The experimental research performed by us with the purpose of exploring the possibilities of development of strategic learning competences and improvement of school performance of 11th grade students, pedagogical profile, specialisation in primary school-kindergarten teacher, falls in the category of researches aiming to make efficient certain didactical strategies by testing new action methods. In this proposed subject, which is of great interest, we tried to offer the teaching staff support in performing student-focused activities, which would stimulate them and raise awareness, as well as shape them as self-sufficient persons, capable of setting goals and of reflecting, individually, as well as collectively, upon strategies chosen to reach those aims. The data achieved and processed with the SPSS programme have revealed that the educational programme created by us, systemic and focused on independent activities, which valorise the individual, collective, cognitive and meta-cognitive reflection, inputs to shaping the strategic learning competence and facilitates the improvement of their school performance.

Through this research was intended to underline the importance of the semi-global strategies used within thematic projects for developing writing/reading abilities in the first grade pupils. Four different coordinates were chosen to be the main variables of this research: the level of phonological awareness, the degree in which writing-reading elements are identified, the degree on understanding the functions-role of writing-reading, enriching vocabulary and improving the comprehension level. This research is a pedagogical experiment having as main phases the pretest, intervention, posttest stages.

In our paper we proposed feed-back presentation participants vis-a-vis some aspects of the training program of four hundred Romanian teachers in secondary education in the field of mentoring employability, developed in SOPHRD project "From debut to success", 36525ID. Specifically we refer to issues such as the extent to which were secured interdependencies between powers under the program; should the program students met expectations in terms of the powers concerned; critical issues raised by students for each of the roles of mentor coach; students' own proposals on other roles of mentor coach. The data were obtained by interpreting the results of guy face to face questionnaires developed within the project and applied to the 400 participants during and at the end of the program period. The analysis of questionnaire responses can draw the conclusion that the results are favorable whole program, that program has achieved the aims in terms of competencies concerned; provided interdependence between powers concerned; students met expectations in terms of the powers concerned. The analysis also provides information questionnaire responses and proposals of the type proposed contents module issues 1, 2 and 3, which students know; issues that students wish to deepen, develop them; unknown or difficult issues; cognitive difficulties; metacognitive hurdles; expectations of students in theoretical and practical perspective; professional and transversal competences that students have and that underlie the proposed study program modules; they establish the connections between students of the three modules covered issues; critical issues raised by students for each of the roles of mentor coach; students' own proposals on other roles of mentor coach. We believe that the results of the investigation presented is a barometer of the current situation of the Romanian education on both the preparedness of apprenticeship mentors and their expectations and proposals on mentoring system more efficient.
