Çerçevelerin dinamik analizinde, ankastre bağlı oldukları ve kolonlarının kütle ve deformasyonunun ihmal edildiği kabulleri sıkça yapılır. Ancak gerçekte, çerçeve kolonlarının temele bağlı noktaları sismik etkiler sebebiyle ötelenme ve dönme gösterebilmektedir. Bu durumda, mesnet davranışı elastik yaylarıyla modellenebilir. Ayrıca, gerçekte kolonlar yayılı kütleye ve rijitliğe sahiptir. Bu çalışmada, Timoshenko kolonu olarak modellenen çerçevenin mesnedi ötelenmeye ve dönmeye karşı elastik yaylar ile modellenmiştir. Genelleştirilmiş hareket denklemi sistemin enerji ifadeleri kullanılarak Lagrange denklemi ile elde edilmiş, Newmark-β metodu kullanılarak sistemin dinamik tepkisi hesaplanmış ve 1999 İzmit depremi yer ivmeleri kullanılarak tepki spektrumları elde edilmiştir, The assumptions of frame supports being fully rigid and distributed masses and deformations of the columns being neglected are frequently taken into consideration in dynamic analysis of plane frames. In practice, however, column bases of frames may usually rotate and translate a little due to seismic effects. In this case, support behavior can be modeled using elastic springs at the column bases of frames. Besides, columns, in fact, are not massless, and have distributed mass and stiffness. In this study, the support of the frame modeled as Timoshenko column is modeled by elastic springs against rotation and translation. The generalized equation of motion is obtained by Lagrange equation using energy relations of the system, the dynaimc response is computed for different elastic spring coefficients using incremental Newmark-β method, and response spectra are obtained using ground accelerations of 1999 Izmit earthquake

In this study, two approaches having different characteristics, one being TransferMatrix Method (TMM) that reduces computational effort and time by reducingthe dimension of the considered matrix to four for all problems and the otherbeing The Adaptive Network based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) used in TheFuzzy Logic Toolbox of Matlab software that again needs less computationaleffort and time are compared in the free vibration analysis of Timoshenkocolumns with attached masses having rotary inertia. The governing equation ofthe column elements is solved by applying the separation of variables method inthe TMM algorithm. The same problems are solved, also, by fuzzy-neuralapproach in which ANFIS model is used by establishing Neuro Fuzzy FrequencyEstimation (NFFE) models. Natural frequencies for the first three modes of anelastically supported Timoshenko column with 1, 5 and 10 attached masses arecomputed using NFFE models, and the results are compared with the ones ofTMM. The comparison graphs are presented in numerical analysis to show theeffectiveness of the considered methods, and it is resulted that neuro-fuzzyapproach may give encouraging results for these kinds of models having greatnumber of attached masses.

The assumptions of frame supports being fully rigid; storey masses being concentrated at the floor levels; distributed masses and shear deformations of the columns being neglected are frequently seen in dynamic analysis of frames because of less effort in calculation. In practice, however, columns may usually rotate and translate a little due to elastic behavior of soil. In this case, elastic support behavior can be modeled using elastic springs against translation and rotation at the column bases. In this study, free vibration of elastically supported columns is studied including shear deformation of the column and natural frequencies are obtained. Increasing effect of increasing rotational and translational spring coefficients at the column base and decreasing effect of increasing concentrated mass and its rotational inertia at the top of column on frequency values are presented in graphs., Çerçevelerin dinamik analizinde hesap kolaylığı açısından, çerçevelerin zemine bağlandığı noktaların tam ankastre olduğu, kat kütlelerinin kat seviyelerinde topaklandığı, kolonların yayılı kütlesinin ve kayma deformasyonunun ihmal edildiği kabullerine sık rastlanmaktadır. Ancak uygulamada çoğu kez çerçevelerin zemine bağlandığı noktalar, zeminin elastik davranışı nedeni ile bir miktar dönebilmekte ve ötelenebilmektedir. Bu durumda çerçevenin zemine bağlandığı noktaya dönmeye ve ötelenmeye karşı elastik yaylar yerleştirilerek yarı-rijit mesnet davranışı modellenebilir. Bu çalışmada, zemine yarı-rijit bağlı tek katlı çerçevelerin serbest titreşim analizi kolonların yayılı kütlesi ve kayma deformasyonu dikkate alınarak yapılmış ve açısal frekansları elde edilmiştir. Kolon tabanındaki ötelenme ve dönme yay sabiti değerlerindeki artışın frekans değerlerinde meydana getirdiği artma ve kolon üst serbest ucundaki toplu kütlenin ve dönme ataletinin değerlerindeki artışın frekanslarda meydana getirdiği azalma grafiklerle sunulmuştur.

Depremde yapılarda olusan yapısal hasarların, toptan göçmelerin bir sebebi de zeminparametrelerinin dikkate alınmadan yapısal analizin gerçeklestirilmesidir. Bu nedenleçalısmada, zemine yarı-rijit baglanmıs olan çerçevelerin dogrusal olmayandavranıslarının tepki spektrumlarının elde edilmesi arastırılmıstır. Bu amaçla,çerçevenin zemine baglandıgı noktalar, zemin özelliklerine temsilen dönmeye veötelenmeye karsı elastik yaylar ile modellenmistir.Birçok yapı topaklanmıs kütleli sistemler ile modellenmesine ragmen gerçekte tümyapıların, sonsuz sayıda serbestlik dereceleri vardır. One of the reasonable causes of considerable damages observed in structures afterthe earthquakes is the performing analysis without considering soil parameters. Inthis thesis, obtaining response spectra for nonlinear behavior of the semi-rigidsupported frames is studied. For this purpose, column-soil joints of the frame aremodeled with elastic springs against translation and rotation to include soilproperties.Although structures are frequently modeled as discrete parameter system withconcentrated masses, all structures, infact, have infinite degree of freedom. In thisstudy, the distributed mass and deformations of vertical structural elementsrepresenting the lateral stiffness of the frame are also taken into consideration in theresponse spectrum analysis and the mathematical model of the frame is establishedas a continuous system with concentrated masses.Response spectrum method supplies a great arithmetic comfort in modern earthquakeengineering for calculation of element forces and displacements of structural systemsand therefore is widely used in the discipline. The designer can read the spectralacceleration of a structure having a certain period from the spectrum curves obtainedfor the considered earthquake and can calculate the earthquake force acting to thestructure that will be designed as earthquake-resistant. The response of semi-rigidsupported frames subjected to strong ground motions is searched, in this study,taking inelastic material behavior into consideration. Elastic and inelastic responsespectra of semi-rigid supported frames are obtained for different ductility levels.Response displacement, velocity and acceleration spectra obtained for differentspring coefficients defining soil properties are presented in graphs. 241

ÖZET Bu çalışmada Gediz Nehri'nin su kalitesi parametrelerinin bulunmasında Yapay Sinir Ağı'nın kullanılması üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Kolay ölçülebilen parametreler kullanılarak Yapay Sinir Ağı Programı yardımıyla ölçülmesi zor parametrelerin bulunması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amacın gerçekleşmesi halinde herhangi bir nedenle öiçülememiş eksik parametreler bilgisayar ortamında tamamlanabilecek, ölçülmesi zor ve pahalı parametreler yine bilgisayar ortamında ölçülmesine gerek kaimadarrçok düşük rıatayüzdeleriyte hesapianabilecektir. Herhangi bir mühendislik disiplininde Yapay Sinir Ağı programı kullanılırken minimum hata yüzdel'ı maksimum başarıyı elde etmek için sağlanması gerekli olan en öncelikli şart bulunması istenen çıktı parametresini maksimum derecede etkileyen girdi parametreleriyle çalışmaktır. Bu sebeple bu çalışmada girdi parametreleri olarak Q (debi), T (sıcaklık), pH (asidite) seçilerek çıktı parametresi olarak TDS'nin (toplam çözünmüş katı madde) bulunması hedeflenmiştir. Program girdilerinin farklı değerler! için YSA programı çalıştırılarak sırasıyla eğitme ve test aşamaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Her ayın eğitme işleminin en başarılı sonucu için programın test aşaması yapılmıştır. ' Test aşamasında başarı elde edildiği takdirde programın ölçülmüş veriler yardımıyla eksik veri tamamlamada ve yakın gelecekteki verileri tahmin etmede kullanılabileceği gösterilmiştir. Birçok mühendislik dallarından sonra inşaat mühendisliğinde de kullanamaya başlanan Yapay Sinir Âğı programının suların kirliliği ile ilgifi olan bu çalışmada yeteri oranda başarı sağladığı görülmüştür. ABSTRACT In this study, finding the water quality parameters of Gediz River by using Artificial Neural Network program has been worked on. The main purpose has been to find the required parameters (sometimes measured hardly) by using the parameters measured easily aided by Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) program. If a success can be reached through this purpose the lost parameters and the parameters that are measured hardly and expensively can be calculated with very low error percentages by a computer using ANN program. When ANN is used in any engineering discipline, using input parameters that affect output parameters (that are wanted to be found) maximally is the main step for getting the best success with minimum error percentage. For this reason, the parameters of Q (flow), T (temperature), pH (acidity) have been chosen as input data, and the parameter of TDS (total dissolved solid) has been chosen as the output data to be found. As ANN program has been worked for the different values of the program inputs, the learning phase and so the test phase of the program have been done. The test phase of the program has been worked for the. most successful result of the learning phase of each month of the year. It has been thought that the program could have been used to find the parameters that weren't measured because of any reason and to estimate the parameters of the near future if a success at the test phase has been reached. ANN program that has been used also in civil engineering as the most other engineering branches, has showed a great enough success in this study. 51
