The structure of the title compound, C15H8N4Cl2F6OS, a phenylpyrazole-based insecticide related to ethiprole, fipronil, and derivatives thereof is presented. The pyrazole ring has four chemically diverse substituents, namely a nitrogen-bound 2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl and carbon-bound cyano, ethylsulfanyl, and 2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide groups. The pyrazole and phenyl rings are perpendicular, subtending a dihedral angle of 89.80 (5)°. In the crystal, strong N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains that extend parallel to the a-axis.

Altitude training is to enhance training performance. The fundamental theory behind altitude training in that, by exposing an athlete to an environmental that is low in oxygen, (Hypoxic), the body will eventually adapt and improve its efficiency (acclimatized). In volley ball it is necessary to clarify the effect of altitude training on hematological variables, increased oxygen intake, fitness factor, molecular adaptations, and genetic adaptations acclimatization. The main objective of altitude training and team sport is to present cutting –edge research on the basic & applied aspects of altitude training to enhance match related performance in team sport. Exercise and training in hypoxic environment includes neuromuscular metabolic and cardiac vascular adaption. Despite the limited research on the effects of altitude (or hypoxic) training interventions on team-sport performance, players from all around the world engaged in these sports are now using altitude training more than ever before. In March 2013, an Altitude Training and Team Sports conference was held in Doha, Qatar, to establish a forum of research and practical insights into this rapidly growing field.

Aim and objective: This study aims to compare the efficacy of root canal cleanliness using hand instrumentation and ultrasonic handpiece under the scanning electron microscope. Materials and Methods: Forty five central incisor were collected and access opening was done. cleaning and shaping of all the samples were done with three different groups 1- Ultrasonic file. group-2 with Hand files and Group-3 were prepared with Ultrasonic + hand files and debris and smear layer were evaluated with SEM . Results: Group 1 (ultrasonic) removed smear layer superiorly, followed by Group 3 (ultrasonic/hand instrumentation) and Group 2 (hand instrumentation), and Group 3 (ultrasonic/hand instrumentation) showed superior cleanliness of debris followed by Group 1 (ultrasonic) and Group 2 (hand instrumentation). Conclusion: (1) At the apical, middle, and coronal third level for removal of debris, Group 3 showed superior cleanliness followed by Group 1 and Group 2. (2) At the apical, middle, and coronal third level for removal of smear layer, Group 1 showed superior cleanliness followed by Group 3 and Group 2.

In medicinal chemistry, nitrogen atom containing molecules have gained a lot of attention as they possess diverse biological properties. Dihydropyrimidinone is one such pharmacologically important molecule possessing several properties such as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, antipyretic, anti-depressant, anti-tumor etc. A series of substituted dihydropyrimidinone derivatives have been synthesized via classical Biginelli condensation reaction using 4-fluorobenzaldehyde, urea and ethyl acetoacetate with chloroacetic acid as catalyst. The formed dihydropyrimidinone esters were subjected to oxidation using 60% nitric acid. These oxidized esters were then chlorinated using POCl3 via functional group conversion of C=O to C-Cl on the dihydropyrimidinone moiety. Later, different amino acids and amine groups were fused to the chloro substituted pyrimidine using potassium carbonate as base and DMF as the solvent to synthesis a series of eight novel derivatives. The compounds were obtained with good yield and were structurally characterized using 1H NMR and LC-MS. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive bacteria) and Escherichia coli (Gram negative bacteria) using Agar Well Diffusion method.

The synthesis of (2S,3S,4S)-N-benzyl-3-hydroxy 4-methyl proline and its stereoisomer (2R,3R,4S)-N-benzyl-3-hydroxy 4-methyl proline has been achieved starting with the conjugate addition of methyl methacrolate and benzylamine. The other key reactions performed in our strategy include enzymatic separation of an α-methyl β-amino alcohol, Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation of an α,β-unsaturated δ-amino ester, and intramolecular cyclization of a sulfonate to a pyrrolidine ring system. Two stereoisomers were synthesized from the common α,β-unsaturated δ-amino ester intermediate. This protocol is simple, straightforward, efficient, highly stereoselective, and economically viable.

In this paper, Bootstrap Aggregation (Bagging) ensemble learning technique was implemented using Sequential Minimal Optimization (SMO) with polynomial kernel in order to improve the classification accuracy during automated evaluation of descriptive answers. The performances obtained through bagging were recorded on five datasets each with 900 training samples and with each of the datasets treated using Symmetric Uncertainty Feature Selection filter. The performances obtained with bagging implementation were quantitatively analyzed in comparison with performances obtained with a plain simple application of SMO - Polynomial kernel on the datasets. Accuracy, F Score, Kappa and Area under ROC curve were used as model evaluation metrics. Based on the results, a conclusion was derived that Bagging with SMO-polynomial kernel classifier did not yield better accuracies when compared with classification accuracies obtained from SMO - Polynomial kernel. It was observed that, with bagging better Area Under the ROC curves were obtained signifying that prediction confidence of the models were improved.

BACKGROUND: Exposure to noise beyond prescribed limits of WHO in terms of intensity and duration results in temporary and in a few permanent loss of hearing acuity. The effect of traffic noise in Police personnel of Kurnool city was assessed by questionnaire. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Seventy traffic police personnel posted in various traffic junctions of Kurnool City were asked to fill a questionnaire related to their hearing acuity. Ambient noise Levels at important traffic junctions were measured using portable precision digital sound level meter (Lutron - Model SL4010). RESULTS: Irritation and problem in hearing in the crowd was the main complaints seen in 27.14% of the study subjects. RTC bus stand recorded the highest value of 109.6dB. CONCLUSION: Legal framework should be imposed to maintain the noise levels in traffic within acceptable levels. We could find a new 5 year periodicity in the occurrences of peaks in sunspot activity and inferred deviations of annual Indian monsoon rainfall variations from the normal during the Maunder minimum (MM) period. This result is explained in terms of solar dynamo functioning in a different mode from normal during the MM where quadrupole field (first harmonic, 5-5.5 years) dominate over dipole field (fundamental, 11 years) causing extreme north south asymmetry in sunspot activity.

Alumina–20 vol% zirconia (12 mol% ceria) composite powder has been extruded using boehmite (AlOOH) as an extrusion aid. A higher order of homogeneity of the constituent phases has been achieved in this work by controlling the pH of flocculation at 8.5. Sintering was carried out at 1600°C. The microstructural evaluation confirms uniform distribution of different phases throughout the specimen. The possibility of boehmite being used as extrusion aid to alumina based ceramics is highlighted.

Security features must be addressed when escalating a distributed database. The choice between the object oriented and the relational data model, several factors should be considered. The most important of these factors are single and multilevel access controls (MAC), protection and integrity maintenance. While determining which distributed database replica will be more secure for a particular function, the choice should not be made exclusively on the basis of available security features. One should also query the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of these characteristics. In this paper, the security strengths and weaknesses of both database models and the thorough problems initiate in the distributed environment are conversed.

Monohydroxy aluminium oxide (Boehmite, AlOOH) has been used as an extrusion aid along with α-alumina and γ-alumina particulates. Extended ball milling of the mixture using alumina grinding media imparts nucleating seeds to boehmite for an early conversion to α-alumina. The boehmite-γ-alumina mixture appears to result in a denser alumina ceramic accompanied by an enhanced grain growth indicating the higher reactivity at higher temperatures compared to the boehmite-α-alumina system. The reason for this novel behaviour is probably the coating of nanosize boehmite containing nucleating sites on the porous γ-alumina powders resulting in enhanced diffusion reactions. The present study therefore provides scope for low temperature alumina ceramics using boehmite binder along with partly dehydroxylated aluminium hydroxide.

The Andman and Nicobar archipelago comprises of about 556 small and big islands covering an area of 8493 sq. kms in the Bay of Bengal. The very remoteness of these islands from the mainland has preserved their pristine environment and spectacular natural beauty. The Andman and Nicobar Administration is going for major developmental projects to cope with the increasing needs of the people, which ultimately results in significant changes in environmental quality. This paper describes the existing environmental quality around Port Blair city, which will give baseline scenario to assess the environmental impacts due to developments in the future.In order to monitor the air quality of the region, sampling stations were selected based on the locations of various industries and domestic activities. Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM), Sulphur dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) were monitored for a period of one month during winter season. In addition, micrometeorological data, viz. wind speed and direction were also recorded and analysed to obtain the representative meteorological scenario of the air basin. The monitored values of ambient air quality was found to be within the NAAQ standards of India.Similarly, noise levels were also measured at various locations viz., residential areas, commercial centres, villages, stone quarry sites and construction sites. Noise levels were found to exceed the standards at stone quarry, construction sites and other locations.Water quality studies were carried out with respect to surface and ground water. The various physico- chemical and bacteriological parameters were analysed. It was observed that the physico-chemical parameters of surface and ground water lie within the standards stipulated for Indian subcontinent except for heavy metals which exceed the limits in ground water samples. Bacteriological analysis of sea water and ground water indicate that they are contaminated with faecal matters. Further, the ground water can be used for drinking purposes only after adequate treatment.

High-density 10 mol% ceria-zirconia ceramic has been fabricated by extrusion of ceramic-polymer mixtures. The basic composite powder mixture has an average particle size of 3·5 μm and a tap density of 1976 kg/m3. The torque rheological features of various ceramic-polymer (polyethylene base) combinations were examined using a Brabender Plasticorder. The mixture containing 51 vol% (86·5 wt%) ceramic with a mixing torque value of 40 N m has been extruded to make 8-mm rods at 120°C. The initial extrusion torque of 240 N m slowly came down to 180 N m. The samples after debinding over a temperature ranging up to 600°C were further sintered to high densities at around 1450°C, and were then found to have uniformly distributed grains with an average particle size of about 4 μm. The details of variation in rheological properties of the ceramic-polymer mixtures with extrusion temperature, packing of ceramic phase, bebinding properties, densification characteristics and microstructural features are presented and are compared with the features of a uniaxially pressed sample.

Urea derivatives (III) (9 examples) demonstrate moderate to good inhibitory activity against human leukemic cell lines.

The methanol extract obtained from the fruits of Cassia fistula L. inhibited the 5-lipoxygenase catalysed formation of leukotriene B 4 in bovine polymorphonuclear leukocytes with an IC 50 value of 38 μg/mL. Also, lipid peroxidation in bovine brain phospholipid liposomes induced with 2,2'-azo-bis-(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH) was inhibited with an IC 50 value of 40 μg/mL. A linear correlation was obtained between the effects of the extract in the two kinds of assays suggesting a redox-based mechanism for the inhibition of the 5-lipoxygenase enzyme.

Bi-based superconducting shapes were fabricated by extrusion of ceramic-polymer mixture involving a solgel derived superconductor and in situ polymerized polymethylmethacrylate as binder. The powder was intimately mixed with methylmethacrylate monomer and polymerized in the presence of other organic additives such as butylbenzyl phthalate, phosphate ester and benzoyl peroxide. The viscous mass was then extruded to wires 3mm in diameter and 25mm in length. They were heat-treated at controlled rates for binder burn out and sintering at 840°C for 20h. Zone melting refining was carried out on the sintered samples in a three-zone furnace at a controlled speed of 30mm per hour for introducing texture. The surface morphology of starting powder and microstructure of fractured surface of sintered and textured wires are presented and compared.

A graph G is decomposable into subgraphs G1, G2, . . . , Gn of G if no Gi (i = 1, 2, . . . , n) has isolated vertices and the edge set E(G) can be partitioned into the subsets E(G1), E(G2), . . . , E(Gn). If Gi ∼= P4 for all i, then G is called P4-decomposable. In this paper, we show the P4-decomposability of some classes of graphs, and prove in particular that a complete r-partite graph is P4-decomposable if and only if its size is a multiple of 3. We also give an example of a 2-connected graph of size 3k which is not P4-decomposable, disproving a conjecture of Chartrand.

The major problems faced in the field of Agriculture are loss in crop yield caused by insects, Herbs (weeds), viruses and the pathogens and the pests associated loss is about 14% of total agricultural production. The use of pesticides has resulted in adverse effect on the beneficial organisms and other plant parts such as leaves, fruits and has reached pollution levels, which has become a major concern for environmentalists. Therefore, products of crops resistant to insects have been the first priority in crop biotechnology. Genetic transformation has led the possibility of transforming crops for enhanced resistance to insects through the use of insect control protein gene- WGA (Wheat Germ Agglutinin), a glycoprotein with molecular weight of 34000 Da. Toxic effect appears to be mediated through binding of the lectins ( WGA ) to glycoproteins in the insect leading to the disruption of gut epithelial cells and are believed to be “natures own insecticides”. The present study involves preparation of recombinant pGPTV vector having WGA gene, which was transferred to E . coli DH5α basic strain. The recombinant vector was transferred to Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 using helper strain through triparental mating. The recombinant vector having Agrobacterium was infected with tomato leaf discs through co-cultivation and the leaf discs were transferred to selection media containing Kanamycin and direct regeneration of the plantlet were obtained from the leaf discs. The npt-II gene (Kanamycin resistance gene) serves as a selectable marker system in plants. The regenerated plantlets grown on selection media was subjected to primary screening by isolating the genomic DNA by CTAB (Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Buffer) method and the transformation was confirmed by the presence of amplified fragments of WGA gene by PCR analysis.
