7. L’immaginazione ludica come facoltà conoscitiva

Abstract

Siamo soliti connettere l’immaginazione al gioco infantile, ma spesso utilizziamo questo termine come sinonimo di fantasia o creatività. Il contributo si propone di amplificare la comprensione del termine immaginazione, descrivendola come una facoltà conoscitiva a tutti gli effetti (Durand 1963-1995; Bachelard 1960-1993; Wunenburger, 1995-2007). Se l’immaginazione è una facoltà eminentemente ludica, è perché i suoi caratteri sono familiari al mondo del gioco, poiché si nutrono di trasformazioni, travestimenti, sfide, invenzioni, immedesimazioni. Tale facoltà è particolarmente attiva nel periodo infantile, ma può permanere nel corso di tutta l’esistenza, soprattutto se valorizzata e stimolata (Florenskij, 2015; Winnicott, 1971-2001). Scopo di una educazione sensibile all’immaginazione consiste quindi nel non sedare o temperare questa attitudine con la crescita, ma al contrario alimentarla e arricchirla in ogni momento della vita, conferendole un valore conoscitivo al pari di quello razionale, oggi riconosciuto come dominio esclusivo o quantomeno prioritario della conoscenza. L’immaginazione infatti, e il gioco come una delle sue espressioni più peculiari, sono funzioni gnoseologiche per conoscere il mondo attraverso la rappresentazione, l’interpretazione e la trasformazione delle sue forme, dinamiche, relazioni. L’immaginazione infatti, lungi dall’essere una fantasticheria - e Bettelheim distoglie la medesima accusa dal gioco (1987-1990) - è un modo per conoscere più in profondità, grazie alle immagini e ai simboli che sono portatori di un sapere più integro e complesso rispetto alle nozioni e ai concetti. Il gioco diviene quindi la via regia per rendere ragione del potere trasformativo e formativo delle immagini per la cultura umana.

Abstract

Dolia are large pottery containers used in Roman times for the storage and fermentation of wine. They were produced in specialized pottery workshops (figlinae) and were typically marked with specific epigraphical stamps, which represent a major tool to unravel their provenance and trade. In this work we present the preliminary results of a study of two dolia defossa, recently found at San Giovanni (Portoferraio, island of Elba, Italy) during 2012-2014 archaeological excavations in a Roman farm (late 2nd cent. BC-1st cent. AD), devoted to wine production and probably constituting the antecedent archaeological phase of the adjacent "Villa delle Grotte". Based on archaeological (epigraphic) evidence, five different production areas have been hypothesized: 1) Elba island, where the dolia have been found; 2) the municipal figlinae in the Pisa territory; 3) the middle catchment of the Tiber river (central Latium) where "urban" figlinae occurred; 4) the figlinae of Minturno (southern Latium), a locality known both for wine production and exportation and for the presence of ancient figlinae; 5) the municipal figlinae in the Volterra territory. Archaeometric analysis of tempering agents intentionally added to the clay for the manufacturing of the dolia, particularly magmatic lithic fragments and clinopyroxene crystals, allowed us to suggest that the watershed of the central Tiber Valley - including different volcanic centres belonging to both Tuscany Magmatic Province (Monti Cimini) and Roman Magmatic Province (Monti Vulsini and Vico volcano) - could have been the most likely sites of production of the dolia found at San Giovanni. Alternatively, the site of Minturno (southern Latium) could be proposed.

Abstract

Uterine malignancies account for the majority of gynaecologic cancers. Different treatment options are available depending on histology, disease grade and stage. Hysterectomy is the most frequent surgical procedure. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy (CRT) represents the preferred therapeutic choice for locally advanced uterine and cervical malignancies. Imaging of the female pelvis following these treatments is particularly challenging due to alteration of the normal anatomy. Radiologists should be familiar with both the expected post-treatment imaging findings and the imaging features of possible complications to make the correct interpretation and avoid possible pitfalls. The purpose of this review is to show the expected computed tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) appearances of the female pelvis following surgery and CRT for uterine and cervical cancer, to illustrate the imaging findings of early and delayed most common complications after surgery and CRT, describing the suitable imaging modalities and protocols for evaluation of patients treated for gynaecologic malignancies.

The author analyzes, from the Second World War, the debate around school reform born on the pages of «Rinascita». The protagonists were scholars of the caliber of Marchesi L. Lombardo Radice, Banfi and enlargement of the main issues focused around education for the working classes as a means of social ascent (and here he became interested Lombardo Radice). They discussed also the opportunity to bring the school post primary the model of classical humanistic culture or adapt to technical requirements of the manufacturing world. Abstract

Hemichorea-Hemiballism (HCHB) is a hyperkinetic condition characterized by abnormal, migratory, continuous, non-patterned movements of one side of the body. It results from involvement of contralateral basal ganglia that may be affected by metabolic, neoplastic, infectious, autoimmune [1], toxic or neurodegenerative processes [2]. The most common cause is ischemia from a focal vascular lesion [3]. Non-ketotic hyperglycemia has been reported as the second most common cause of HCHB in the Asian population [4]. It is usually seen in the elderly and has a female preponderance. The average reported age is 73 years. HCHB has been reported in patients with chronic diabetes and also in those with new onset hyperglycemia [5-7]. We describe a patient with HCHB in the setting of poorly controlled chronic diabetes, who also demonstrated basal ganglia atrophy on follow-up imaging. Basal ganglia atrophy in HCHB secondary to hyperglycemia is rarely reported.

Abstract

We conducted a meta-analysis of Parkinson's disease genome-wide association studies using a common set of 7,893,274 variants across 13,708 cases and 95,282 controls. Twenty-six loci were identified as having genome-wide significant association; these and 6 additional previously reported loci were then tested in an independent set of 5,353 cases and 5,551 controls. Of the 32 tested SNPs, 24 replicated, including 6 newly identified loci. Conditional analyses within loci showed that four loci, including GBA, GAK-DGKQ, SNCA and the HLA region, contain a secondary independent risk variant. In total, we identified and replicated 28 independent risk variants for Parkinson's disease across 24 loci. Although the effect of each individual locus was small, risk profile analysis showed substantial cumulative risk in a comparison of the highest and lowest quintiles of genetic risk (odds ratio (OR) = 3.31, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 2.55-4.30; P = 2 × 10-16). Occorre esercitare, attraverso l'osservazione accurata e paziente di opere simboliche, questa facoltà vitale, per l'uomo e il suo ambiente. In questo senso il ruolo dell'arte, sotto il profilo formativo, è nevralgico.

Abstract

Sardinien, Korsika, Samos und auch Korinth - aufgrund weit reichender Handels - kontakte galt Populonia bereits unter den Etruskern als wichtiger Verkehrsknotenpunkt im Mittelmeerraum. Doch nicht nur das: Ab dem 6. Jh. entwickelte sich die Stadt zu einem der bedeutendsten Zentren für Eisenverarbeitung. Nun wurden Reste der einst riesigen Schlackenhalden untersucht, die Interessantes zur antiken Metallindustrie Populonias preisgaben.

Abstract

Il contributo approfondisce la dimensione della cura, con particolare riguardo alla cura nei contesti educativi e alla cura come dimensione essenziale dell'esperienza educativa, a partire dal concetto heideggeriano di Cura. Ne sottolinea quindi la problematicità, riprendendo e approfondendo il concetto dell'aver cura degli altri, nella sua possibilità di essere "cura autentica" e "cura inautentica". Declinando questi concetti in relazione all'esperienza educativa, il contributo tematizza l'esigenza di porre alla base della cura educativa, e quindi dell'"aver cura delle persone", l'"aver cura dell'esperienza educativa", in quanto attenzione che può orientare al raggiungimento di una cura educativa autentica.

Abstract

Il testo sviluppa alcune riflessioni sulla scrittura come medium cognitivo, esaminando l'esperienza della scrittura in università, e in particolare come prova d'esame in due corsi: Psicopedagogia della famiglia e Psicologia della relazione educativa. Corsi nei quali si cerca non solo di trasmettere un patrimonio di idee e metodi, ma di portare gli studenti a sviluppare un pensiero autonomo, critico, responsabile, riflessivo. L'elaborato scritto, creato dallo studente come opera del suo pensiero, è una vera sfida per gli studenti di Scienze dell'Educazione. L'evoluzione della prova, in tre fasi distinte, testimonia dei passaggi di comprensione effettuati dall'autrice/docente: la scrittura non è per lo studente un medium abituale, ma un traguardo difficile. L'accompagnamento pedagogico alla scrittura si rende dunque necessario. L'obiettivo è apprendere, e la premessa è che scrivendo si impara in modo diverso, più riflessivo e personale. La scrittura è anche un antidoto al sapere codificato, strutturato, che la scrittura stessa produce. Un modo per aprire pensabilità.

Item does not contain fulltext, Mutations in the proteolipid protein 1 (PLP1) gene cause the X-linked dysmyelinating diseases Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD) and spastic paraplegia 2 (SPG2). We examined the severity of the following mutations that were suspected of affecting levels of PLP1 and DM20 RNA, the alternatively spliced products of PLP1: c.453G>A, c.453G>T, c.453G>C, c.453+2T>C, c.453+4A>G, c.347C>A, and c.453+28_+46del (the old nomenclature did not include the methionine codon: G450A, G450T, G450C, IVS3+2T>C, IVS3+4A>G, C344A, and IVS3+28-+46del). These mutations were evaluated by information theory-based analysis and compared with mRNA expression of the alternatively spliced products. The results are discussed relative to the clinical severity of disease. We conclude that the observed PLP1 and DM20 splicing patterns correlated well with predictions of information theory-based analysis, and that the relative strength of the PLP1 and DM20 donor splice sites plays an important role in PLP1 alternative splicing.

Abstract

Il capitolo esamina le condizioni dell'ascolto nel lavoro educativo e clinico, in particolare quando si utilizzano storie di vita e autobiografie. L'ascolto è definito come un fenomeno che non riguarda un soggetto isolato, capace di ascoltare "a priori", ma come un processo che vede coinvolti due o più individui in interazione, e che dunque avviene nello spazio della relazione. L'ascolto viene ricondotto a due attività proprie dell'umano, e cioè l'auto-osservazione e la meta-comunicazione. Vengono inoltre esplorate alcune metafore relazionali che definiscono altrettante tipologie d'ascolto.

Abstract

Microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) has been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders including forms of parkinsonism and Parkinson disease (PD). We evaluated the association of the MAPTregion with PD in a large cohort of familial PD cases recruited by the GenePD Study. In addition, postmortem brain samples from patients with PD and neurologically normal controls were used to evaluate whether the expression of the 3-repeat and 4-repeat isoforms of MAPT, and neighboring genes Saitohin (STH) and KIAA1267, are altered in PD cerebellum.

Abstract

Polymorphisms in the glutathione S-transferase pi gene (GSTP1), encoding GSTP1-1, a detoxification enzyme, may increase the risk of Parkinson disease (PD) with exposure to pesticides. Using the GenePD Study sample of familial PD cases, we explored whether GSTP1polymorphisms were associated with the age at onset of PD symptoms and whether that relation was modified by exposure to herbicides.
