3. Galangin mitigates glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis by activating autophagy of BMSCs via triggering the PKA/CREB signaling pathway

Abstract

Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP), one of the most common and serious adverse effects associated with glucocorticoid administration, manifests as decreased bone formation and increased bone resorption, eventually culminating in bone loss. Galangin (GAL) is a flavonoid extracted from the medicinal herbal galangal that possesses a variety of pharmacological activities and can inhibit osteoclastogenesis. However, the effects of GAL on GIOP remain unclear. Our study aims to explore the effects of GAL on GIOP in mice and the underlying mechanism. Our results show that GAL markedly mitigates the severity of dexamethasone (Dex)-induced osteoporosis in mice and potentiates osteogenic differentiation in mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). Furthermore, GAL also significantly counteracts Dex-mediated suppression of osteogenic differentiation and autophagy in human BMSCs. GAL augments PKA/CREB-mediated autophagic flux in BMSCs and the bones of osteoporotic mice. GAL-mediated osteogenic differentiation in Dex-treated BMSCs is significantly decreased by the PKA inhibitor H89 and autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine. Collectively, our data indicate that GAL can ameliorate GIOP, partly by augmenting the mineralization of BMSCs by potentiating PKA/CREB-mediated autophagic flux, highlighting its potential therapeutic use in treating glucocorticoid-related osteoporosis.

Abstract

The paper introduces the main technical parameters and characteristic advantages of ZDY3500JD full hydraulic rubber wheel drill, emphatically introduces the industrial test in Buertai Coal Mine. After nearly 3 months of industrial tests, we completed 4 times of long-distance field transfer and 13 boreholes for water and coal exploration. Through the field test, the design rationality, relocation convenience, operation reliability and adaptability of the overall structure of the drilling rig were verified, which reached the expected research and development goals and design requirements, and was suitable for the requirements of the trackless transportation of mine underground rapid transfer and construction.

Abstract

The multi-purpose trackless rubber platform and its hydraulic system have been researched and developed for coal mines. The special integrated frame was designed. Other components were connected with the frame by bolts, which is easy to be maintained. Based on the needs of working conditions in coal mine, through the comparative analysis of the demands and characteristics of conditions in the mine, the applicable full hydraulic systems were researched and developed. Through the analysis of working conditions and driving system, a full hydraulic braking scheme suitable for rubber vehicle was proposed. After assembling and debugging, the simulation test was carried out on the ground. The results show that the equipment has strong maneuverability, which has advantages of maximum width of 1.5 m, maximum speed of 20 km/h, steering flexibility and braking safety. The drilling and anchoring equipments can be installed on the cargo platform for corresponding construction work, or the cargo box can be installed for material handling.

15. AirSOD: A Lightweight Network for RGB-D Salient Object Detection

Abstract

Salient object detection (SOD) aims to identify the most prominent regions in images. However, the large model sizes, high computational costs, and slow inference speeds of existing RGB-D SOD models have hindered their deployment on real-world embedded devices. To address this issue, we propose a novel method named AirSOD, which is committed to lightweight RGB-D SOD. Specifically, we first design a hybrid feature extraction network, which includes the first three stages of MobileNetV2 and our Parallel Attention-Shift convolution (PAS) module. Using the novel PAS module enables capturing both long-range dependencies and local information to enhance the representation learning while significantly reducing the number of parameters and computational complexity. Secondly, we propose a Multi-level and Multi-modal feature Fusion (MMF) module to facilitate feature fusion, and a Multi-path enhancement for Feature Refinement (MFR) decoder for feature integration. The proposed method significantly reduces the model size by 63%, decreases the computational complexity by 43%, and improves the inference speed by 43% compared with the cutting-edge model (MobileSal). We test our AirSOD on six widely-used RGB-D SOD datasets. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method obtains satisfactory performance. The source codes will be made available.

Abstract

A Mo-S-C multicomponent film is prepared by ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD) combined with low temperature ion sulfurization. The microstructural analyses and the tribological performance are performed on the scanning electron microscope (SEM), three-dimensional white profile meter, Raman spectrum, Nano-hardness tester and UMT friction tester. The result shows that the composite structure, composed of strengthening phase nanocrystallites MoC1-x and lubricative MoS2, FeS, which uniformly dispersed in the amorphous C matrix, is the crucial factor of the excellent tribological performance.

Abstract

In order to solve the brake safety problem accompanying the rubber wheel drilling machine walking under the coal mine, it is designed that a full hydraulic wet braking system, and its working principle and design scheme of the whole system are analyzed. Adopting the idea of redundant design, starting from the hydrostatic closed system and the mechanical wet brake, the system meets the requirements of working conditions. For the problem of unstable parking brake pressure, a detailed calculation is performed, preferably an accumulator group. The test results show that the whole system has high parking torque, stable pressure relief, safe and reliable driving brake performance, rapid response, and braking distance less than 5m, which meets the requirements in coal mine.

Abstract

Aiming at the current situation that the coal-rock interface identification in the coal mining process is difficult to realize, the solution of predictive algorithm to realize the locus prediction of the shearer is proposed, so that the intelligent control of the shearer is realized. The gray Markov chain predictive model based on sliding window is proposed due to the small number of data samples in the process of locus prediction of the shearer. The model has the characteristics of relatively simple algorithm, ability to respond to random events, high prediction accuracy and fast calculation speed. Through the simulation experiment, the sliding window width was determined and the predictive algorithm was verified at the same time. The simulation experiment results indicated that the predictive algorithm has fast response speed and high prediction accuracy, which is suitable for practical applications.

Abstract

The working environment of coal mine roadway has become more severe with the extension of the depth of coal mine roadway. Therefore, there is a higher demand for the size and performance of trackless rubber tire vehicles. The rubber wheel drilling rig developed in combination with the actual needs of coal mine roadway. Based on the detailed calculation and comparison of the two schemes, the applicable drive hydraulic system is proposed. On this basis, the advantages in use are analyzed. Through theoretical analysis, the key parameters affecting the differential and differential problems are proposed. The applicable solutions for the two coal mines are studied, and a more suitable scheme is selected through comparison. The static and dynamic test results show that the system has good operation performance and high efficiency under the condition of limited volume of the rubber drilling rig, which makes it have high passability and stability.
