The authors describe a particular situation of a superficial blood vessel system of the upper limb, discovered accidentally during a dissection performed on a preserved cadaver for teaching purposes. On the trajectory of the blood vessel that continues from the brachial region to the armpit basilica vein was found alternation of arterial and venous structure, without evidence of arterio-venous anastomoses to suggest total transformation of the vein into an artery. In the axillary region, the vessel continues with (without spillage into) the axillary vein. Noteworthy that this particularity had a unilateral disposition, in the upper limb contralateral vessels having disposition, trajectory and physical appearance according to classical anatomical descriptions. The disposal of the vague nerves in relation to the esophagus and the formation of vagal trunks is a hot topic in the esophagus and ablation surgery that is performed in the case of cardiac fibrillation. In this paper we aimed to study the relationships of nerves and vagal trunks with the esophagus, also the formation of vagal trunks. For the study we used a group of 10 fetuses aged between 25-38 gestational weeks. Fetal age was determined based on biparietal diameter and vertex coccige length. All subjects were dissected on an anterior approach for the cervical region and by thoracic posterior approach. After corroboration on literature data and the findings of the study we observed that in the cervical region the vague nerves do not give direct esophageal branches, in the right supra bronchial thoracic region are not found direct vagal esophageal branches and in the left the innervation of the esophagus is highly variable. Morphometric spine in the fetus and newborn is a current subject of the literature. In this study we aimed to seek a series of morphometric indices of fetal hemiarch lumbar spine and newborn to correlate with age and/or sex of fetuses and newborns. This paper has surveyed a group of ten bodies of infants and fetuses. Preparations were obtained by cold and hot maceration technique. Necessary images to the study were acquired using data acquisition interface Matrox Comet and processed using dedicated morphometry program Lucia-M. In conclusion we obtained a series of morphometric indices of fetal hemiarch lumbar spine and newborn to correlate with age but I did not found a correlation with the sex of the studied subjects. High-speed microstrip microchannel plate (MCP) x-ray framing cameras are a well established diagnostic for laser plasma experiments. Each frame acquired with these devices requires a separate image, and with most reasonable x-ray optics, a separate line of sight, causing potential parallax problems. Gated image tubes have a single line of sight capability, but the conventional designs have not been effectively extended to the short gating times of the microstrip-line MCP camera. A hybrid camera combining image tube and microstrip-line MCP technology has been under development at Lawrence Livermore National Lab in collaboration with University of Rochester Lab for Laser energetics, and KENTECH Instruments. The key feature of this single line of sight hybrid image tube is a deflection assembly that continuously divides the electrons from a single photocathode x-ray image into a set of four electron images. Temporal gating of these images is carried out using a microstrip-line microchannel plate framing camera module positioned at the image plane of the electron tube. Characterization measurements performed using both x rays from a Manson source and from laser generated plasmas, will be presented. Some implementation improvements will be discussed. A full aperture backscatter station (FABS) target diagnostic has been activated on the first four beams of the National Ignition Facility. FABS measures both stimulated Brillouin scattering and stimulated Raman scattering with a suite of measurement instruments. Digital cameras and spectrometers record spectrally resolved energy for both P and S polarized light. Streaked spectrometers measure the spectral and temporal behavior of the backscattered light. Calorimeters and fast photodetectors measure the integrated energy and temporal behavior of the light, respectively.
