FORMAÇÃO TÉCNICA DE ENFERMAGEM: INCLUSÃO TEÓRICA/CIENTÍFICA SOBRE O ENVELHECIMENTO.

To analyze the opinion of students of the technical nursing course on the inclusion of content related to care for the elderly durig the training of the Nursing Technician. A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical research carried out with 334 students enrolled in a Nursing Technician course. Social and learning variables about care for the elderly were investigated. Predominance of females, between 16 to 18 years of age, single, without children, living with their parents; 82.6 % were in favor of including content on care for the elderly in the training of nursing technicians. The prevalence of brown students in favor of including content on care for the elderly was higher than white students; higher among students who live with their parents and who do not work. Study participants confirmed the absence of content on care for the elderly in the training of nursing technicians, however they expressed interest in their inclusion [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
