Przedmiotem artykułu są sposoby społecznego modelowania i negocjowania znaczeń leksemów maseczka oraz maska, występujących w wypowiedziach przeciwników obostrzeń sanitarnych związanych z pandemią Covid-19. Materiał badawczy stanowią komentarze zamieszczane na oficjalnym facebookowym profilu Ministerstwa Zdrowia (jako przestrzeni neutralnej, potencjalnie otwartej dla przedstawicieli różnych wspólnot dyskursywnych) od kwietnia do maja 2020 roku. Teoretyczny, a także metodologiczny punkt odniesienia analiz wyznaczają z kolei lingwistyczne badania nad dyskursem; w celu pełniejszego ujęcia walk semantycznych czy walk wartości toczących się w zajmującym autorki opracowania dyskursie skorzystano również z pewnych ustaleń lingwistyki korpusowej i genologii internetowej. Szczegółowy ogląd wybranych kolokacji wskazanych jednostek (maseczki i maski), ich tekstowych ekwiwalentów, naddatków semantycznych (zna- czeń asocjacyjnych, ekspresywnych) oraz profili znaczeniowych ujawniających się w konkretnych tekstach pozwala stwierdzić, że leksemy te stały się nasemantyzowanymi symbolami, dla przeciwników reżimu sanitarnego mającymi konotacje jednoznacznie pejoratywne. Można je ponadto uznać za słowa sztandarowe współkształtujące dyskursywny obraz świata pandemii.

Autorki artykułu dokonały wstępnego rozpoznania fenomenu, który określa się dziśmianem cyfrowego archiwum społecznego. Ogląd tego obiektu dociekań (interesującegopoznawczo, choć jednocześnie pomijanego dotąd w lingwistycznie i/lub dyskursologiczniesprofilowanych rozważaniach nad pamięcią zbiorową albo jednostkową, kulturą pamięci,dyskursami pamięci itd.) poprzedziły uzgodnienia definicyjne. Badaczki uzupełniły gotakże o: 1) omówienie społeczno-kulturowego tła obecnej archiwistyki; 2) przedstawienienaukowego zaplecza roztrząsań oraz wstępne dookreślenie założeń i metod opisu;3) ocenę możliwości i ograniczeń związanych z eksploracją zarysowanego pola analiz,a także wskazanie uobecniających się w tych granicach problemów badawczych (tożsamość podmiotów odbijających się w zwierciadle archiwum społecznego/cyfrowego; aksjologicznei ideologiczne aspekty re/konstruowanych przez aktorów społecznych obrazów przeszłości;płaszczyzna przedmiotowa i dyskursywny obraz świata; dyskurs prywatności a/i dyskurspubliczny wobec archiwistyki społecznej oraz − szerzej – usytuowanie archiwum we współczesnejprzestrzeni komunikacyjnej). Zdaniem autorek przestrzenie archiwalne powinnyspotkać się z większym zainteresowaniem dyskursologów − przede wszystkim z uwagi naważką rolę społeczną, jaką pełnią one zarówno w humanistyce, jak i we współczesnymmyśleniu partycypacyjnym (obywatelskim czy wspólnototwórczym).

The article analyzes communication strategies that reveal the knowledge of and power over a memory narrative connected to The Warsaw Uprising – one of the most crucial events for Poland, and in the history of World War II. The interviews carried out with insurgents and civilians – participants of the 1944 events, constituted the base for the research. Over 1,900 verbal activities of people conducting meetings with witnesses of history were subjected to a detailed review. The authors of the article were primarily interested in these activities’ influence on the shape of the memory narrative. The interpretation of the collected material is accomplished within the confines of critical discourse analysis which focuses on the relationship of knowledge and power as manifested in specific ways language is used.

The authors of the article present the results of (quantitative and qualitative) research on narrative interviews from the Oral History Archive – more precisely: memories of the Warsaw Uprising witnesses (its active participants). The main subject of the analyses, which align with the trends of reflections on the phenomenon of studies on social archives and follow the premises of memory linguistics, are the elements of the lexical level, i.e. collocations of the possessive pronouns mój, nasz (my, ours). In the discourse on the events of August 1944, they can be considered to be some of the significant determinants of individual and/or collective identities of the subjects. The search for answers to the questions about how the identity of the Warsaw Uprising participants is revealed at the level of selected biographical narrations, whatelements dominate there and how it is determined, allows for drawing some conclusions, including the final one: despite the expected predominance of individual identity (and personal views of the past), the examined relationships show a strong expansion of the sense of community which is evident even in the areas that fall within the domain of individual memory.

The objective of the article is a preliminary attempt to view contemporary forms of recording and documenting the memory of urban space, i.e. urban digital social archives. These undertakings, fitting into the current research trend on urban discourse, deserve a discursive description with a focus on the subjective, ideational and interactive plane. The author chose only a small fragment from this extensive research field. She looks at the “memory map of the city” recorded in the form of a social archive. She is interested in which elements (objects) places its inhabitants use to build such a map, and what determines their choices in the context of axiological preferences.

The category of a stroller opens up a wide spectrum of possible interpretations of urban space. Tourists that are visiting, and at the same time experiencing this space become the participants of complex and multidimensional discourse types, which have a common subject — the city. The article is an attempt at delineating the profile of a contemporary stroller and confronting it with the concept of 19th century flâneur — the protopype of an individual whose aim is to walk round the city at a leisurely pace and to experience its space. The research subject are the texts of walking guidebooks presenting main Polish cities. The analysis of fragments of such publications can also provide some insight into the mechanisms of reception of modern cities.

Following article is an attempt to interpret linguistic views of Katowice, fixed in verbalised notions of it’s inhabitants and visitors. City, especially modern metropolis, is often seen in terms of text, communicational occurrence. This work focuses on capturing attributes that distinguish ways of picturing the city by individual recipient groups. Analisis is based on viewpoint category and lin-guistic picture of the world, which determine evaluation and ways of “reading” the city.

The authors give careful thought to selected digital “memorial sites” dedicated to distinguished creators of culture, literature and art (and collected under the banner of the KARTA Centre Foundation), such as Witold Lutosławski, Józef Gosławski, Agnieszka Osiecka, Wisława Szymborska, Pola Negri, Jerzy Grzegorzewski or Zofia Rydet. The overview of the collected material has assumed a search for (non)normative biographies, i.e. multi-modal, “patchwork,” “moving” biographies, as well as a confrontation of the observed patterns with well-established modes in biographical writing. What is more, the authors noted the liminal, borderline characteristics of the approaches, styles, genres etc. used today for various discursive practices that evoke or shape the images of the past. The conducted analyses, which have inscribed themselves into the stream of reflections on the phenomenon of the social archive and which are discursively and genologically oriented (cf. the assumptions and research methods of memory linguistics referred to in the text), have provided answers to, among others, the following specific questions: who the social actors reflected in the mirror of biographical archives (i.e. the creators and recipients of archives) are and what are their motivations; which people (and why these particular ones) are commemorated there, as well as through the prism of which objects a person’s profile is built.

Raport stanowi w moim głębokim przekonaniu bardzo udaną próbę połączenia zainteresowań i możliwości poznawczych współczesnej lingwistyki i oczekiwań społeczeństwa, w tym także decydentów z obszaru polityki i komunikacji społecznej. Analiza dyskursów, a konkretnie toposów argumentacyjnych przy użyciu aparatu lingwistycznego pozwala, jak udowodniły lingwistki z Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, precyzyjnie uchwycić schematy myślenia pewnej grupy społecznej na temat szczepień przeciw COVID-19. Analizie przyświeca cel, z jednej strony zrozumienia, ale nie oceny sposobu myślenia określonej grupy społecznej, a z drugiej, jak jednoznacznie wynika z wypracowanych rekomendacji, Autorki z obywatelską postawą i zaangażowaniem podejmują trud oceny dyskursu jako zespołu oddziaływania różnych praktyk komunikacyjnych, kierując się szacunkiem dla Innego i odpowiedzialnością za jakość więzi we wspólnocie. Gratuluję Autorkom raportu i jestem przekonany, że spotka się on z zainteresowaniem osób odpowiedzialnych za jakość komunikowania społecznego w Polsce.
