BACKGROUND: Although lysyl-tRNA synthetase (KARS1) is predominantly located in the cytosol, it is also present in the plasma membrane where it stabilizes the 67-kDa laminin receptor (67LR). This physical interaction is strongly increased under metastatic conditions. However, the dynamic interaction of these two proteins and the turnover of KARS1 in the plasma membrane has not previously been investigated. OBJECTIVE: Our objective in this study was to identify the membranous location of KARS1 and 67LR and investigate if this changes with the developmental stage of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and treatment with the inhibitor BC-K01. In addition, we evaluated the therapeutic efficacy of BC-K01 in combination with paclitaxel, as the latter is frequently used to treat patients with EOC. METHODS: Overall survival and prognostic significance were determined in EOC patients according to KARS1 and 67LR expression levels as determined by immunohistochemistry. Changes in the location and expression of KARS1 and 67LR were investigated in vitro after BC-K01 treatment. The effects of this compound on tumor growth and apoptosis were evaluated both in vitro and in vivo. RESULTS: EOC patients with high KARS1 and high 67LR expression had lower progression-free survival rates than those with low expression levels of these two markers. BC-K01 reduced cell viability and increased apoptosis in combination with paclitaxel in EOC cell xenograft mouse models. BC-K01 decreased membranous KARS1 expression, causing a reduction in 67LR membrane expression in EOC cell lines. BC-K01 significantly decreased in vivo tumor weight and number of nodules, especially when used in combination with paclitaxel. CONCLUSIONS: Co-localization of KARS1 and 67LR in the plasma membrane contributes to EOC progression. Inhibition of the KARS1-67LR interaction by BC-K01 suppresses metastasis in EOC.

There have been few studies to date on the residual effect of bisphosphonate. This study investigated the radiographic changes of mandibular cortical thickness upon bisphosphonate drug holiday.This retrospective study includes 36 patients diagnosed with MRONJ (medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw) at Ajou University Dental Hospital in 2010-2021. All patients stopped taking bisphosphonate under consultation with the prescribing physicians. Panoramic radiographs were taken at the start of discontinuation (TThe difference in indices (mental index and panoramic mandibular index) between TThe cortical thickness of the mandible decreased in the late stage (after 18 months) as observed by panoramic radiograph.

To improve the mechanical properties of collagen hydrogels, which are widely utilized as biomaterials, post-cross-linking of collagen hydrogels was performed using polyrotaxane (PRX) as a cross-linker. Herein, carboxymethyl group-modified PRXs (CMPRs) composed of carboxymethylated α-cyclodextrins (α-CDs) threaded along poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) capped with bulky stoppers were used to cross-link via reaction with the amino groups in the collagen. Four series of CMPRs with different α-CD threading ratios and axle PEG molecular weights were used for the post-cross-linking of the collagen hydrogels to verify the optimal CMPR chemical compositions. The post-cross-linking of the collagen hydrogels with CMPRs improved the swelling ratios and mechanical properties, such as viscoelasticity and tensile strength. Among the tested CMPRs, CMPRs with an axle PEG molecular weight of 35,000 (PEG35k) resulted in better mechanical properties than CMPRs with a PEG10k axis. Additionally, the cell adhesion and proliferation were greatly improved on the surface of the collagen hydrogels post-cross-linked with CMPRs with the PEG35k axle. These findings suggest that the molecular weight of an axle polymer in CMPRs is a more important parameter than the α-CD threading ratios. Accordingly, the post-cross-linking of hydrogels with PRXs is promising for improving the mechanical properties and biomaterial functions of collagen hydrogels.

Heat shock protein 27 (HSP27), which is highly expressed in human lung and breast cancer tissues, induced resistance to cell death against various stimuli. Treatment of NCI-H1299 cells, which express a high level of HSP27, with small interference RNA specifically targeting HSP27 resulted in inhibition of their resistance to radiation or cisplatin, suggesting that HSP27 contributed to cellular resistance in these lung cancer cells. Furthermore, because HSP27 interacts directly with the COOH terminus of the protein kinase Cδ (PKCδ)-V5 region with ensuing inhibition of PKCδ activity and PKCδ-mediated cell death, we wished to determine amino acid residues in the V5 region that mediate its interaction with HSP27. Investigation with various deletion mutants of the region revealed that amino acid residues 668 to 674 of the V5 region mediate its interaction with HSP27. When NCI-H1299 cells were treated with biotin or with FITC-tagged heptapeptide of the residues 668 to 674 (E-F-Q-F-L-D-I), the cells exhibited dramatically increased cisplatin or radiation-induced cell death with the heptapeptide having efficient interaction with HSP27, which in turn restored the PKCδ activity that had been inhibited by HSP27. In vivo nude mice grafting data also suggested that NCI-H1299 cells were sensitized by this heptapeptide. The above data strongly show that the heptapeptide of the PKCδ-V5 region sensitized human cancer cells through its interaction with HSP27, thereby sequestering HSP27. The heptapeptide may provide a novel strategy for selective neutralization of HSP27. [Cancer Res 2007;67(13):6333–9]

A sustainable plasma electrocatalytic route to produce green ammonia

Collagen, with low antigenicity and excellent cell adhesion, is a biomaterial mainly used for regenerating bone, cartilage, and skin, owing to its biocompatibility and biodegradability. Results from a previous study confirmed that a scaffold mixed with duck feet-derived collagen (DC) and Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) reduced inflammatory reaction and increased bone regeneration. To develop an optimal bone substitute we included hydroxyapatite (HAp), a key osteoconductive material, in a DC and PLGA mixture. We fabricated 0, 10, 20, 40, 60, and 80 wt% DC/PLGA/HAp scaffolds and studied their potential for bone tissue engineering. Characteristic analysis of the scaffold and seeding of rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (rBMSCs) on the scaffold were conducted to investigate cell proliferation, osteogenic differentiation, and bone formation. We confirmed that increasing DC concentration not only improved the compressive strength of the DC/PLGA/HAp scaffold but also cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation. It was found through comparison with previous studies that including HAp in the scaffold also promotes osteogenic differentiation. Our study thus shows through in vivo results that the 80 wt% DC/PLGA/HAp scaffold promotes bone mineralization and collagen deposition while reducing the inflammatory response. Hence, 80 wt% DC/PLGA/HAp has excellent potential as a biomaterial for bone regeneration applications.

Acetaminophen (paracetamol, APAP) is a major component of Tylenol, Penzal Q, and Panpyrin, and is the most commonly used antipyretic analgesic in children. The conventional oral drug delivery systems of APAP are pills and tablets. However alternative drug delivery methods are desirable in case of pediatric or geriatric patients, especially for drugs like APAP that must be taken in large doses at once. Another requirement for a good drug delivery system is the rapid dissolution to ensure a rapid therapeutic action as pain reliever. In this study Acetaminophen (paracetamol, APAP) was encapsulated in a water-soluble polymer. After the preparation of the solid dispersion by encapsulating acetaminophen in polyvinylpyrrolidone, the resultant granules were used in three formulations: tablets, chewable tablets, and oral dissolving films (ODF). Solid dispersions and prepared formulations were evaluated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and universal tensile machine (UTM), and the release behavior was compared. As a result, it was confirmed that the oral dissolving films can be taken easily because it has the advantages of both tablet and liquid dosage form accurate dosage, easy administration, easy swallowing, and fast bioavailability. Furthermore, the drug absorption rate can be effectively increased by changing the formulation.

The purpose of this study was to improve the processability of rice powder using fluidised-bed granulation technology. Bukkyungmi-rice granules were prepared by fluidised-bed granulation for 1 and 2 h using water, 5% lactose (w/v) and 5% dextrin (w/v) solutions as dispersants. The particle size of Bukkyungmi-rice granules increased from 574.83 to 728.07 μm. Granules were produced due to pore formation, and the produced particles could be dispersed easily without any entanglement. The water solubility of the produced rice granules is 1.91–6.74%, which reflects the improvement in their quality with increased treatment time. In particular, Bukkyungmi-rice granules processed in 5% dextrin showed excellent settleability. The enthalpy (ΔH) was found to be the highest for Bukkyungmi-rice granules processed in 5% dextrin for 2 h by differential scanning calorimetry. The results indicated that rice granules obtained by fluidised-bed granulation could be used in various types of rice-based foods.

Plasma catalysis has been extensively investigated on both plasma and catalyst sides to explore the possible synergies, with most studies focusing on reactivity enhancement and the search for pathways other than those of simple plasma or catalytic reactions. However, there is currently much room for plasma applications beyond reactivity control in catalyst preparation and regeneration phases. This review introduces the use of plasma for accelerated catalyst regeneration and proposes a corresponding mechanistic explanation, showing that the effectiveness of this regeneration can be ascribed to the chemical and/or thermal effects of plasma such as the formation of reactive reductants/oxidants and cost-effective catalyst heat-up. Moreover, plasma-assisted catalyst regeneration is shown to involve low-temperature activation and gas-phase radical–based reactions, be a viable method of avoiding catalyst sintering during conventional high-temperature regeneration, and exhibit the advantage of cost effectiveness.

The physicochemical properties and immunomodulatory effects of polysaccharides isolated from the sea squirt Styela plicata were investigated. The crude polysaccharide (SP) was further fractionated into an unabsorbed fraction (SF-1) and absorbed fractions (SF-2 and SF3) to isolate polysaccharides with different molecular weights. The major constituents in the crude and fractionated polysaccharides were total carbohydrate (28.03-42.65%), uronic acid (9.88-23.76%), sulfate (18.03-29.25%), and protein (1.48-26.47%). The average molecular weights of the fractionated polysaccharides ranged from 28 to 1,187 kDa. The significant monosaccharide components of the polysaccharides were galactose (27.91-62.21%), glucose (14.79-37.63%), and glucosamine (10.74-28.31%). FT-IR analysis indicates that SP, SF-1, SF-2, and SF-3 were sulfated polysaccharides. SF-1 increased the production of nitric oxide and cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin 6, in a dose-dependent manner in RAW 264.7 cells. Further, polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed that the mRNA expression of inducible NO synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) was markedly increased. These results indicate that SF-1 can enhance the activation of macrophages and that increasing the molecular weight and the uronic acid and sulfate content of fractionated polysaccharides can enhance their immunomodulatory function.

This paper describes utilization of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma interaction with impregnated surface nano-particles for plasma applications. The plasma generation characteristics on DBD plasma actuator and packed-bed reactor are investigated with unexpected objects as impregnated catalysts. The streamer generation of DBD plasma is influenced by different surface nano-particles of the impregnated catalyst between the discharge gaps. The practical use of DBD plasma-catalyst interaction is discussed.

This report proposes a method that uses plasma in combination with combustion to remove very low concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that cannot be combusted with conventional burners. A burner with a fuel-rich pilot flame with an equivalence ratio of 1.5, 2, or 2.5 was formed, and a rotating arc plasma with a specific energy input (SEI) of 0–1.2 kJ/L was applied. When the plasma was used in the pilot flame, the temperature of the emitted gas increased, as did the concentration of combustible gas in the emitted gas, such that the selectivity reached a maximum of 0.8 (CO), 0.4 (H2), and 0.06 (C2H2). Lean VOC emission was simulated by preparing a mixture of propane and nitrogen with nitrogen content of 98% or 99% and this mixture was sprayed downstream from the plasma pilot flame to form the main flame. The combustion state of the main flame and exhaust gas was then analyzed to measure the hydrocarbon treatment ratio. The results showed that, when high-SEI plasma was employed in a high-equivalence-ratio pilot flame, NOx emission remained minimal and an HC treatment ratio close to 1 was obtainable. The use of this method for combustion enables the flow rates of treatable VOC mixtures to be specified such that the concentration of CO and NOx in the emitted gases is minimized.

In this study, a sustainable air plasma-based nitrogen fixation into reactive nitrogen species in water (e.g. nitrate and nitrite) is presented, which mimics the lightning-based nitrogen fixation that occurs in nature. We report a hybrid plasma system that combines a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor (as an efficient ozone source) and an arc plasma reactor (as an efficient NOx source). This hybrid plasma system completely converts gaseous NOx and O-3 into NOx- in water with almost zero emissions (NOx and O-3). Gaseous outlets, in-liquid species, and electrical parameters were investigated. The energy cost for nitrate production via a single-pass reaction was extremely reduced to 8 MJ mol(-1), which enhanced the applicability of the direct one-step nitrogen fixation into NOx- in water for distributed fertilizer production to decrease the dependence on the Haber-Bosh process toward sustainable agricultural development.

Hydrogen energy is one of the key technologies that can help to prevent global warming. A water electrolysis process can be used to produce hydrogen, in which hydrogen is produced at one electrode of the electrochemical cell, and oxygen is produced at the other electrode. On the other hand, the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) requires multiple reaction steps and precious-metal-based catalysts (e.g., Ru/C, Ir/C, RuO2, and IrO2) as electrocatalysts to improve the reaction rate. Their high cost and limited supply, however, limit their applications to the mass production of hydrogen. In this study, boron, nitrogen-doped carbon incorporated with molybdenum carbide (MoC-BN/C) was synthesized to replace the precious-metal-based catalysts in the OER. B, N-doped carbon with nanosized molybdenum nanoparticles was fabricated by plasma engineering. The synthesized catalysts were heat-treated at 600, 700, and 800 &deg, C in nitrogen for one hour to enhance the conductivity. The best MoC-BN/C electrocatalysts (heated at 800 &deg, C) exhibited superior OER catalytic activity: 1.498 V (vs. RHE) and 1.550 V at a current density of 10 and 100 mA/cm2, respectively. The hybrid electrocatalysts even outperformed the noble electrocatalyst (5 wt.% Ru/C) with higher stability. Therefore, the hybrid electrocatalyst can replace expensive precious-metal-based catalysts for the upcoming hydrogen economy.

A gellan gum (GG) hydrogel must demonstrate a number of critical qualities&mdash, low viscosity, degradability, desirable mechanical properties, anti-swelling properties, and biocompatibility&mdash, in order to be regarded as suitable for retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) regeneration. In this study, we investigated whether the application of an eggshell membrane (ESM) to a GG hydrogel improved these critical attributes. The crosslinking of the ESM/GG hydrogels was most effectively reduced, when a 4 w/v% ESM was used, leading to a 40% less viscosity and a 30% higher degradation efficiency than a pure GG hydrogel. The compressive moduli of the ESM/GG hydrogels were maintained, as the smaller pores formed by the addition of the ESM compensated for the slightly weakened mechanical properties of the ESM/GG hydrogels. Meanwhile, due to the relatively low hydrophilicity of ESM, a 4 w/v% ESM enabled an ESM/GG hydrogel to swell 30% less than a pure GG hydrogel. Finally, the similarity in components between the ESM and RPE cells facilitated the proliferation of the latter without any significant cytotoxicity.

Periodontitis is characterised by inflammation of periodontium and alveolar bone loss. Gardenia jasminoides is reported to have anti-inflammatory effects. In this study, we investigated the effects of aqueous extract of G. jasminoides (GJ) on periodontitis.Male Sprague-Dawley rats aged 7 weeks were randomly placed in three groups (n = 7); non-ligatured and non-treated (NL group), ligatured and distilled water-treated (L group) and ligatured and 100 mg/kg GJ-treated (GJ group). After oral administration of GJ for 14 days, the mandibles were removed for histology. In addition, RAW 264.7 cells were treated with 100 ng/ml receptor activator of nuclear factor-κΒ ligand (RANKL) and 1, 10 and 100 μg/ml GJ for 7 days to analyse the expression of periodontitis-related factors.In GJ-treated mice, the score of alveolar bone loss was statistically significantly attenuated compared with the L group. GJ treatment showed inhibition effect in the progress of cementum demineralisation. The expressions of proinflammatory cytokines in gingival tissue were statistically significantly regulated by GJ treatment. Additionally, GJ treatment showed the dose-dependent inhibition of RANKL-induced osteoclast formation. Furthermore, GJ treatment downregulated the RANKL-induced cytokine production in RAW 264.7 cells.In summary, GJ ameliorated periodontitis-induced alveolar bone loss via inhibiting transcription factors including nuclear factor-κB, c-fos and extracellular signal-regulated kinase signalling. Therefore, GJ might be a therapeutic option for treating periodontitis.

In this study, the physicochemical properties of aromatic rice prepared using different milling recoveries and roasting procedures were investigated. As a result, we found that the L value of different milling recoveries of aromatic rice (BA-1, BA-2, BA-4, and BA-6) increased as the aromatic rice (BA-0) decreased, while the a and b values decreased as the different milling recoveries increased. The major contributors to the different milling recoveries of aromatic rice were total polyphenol (28.11-33.84 mg/100 g), amylose (24.97-31.06 mg/100 g), total starch (68.27-73.04%) content. In addition, three different roasting methods were applied; the aromatic rice was roasted at 250℃ for 0 min (BAR-0M), 15 min (BAR-15M), or 30 min (BAR-30M). As a result, the color in terms of the L value decreased, whereas the a and b values increased. Also, the total phenolic and flavonoid contents in BAR-30M (41.65 mg/100 g and 22.30 mg/100 g, respectively) were higher than those in BAR-0M (33.00 mg/100 g and 20.78 mg/100 g, respectively). Similarly, the amylose and total starch contents in BAR-30M (26.10 g/100 g and 81.81%, respectively) were higher than those in BAR-0M (22.10 g/100 g and 74.26%, respectively). Furthermore, the DPPH, superoxide radical scavenging activity, and ferric reducing antioxidant potential of BAR-0M at 5,000 μg/mL were found to be 67.78%, 52.90%, and 0.79 mM, respectively. Based on these results, we can conclude that in order to provide the best physicochemical characteristics of aromatic rice, it should be manufactured in the following conditions: 20% milling recovery of the aromatic rice and roasting at 250℃ for 30 min.

In this study, oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) was carried out to produce C2 and C3 hydrocarbons directly from methane in a plasma-catalyst hybrid system. Since catalyst only reaction requires high temperature above 700 °C, dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma was applied as plasma source to lower the reaction temperature. Among various supports, only SiO2 showed the higher yield than plasma only reaction when combined with DBD plasma, which led us to focus on the SiO2-based catalyst. It was found that Ag/SiO2 demonstrated the highest C2+ hydrocarbon yield of about 9.7% at 385 °C. In this process, oxygen was proved to play an essential role in the coupling of methane to C2+ hydrocarbons over Ag/SiO2 catalyst. However, Ag/SiO2 catalyst under plasma condition became deactivated with time-on-stream because of coking. It was demonstrated that plasma regeneration at 378 °C gave rise to the full recovery of activity while thermal regeneration did not due to the partial removal of coke and the sintering of Ag.

This study investigated the immune-enhancing effects of polysaccharides extracted from Gloiopeltis furcata (red seaweed) with different molecular weights. A crude polysaccharide mixture was hydrolyzed using acid treatment (0.1 N HCl) and three molecular weight fractions were generated and filtered using centrifugation: (≤10 kDa, 10 to 100 kDa, and 100 kDa. Nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 cells treated with 0.01-0.5 μg/mL polysaccharides ≥100 kDa was 12.28-19.05 μM. Treatment with polysaccharides ≥100 kDa increased cytokine levels, including TNF-α and IL-6 levels, in a dose-dependent manner. Polymerase chain reaction analysis also revealed marked increases in iNOS and COX-2 mRNA expression levels. These findings lead us to conclude that macrophage activation induced by polysaccharides ≥100 kDa was greater than that induced by polysaccharides ≤10 kDa or between 10 and 100 kDa. The polysaccharides ≥100 kDa extracted from Gloiopeltis furcata investigated herein are potentially useful as natural immune-enhancing agents. These findings provided further insights into the potential use of ≥100 kDa as immunopotentiator or new function food.

Background Scutellaria baicalensis (SB) is widely used as a medicinal plant to treat various inflammatory diseases. In the present study, we investigated the effects of SB on periodontitis in ligature-induced experimental rat model. Methods Rats were subjected to a ligature placement around the first molar of the mandible to induce periodontitis. 100 mg/kg SB extracts were orally administered for 14 days. The molar tissues were stained with 1% methylene blue. Histopathological changes of the periodontium were observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. The levels of cytokines were measured in the gingival tissue. Results Alveolar bone resorption was statistically lower in the SB group compared to the ligatured group. SB inhibited the mineralization of cementum. In addition, SB reduced the production of IL-1β, 6, -8 and TNF-α cytokine mRNA expression in gingival tissues. Conclusion These results suggest that SB showed ameliorative effects in the ligature-induced periodontitis by inhibition of inflammatory cytokine expression.

This paper describes the performance degradation of impregnated catalyst in the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma-assisted methane conversion process. Mn and Ni mixed copper-zinc catalysts, and bare γ-Al2O3 support were exposed to the DBD plasma generated at 1 kHz and 9 kV under CH4 direct conversion for 4 hours. The performance degradation due to the surface damage of the catalyst by the plasma was investigated by SEM analysis.

Transition-metal-based catalysts are considered to be promising oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts with lost capital cost and high durability. Herein, a core-double shell nanocubic γ-Fe2O3@FeS2@C with energy level matching was fabricated to regulate the electrochemical electronic structure and enable efficient charge transfer at the double-interface, which could effectively reduce the OER reaction barrier and activate fast OER kinetics. Although the concept of energy level matching has been widely applied in semiconductor, it was rarely studied in OER electrocatalyst. The γ-Fe2O3@FeS2@C catalyst displayed exceptional small overpotential (268 mV) at 10 mA/cm2 and Tafel slope (54 mV/dec), which was superior than that of the benchmark 20 wt% Ir/C catalyst (with an overpotential of 287 mV and a Tafel slope of 71 mV/dec). This work presented a novel approach for developing earth‐abundant and highly active OER electrocatalysts based on energy level matching and phase transformations for alkaline-based water electrolysis.

A novel concurrent process for CO2 reduction and plastic upcycling was successfully developed based on a rotating gliding arc plasma process, where CO2 gas and Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) powder were used as reactants for the process. Herein, the LDPE powder was regarded as an alternative of plastic waste, and the high temperature of the plasma jet thermochemically decomposed the plastic powder. Based on gas chromatography analyses, the yields of the C1 and C2 chemicals were confirmed, which demonstrated the possibility for the chemical upcycling of the plastic powder with CO2 plasma jet. At the same time, the conversion of CO2 at the exhaust gas increased with increasing electric power of the plasma jet. In addition, as the electric power further enhanced, the reverse reactions were efficiently suppressed by the chemical quenching process due to complete depletion of the oxygen by the light hydrocarbon gases generated from the pyrolysis of the plastic powder. Based on the molecular balance of C and O, the calculated syngas to CO2 ratio was achieved up to 32 % in a batch-type plasma reactor with a power supply of 1170 W. It is rational inference that the efficiency will be significantly improved if a plug-in type plasma reactor with higher power supply is implemented. In conclusion, this novel concurrent process would be a promising approach for an efficient and scalable technology of CO2 utilization.

Wound recovery close to the function of the native skin is the goal of wound healing. In this study, we prepared foam dressings (FDs, 2-GHC-FD-1–9, 5-GHC-FD-1–9, and 10-GHC-FD-1–9) composed of various concentrations of gelatin, hyaluronic acid, and carboxymethyl chitosan, which are chemically interconnected through amide bond formation, for evaluating wound healing. Tensile and cell proliferation tests showed that 2-GHC-FD-1–9 are suitable for wound dressing. For further evaluation, three types of FDs, 2-GHC-FD-1, 2-GHC-FD-4, and 2-GHC-FD-8 were chosen. The results of animal intradermal reactivity, water vapor transmission rate, and absorption rate of the three FDs indicated that 2-GHC-FD-8 is the most appropriate scaffold for wound healing. For wound healing acceleration, various concentrations of fibroblast growth factor-7 (FGF-7) was soaked in 2-GHC-FD-8 (2-GHC-FD-8/F1-6) and evaluated by using scanning electron microscopy, cell proliferation, release behavior, and in vivo animal tests. The FDs showed interconnected porous structures, increased cell proliferation until 8.0 × 10−11 M, controlled release with initial burst within 1 h, and sustained release for 48 h. The results of the animal test showed an appropriate concentration of FGF-7 for wound healing. In addition, 2-GHC-FD-8 is a suitable scaffold for wound healing. Therefore, we suggest that 2-GHC-FD-8/F3 is a useful wound dressing for accelerating wound healing.
