Introdução: Os modelos existentes de serviços de saúde para pessoas com artrite reumatóide são insustentáveis, devido à necessidade de apoio contínuo e urgente para que as pessoas realizem a gestão da sua doença na agudização da mesma, melhorando a sua qualidade de vida, e evitando o consumo desnecessário de recursos de saúde. A tele enfermagem é assim uma alternativa válida, pois a educação em saúde pode ser ministrada remotamente por meio do uso de diversas tecnologias e métodos síncronos e assíncronos, exigindo o envolvimento de profissionais e pacientes. Objetivos: Analisar a perceção das pessoas com artrite reumatóide sobre a implementação de intervenções de eNURSING numa consulta de reumatologia. Material e Métodos: Estudo exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa e análise descritiva. Participaram 5 pessoas com artrite reumatóide, seguidas em consulta de reumatologia, numa unidade hospitalar do centro do país. Dados colhidos em março de 2021, com recurso a focus grupo analisados no software NVIVO, recorrendo à classificação hierárquica descendente e análise de similitude. Resultados: Da análise do verbatim das pessoas com artrite reumatóide, emergiram 4 categorias e 21 subcategorias. As primeiras prendem-se com: dificuldade no autocuidado, barreiras que contribuem para a redução da qualidade de vida, sugestões para a gestão da doença e perceções dos doentes sobre a implementação de eNURSING. Conclusões: As pessoas com artrite reumatóide consideraram, como intervenções eNURSING mais importantes, a criação de linhas de contacto, como telefone ou email, bem como o desenvolvimento de uma aplicação, voltada para a literacia em saúde, onde são patenteadas intervenções de educação em saúde, bem como de gestão e adesão aos tratamentos.

Radio astronomy and Space Infrastructures in the Azores have a great scientific and industrial interest because they benefit from a unique geographical location in the middle of the North Atlantic allowing a vast improvement in the sky coverage. This fact obviously has a very high added value for: i) the establishment of space tracking and communications networks for the emergent global small satellite fleets ii) it is invaluable to connect the radio astronomy infrastructure networks in Africa, Europe and America continents using Very Large Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) techniques, iii) it allows excellent potential for monitoring space debris and Near Earth Objects (NEOs). There is in S. Miguel island a 32-metre SATCOM antenna that could be integrated in advanced VLBI networks and be capable of additional Deep Space Network ground support. This paper explores the space science opportunities offered by the upgrade of the S. Miguel 32-metre SATCOM antenna into a world-class infrastructure for radio astronomy and space exploration: it would enable a Deep Space Network mode and would constitute a key space facility for data production, promoting local digital infrastructure investments and the testing of cutting-edge information technologies. Its Atlantic location also enables improvements in angular resolution, provides many baseline in East-West and North-South directions connecting the emergent VLBI stations in America to Europe and Africa VLBI arrays therefore contributing for greater array imaging capabilities especially for sources or well studied fields close to or below the celestial equator, where ESO facilities, ALMA, SKA and its precursors do or will operate and observe in the coming decades., Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures, 3 tables. Centaurs and trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) are considered to be among the most pristine members of our solar system and carry plenty of information on the physical and dynamical processes that shaped our solar system. Here we report the occultation observation of the star Gaia EDR3 133768513079427328 (G: 11.7 mag, R: 11.3 mag) by the TNO (119951) 2002 TC302 on November 11, 2021. The shadow path was predicted to cross central Europe and USA. We received a total of 57 observations reports, with at least 19 positive detections and 25 miss reports (no event detected). 2002 TC302 is a high-inclination (i ~ 35°) TNO in a 2:5 resonance with Neptune, orbiting the Sun in an average distance of about 55 au. The radiometric diameter from Herschel and Spitzer thermal observations is 584.1 (+106.5, -88.0) km [1], while the analysis of a multi-chord stellar occultation observed on 28 January 2018, combined with light curve data, revealed an area-equivalent diameter of 499.6 ± 10.2 km [2]. From our preliminary elliptical profile fit of the 11 November 2021 occultation observations we derived a projected area-equivalent diameter of 500.3 ± 2.5 km, which is consistent with the above mentioned value from the previous stellar occultation in 2018. The 2018 and 2021 occultation diameters are significant (about 84 km) smaller than the radiometric diameter, which might be even larger (D ~ 643 km) after a reanalysis of the Herschel data [3]. This discrepancy might indicate the existence of an unresolved satellite, but other possibilities are being considered as well [see also 2,3]. PONTIFÍCIA UNIVERSIDADE CATÓLICA DO RIO DE JANEIRO COORDENAÇÃO DE APERFEIÇOAMENTO DO PESSOAL DE ENSINO SUPERIOR PROGRAMA DE EXCELENCIA ACADEMICA Mas e depois? Narrativas e memórias de netas e netos de sobreviventes do Holocausto, tem como tema central as narrativas de netas e netos de sobreviventes do Holocausto que nasceram e/ou residem na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O estudo se debruçou sobre as narrativas de quatro netas e três netos de sobreviventes do Holocausto, pessoas que se encontram dentro da faixa etária aproximada de 35 a 40 anos e que conviveram com avós vítimas da perseguição e extermínio nazista. Escutá-los trouxe fragmentos de histórias do passado ressignificados no tempo presente. O objetivo central foi ouvir as narrativas de netas e netos de sobreviventes deste evento para compreender o que conhecem e falam sobre o Holocausto. Foram perguntas orientadoras da pesquisa: (a) netas e netos de sobreviventes ouviram histórias sobre o Holocausto? (b) por quais experiências, relacionadas ao Holocausto, passaram junto de seus avós? O que aprenderam com eles? (c) há relevância dessas narrativas para além da esfera familiar? A memória de um evento traumático contribui para a formação humana? (d) existem tensões entre a voz e o silêncio – falar e calar - diante da lembrança do Holocausto? (e) existem e, se existem, quais são os impactos dessas narrativas para uma educação que caminhe na dimensão contrária à barbárie? A pesquisa teve como estratégia metodológica entrevistas semiestruturadas, individuais. Em função da pandemia de COVID-19, as entrevistas foram todas realizadas no formato online, através da plataforma google meet, gravadas em áudio e transcritas em sua íntegra. Foi escrita em pandemia. Desafiador. Possui como central aporte teórico-metodológico Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) e Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017), dois importantes pensadores que foram escolhidos em função da relevância de seus conceitos e obras para o tema. Muitos outros autores chegam no decorrer de toda a dissertação com amplas contribuições e interlocuções teóricas. As análises indicam que ser terceira geração de sobrevivente do Holocausto traz o sentido de ser parte direta dessa história; carrega segredos, mistérios e sentimentos entrecruzados de singularidade e coletividade histórica. Medo, coragem, decisão, sustentação, luta, são sentimentos que as pessoas entrevistadas nesta pesquisa trouxeram entrelaçadas às suas memórias do que ouviram de seus avós e às suas reflexões no tempo presente. Rememorar os avós como exemplo, força e resistência, foram dados que apareceram de forma recorrente nas narrativas. Os achados ainda dizem de avós que falavam e não falavam sobre as experiências vividas no Holocausto; que narrar fazia bem a alguns e não necessariamente a outros; e que sentirem-se próximos das experiências vividas por seus avós se correlaciona com lugares geográficos e museus visitados, filmes, palestras ouvidas, além do que ouviram de seus pais, membros da segunda geração, e outros familiares. But then what? Narratives and memories of granddaughters and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, has as its central theme the narratives of granddaughters and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors who were born and/or reside in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The study focused on the narratives of four granddaughters and three grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, people within the approximate age range of 35 to 40 years old and who lived with grandparents who were victims of Nazi persecution and extermination. Listening to them brought fragments of past stories reinterpreted in the present time. The main objective was to listen to the narratives of the granddaughters and grandchildren of survivors of this event in order to understand what they know and say about the Holocaust. The research guiding questions were: (a) granddaughters and grandchildren of survivors heard stories about the Holocaust? (b) what experiences, related to the Holocaust, did you have with your grandparents? What did you learn from them? (c) are these narratives relevant beyond the family sphere? Does the memory of a traumatic event contribute to human formation? (d) are there tensions between voice and silence – speaking and being silent – in the face of the memory of the Holocaust? (e) are there and, if so, what are the impacts of these narratives for an education that walks in a dimension contrary to barbarism? The research had as a methodological strategy semi-structured individual interviews. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the interviews were all conducted online, through the google meet platform, recorded in audio and transcribed in their entirety. It was written in pandemic. Challenger. Its central theoretical-methodological contribution is Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) and Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017), two important thinkers who were chosen due to the relevance of their concepts and works to the theme. Many other authors arrive throughout the dissertation with extensive contributions and theoretical dialogues. Analyzes indicate that being a third generation Holocaust survivor makes the sense of being a direct part of this story; it carries secrets, mysteries and intertwined feelings of uniqueness and historical collectivity. Fear, courage, decision, support, struggle, are feelings that the people interviewed in this research brought intertwined to their memories of what they heard from their grandparents and to their reflections in the present time. Remembering grandparents as an example, strength and resistance were data that appeared recurrently in the narratives. The findings also tell of grandparents who talked and did not talk about the experiences lived in the Holocaust; that narrating was good for some and not necessarily for others; and that feeling close to the experiences lived by their grandparents correlates with geographical places and museums visited, movies, listened to lectures, in addition to what they heard from their parents, members of the second generation, and other family members.

We have performed numerical simulations of narrow rings around small bodies, addressing both the m=2 resonance perturbations induced by a rotating tri-axial ellipsoidal central body and the m=1 perturbations due to a mass anomaly on the surface of the central body. The simulations include up to 1e5 mutually colliding particles, and their partially inelastic impacts are resolved with the soft-sphere treatment introduced in Salo (1995; for details see Salo et al. 2018). An azimuthally complete ring is followed, and the integrations are performed in an inertial center-of-mass frame, lasting up to 1e5 central body rotations. Our goal is to see under which conditions the perturbation may prevent the collision-induced viscous spreading of the ring, instead leading to a confinement. Our study is motivated by the narrow dense rings discovered around the tri-axial Centaur object Chariklo (Braga-Ribas et al. 2014) and the dwarf planet Haumea (Ortiz et al. 2017). In particular the Chariklo ring consists of two narrow components, with the inner ring having an optical depth of the order of unity and possessing sharp edges. While the ellipticity of the ring is poorly constrained (measurements are consistent with a circular ring), it is known to exhibit substantial width variations (Berard et al. AJ, 154, 144). Both Chariklo and Haumea rings are close to a distance where the orbital period equals three central body rotations, corresponding to a 2/6 resonance with a rotating ellipsoidal body, and a 1/3 resonance for a mass anomaly (Sicardy et al. 2019). Sicardy et al. (2019) demonstrated that torques connected to resonances lead to a rapid clearing of particles from the vicinity of the central body, up to distances where orbital period equals two central body rotation periods. Their test particle calculations approximated the effects of impacts with an additional Stokes friction term. Our realistic collisional simulations confirm these results, and also indicate that the m=2 perturbation by the ellipsoidal body has an insignificant effect at the 2/6 resonance. On the other hand, we find that a sufficiently strong mass anomaly may eventually lead to formation of a narrow confined ring near 1/3 (Fig. 1). What maintains the ring confined? Our favored mechanism is the reversal of angular momentum flux. Without perturbation, the outward flow of angular momentum, together with collisional dissipation, always implies radial dispersal of a narrow ring. However, in a strongly perturbed ring (say with an eccentricity gradient related to width variations) the direction of flux may reverse, leading to a confinement of sharp edges (Borderies et al. 1982). In Hänninen and Salo (1994, 1995; see also Goldreich et al 1995) such a confinement was verified in direct simulations of first order satellite Lindblad resonances, including the inner 2/1 (ILR) and outer 1/2 (OLR). Moreover, thesimulation-measured pressure tensor was shown to be in accordance with the theoretical mechanism. With the current code we have verified this early simulation result, and extended similar measurements to the 1/3 case. However, the 1/3 behaviour is more complicated due to the different order of the resonance. While in the ILR and OLR resonances the response of the ring is more or less steady in the frame rotating with the perturber, this is not so in the 1/3 case. We are currently investigating in detail the confinement/ flux reversal mechanism, which results will be reported. We will also discuss the scaling between the simulated particle size and the magnitude of the mass anomaly required for confinement. Eventually, in order to extend the calculations to realistic particle sizes, a larger number of particles needs to be simulated in a multi-processor environment: for that purpose we plan to use the new REBOUND-based soft-sphere code recently applied to local simulations of viscous overstability (Mondino-Llermanos and Salo, this meeting; submitted to MNRAS). The soft-sphere impact treatment is important as the ringlets have a large optical depth; it will also facilitate the later inclusion of ring self-gravity, important for rings near the Roche zone where temporary clumping of particles is expected. The Centaur (10199) Chariklo is a small body moving in an elliptical orbit, between Saturn and Uranus, with heliocentric distances ranging 13.1 and 18.9 au. It is the largest object known in this orbital region, and since its discovery in 1997 (Ticha et al. 1997), many studies tried to characterise this object. From the literature, different observational techniques give an equivalent surface radius ranging between 109 and 151 km (Sekiguchi et al., 2012; Lellouch et al., 2017). Additionally, a ring system was detected by Braga-Ribas et al. (2014) using stellar occultation data sets acquired in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, other stellar occultations brought more detailed information on this system (Bérard et al., 2017; Leiva et al., 2017). A stellar occultation occurs when a solar system object passes in front of a star for an observer on Earth. Using this technique it is possible to determine sizes and shapes at kilometre precision and to obtain other physical parameters, such as its albedo, the presence of an atmosphere, rings, jets, or topographic features (Braga-Ribas et al., 2013, 2019; Dias-Oliveira et al., 2015, 2017; Benedetti-Rossi et al., 2019; Ortiz et al., 2017; Leiva et al., 2017; Bérard et al., 2017; Santos-Sanz et al., 2021). After the release of the Gaia DR2 catalogue (Gaia collaboration et al., 2018), the stars' positions are known with uncertainties below one milliarcsecond (mas). Moreover, after successful stellar occultations observations, Chariklo ephemeris was updated, now it has uncertainties below five mas ($\sim$50 km at Chariklo's distance). Accurate star's positions and updated ephemeris resulted in successful observational campaigns in Namibia (22/06/2017), South America (23/07/2017) and La Réunion (08/08/2019). These were the first Chariklo occultations with more than three chords across the main body. These events increased our knowledge about Chariklo's shape, and this information can be used to constrain the dynamic of its rings. Six other events were observed between 2017 and 2020, however with fewer detections on the main body. In this work, we will present the obtained results, such as the global shape of Chariklo's rings system, including its pole determination, the ring width variation, structures within the rings (see Figure 1), the width of the gap between C1R and C2R and limits for the ring eccentricity and particle's sizes. Also, the 3D shape of Chariklo was obtained from eleven stellar occultations observed between 2013 and 2020 (see Figure 2). The parameters obtained in this work should be useful for constraining dynamical models of Chariklo and its rings and provide new insights into the formation and evolution of this system. Narrow and dense rings have been discovered around the small Centaur object Chariklo (Braga-Ribas et al 2014) and the dwarf planet Haumea (Ortiz et al. 2017). Both ring systems are observed close to the 1/3 resonance with the central body, meaning that the particles complete one revolution while the body completes three rotations.The potential of small bodies can have large non-axisymmetric terms when compared to the giants planets. As a result, strong resonant couplings occur between the body and a surrounding collisional, dissipative disk (Sicardy et al. 2019). Those resonances are described by a critical angle φ= mλ' - (m-j)λ - jϖ, where j>0 is the resonant order (i.e. the order in eccentricity of the resonant term in the Hamiltonian), m (m or m>0) is the azimuthal number, λ' (resp. λ) is the rotational angle of the body (resp. the particle), and ϖ is the longitude of periapse of the particle.Among the j= 1 (Lindblad), 2, 3 and 4 resonances, only the cases j= 1 and 2 can have an unstable (more precisely non-elliptic) point at the origin of the phase portrait describing [X= e.cos(φ), Y= e.sin(φ)], where e is the eccentricity and φ is the critical angle previously defined. The 1/3 resonant in particular has m=-1 and j=2, and is thus of second order. For a narrow range of the Jacobi constant associated with that resonance [i.e. a - (3/2)a0e2, where a is the ring's semi-major axis and a0 is the semi-major axis at exact resonance], the origin of the phase portrait is hyperbolic, hence unstable.This instability triggers an eccentricity excitation of the ring near the 1/3 resonance, a source of torque on that ring. Such resonance can be created by a mass anomaly in the central body. We have tested this mechanism by simulating a ring with 30,000 particles undergoing inelastic collisions near the 1/3 resonance with Chariklo, in the presence of a large mass anomaly that represents 0.1 the mass of the body. Preliminary results are shown in the figure above. The density of particles has been plotted in a (Jacobi constant-eccentricity) diagram, with the exact resonance location plotted as the vertical dash-dotted gray line. The solid gray line is the expected maximum eccentricity reached by particles for the corresponding Jacobi constant. At that point, the ring has settled just outside the resonance location, reaching a balance between the eccentricity and semi-major dampings due to inelastic collisions, and the eccentricity excitation caused by the resonance. More quantitative results will be presented, in particular the effect of smaller, more realistic, mass anomalies, and the assessment of a possible slow outward drift caused by a residual secular torque on the ring. Meanwhile, the observed behavior in those simulations appears as a promising mechanism to explain the proximity of both Chariklo's and Haumea's rings to the 1/3 resonance. Caroli's disease is a very rare congenital malformation, currently included in cystic diseases of the biliary tract, and is characterized by ectasia and dilatation of the intrahepatic bile ducts. Two clinical entities can be distinguished, Caroli's disease in which congenital hepatic impairment is limited to cystic dilatation and Caroli's syndrome in which congenital hepatic fibrosis coexists. We present two cases of atypical presentations of Caroli's disease. Case one was a 76-year-old man who was referred to our hospital for chronic non-remitting epigastric pain prior to diagnosis. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) was performed, which revealed findings consistent with Caroli's disease. Laboratory investigation disclosed a raised α-fetoprotein. Left hepatectomy was performed due to suspected cholangiocarcinoma. Morphological findings were compatible with Caroli's disease and no evidence of malignancy was found. Case two was a 47-year-old man who presented with chronic epigastric pain and generalized abdominal discomfort. MRCP revealed findings compatible with Caroli's disease. The patient was discharged with ursodeoxycholic acid treatment and was later admitted twice due to inaugural episodes of cholangitis that were medically managed. Bisegmentectomies II and III were performed for suspected neoplasia after a gradual rise in α-fetoprotein and CA19-9 values were noted during follow-up. The surgical specimen confirmed Caroli's disease and there was no evidence of malignancy. Postoperative periods for both patients were favorable, and they remain asymptomatic and well to date.

A 71-year-old woman presented with constitutional signs and lower extremity palpable purpura after being prescribed a four-day course of 500 mg of ciprofloxacin two times daily for a gastrointestinal infection. She was admitted for inpatient treatment. During the third hospital day, she presented with an episode of abundant hematemesis while her skin lesions remained unchanged. Upper endoscopy revealed multiple lesions consistent with vasculitis and histological examination of the skin biopsy disclosed a leukocytoclastic vasculitis. The patient was successfully treated with prednisone following ciprofloxacin discontinuation. Complete resolution of the lesions on drug withdrawal strongly suggested drug toxicity, which was further supported by a score of 8 in the Naranjo Adverse Drug Reaction Probability Scale. Awareness that the development of skin and gastrointestinal lesions following administration of ciprofloxacin may be a manifestation of ciprofloxacin-induced vasculitis can help early detection, treatment, and lead to an overall good prognosis.

The most significant outbreak of Legionella pneumophila, or Legionnaires' Disease, ever registered in Portugal occurred in 2014, and was considered one of the largest in European history. This relatively rare infection has a dire prognosis if not timely identified and correctly treated, presenting with a high lethality rate. We describe a case of infection by Legionella pneumophila in a previously healthy individual during an outbreak that originated 300 kilometers away from our hospital. The patient presented to the Emergency Department and after an initial assessment, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He underwent supportive treatment with invasive mechanical ventilation and antibiotic therapy, having been discharged with functional improvement 21 days after admission. During follow-up, the patient presented well without residual clinical or radiological findings. Prompt management following established guidelines allowed for the appropriate treatment and a favorable prognosis. This case serves as a reminder that early management is important, healthy individuals without known risk factors may present with severe infection, and there is the possibility for individual cases of Legionellosis to present far from the outbreak source.

We report a rare case of a 61-year-old homeless man with a 15-year history of multiple trichilemmal cysts that served as a forerunner for the emergence of a malignant proliferating pilar tumour. The patient presented multiple, large, purulent, ulcerated lesions ranging from 10 to 150 mm in diameter, covering most of the scalp, with large areas superimposed by extensive myiasis infestation. The patient presented with no other major clinical findings. A CT scan showed no detectable signs of local or distant metastatic invasion. Initial supportive treatment was implemented. Given the extent of the injury, further surgical excision was considered, which required transfer to a specialised surgical centre. This social case is of educational value, as it can raise clinician awareness about the ability of trichilemmal cysts to undergo malignant transformation. Additionally, it highlights the importance of adequate social assistance structures for patients in need.

The ‘Mars Energetic Radiation Environment Models’ (dMEREM and eMEREM) recently developed for the European Space Agency are herein used to estimate, for the first time, background Galactic Cosmic Ray (GCR) radiation and flare related solar energetic particle (SEP) events at three candidate martian landing sites under conditions where particle arrival occurred at solar minimum (December, 2006) and solar maximum (April, 2002) during Solar Cycle 23. The three landing sites were selected on the basis that they are characterized by significantly different hydrological conditions and soil compositions. Energetic particle data sets recorded on orbit at Mars at the relevant times were incomplete because of gaps in the measurements due to operational constraints. Thus, in the present study, comprehensive near-Earth particle measurements made aboard the GOES spacecraft were used as proxies to estimate the overall particle doses at each perspective landing site, assuming in each case that the fluxes fell off as 1/ r 2 (where r is the helio-radial distance) and that good magnetic connectivity always prevailed. The results indicate that the particle radiation environment on Mars can vary according to the epoch concerned and the landing site selected. Particle estimations obtained using MEREM are in reasonable agreement, given the inherent differences between the models, with the related NASA Heavy Ion–Nucleon Transport Code for Space Radiation/HZETRN. Both sets of results indicated that, for short (30 days) stays, the atmosphere of Mars, in the cases of the SEPs studied and the then prevailing background galactic cosmic radiation, provided sufficient shielding at the planetary surface to maintain annual skin and blood forming organ/BFO dose levels below currently accepted ionizing radiation exposure limits. The threat of occurrence of a hard spectrum SEP during Cruise-Phase transfers to/from Mars over 400 days, combined with the associated cumulative effect of prolonged GCR exposure, poses an as yet unsolved hazard to prospective onboard personnel.

Aims. We show that the Heliosphere Instrument for Spectra Composition and Anisotropy at Low Energies (HISCALE) on board the Ulysses spacecraft and the Electron Proton Alpha Monitor (EPAM) on board the Advance Composition Explorer (ACE) spacecraft can be used to measure properties for ion populations with kinetic energies in excess of 1 GeV. This previously unexplored source of information is valuable for understanding the origin of near relativistic ions of solar origin.Methods. We model the instrumental response from the low energy magnetic spectrometers from EPAM and HISCALE using a Monte Carlo approach implemented in the Geant4 toolkit to determine the response of different energy channels to energies up to 5 GeV. We compare model results with EPAM observations for 2012 May 17 ground level solar cosmic ray event, including directional fluxes.Results. For the 2012 May event, all the ion channels in EPAM show an onset more than one hour before ions with the highest nominal energy range (1.8 to 4.8 MeV) were expected to arrive. We show from Monte Carlo simulations that the timing at different channels, the ratio between counts at the different channels, and the directional fluxes within a given channel, are consistent with and can be explained by the arrival of particles with energies from 35 MeV to more than 1 GeV. Onset times for the EPAM penetrating protons are consistent with the rise seen in neutron monitor data, implying that EPAM and ground neutron monitors are seeing overlapping energy ranges and that both are consistent with GeV ions being released from the Sun at 10:38 UT.

A relação entre os consumidores e as marcas é um tema cada vez mais relevante, especialmente no que diz respeito ao impacto das emoções negativas nas avaliações e decisões dos consumidores. O ódio é a emoção mais negativa que um consumidor pode ter para com uma marca, levando a um relacionamento extremamente negativo ao qual vários autores designam de Brand Hate, ou seja, ódio à marca. Dada a importância de aprofundar o estudo das relações entre consumidores e marcas e uma vez que as marcas optam, cada vez mais, por estratégias relacionais, este estudo tem como principal objetivo entender a influência dos traços de personalidade no Brand Hate e nas suas relações com os antecedentes e consequências. Foi utilizada uma metodologia quantitativa, tendo-se recorrido a um questionário como método de pesquisa. O tipo de amostragem utilizado para a recolha de dados foi não probabilística por conveniência, tendo sido recolhidas 225 respostas. A análise dos dados realizou-se utilizando o SPSS, o SmartPLS e o NVivo. Verificou-se que o Brand Hate é influenciado significativamente pelas experiências negativas passadas e, principalmente, pela incompatibilidade ideológica. Apurou-se, ainda, que o Brand Hate, tem relações significativas, principalmente, para com a reclamação privada e a mudança de marca, mas também com a vingança e a retaliação para com a marca. No âmbito da influência dos traços de personalidade, os indivíduos que sentem Brand Hate apresentam níveis de afabilidade mais baixos do que os que não sentem. Além disso, o impacto do Brand Hate na reclamação pública é maior em pessoas com índices mais baixos de extroversão, bem como com índices mais baixos de conscienciosidade. Concluiu-se, ainda, que o impacto do Brand Hate na reclamação privada é maior em pessoas com um baixo índice de sinceridade impulsiva, bem como com um baixo índice de desejo de aceitação social. Por último, verificou-se um maior impacto do Brand Hate na mudança de marca em pessoas com baixo índice de desejo de aceitação social. Por fim, são propostas implicações práticas que podem ser úteis a gestores de marca cujas marcas estejam inseridas em setores com maior propensão ao Brand Hate. ABSTRACT: The relationship between consumers and brands is an increasingly relevant theme, specially with regard to the impact of negative emotions on consumer evaluations and decisions. Hate is the most negative emotion that a consumer can have towards a brand, leading to an extremely negative relationship, which can be called Brand Hate. Given the importance of furthering the study of consumer-brand relationships and since brands are increasingly opting for relational strategies, this study's main objective is to understand the influence of personality traits on Brand Hate and its relationships with antecedents and consequences. A quantitative methodology was applied, using a questionnaire as research method. To collect the data, a non-probability sampling technique by convenience was used, resulting in 225 responses collected. Data analysis was performed using mainly SPSS and SmartPLS. It was found that Brand Hate is significantly influenced by negative past experiences, and especially by ideological incompatibility. It was also found that Brand Hate has significant relationships, mainly, to private complaints and brand switching, but also to brand revenge and retaliation. Within the influence of personality traits, individuals who feel Brand Hate, have lower levels of affability than those who do not. In addition, the impact of Brand Hate on public complaint is higher in people with low extroversion levels, as well as in people with a low conscientiousness level. It was also found that the impact of Brand Hate on private complaint is higher in people with a low score of impulsive sincerity, as well as, with a low level of desire for social acceptance. Finally, Brand Hate was found to have a greater impact on brand switching, also in people with a low level of desire for social acceptance. Finally, some practical implications are proposed that may be useful to brand managers whose brands are in sectors that are more prone to Brand Hate.
