Analyze in the scientific literature what has been produced about the role of nurses in the treatment of chronic wounds. Literature review with a qualitative approach, carried out in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), Nursing Database (BDEnf). Ten articles were part of the sam-ple. We found technical weaknesses and general knowledge about the prevention, treatment and recovery of chronic wounds linked to academic training and some challenges for professionals to preserve their autonomy. If it is necessary to train nurses to make decisions, carry out procedures and manage their team, this preparation should start during graduation, making the professional develop skills to deal with the management of chronic skin lesions and improve critical capacity reflective. Objective: To identify from the scientific literature the Nursing care provided to people with obesity undergoing bariatric surgery. Method: Integrative literature review, searches were carried out from July to August/2021 in four databases: MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF and EMBASE. The research question was delimited through the PICo strategy, considering P - Patients with obesity; I - Nursing care; Co - Obese patients undergoing bariatric surgery. The following question was elaborated: "What are the main Nursing care in patients with obesity who underwent bariatric surgery?". Inclusion criteria primary articles that met the guiding question; available in full; during the period from 2016 to 2021; Portuguese, English and Spanish languages. Exclusion criteria gray literature, studies that did not respond to the guiding question. Search results were analyzed and interpreted. Results: 14 articles were included in the research synthesis. Analysis of the results showed that the Nursing care provided to people undergoing bariatric surgery was identified in the preoperative period: health education regarding the surgical procedure and possible complications; and in the postoperative period: guidelines for relieving anxiety. In the intraoperative period, care procedures were not mentioned. Conclusion: Considering, therefore, the presentation of results, the findings demonstrate the unequivocal need for and importance of incorporating new technologies in Nursing care; promote the training of skills and abilities of team members, in addition to carrying out new research that allows expanding the performance of the Nursing team in the care of patients undergoing bariatric surgery. Objective: reflect on the approach and influence of philosophical assumptions in the application of the nursing process in clinical practice. Methods: it is an article of theoretical reflection, for which scientific productions on Philosophy and nursing process published in national and international journals were used as basis. Results: from the analysis of scientific productions, the contributions of philosophical assumptions and critical thinking to the quality of the nursing process were identified; and the practical application of philosophy in the nursing process and challenges to be faced. Objective: To develop and validate an educational folder for use in people with Heart Failure. Methods: Study with a methodological approach for the elaboration of an educational folder and validation by experts. Technical specialists were nurses, cardiology specialists, who validated content and appearance; Specialist designers validated appearance, aesthetics and visual communication. The content validity index (IVC) was calculated; responses were consistent when Cronbach's alpha > 0.60 and the inter-rater agreement index (IRA) was calculated. Results: High agreement among nurses (ARI = 1), almost perfect internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.84), total and isolated CVI above 0.8. The booklet was considered valid. For graphic designers, the overall IVC achieved a value that guaranteed appearance validity. Conclusion: The educational booklet was validated by the judges and is presented as an instrument to assist in the preparation for discharge and long-term follow-up of patients with HF. Objective: to analyze comfort as a component of nursing care based on theoretical concepts available in the scientific nursing literature, reports of patients undergoing cancer treatment and nursing professionals. Methods: Descriptive and exploratory research with a qualitative approach, developed with hospitalized patients and professionals from the nursing staff of an oncology inpatient unit of a philanthropic hospital in Salvador. Data collection took place in November and December 2020, through semi-structured interviews, and their analysis was performed using Bardin's content analysis technique. Results: Comfort was conceptualized by the participants as well-being, welcoming and meeting basic human needs, resulting from nursing care in a holistic perspective. Conclusion: Among the basic human needs, comfort, often compromised in the therapeutic process, should receive due attention from Nursing. Therefore, it is essential to identify the discomforts caused by the illness and manifested by patients, seeking care strategies to reestablish the condition of comfort, as well as seeking to maintain the existing comfort. To characterize the scientific production about the perception of nursing professionals regarding care for HIV/AIDS carriers. This is an integrative review of the literature on the perception of nursing professionals regarding care for HIV/AIDS patients. In relation to the years 2013 and 2016, there was a greater number of publications on the subject, with 37.5% each. In the years 2011 and 2017, there was a lower number of publications, with a value of 12.5% each, and through the research carried out in the VHL, it was noticed that the Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem had a greater number of publications, with 37.5%. It was possible to observe the knowledge about the nursing problems that make their care difficult, and the importance of a more centered and human view in the care aimed at seropositive patients. To describe the experience of applying instruments that enable the effectiveness of the nursing process in elderly people with multimorbidities. This is an experience report on the application of the instrument from December 2021 to February 2022, to patients with morbidities using two forms, in which the first was associated with the patient's subjective data and nanda domains (2021 -2023), in which he elaborated nursing diagnoses, the second form addressed Orem's selfcare with different evaluation criteria for each item. The result presented several nursing diagnoses, which included Ineffective control of the therapeutic regimen, Willingness for increased control of the therapeutic regimen and Willingness for increased control of the therapeutic regimen, having results, intervention and evaluation of the study. It is concluded that the use of classification systems made it possible to establish the diagnoses, interventions and results of nursing, as well as allowing the active participation of the patient in his entire care plan. Taking into account the morbidity and mortality of patients with CKD in the ICU, the incidence of renal dysfunction in these patients, and the rate of progression to an end-stage, an integrated multidisciplinary effort should be advocated. The general objective of this study was to analyze the practice of nursing care for critically ill renal patients. An integrative literature review of articles collected in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and in the databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scielo, and Online System for Search and Analysis of Literature was carried out. Medical (MEDLINE). The research showed that nursing care in hemodialysis for patients in the ICU is related to handling the extracorporeal machine; vascular access and the patient. With this, professional nurses work in the handling, maintenance and control of the machine, carrying out the control of water and electrolytes, as well as the observation of complications that may arise. In this reflection we will bring to light the thought of the theoretician Jean Watson, seeking as main objective, to propose a theoretical reflection on empathy in nursing care and the Transpersonal Theory of Human Care by Jean Watson. This is a reflection study which is based on Jean Watson's Transpersonal Theory and how it directly impacts on the nurse's assistance practice. The ten Caritas Processes are presented, and each element of care proposed in theory, argues the value of empathy in daily nursing practice, it becomes relevant to rescue the valorization of theories in the training of health professionals, even after the completion of graduation. It can be seen that this reflection contributes to the debate on essential topics in the training and practice of nurses, such as nursing theories, empathy and the patient as the center of care. Objective: To validate the "PuerpérioSEGURO" application as a technology for postpartum bedside care. Methods: This is a methodological study of technological innovation and applied validation, based on the principles of Software Engineering, whose data collection was carried out in May 2020. A sample of 16 specialists was adopted, forming two commissions of judges, eight with expertise in the field of midwifery nursing to validate the interfaces, and eight with expertise in the computer area to validate the system. The data were submitted to descriptive statistics and expressed through the Content Validity Index (CVI), considering items ≥ 0.8 of agreement to be adequate. Results: In the case of the set of interfaces, four parameters subdivided into 10 sub-items were evaluated by the nursing judges, obtaining a general agreement of 1.0. The computer judges evaluated the system set in six parameters subdivided into 16 sub-items, reaching a general agreement of 0.92. Conclusion: The mobile application achieved excellent validity of interfaces and systems among the judges, requiring further studies of practical interaction with an institutional web service. The aim of this study was to map the predictive clinical factors of Oxaliplatin-induced Peripheral Sensory Neuropathy. For that, a systematic review was carried out, based on the recommendations of the PRISMA guideline. The PICO strategy was also used to formulate the research question and guide the search in the databases: PubMed, Embase, Scopus, BVS/IBECS and CINAHL. 26 publications were selected for final analysis and inclusion in the review. The publications were classified according to the level of evidence and degree of recommendation, according to the JBI system. In the analysis of the publications, 15 predictive factors were mapped, with greater emphasis on the cumulative dose of Oxaliplatin used. The recognition of clinical predictive factors for Peripheral Sensory Neuropathy, regardless of the precocity that can be done, are important for the development of measurable strategies in the exercise of collaborative and multidimensional care. Determine the profile of patients with chronic venous ulcers in a basic health unit and to evaluate the applicability of inelastic compression therapy in the management of UVC. Exploratory, quantitative and retrospective study. Data were collected from medical records. 44 patients were analyzed, of these 20 wore Unna's boots. Men predominated (55%). The average age was 67.9 years for men and 71.6 years for women. The prevalent comorbidities were systemic arterial hypertension and Diabetes. Inelastic Compressive Therapy, through the Unna boot, can decisively contribute to the healing and healing of Chronic Venous Ulcers. The most prevalent comorbidity was systemic arterial hypertension followed by diabetes. Vasculogenic lesions of venous origin in our country and in the world, since they still cause a series of health problems and a direct interference in people's quality of life. Objective: To build an educational booklet for guidance in the care of Graft Against Host Disease in patients undergoing Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation. Methods: Methodological research, divided into three stages. In the first, an integrative literature review was carried out, in the second stage, the care guidelines for post-transplant patients were raised in specialized manuals and websites, and in the third stage, semi-structured interviews identified nursing care guided by professionals. experts, active in Bone Marrow Transplant Service. After these steps and unification of care, an educational booklet was built, with the help of the Canva program and support from a marketing professional. Results: The booklet uses visual aids and consists of guidelines organized according to the organ affected by the complication, such as skin, gastrointestinal tract, lung, mouth, eye, among others. As skin care is mentioned: avoid exposure to the sun; daily use of sunscreen; use of cotton clothes and long sleeves; attention to the appearance of body itching. Conclusion: The integration of evidence found in the literature, information from renowned websites and the experience of specialist nurses allowed the production of support material for the guidelines for care, carried out by nurses, corroborating the health education process. Objective: To analyze the degree of knowledge of the nursing team about hemotherapy and immediate transfusion reaction. Methods: Cross-sectional, analytical, quantitative study carried out with nursing professionals from the Intensive Care Unit of a reference hospital in the brazilian Northeast, through the application of a semi-structured instrument, from March to April 2020. The knowledge score was obtained by the Multiple Correspondence Analysis and the Monte Carlo median comparison test. Results: Of the 32 participants, eight were nurses and 24 nursing technicians. Most did not receive training on hemotherapy 24 (75%) and did not feel qualified to act in an immediate transfusion reaction 22 (68.8%). As for the degree of knowledge, we found that nurses (median 77.7) had better scores compared to technicians (median 77,7 vs. 33,8; p=0,04). It was also identified that the age group 18 to 40 years old had a better result in relation to the age group 40 or older (median 62,7 vs. 25,5; p=0,01). Conclusion: It was verified the importance of nursing professionals to participate in training on the administration of blood components and blood products, aiming to improve the quality of care and maintenance of the patient safety protocol. Objective: To describe nurses' perceptions do care provided to newborns with neonatal jaundice. Methods: A descriptive, qualitative study, developed with 18 nurses from a highly complex Public Maternity Hospital located at Belém, Pará. The data were produced through individual interviews, using a semi-structured script, later submitted to thematic content analysis. Results: Thus, the analysis led to the organization of three thematic categories, called: "Nurses' knowledge about neonatal jaundice", "The importance of continuing education on neonatal jaundice" and "The need to elaborate a care protocol on neonatal jaundice". Conclusion: Through the study, nurses' perceptions of neonatal jaundice were identified, demonstrating that they had knowledge about the disorder, its complications, adequate assistance and the importance of family guidance, but also showed the absence of permanent education activities, aimed at updating nurses, and a care protocol that could subsidize the care provided. The term care derives from the Latin "cogitatu", referring to something thought and imagined, to dedication and zeal. Health care permeates the theoretical and practical model, considering the individual as a whole and not only the health-disease process, and has been identified as an object of nursing. In this context, the importance of ethics for health self-care is discussed, moving away from the hegemony of the normative referents that dictate how relationships should be in the field of health, taking as a theoretical reference the analysis of ethics, knowledge and power realized by the philosopher Michel Foucault. In this sense, it is essential that there is clear and effective communication between these actors, so that the care is carried out effectively. Therefore, it is increasingly important to discuss these processes of nursing care practice, ethics, humanization and communication, so that more knowledge can be acquired on the subject and thus understand its importance. Objective: To report the construction of a technology to guide the nursing team in relation to the preparation and administration of injectable drugs used in the hospital context. Methods: Descriptive study, of the experience report type, with a methodological approach on the development of a process technology for the preparation and administration of injectable drugs, following three methodological steps: situational diagnosis; literature reviews; elaboration of texts, illustrations, layout and design. Results: Educational, care and management changes related to risk management and nursing care management were brought about. Conclusion: The work was in accordance with the World Health Organization when developing technology to strengthen the health system, went beyond the initial objective of guiding nursing and went on to reach other professional categories. Objective: To report the experience of an interdisciplinary team in the implementation of the Intraoperative Blood Recovery technique in a public trauma care service. Methods: Descriptive study, of the experience report type, developed at Instituto Dr. José Frota, Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. Results: The technique was implemented in the second half of 2015 at the trauma hospital, and the experience allowed listing the activities of the technique's implementation, such as the availability of equipment, materials and trained professionals; classes and lectures aimed at clinical staff and anesthesiology residents; identification of surgeries with potential benefit; direct nursing approach to surgeons in the operating room; systematic dissemination of the availability of the method and the results obtained in the hospital, with the support of the surgical leadership; creation of a communication strategy at the interface between nurses, surgeons and anesthetists; and expansion of the team of nurses to provide 24-hour care. Conclusion: The implementation of the Intraoperative Blood Recovery technique in the trauma hospital allowed identifying criteria for its use and making this blood conservation strategy available for all procedures with potential benefit, expanding its use in a systematic way. Objective: To identify nursing diagnoses in puerperal women registered in a Basic Health Unit through the International Classification for Nursing Practice. Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, carried out with 12 puerperal women in a Basic Health Unit. Results: The most frequent diagnoses identified were: Ability to perform impaired leisure activity (83.3%); Low self-esteem (50%); Impaired sleep (50%); Sleep deprivation (50%) and Pain (50%). Conclusion: Leisure is highlighted as the main affected need and the capacity to perform impaired leisure activity as the most frequent diagnosis. We conclude that the puerperium can be considered a period of vulnerability for women and that nursing care in the puerperium involves psychosocial aspects more than biological ones. To analyze the opinion of students of the technical nursing course on the inclusion of content related to care for the elderly durig the training of the Nursing Technician. A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical research carried out with 334 students enrolled in a Nursing Technician course. Social and learning variables about care for the elderly were investigated. Predominance of females, between 16 to 18 years of age, single, without children, living with their parents; 82.6 % were in favor of including content on care for the elderly in the training of nursing technicians. The prevalence of brown students in favor of including content on care for the elderly was higher than white students; higher among students who live with their parents and who do not work. Study participants confirmed the absence of content on care for the elderly in the training of nursing technicians, however they expressed interest in their inclusion [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Describe a new way of bathing in bed in intensive care patients and analyze the cost of this technology. Descriptive, prospective, cost assessment study. Convenience sample of 18 patients in the immediate postoperative period of cardiac surgery, with data collection within 72 h after surgery. In this technique, a vial of distilled water heated in a microwave oven is used. The bottle is pierced with a hypodermic needle and used to spray the patient before and after being soaped, simulating a portable shower. The average bath time was 30.17 ± 12.24 minutes and the identified cost was R $ 25.19 (US $ 4.99). This type of bath has a lower cost than the traditional bed bath in intensive care patients, contributing to cost management. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
