Making right decisions-at the time when people are facing immense conse-quential choices-has been extremely important. How can we be sure not to make fatal mistakes? The aim of this paper is to reveal some important developments in decision making that have been taking place not only in economics but in other social sciences during the past decades, as well as to offer insight in some new discovers that have occurred. There are many questions related to decision making and behaving in the new, uncertain and dangerous environment. One of the most interesting question is-will our action be rational or irrational? Irrational behavior can be understood as a study of the transition process by which people decide for one's own choice. Naturally, this choice can result in defects, economic losses, and sometimes personal flaws such as bad choice of medicines or poor choice of economic policy. According to traditional assumption of the classic economic theory, the individuals are behaving in rational way and they make rational decisions. Furthermore , irrational behavior is not just isolated to a few 'irrational individu-als" but can become the dominant choice for most people in the entire society. Irrational behavior happens when people make choices and decisions that go against the assumption of rational utility-maximizing behavior. Thus, economists and policymakers must consider the potential for irrationality.

Objective of this paper is to analyse some concept of project management techniques and proposed mathematical model for estimating the project completion probability after crashing PERT/CPM network. The main objective is to minimize the pessimistic time of the activity, which is lie on the critical path by investing additional amounts of money to project.

The increased level of knowledge in medicine, as in other sciences that are in some way associated with medical science, contributed to the change in quality standards in the health systems. Health systems, medical personnel and other employees in the health systems, especially during the last ten years have been faced with the demands of society and individuals (healthcare users), for an increased quality and elimination of the risk of adverse outcomes of individual procedures, diagnosis and treatment. Although quality in a medical intervention means applying the principles of best professional practice, more and more adverse outcomes of treatment have been recorded in the most technologically advanced countries. Conceptual models in healthcare began to develop in the early 1960s, with the works of Donabedian in the field of assessing the quality of healthcare, which in this model included elements of structure, process and outcomes (Donabedian, 2005). Following this model, there have been many efforts to analyze the individual components of healthcare. The US Institute of Medicine developed and defined healthcare as a framework to be used as a template for planning the reform of primary healthcare and as a basis for the development of instruments that are used in assessing the quality of healthcare. One of the basic human rights is the right to quality healthcare. The goal of each health system is to improve the quality of health, which also improves the quality of life. The quality of healthcare encompasses a set of measures taken during a health procedure, which results in a favourable outcome of treatment and also prevents unwanted events that may cause a negative treatment outcome. At the heart of the quality system is the patient, and therefore health institutions must provide conditions that guarantee their health and security. The aim of this paper is to present health systems that apply management models for the overall quality of the mechanisms built in the structure of governance at all levels to enable prediction of the results of the introduction of new policies aimed at maintaining and improving the quality of the healthcare system.

In each project development there are certain cost that are result of consumption of material and other factors of technological process. Any activity that needs to be carried out to earn revenue, as a ruler, entails certain costs. Using the method (PERT/COST) in this paper, an analysis was carried out to allow a more realistic forecasting of total project costs and a part of the available resources while maintaining project completetion time.

Costs are a regular occurrence in the operations of each business system and it is not possible to perform any activity on a project and avoid costs. Costs are the center of economics, and in the literature of economics they occupy a central place because the notion of economics is closely related to the cost-dependent business performance. It can be concluded that all economic decisions are based on costs, so the special attention should be given to cost management. Practical experience shows frequent delays in the fulfilment of obligations towards the end customer, regarding the fulfilment of obligations by the unplanned engagement of additional work with increased production costs. Using the method (PERT / COST) in the paper, an analysis was carried out to allow a more realistic forecasting of total project costs and a part of the available resources while maintaining project completion times.

This paper points out the fact that the Faculty of Economics in Osijek has a good potential of conducting doctoral programs. Ten Salzburg Principles on doctoral programs, that provide the basis for Bergen Communique text, have been also used as the foundation for the University’s doctoral program.Te unique character of the third cycle driven by its core component - the ad-vancement of knowledge through research - needs to be recognized within the Bologna process. At the same time implementation of the three Bologna cycles should be seen as a whole, and the inclusion of research component as well as of transferable skills development ensured also in the first and second cycles.Te Faculty of Economics in Osijek accepts its responsibility for embedding doctoral programs in institutional strategies and policies. Being a part of re- gional university, it contributes to the (regional) human capital development, which is an irreplaceable variable in the function of (regional) development.

The process of planning and management is very complex in organizational systems in which also belongs an overhaul of complex technical systems (overhaul in the processing and chemical industry, repair of vehicles, machinery and equipment, ...). There are numerous examples of projects that have been called into question by reason of exceeding the set deadline of completion and thus the project price increase made this investment irrational even before the beginning of its implementation. Classical methods of planning and management are inadequate to such requirements of development so the technique of network planning has become an indispensable technique for planning and management of a very complex projects. The nature of such projects is not often compatible with the assumption of the estimated duration of activities and thus the total duration of the project as a deterministic size, so in such cases, the duration of the activity should be observed as random variables, to which should be adapted and the procedure for calculating time parameters. By using data from the existing technical documentation, available literature and practical experience, in this paper was made the analysis of duration time in relation to costs and cost analysis in relation to the duration of the project by using PERT / COST method.

Universities play a significant role in the development of the society they act in. Their role is mainly felt at regional level. Nevertheless, through their scientific research, artistic and educational work, universities have a significant impact on a wider environment as well. The University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek, continuing a three-century-long tradition of higher education in Eastern Croatia, is one of the most important factors of development of the region. The new millennium has posed new challenges. The ongoing transformation process is extremely complex and requires the engagement of not only the entire academic community, but also of any entity interacting with the university. In order to give an overview of the main development trends of the University over the past ten years, the study presented in this paper applies adequate statistical methods and models. Deriving from the commitment taken by Croatia to found its social and economic progress on building an information society, the study puts special emphasis on analysing the possibility for the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek to actively contribute to the above process by providing conditions for the implementation of research programmes and projects as well as for the education and training of computer science human resources.

EU structural funds are available to EU member states that have the need for additional investments in a balanced and sustainable economic and social development. Structural Funds are in function of EU Cohesion Policy, which aims at achieving economic and social cohesion as well as harmonious development of the European Union. Th e role of structural funds are fi nancial support of projects which will help in reducing the gap between developed and less developed parts of the EU, and promote the overall competitiveness of the European society and economy. Regional differences within countries are increasing, creating an entirely lag in the development of certain regions. EU funds are therefore a key for reducing these differences by co-financing development project which will contribute to greater stability and growth. Entering the European Union, Croatia will have on its disposal allocated funds from the EU Cohesion Policy. In this paper, it will be presented the attitude of the experts for EU funding about the importance of EU funds for reducing a regional disparities within the EU countries. Research will include perception survey on the sample of the 69 project consultants in Croatia. The aim of the research is to emphasize the importance of preparing development projects and achieving a satisfactory level of regional development as well as providing guidelines for easier absorption of available EU funds.

The SWOT analysis is a widely applied tool in strategic decision support. The SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats encompassing the internal and external factors that are the most important for the enterprise's future. By applying the SWOT analysis in a strategic planning process, the aim usually is to develop and adopt a strategy resulting in a goog fit between these internal and external factors. However, SWOT include no means of analytically determing the importance of factors or of assessing the fit between SWOT factors and decision alternatives. In A'WOT, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and its eigenvalue calculation framework are integrated with SWOT analysis. The aim in applying the hybrid method is to improve the quantitative information basis of strategic planning processes. AHP's connection to SWOT yields analytically-determined priorities for the factors included in SWOT analysis and makes them commensurable. In addition, decision alternatives can be evaluated with respect to each SWOT factor by applying the AHP. So, SWOT provides the basis frame within which to perform an analysis of the decision situation, and the AHP assists in carrying out SWOT more analytically and in elaborating the analysis so that alternative strategic decision can be prioritized.

Velika su se sveučilišta u povijesti suočavala s dvije prividno moćne kontradiktorne sile: zahtjevom za postojanošću, na jednoj strani, a na drugoj strani, jednako određenim ciljem promjene. Zaista, mnogo toga što mi činimo kao članovi akademske zajednice služi unaprjeđenju procesa promjene – mijenjajući osnovicu znanja, mijenjajući ljudske živote, mijenjajući to kako pojedinci i zajednica dolaze u međusobnu interakciju. Razvoj strateškog plana dosegao je važan miljokaz. Određena je konceptualna razina na kojoj su identificirane vrijednosti i imperativi koji definiraju budućnost sveučilišta. Sada je potrebno artikulirati operativne planove u vidu dokumenata. Ti operativni planovi izradit će se na svim sastavnicama sveučilišta. Planski imperativi koji će biti postavljeni u tim dokumentima rezultat su dogovornog procesa sastavnica Sveučilišta iz razdoblja koji je prethodio izradi Strateškog plana 2011.-2020. Sveučilišta J.J. Strossmayera U Osijeku. Ovaj tekst poslužio je kao radni materijal u izradi strateškog plana, a temelji se na velikom broju razmišljanja različitih sveučilišta u Republici Hrvatskoj i u svijetu o njihovim strateškim zadacima i obvezama. Iz mnogobrojnih pristupa koji su pretočeni u strateške planove najviše su korišteni oni koji su problematiku strateškog planiranja sveli na razuman broj stranica i koji su dali prikladnu metriku za provjeru izvršenja postavljenih strateških zadataka. Upravo u metrici i svim finesama koji iz nje proizlaze otvaraju se mogućnosti nadogradnje i poboljšanja modela ovoga strateškog plana koji ni u kojem slučaju nije kanonizirani oblik stvaranja strateškog plana sveučilišta već jedna od mogućnosti, jedna simulacija problematike viđena iz kuta gledanja autora teksta i jednog od sudionika u izradi prijedloga strateškog plana 2011.-2012. Sveučilišta J.J. Strossmayera u Osijeku. U prilogu ove knjige koja se praktički sastoji od dva dijela: općeg razmatranja strateškog planiranja na sveučilištima kao laganoga teorijskog pristupa i konkretnoga modela strateškoga planiranja na Sveučilištu J.J. Strossmayera uvrštena su tri priloga. Prvi, jedna vrsta upitnika za komunikaciju sa sastavnicama Sveučilišta, drugi, izvrstan materijal o metrici u Istraživačkoj strategiji Sveučilišta u Zagrebu 2008.-2013. i treći koji sadrži materijal o kvaliteti koji je kao dokument Sveučilišta pripremila prof.dr. Sanja Vicković pod nazivom „Godišnje izvješće o aktivnostima sustava za osiguranje i unaprjeđivanje kvalitete Sveučilišta J.J. Strossmayera u Osijeku“. Otežavajuća okolnost u izradi strateških sveučilišnih planova su i zakonske odredbe u Zakonu o znanosti, Zakonu o visokom obrazovanju, Zakonu o sveučilištu, Zakonu o osiguranju kvalitete koji još nisu usvojeni što implicira oprez i izvjesnu fleksibilnost.

It is well known that due to its high temperature gradient the Pannonian basin is a favourable area for geothermal energy production. This natural resource is further enhanced by another advantage of the area ; knowledge and experience resulting from decades long geological, hydrogeological and hydrocarbon exploration. This knowledge has special importance as existence of subsurface resources is necessary, but not sufficient condition for providing sustainable energy for the population. This subsurface resource will only convert to useable energy source following adequately planned and executed exploration and exploitation program. Planning and execution starts with understanding and detailed mapping of subsurface startigraphy, hydrogeology and tectonics. As a first step areas with significant potential for geothermal energy utilization can be selected based on the results of geological and geophysical investigations. Selection of the most suitable technology on the other hand depends not only on subsurface hydrogeology, but also on present day and future geographical and economical considerations. All this is topped with environmental and legal considerations, which provide the framework for sustainable and well controlled energy utilisation. Subsurface geology is not changing on human timescale, but still it is difficult to reveal and understand it in great details. Technology on the other hand is rapidly developing and the environmental regulations tend to become stricter from year to year. This complexity and variety gives the difficulty and the beauty of geothermal energy utilization. All these aspects have been considered during the DravaGeo project which evaluated the cross-border area of Drava basin across the Hungarian-Croatian border. Drava basin is not only an excellent study area because of its subsurface geology. Hungarian hydrocarbon exploration started in the Drava basin and the neighbouring Zala basin, which was also part of our study area. A unique geological database resulting from almost 80 years of hydrocarbon exploration is a solid basis for geothermal exploration. At the same time southern border areas along the Croatian border are primary target areas for development. It is high time to reconsider resources and possibilities in these areas. As part of these reconsiderations both traditional and new areas should be considered. Geothermal energy may become one of the new key areas. Geology, hydrogeology and geothermal characteristics of the Drava basin is summarized in the first part of this book introducing several maps prepared during the project and never published before. These maps summarize project results and possible geothermal energy resource areas in the Hungarian-Croatian border area in an easy to understand way also for non-technical readers. Next chapters of the book give an overview of the economical, settlement development and legal aspects of the area providing a framework for project planning. Overview of geothermal technologies is presented in a CD-ROM publication of the DravaGeo project.

Assesment of Geothermal Energy in the Republic of Croatia

Operacijski i proizvodni management je jedno od najuzbudljivijih dinamičkih područja u današnjem poslovanju. Zajedno s marketinškom i financijskom funkcijom ima životno značenje za strateško planiranje u organizacijama. Proizvodne i operacijske aktivnosti kao što su prognoziranje, izbor lokacije za neku tvornicu ili ured, alokacija resursa, oblikovanje proizvoda i usluga, aktivnosti terminiranja i osiguranje kvalitete su središnje aktivnosti u poslovanju organizacije. Vrlo često proizvodna/operacijska funkcija kontrolira zaposlene i sredstva u nekoj organizaciji. Ovaj tekst tumači problematiku na nešto višoj razini od uvoda i pokušava u našu stručnu literaturu uvesti one sadržaje koji dominiraju u stvarnoj globalnoj borbi na konkurentskom tržištu. Više od svih ostalih funkcija - računovodstva, financija, informacijskog sustava ili čak marketinga - proizvodnja omogućava tvrtkama da se dohvate i dominiraju stranim tržištima višom kvalitetom, bržim odgovorima, boljim odlikama i nižim troškovima. Strane tvrtke su to shvatile već ranije a naše će se morati ubrzo prilagoditi tim globalnim zathtjevima. U tekstu se namjerno pridržavamo temeljnog koncepta, nebitne stvari su eliminirane ili nisu naglašene. Suplementarne kvantitativne tehnike koje se često uče u kvantitativnim metodama (linearno programiranje, stablo odlučivanja, zalihe, repovi...) nisu u okviru ove knjige uvrštene u dodatak kako je to uobičajeno u knjigama ove vrste koje već dosežu preko tisuću stranica. Autor se nada da se taj koristan dodatak ovoj knjizi može naći u njegovom udžbeniku Operacijska istraživanja koji zajedno s Uvodom u operacijski management predstavlja jedan od prvih pokušaja integralnog predstavljanja naznačene problematike u našoj stručnoj literaturi. Kao podrška rješavanja modela u ovom proširenom izdanju služi programski paket POM.

Cilj ovog rada je da pokaže mogućnost uključivanja ekoloških faktora u teoriju proizvodnje koja se ovdje promatra s pozicije neoklasičnog pristupa, linearne analize aktivnosti i teorije oblika prilagođavanja. Pomoću linearnog i parametarskog programiranja izvode se veze između linearne analize aktivnosti i neoklasične teorije proizvodnje pretpostavljene klasičnom funkcijom proizvodnje. S gledišta zaštite prirodne sredine prednost se daje linearnoj analizi aktivnosti koja sa svojim instrumentarijem reagira na ekološke izazove.

This paper descries the results of ideas derived from the work of Systerm dynamics Research at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. The basic underlying ideas of System Dynamics are outlined and one application to a real problem of regional development is given.

U kompleksnom svijetu poslovanja, analiza odlučivanja igra glavnu ulogu u pomaganju donositelju odluke u većem razumijevanju problema s kojim se suočava. Glavni cilj ove knjige je dati perspektivu menadžerskom odlučivanju da ga učini prihvatljivim potencijalnim korisnicima: menadžerima, poslovnoj administraciji, organizacijama javnog sektora od kojih su većina stručnjaci u svom poslu, ali nisu matematičati niti statističati. Ta perspektiva je u integriranom i interdisciplinarnom procesu odlučivanja u kojem racionalni donositelj odluke slijedi strateški izbor koji će osigurati uspješan rezultat unutar vidljivih granica. Zbog toga smo se odlučili napisati knjigu koja predstavlja metodologiju menadžerskog odlučivanja "transparentnom", koliko je to moguće uz ograničeno korištenje metematičkih simbola. Općenito bi se moglo reći da postoji manjkavost u razumijevanju važnosti studiranja tehnike i metoda kao posebnog predmeta, premda u svjetskoj literaturi postoje brojne knjige koje se bave tom problematikom. Najdalje u tom pogledu kod nas je otišla grupa autora koja je objavila knjigu Poslovno odlučivanje koja je prihvaćena kao udžbenik. Tim tragom ide i ova knjiga koja je pred vama čije žarište leži na praktičnim menadnžerskim problemima, ali se oslanja i na teorijska pitanja kada osjećamo da je to potrebno za čitatelja kako bi razumijeli dubinu i primjenljivosti pojedinih metoda. Danas su mnogi problemi menadžerskog odlučivanja komplicirani potrebom i obavezom da se vodi računa o nizu pitanja kao što su ona u vezi okoline i sudjelovanja različitih interesnih grupa. U refleksiji na ta pitanja uveli smo ekstenzivno pokrivanje problema uključujući višestruke ciljeve.

Prostorna autokorelacija mogla bi se definirati kao odnos između vrijednosti pojedine varijable koje se javljaju radi geografskog uređenja područja u kojemu se te varijable pojavljuju. Ona mjeri sličnost objekata unutar jednog područja, stupanj po kojemu je neki prostorni fenomen u korelaciji sam sa sobom u prostoru, razinu nezavisnosti između varijabli, prirodu i jačinu međuovisnosti, tj. prostorna autokorelacija je procjena korelacije neke varijable u odnosu na prostornu lokaciju varijable. Drugim riječima, treba procijeniti jesu li vrijednosti međusobno povezane i ako jesu postoji li prostorni uzorak korelacije, odnosno postoji li prostorna autokorelacija. Sredstva prostorne autokorelacije testiraju jesu li vrijednosti varijable na jednoj lokaciji nezavisne o vrijednosti varijable koja je u susjednoj lokaciji. Prostorna autokorelacija mogla bi se klasificirati kao pozitivna ili negativna. Pozitivna prostorna autokorelacija ima sve slične vrijednosti koje se zajedno pojavljuju, dok negativna prostorna autokorelacija ima različite vrijednosti koje se pojavljuju u susjednim lokacijama. Prostorna autokorelacija može se mjeriti na lokalnoj i globalnoj razini. U studiji su pokazane obje najvažnije mjere i ilustrirane su na jednome praktičnom primjeru.

Ova je knjiga namijenjena vrlo širokom i šarolikom krugu čitalaca, a namjera je autora da u ograničenom broju stranica daju svima korisnu i dostupnu informacijsku panoramu moderne svjetske ekonomije u jednom njezinom segmentu koji se odnosi na pregled dobitnika Nobelove nagrade za ekonomiju od njezinog početka do našeg doba. Serija je upućena svim onim toliko prezaposlenim ekonomistima koji nikada neće dospjeti, koliko god željeli, da pročitaju sve ono što kao kulturni i obrazovani ljudi osjećaju da bi morali. Postoje i mnogobrojni drugi razlozi zašto se autori i sami ekonomisti zaljubljenici u svoju profesiju prihvaćaju ove teme. Knjiga predstavlja treće prošireno i dopunjeno izdanje knjige «Nobelova nagrada za ekonomiju» koja je tiskana u drugom izdanju 2004. godine, odnosno u svom prvom izdanju 1998. Uz dopunu teksta drugog izdanja treće izdanje knjige posvećeno je laureatima od 2003. do 2009. godine uz komentare koji se odnosi na najnovije težnje u dodijeli Nobelove nagrade, a tekst o prijašnjim laureatima je proširen novim referencama.

Serija je upućena svim onim toliko prezaposlenim ekonomistima koji nikada neće dospjeti, koliko god željeli, da pročitaju sve ono što kao kulturni i obrazovani ljudi osjećaju da bi morali. Postoje i mnogobrojni drugi razlozi zažto se autori i sami ekonomisti zaljubljenici u svoju profesiju prihvaćaju ove teme.

Die Ausganghypothese der Untersuchung ist, dass in den offentlich zuganglichen Finanzberichten uber Geschaftsfuhrung der Banken un der Republik Kroatien ausreichend Informationsinhalte vorhanden sind, die die Unterscheidung zwischen Banken, die bestimmte eschaftsprobleme haben, und jenen, die keinen haben, ermoglichen.

Ovaj rad pokušava osvijetliti senzibilnu uporabu matematičkih paradigmi u teoriji poduzetništva. Tvrdi se da je matematika vrijedan i koristan instrument koji bi ekonomisti trebali i morali primjenjivati sve dok ga se koristi ekonomski razumno. Teorija kaosa i katastrofe dvije su nadolazeće teorije &laquo ; novog zlatnog doba matematike&raquo ; . One pružaju matematičko obrazloženje sustava u kojima vrlo male promjene u inputima daju velike razlike u outputima. S aspekta poduzetništva one se čine dobrom metaforom za novonastala poduzeća, odnosno za nove poduzetničke pothvate. Autori u radu spekuliraju na koji način kaos i katastrofa mogu pridonijeti kvalitetnijem istraživanju područja poduzetništva.

Nobelova nagrada za ekonomiju nije dio prvobitne oporuke Alfreda Nobela, švedskog kemičara I izumitelja dinamita. U ekonomiji je ustanovljena 1969. godine I otada se tretira kao potpuno jednaka kao I originalne nagrade. Ona se dodjeljuje autorima koji su svojim radom obilježili stvarnost ekonomske znanosti određenog razdoblja, učinili značajne pomake u ekonomskoj znanosti, riješili određene probleme ili na njih ukazali, te predvidjeli budućnost ekonomskih znanosti. Za akademsku ekonomsku zajednicu od izuzetne je važnosti jer su radovi dobitnika Nobelove nagrade postavili visoke standarde ekonomskog znanja koje treba održati, ali i proširiti.

Proces visokog obrazovanja se treba temeljiti na saznanjima znanosti, odnosno rezultata istraživanja, a temeljni cilj bi mu trebao biti njihov transfer u svakodnevnu gospodarsku praksu. Razina razvijenosti sustava visokog obrazovanja u izravnoj je zavisnosti od opće gospodarske razvijenosti, te kvalitativne razvijenosti društveno-ekonomskih odnosa u zemlji, ali još je više u izravnoj zavisnosti o gospodarskoj razvijenosti regije u kojoj sveučilište kao krovno-ustrojbena institucija visokog obrazovanja djeluje. Pritom treba istaknuti da postoji i interaktivno povratno djelovanje sustava visokog obrazovanja kako na gospodarsku razvijenost, tako i na cjelokupnu društveno-ekonomsku razvijenost regije. Ovo se osobito odnosi i na transfer ekonomskih znanja koja predstavljaju jednu od najznačajnijih temeljnih sastavnica regionalnog razvoja. Međutim, valja imati na umu da riječ treba biti isključivo o održivom regionalnom razvoju. To ujedno, interaktivno, implicira kako mora biti riječ i održivom razvoju sveučilišta, odnosno članica u njihovom sastavu. Na tragu prethodnoga, održivi razvoj se u radu promatra na temelju akronima LIFE (limits, interdepedence, fundamentals i equity) i pritom se ustanovljavaju strateški koraci koji se moraju poduzeti kako bi se održivi razvoj mogao implementirati obostrano, kako u smislu regionalnog razvoja, tako i održivog razvoja sveučilišta odnosno njegovih članica. I ne samo to. Održivi razvoj regije kojoj sveučilište pripada trebao bi se ujedno temeljiti i na gospodarskoj, ali i na svakoj drugoj konkurentskoj prednosti koju konkretna regija dugoročno može ostvarivati zahvaljujući resursima kojima neupitno raspolaže. To ujedno znači kako sveučilišta, izravnim ili neizravnim transferom znanja u gospodarstvo regije kojoj pripadaju ujedno imaju aktivnu ulogu, ali i odgovornost u kreiranju ekonomskog, društvenog i kulturnog života koje se u dugoročnom smislu mora operacionalizirati u smislu održivog regionalnog razvoja. Drugim riječima, znanstvena percepcija regije i njenih resursa tvorit će ujedno i putove njezinog budućeg održivog razvoja. Gledano sa stajališta čitave zemlje, odnosno čitave nacionalne ekonomije, prethodno navedeno treba dovesti do sinergijskog efekta koji se treba očitovati u dugoročno održivom općedruštvenom razvoju.

Management Science (MS) is often seen as having an image problem and part of this problem stems from the view of MS as an analysis method. Although there are many exemptions, detailed analysis method is now out of favor with popular management culture. The popularity of ideas suggesting that designs of new ways of doing things should take precedence over analysis of existing ways, particulary business process reengineering, but also total quality management (TQM) and concurrent engineering, is and challenge to ideas that are grounded in analysis. In the paper, it is shown that the new theories show us a world far more complex and unpredictable that Newton’s physics explain. These theories argue that relationships in complex systems, like organizations, are nonlinear, made up of interconnections and branching choises that produced unintended consequences and render the universe unpredictable. Can these theories, now widely dicsussed in the scientific community, provide a new, more accurate lens for viewing organizations?

Im thematischen Rahmen unseres Symposiums nimmt der Begriff Globalisierung einen wichtigen Platz ein. Globalisierung wurde bislang beinahe als Modewort aufgefasst, doch sie wird heutzutage, im Lichte der wirtachaftliche Entwicklungen haben, die immer mehr die Form von wirtschaftlichen Abhaengigkeiten annehmen.

Obrazovanje treba članove društva u optimalnoj mjeri osposobiti za društvene promjene koje su u tijeku ili koje se mogu očekivati. U tom pravcu obrazovanjem pojedinac stječe bitna saznanja o neminovnosti društvenih promjena, ali isto tako i saznanja koja mu mogu omogućiti da u društvenim promjenama i aktivno sudjeluje. Društveni marketing koji u realizaciji prethodno navedenog može pripomoći, moguće je definirati kao primjenu marketinga u procesu realizacije društvenih ciljeva koji kao temeljno ili pak izvedeno ishodište nemaju prvenstveno dobit, već zadovoljenje potreba koje imaju općedruštveni ili pak socijalni karakter. Upravo zbog toga, u svakom subjektu društvenog marketinga potrebno je identificirati ove razlike, te spoznati karakter marketing-programa konkretnog subjekta društvenog marketinga kako bi se on aktivnim pristupom nositeljima potreba, odnosno ciljnoj skupini, i prezentirao. Kakva je situacija s mogućom primjenom marketinga u obrazovanju, osobito na sveučilištu, pokušalo se odgovoriti u ovome radu. Na tragu tog cilja u radu su istaknute odgovarajuće posebnosti marketinga u obrazovanju, a osobito posebnosti marketinga prilikom njegove primjene na fakultetima, odnosno šire gledano na sveučilištu. U tom pravcu objašnjavaju se marketing-ciljevi fakulteta, te raščlanjuje marketing-mix fakulteta. Zasebno se značenje daje i strategijskom planiranju fakulteta i u tom cilju daje prikaz izvršene SWOT-analize na primjeru Ekonomskog fakulteta u Osijeku. Naposljetku, iznose se i mogući oblici marketing-organizacije na sveučilištu.

In diesem text werden die moeglichkeiten und die Praxis planmaessiger veraenderungen in kroatischen Unternehmen erwogen. Untersucht werden vor allem jene veraenderungen, die in den bereichen der Definition der Strategie zur Wartungsentwicklung und ihrer Organisation, Technologie und ihren Arbeitsbedingungen sowie im Bereich der menschlichen Ressourcen liegen.

Die Anfang deises Jahrzehnts in allen Laendern Mittel-und Osteuropas begonnenen wirtschaftlichen und politischen Veraenderungen fuehrten auch zu neeuen Zielsetzungen beim Loesen der gemeinsamen Probleme sowohl in den entwickelten Laendern Europas als auch in jenen, welche komplizierte Transitionsaktivitaeten in Angriff genommen haben. Resultat dieser Anstrengungen sind auch gemeinsame Projekte, die eben mit dem Ziel entsantden sind. Die Wirstschaftsfakultaet hat mit den Prtnern aus Deautschland und aus Ungarn einige solcher Projekte entwickelt.

Ruski matematičar i ekonomist Leonid Vitaslovič Kantorovič i profesor nacionalne ekonomije na Yale University Tjaling Charles Koopmans podijelili su 1975. godine Nobelovu nagradu za ekonomske znanosti za njihove doprinose teoriji optimalnog korištenja resursa.

Okrugli stol na temu "Mjesto i položaj slavonije i Baranje u sustavu europskih prometnih koridora" održan je u okviru 17.skupa o prometnim sustavima "Automatizacija u prometu '97" u trajanju od 19-21.11.1997. godine (Osijek/Bizovac, Hrvatska; Budimpešta, Mađarska). Sudjelovanjem su autori obradili regionalni pristup infrastrukturi i produktivnosti korištenjem funkcija proizvodnje.

This article surveys the use of mathematical programming model for media selection. A primary goal of this surveys is to identify research avenues for people in media selection based on fuzzy phenomena. It suggests a solution procedure which combine computing efficiency by using linear programming with good modeling properties by exploring the theory of fuzzy sets.
