, $\Upsilon_*$, for the optical and infrared data. We briefly discuss the "intrinsic relations" and why some of these will at times appear to have had partial success when applied to data based on similarly inconsistent values of $\Upsilon_*$. 4. The size--mass and other structural parameter ($n, \mu_z, R_z$) relations for local bulges/spheroids from multicomponent decompositions

Abstract: We analyse the bulge/spheroid size-(stellar mass), $R_{\rm e,Sph}-M_{\rm *,Sph}$, relation and spheroid structural parameters for 202 local (predominantly $\lesssim 110~\rm Mpc$) galaxies spanning $ M_*\sim 3\times10^{9}-10^{12}~\rm M_{\odot}$ and $ 0.1 \lesssim R_{\rm e, Sph}\lesssim32~\rm kpc$ from multicomponent decomposition. The correlations between the spheroid S\'ersic index ($n_{\rm Sph}$), central surface brightness ($\mu_{\rm 0, Sph}$), effective half-light radius ($R_{\rm e, Sph}$), absolute magnitude ($\mathfrak{M}_{\rm Sph}$) and stellar mass ($M_{\rm *,Sph}$) are explored. We also investigate the consequences of using different scale radii, $R_{z,\rm Sph}$, encapsulating a different fraction ($z$, from 0 to 1) of the total luminosity. The correlation strengths for projected mass densities, $\Sigma_z$ and $\langle \Sigma \rangle_z$, vary significantly with the choice of $z$. Spheroid size ($R_{\rm z, Sph}$) and mass ($M_{\rm *,Sph}$) are strongly correlated for all light fractions $z$. We find: $\log(R_{\rm e,Sph}/\rm kpc) = 0.88\log(M_{\rm *,Sph}/\rm M_{\odot})-9.15$ with a small scatter of $\Delta_{rms} = 0.24~\rm dex$. This result is discussed relative to the \textit{curved} size-mass relation for early-type galaxies due to their discs yielding larger galaxy radii at lower masses. Moreover, the slope of our spheroid size-mass relation is a factor of $\sim3$, steeper than reported bulge size-mass relations, and with bulge sizes at $M_{\rm *,sph}\sim 3\times10^9~M_\odot$ which are 2 to 3 times smaller. Finally, we show that the local spheroids align well with quiescent galaxies at $z\sim1.25$--$2.25$. 5. Disc cloaking: Establishing a lower limit to the number density of local compact massive spheroids/bulges and the potential fate of some high-z red nuggets

Abstract: The near-absence of compact massive quiescent galaxies in the local Universe implies a size evolution since $z\sim2.5$. It is often theorised that such `red nuggets' have evolved into today's elliptical (E) galaxies via an E-to-E transformation. We examine an alternative scenario in which a red nugget develops a rotational disc through mergers and accretion, say, at $1\lesssim z\lesssim2$, thereby cloaking the nugget as the extant bulge/spheroid component of a larger, now old, galaxy. We have performed detailed, physically-motivated, multi-component decompositions of a volume-limited sample of 103 massive ($M_*/\rm M_{\odot} \gtrsim 1\times 10^{11}$) galaxies within 110\,Mpc. Among our 28 galaxies with existing elliptical classifications, we found that 18 have large-scale discs, and two have intermediate-scale discs, and are reclassified here as lenticulars (S0) and elliculars (ES). The local spheroid stellar mass function, size-mass diagram and bulge-to-total ($B/T$) flux ratio are presented. We report lower-limits for the volume number density of compact massive spheroids, $n_\mathrm{c,Sph}\sim (0.17$-$1.2) \times 10^{-4}\,\rm Mpc^{-3}$, based on different definitions of `red nuggets' in the literature. Similar number densities of local compact massive bulges were reported by de la Rosa et al. using automated two-component decompositions and their existence is now abundantly clear with our multi-component decompositions. We find disc-cloaking to be a salient alternative for galaxy evolution. 6. Chinese Language Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence; Innovation Development, Pedagogy & the Smart Classroom

Abstract: This research work has a particular emphasis that deals with innovation and development of international Chinese language teaching and learning within the classroom in the new era, especially with an emphasis on AI (artificial intelligence) as well as an emphasis on the creation of smart classrooms. This paper focuses on utilizing creative pedagogy methodologies in international Chinese language classrooms especially in smart classrooms. With the use of various qualitative approaches including the utilization of media, interpreting advertisements movies, newspapers, and the utilizing of techniques such as sand blots that may be engaging in the classroom with an objective of developing pupils' second language absorbing ability. Furthermore this research paper highlights the various teaching methodologies that should be adapted and expanded upon in the classroom fittingly by understanding the absorbing capacity of pupils and their learning interest in the theatre of pedagogy.

Abstract: Background: No evidence currently exists characterising global outcomes following major cancer surgery, including esophageal cancer. Therefore, this study aimed to characterise impact of high income countries (HIC) versus low and middle income countries (LMIC) on the outcomes following esophagectomy for esophageal cancer.Method: This international multi-center prospective study across 137 hospitals in 41 countries included patients who underwent an esophagectomy for esophageal cancer, with 90-day follow-up. The main explanatory variable was country income, defined according to the World Bank Data classification. The primary outcome was 90-day postoperative mortality, and secondary outcomes were composite leaks (anastomotic leak or conduit necrosis) and major complications (Clavien-Dindo Grade III - V). Multivariable generalized estimating equation models were used to produce adjusted odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CI95%).Results: Between April 2018 to December 2018, 2247 patients were included. Patients from HIC were more significantly older, with higher ASA grade, and more advanced tumors. Patients from LMIC had almost three-fold increase in 90-day mortality, compared to HIC (9.4% vs 3.7%, p < 0.001). On adjusted analysis, LMIC were independently associated with higher 90-day mortality (OR: 2.31, CI95%: 1.17-4.55, p = 0.015). However, LMIC were not independently associated with higher rates of anastomotic leaks (OR: 1.06, CI95%: 0.57-1.99, p = 0.9) or major complications (OR: 0.85, CI95%: 0.54-1.32, p = 0.5), compared to HIC.Conclusion: Resections in LMIC were independently associated with higher 90-day postoperative mortality, likely reflecting a failure to rescue of these patients following esophagectomy, despite similar composite anastomotic leaks and major complication rates to HIC. These findings warrant further research, to identify potential issues and solutions to improve global outcomes following esophagectomy for cancer.

16. Quashing a suspected selection bias in galaxy samples having dynamically-measured supermassive black holes

Abstract: Local early-type galaxies with directly-measured black hole masses, $M_{\rm bh}$, have been reported to represent a biased sample relative to the population at large. Such galaxies with Spitzer Space Telescope imaging have been purported to possess velocity dispersions, $\sigma$, at least $\sim$0.1 dex larger for a given galaxy stellar mass, $M_{\rm *,gal}$, than is typically observed among thousands of early-type galaxies imaged by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. This apparent offset led Shankar et al. to reduce the normalisation of the observed $M_{\rm bh} \propto \sigma^5$ relation by at least $\sim$0.5 dex to give their "intrinsic relations", including $\sigma$-based modifications to the $M_{\rm bh}$-$M_{\rm *,gal}$ relation. These modifications were based on the untested assumption that the stellar masses had been derived consistently between the two samples. Here, we provide the necessary check using galaxies common to the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies (S$^4$G) and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We find that the stellar masses of galaxies with and without directly measured black holes had appeared offset from each other due to the use of inconsistent stellar mass-to-light ratios, $\Upsilon_*$, for the optical and infrared data. We briefly discuss the "intrinsic relations" and why some of these will at times appear to have had partial success when applied to data based on similarly inconsistent values of $\Upsilon_*$. Abstract: Background The complexity of oesophageal surgery and the significant risk of morbidity necessitates that oesophagectomy is predominantly performed by a consultant surgeon, or a senior trainee under their supervision. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of trainee involvement in oesophagectomy on postoperative outcomes in an international multicentre setting. Methods Data from the multicentre Oesophago-Gastric Anastomosis Study Group (OGAA) cohort study were analysed, which comprised prospectively collected data from patients undergoing oesophagectomy for oesophageal cancer between April 2018 and December 2018. Procedures were grouped by the level of trainee involvement, and univariable and multivariable analyses were performed to compare patient outcomes across groups. Results Of 2232 oesophagectomies from 137 centres in 41 countries, trainees were involved in 29.1 per cent of them (n = 650), performing only the abdominal phase in 230, only the chest and/or neck phases in 130, and all phases in 315 procedures. For procedures with a chest anastomosis, those with trainee involvement had similar 90-day mortality, complication and reoperation rates to consultant-performed oesophagectomies (P = 0.451, P = 0.318, and P = 0.382, respectively), while anastomotic leak rates were significantly lower in the trainee groups (P = 0.030). Procedures with a neck anastomosis had equivalent complication, anastomotic leak, and reoperation rates (P = 0.150, P = 0.430, and P = 0.632, respectively) in trainee-involved versus consultant-performed oesophagectomies, with significantly lower 90-day mortality in the trainee groups (P = 0.005). The results support continued supervised trainee involvement in oesophageal cancer surgery., The aim of this study was to determine the impact of trainee involvement in oesophagectomy on perioperative outcomes in the international multicentre Oesophago-Gastric Anastomosis Audit (OGAA). Analysis of 2232 oesophagectomies has shown that trainee involvement did not negatively impact perioperative outcomes.

20. What Added Value Does a 1:1 Student to Laptop Ratio Bring to Technology-Supported Teaching and Learning?

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to document typical use and configuration of 1:1 computing in two schools focusing on the added value and unique challenges these uses present. A qualitative case study design was used in two middle schools (sixth, seventh and eighth grade) in the south-eastern United States purposefully selected for their 1:1 computing programmes. Data were collected through formal and informal interviews, direct observations and site documents. Results indicated that online research, productivity tools, drill and practice, and eCommunications were the most frequent uses of computers in the 1:1 classroom. Moreover, the 1:1 classroom provided potentially transformative added value to these uses while simultaneously presenting unique management challenges to the teacher. In addition, the presence of 1:1 laptops did not automatically add value and their high financial costs underscore the need to provide teachers with high-quality professional development to ensure effective teaching. In order to create effective learning environments, teachers need opportunities to learn what instruction and assessment practices, curricular resources and classroom management skills work best in a 1:1 student to networked laptop classroom setting. Finally, researchers documented wide variation in fidelity to 1:1 computing, which suggests the need for further research exploring the conditions under which this variation exists.

Abstract: We analyse the bulge/spheroid size-(stellar mass), $R_{\rm e,Sph}-M_{\rm *,Sph}$, relation and spheroid structural parameters for 202 local (predominantly $\lesssim 110~\rm Mpc$) galaxies spanning $ M_*\sim 3\times10^{9}-10^{12}~\rm M_{\odot}$ and $ 0.1 \lesssim R_{\rm e, Sph}\lesssim32~\rm kpc$ from multicomponent decomposition. The correlations between the spheroid S\'ersic index ($n_{\rm Sph}$), central surface brightness ($\mu_{\rm 0, Sph}$), effective half-light radius ($R_{\rm e, Sph}$), absolute magnitude ($\mathfrak{M}_{\rm Sph}$) and stellar mass ($M_{\rm *,Sph}$) are explored. We also investigate the consequences of using different scale radii, $R_{z,\rm Sph}$, encapsulating a different fraction ($z$, from 0 to 1) of the total luminosity. The correlation strengths for projected mass densities, $\Sigma_z$ and $\langle \Sigma \rangle_z$, vary significantly with the choice of $z$. Spheroid size ($R_{\rm z, Sph}$) and mass ($M_{\rm *,Sph}$) are strongly correlated for all light fractions $z$. We find: $\log(R_{\rm e,Sph}/\rm kpc) = 0.88\log(M_{\rm *,Sph}/\rm M_{\odot})-9.15$ with a small scatter of $\Delta_{rms} = 0.24~\rm dex$. This result is discussed relative to the \textit{curved} size-mass relation for early-type galaxies due to their discs yielding larger galaxy radii at lower masses. Moreover, the slope of our spheroid size-mass relation is a factor of $\sim3$, steeper than reported bulge size-mass relations, and with bulge sizes at $M_{\rm *,sph}\sim 3\times10^9~M_\odot$ which are 2 to 3 times smaller. Finally, we show that the local spheroids align well with quiescent galaxies at $z\sim1.25$--$2.25$. Abstract: Choledochal cyst (CC) is a disease with a strong Asian preponderance. As laparoscopic surgery has become mainstay in its treatment, the experience in these countries has been phenomenal. However, there are many contentious issues related with the laparoscopic management of CC. In this review article, we will try to answer the contentious questions related to the laparoscopic management of CC. The issues related to aetiology, classification, surgical technique, type of biliary anastomosis, intrahepatic stones and malignancy are discussed. We also discuss the current and future considerations of laparoscopic management with reference to it becoming a gold standard. This article describes the standard surgical approach and will discuss its technical nuances. This article will also discuss the outcome of treatment in different settings of low- and middle-income countries based on lessons learnt by the authors from their experience and research.

Abstract: Background The Oesophago-Gastric Anastomosis Audit (OGAA) is an international collaborative group set up to study anastomotic leak outcomes after oesophagectomy for cancer. This Delphi study aimed to prioritize future research areas of unmet clinical need in RCTs to reduce anastomotic leaks. Methods A modified Delphi process was overseen by the OGAA committee, national leads, and engaged clinicians from high-income countries (HICs) and low/middle-income countries (LMICs). A three-stage iterative process was used to prioritize research topics, including a scoping systematic review (stage 1), and two rounds of anonymous electronic voting (stages 2 and 3) addressing research priority and ability to recruit. Stratified analyses were performed by country income. Results In stage 1, the steering committee proposed research topics across six domains: preoperative optimization, surgical oncology, technical approach, anastomotic technique, enhanced recovery and nutrition, and management of leaks. In stages 2 and stage 3, 192 and 171 respondents respectively participated in online voting. Prioritized research topics include prehabilitation, anastomotic technique, and timing of surgery after neoadjuvant chemo(radio)therapy. Stratified analyses by country income demonstrated no significant differences in research priorities between HICs and LMICs. However, for ability to recruit, there were significant differences between LMICs and HICs for themes related to the technical approach (minimally invasive, width of gastric tube, ischaemic preconditioning) and location of the anastomosis. Conclusion Several areas of research priority are consistent across LMICs and HICs, but discrepancies in ability to recruit by country income will inform future study design.

Abstract: The near-absence of compact massive quiescent galaxies in the local Universe implies a size evolution since $z\sim2.5$. It is often theorised that such `red nuggets' have evolved into today's elliptical (E) galaxies via an E-to-E transformation. We examine an alternative scenario in which a red nugget develops a rotational disc through mergers and accretion, say, at $1\lesssim z\lesssim2$, thereby cloaking the nugget as the extant bulge/spheroid component of a larger, now old, galaxy. We have performed detailed, physically-motivated, multi-component decompositions of a volume-limited sample of 103 massive ($M_*/\rm M_{\odot} \gtrsim 1\times 10^{11}$) galaxies within 110\,Mpc. Among our 28 galaxies with existing elliptical classifications, we found that 18 have large-scale discs, and two have intermediate-scale discs, and are reclassified here as lenticulars (S0) and elliculars (ES). The local spheroid stellar mass function, size-mass diagram and bulge-to-total ($B/T$) flux ratio are presented. We report lower-limits for the volume number density of compact massive spheroids, $n_\mathrm{c,Sph}\sim (0.17$-$1.2) \times 10^{-4}\,\rm Mpc^{-3}$, based on different definitions of `red nuggets' in the literature. Similar number densities of local compact massive bulges were reported by de la Rosa et al. using automated two-component decompositions and their existence is now abundantly clear with our multi-component decompositions. We find disc-cloaking to be a salient alternative for galaxy evolution. In particular, instead of an E-to-E process, disc growth is the dominant evolutionary pathway for at least low-mass ($1\times10^{10}, Comment: Published in MNRAS. 44 pages, 22 figures

Abstract: Background Textbook outcome has been proposed as a tool for the assessment of oncological surgical care. However, an international assessment in patients undergoing oesophagectomy for oesophageal cancer has not been reported. This study aimed to assess textbook outcome in an international setting. Methods Patients undergoing curative resection for oesophageal cancer were identified from the international Oesophagogastric Anastomosis Audit (OGAA) from April 2018 to December 2018. Textbook outcome was defined as the percentage of patients who underwent a complete tumour resection with at least 15 lymph nodes in the resected specimen and an uneventful postoperative course, without hospital readmission. A multivariable binary logistic regression model was used to identify factors independently associated with textbook outcome, and results are presented as odds ratio (OR) and 95 per cent confidence intervals (95 per cent c.i.). Results Of 2159 patients with oesophageal cancer, 39.7 per cent achieved a textbook outcome. The outcome parameter ‘no major postoperative complication’ had the greatest negative impact on a textbook outcome for patients with oesophageal cancer, compared to other textbook outcome parameters. Multivariable analysis identified male gender and increasing Charlson comorbidity index with a significantly lower likelihood of textbook outcome. Presence of 24-hour on-call rota for oesophageal surgeons (OR 2.05, 95 per cent c.i. 1.30 to 3.22; P = 0.002) and radiology (OR 1.54, 95 per cent c.i. 1.05 to 2.24; P = 0.027), total minimally invasive oesophagectomies (OR 1.63, 95 per cent c.i. 1.27 to 2.08; P < 0.001), and chest anastomosis above azygous (OR 2.17, 95 per cent c.i. 1.58 to 2.98; P < 0.001) were independently associated with a significantly increased likelihood of textbook outcome. Conclusion Textbook outcome is achieved in less than 40 per cent of patients having oesophagectomy for cancer. Improvements in centralization, hospital resources, access to minimal access surgery, and adoption of newer techniques for improving lymph node yield could improve textbook outcome.

With the use of various qualitative approaches including the utilization of media, interpreting advertisements movies, newspapers, and the utilizing of techniques such as sand blots that may be engaging in the classroom with an objective of developing pupils’ second language absorbing ability. Furthermore this research paper highlights the various teaching methodologies that should be adapted and expanded upon in the classroom fittingly by understanding the absorbing capacity of pupils and their learning interest in the theatre of pedagogy.

Abstract: We analyse the bulge/spheroid size–(stellar mass), R e, Sph − M *, Sph, relation and spheroid structural parameters for 202 local (predominantly |$\lesssim 110~\rm Mpc$|⁠) galaxies spanning |$M_*\sim 3\times 10^{9}\!-\!10^{12}~\rm M_{\odot }$| and |$0.1 \lesssim R_\mathrm{e, Sph}\lesssim 32~\rm kpc$| from multicomponent decomposition. The correlations between the spheroid Sérsic index (n Sph), central surface brightness (μ0, Sph), effective half-light radius (R e, Sph), absolute magnitude (⁠|$\mathfrak {M}_\mathrm{Sph}$|⁠), and stellar mass (M *, Sph) are explored. We also investigate the consequences of using different scale radii, |$R_{z,\rm Sph}$|⁠ , encapsulating a different fraction (z , from 0 to 1) of the total spheroid luminosity. The correlation strengths for projected mass densities, Σ z and 〈Σ〉 z , vary significantly with the choice of z. Spheroid size (⁠|$R_\mathrm{z, \rm Sph}$|⁠) and mass (M *, Sph) are strongly correlated for all light fractions z. We find |$\log (R_\mathrm{e,Sph}/\rm kpc) = 0.88\log (M_\mathrm{*,Sph}/\rm M_{\odot })-9.15$| with a small scatter of |$\Delta _{rms} = 0.24~\rm dex$| in the log (R e, Sph) direction. This result is discussed relative to the curved size–mass relation for early-type galaxies due to their discs yielding larger galaxy radii at lower masses. Moreover, the slope of our spheroid size–mass relation is a factor of ∼3, steeper than reported bulge size–mass relations, and with bulge sizes at M *, sph ∼3 × 109 M⊙ which are 2–3 times smaller. Our spheroid size–mass relation present no significant flattening in slope in the low-mass end (⁠|$M_{\rm *,sph}\sim 10^9 - 10^{10}\rm ~M_{\odot }$|⁠). Instead of treating galaxies as single entities, future theoretical and evolutionary models should also attempt to recreate the strong scaling relations of specific galactic components. Additional scaling relations, such as log (n Sph) − log (M *, Sph), log (Σ0, Sph) − log (n Sph), and log (n Sph) − log (R e, Sph), are also presented. Finally, we show that the local spheroids align well with the size-mass distribution of quiescent galaxies at z ∼ 1.25–2.25. Abstract: Local early-type galaxies (ETGs) with directly measured black hole masses, M bh, have been reported to represent a biased sample relative to the ETG population at large. Such galaxies with Spitzer Space Telescope imaging have been purported to possess velocity dispersions, σ, at least ∼0.1 dex larger for a given galaxy stellar mass, M *,gal, than is typically observed among thousands of ETGs imaged by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). This apparent offset led Shankar et al. to reduce the normalisation of the observed M bh ∝ σ5 relation by at least ∼0.5 dex to give their 'intrinsic relations', including σ-based modifications to the observed M bh– M *,gal relation. These modifications were based on the untested assumption that the stellar masses had been derived consistently between the two samples. Here, we provide the necessary check using galaxies common to the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies (S4G) and the SDSS. We find that the stellar masses of galaxies with and without directly measured black hole masses had appeared offset from each other due to the use of inconsistent stellar mass-to-light ratios, Υ *, for the optical and infrared data. We briefly discuss the 'intrinsic relations' and why some of these will at times appear to have had partial success when applied to data based on similarly inconsistent values of Υ *. Finally, we reiterate the importance of the υ (lower-case Υ) term, which we previously introduced into the M bh– M * relations to help avoid Υ *-related mismatches. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
