The main aim of this paper is to analyze, through the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) methodology, the contextual relationships between the systematization of benefits influenced by Industry 4.0 technologies in the banking services sector from the perspective of Sustainability 4.0. The proposed ISM approach was structured based on 14 benefits capable of influencing Sustainability 4.0 in the services sector through I4.0 technologies. The results showed that Macro (5) and Customer (8) benefits have a direct influence on all other S4.0 benefits in the banking sector. The article presents valuable managerial implications for managers of organizations that intend to or currently use 4.0 technologies in the banking services sector. A priori, the search for economic advantages appears to be a catalyst with greater influence on the model. However, this is not entirely evident, since there appears to be a strong interconnection between social, environmental, and economic benefits. This suggests that the search for other attributes beyond financial aspects can generate advantages for the organization considered essential for the type of business explored. Aim. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the concept and structure of the common financial market of the Eurasian Economic Union, highlight the problems of its formation and ways to solve them. Tasks. The objectives of the study are: review and analysis of the definitions of the common financial market in the legal framework of the Eurasian Economic Union; highlighting key aspects of the development of the common financial market; defining its structure, problems of formation, proposing ways to solve them.Methods. Methods were used: institutional analysis, comparative analysis, system analysis to substantiate aspects of the formation and structure of the common financial market of the Eurasian Economic Union. The method of formal logical analysis was also used to clarify the concepts of the common financial market in various acts of the integration level.Results. Firstly, at the level of the Eurasian Economic Union, the concept and criteria of a common financial market have been established.Secondly, a broad and narrow understanding of the structure of the common financial market in the context of Eurasian integration is highlighted.Thirdly, the key aspects of the development of the common financial market are: expanding the range and accessibility of financial services; ensuring the rights of consumers of financial services and investors; security and transparency of financial services.Fourthly, the problems of forming a common financial market are highlighted, including the different levels of development of the markets of the integration member states, the weak sector of the securities and investment markets.Conclusions. The common financial market is part of Eurasian integration, the processes of formation of such a market are components of integration processes. The structure of the general financial market in the narrow sense includes the banking and insurance services sector, the securities market sector, and the relations between these sectors. A broad understanding of the structure of the general financial market additionally includes the tax, budget and currency areas.

The study's population comprised 18,203 individuals who were registered customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency as of December 2022. The authors decided to use a sample of 100 people because the sampling technique refers to the minimum sample size in PLS-SEM, which is 30-100 sample sizes. A purposive sampling technique was used for the sample withdrawal procedure in order to take into account customers who had saved for about six months. Techniques for gathering data include written data or primary data, interviews, and questionnaires (Google Form). The author used the SmartPLS 4.0 for the data analysis, to demonstrate any partial direct influence between the independent and dependent variables. The study's findings are as follows: 1) variables related to Islamic banks' digitalization partially affect banking innovation; 2) variables related to Islamic banks' digitalization partially affect customer satisfaction; 3) variables related to banking innovation partially affect customer satisfaction; 4) variables related to banking services partially affect banking innovation; 5) variables related to banking service partially affect customer satisfaction; 6) variables related to trust partially affect banking innovation; and 7) variables related to trust partially have no positive and insignificant effect on customer satisfaction. Insurance promotes financial resilience for individuals and households, aiding them in risk management and welfare improvement. Despite concerted efforts by countries and international bodies to promote financial inclusion through various programs, the roles of life and non-life insurance remain underemphasized as measure to close the financial gap in most countries. Our research is motivated by the realization that the existing literature lacks a unified measure of financial inclusion that considers the impact of life and non-life insurance. The objective of this study is to examine the roles of insurance and banking services in financial inclusion through an innovative measure. This study employs Principal Component Analysis to compute different sets of a multidimensional Financial Inclusion Index (FI index) that incorporate banking, life, and non-life insurance indicators for 72 countries from 2015 to 2019. When the role of life insurance is considered, some countries experience significant leaps in their financial inclusion levels, while the opposite holds true for most countries regardless of their developmental stage. In the meantime, non-life insurance has a strong positive impact on the overall financial inclusivity of the sample countries, with more than half of them recording higher financial inclusion. These results necessitate a reevaluation of financial inclusion strategies worldwide. We advocate for a more comprehensive approach that integrates insurance services into the financial system alongside traditional banking, especially non-life insurance given its significant contribution in enabling financial inclusion. Introduction: The Republic of Moldova's economy faces risks caused by the war in Ukraine and the economic crisis, proving that citizens' prosperity is essential for national stability and that financial knowledge influences the standard of living. A minimum financial education provides information, knowledge, and tools to make correct decisions based on informed consent in an increasingly complex financial system. In the financial-banking and academic environment, in-depth research of consumers' financial education level helps to optimise, streamline, and balance bank–client relations with fairness. This work is the consequence of studying the level of financial education among consumers of financial-banking services, with direct implications for their financial well-being. Purpose: The main aim of this research is to measure the financial knowledge of consumers of financial-banking services, developing recommendations for measures to improve the situation. Methodology: To explain the factors of influence, the following research techniques were used: analysis and synthesis of conceptual approaches to financial education; deduction and induction; analysis of the findings of sociological research on the level of financial education of users of financial-banking services; and recommendation synthesis. Findings: The research validates that enhancing financial education has a positive effect on individuals and the economy, reinstates confidence in financial markets, makes an innovative contribution to accurately assessing consumers' financial knowledge enabling the implementation of proactive measures. Implications: This chapter provides insights into consumers' financial education level, serving as a crucial indicator for institutions and public authorities in formulating and promoting effective educational initiatives to ensure minimal skill gaps. The digital age has brought about a revolution in the way we manage our finances, with more and more financial services moving online. However, not all communities have the same level of digital competency, leading to disparities in access to financial services. This study delves into the digital competencies' framework necessary for financial services to sustain vulnerable communities in the digital era. The COVID‐19 pandemic has accelerated the digital shift, leaving many communities struggling to adapt. The study aims to understand the challenges and opportunities presented by this shift, and how key stakeholders can support disadvantaged communities in developing their digital skills and accessing resources. The "Digital Financial Services Consumer Competency Framework" was identified as most appropriate for the study. Respective governments and other key stakeholders must assist with the development of digital hubs, from which vulnerable communities can access digital skills and resources. The research method used is a systematic literature review of 19 published papers, which were analyzed to generate statistics, visualization maps, and theories for the study. The study primarily aims to assess the relationship between financial technology and the quality of banking services, as well as enhancing the competitive capabilities of banks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study yielded several key findings, including the significant contribution of electronically processed information to providing banking services by reducing geographical distances and traditional barriers. This, in turn, increases customer confidence and satisfaction, thereby bolstering the competitive capabilities of the bank. This study aimed to identify the impact of the digital buyer decsion process in its constrains (problem recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, purchase decision, post-purchase evolution), on the online promotion in its dimensions (websites, social media pages, search engines) for banking services in Islamic Banks operating in Jordan. The descriptive analytical approach was used to match it with the nature and objectives of the study, and the study population consisted of (4) Islamic Banks operating in Jordan, the study sample included all customers of Islamic Banks in Jordan, and the questionnaires was distributed electronically to the proper sample. (523) were analyzed, The SPSS softweare was used for the purposes of statistical analysis and testing the study hypotheses. The study recommended a number of recommendations, and the most important is that any customer service department should be directed to pay more attention to customers' feedback; prior to any marketing campaign for banking products and services, banks should strictly review online contents, matching them with the actual services offered to customers, study the buying process duration to improve it through reducing required steps for online purchases. The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of Total Quality Management on the quality of banking services in banks operating in the state of South Darfur - By studying the impact of the four dimensions of total quality management (senior management support, continuous improvement, customer focus, and information-based decision-making) on the quality of banking services, the study used the descriptive analytical approach using the questionnaire as a tool to collect field study data, where the study sample consisted of (100) individual employees of banks operating in the state of South Darfur - Nyala city, The study concluded that there is a statistical impact of Total Quality Management on the quality of banking services in banks operating in the state of South Darfur, There is a statistical effect of continuous improvement on the quality of banking services, there is a statistical effect of making decisions based on information on the quality of banking services, and there is a statistical impact of senior management support on the quality of banking services, the study recommended the need for senior management to adopt the Total Quality Management System in all its banking activities, and work on the application and evaluation of the Total Quality Management System in banks on an ongoing basis. The ambiguous evidence regarding the linkages between firm size and ESG risk in the relevant literature justifies the need for their further scientific investigation. A particularly interesting context for this task is offered by the banking industry, where financial institutions face both strong incentives to expand the scale of their activities and high reputational risk sensitivity. Given the above, this paper aims to systematize and enhance the theoretical underpinnings of the relationship between firm size and ESG risk in banks, highlighting its likely non-linear character, and to investigate it empirically in the cross-section of the international banking industry. This research employs uni- and multivariate, and linear and non-linear regression analyses applied to a sample of 668 banks that were assigned the Morningstar Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating for the year 2021. The results demonstrate that, although, on average, size seems to be associated negatively with ESG risk in the cross-section, the relationship is in fact non-linear and follows a U-shaped pattern. The findings are robust regarding the impact of both country-specific contextual factors and outliers. This study emphasizes the importance of diseconomies of scale in ESG risk management, thus offering some important lessons and recommendations for bank executives and equity investors. This research aims to know the impact of information technology in developing work in private Iraqi banks, and what are the most important obstacles that can limit its impact in developing work in Iraqi private banks and suggest appropriate solutions to address them, as well as knowing whether there is compatibility between information technology Used in private Iraqi banks and developments taking place in banking at the local and global levels. After conducting statistical analysis, it became clear that there is a statistically significant relationship between information technology and the development of work in private Iraqi banks, as information technology contributes to increasing the flexibility of banking operations, speeds up their completion processes, and makes them easier than before. It also contributes to providing services. new to customers, in addition to its contribution to reducing the errors committed by humans, As for his most important recommendations, banks should pay greater attention to information technology and increase their reliance on it because it has a significant impact on developing their work and improving their performance, thus enhancing their ability to survive and compete in the banking market.

The article discusses the issuance of notices by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to banks and merchant banks regarding the management of outsourced relevant services. The notices set out requirements for ongoing outsourced services and the disclosure of customer information to service providers. MAS has also published guidelines on outsourcing in conjunction with the notices. The article also mentions MAS's requirement for financial institutions to conduct and respond to reference checks to mitigate the risk of individuals with misconduct moving between firms without disclosure. This article presents an analysis of the behavior of Polish women in the banking services market. The empirical material is the results of surveys conducted among 1217 randomly selected Polish women. Using the collected and organized empirical material, developed in a descriptive, tabular, and graphical form, through the method of comparative analysis, the article estimates Polish women’s level of interest in basic banking products, and their preferred forms of payment. It determines the level of customer satisfaction with the current banking service (the product portfolio offered, service quality, and bank employees’ approaches to serving women). In addition, it examines the attitudes of Polish women to the need to create an offer dedicated to women and a bank that would serve only women. This confirms the research hypothesis that Polish women do not see the need to create a special bank for women, but they expect more interest from banks in providing them with an offer specially dedicated to women. The results presented in the article expand the state of knowledge about the behavior of Polish women in the banking services market.

Digital banks must promote on social media to attract tech-savvy young consumers who use social media extensively. Creating brand loyalty among digital banking customers is necessary to increase retention and motivate them to spend more with the preferred financial brand. This study investigates the impact of social media marketing on brand loyalty and continued usage intentions among young Vietnamese digital banking service consumers. This study employed a quantitative methodology, with a five-point Likert scale questionnaire administered online via non-probability sampling. The sample comprised 244 Vietnamese consumers aged 18 to 35, representing the young consumer segment. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that exposure to social media marketing substantially positively impacts brand loyalty. It was discovered that brand loyalty positively influences the intention to continue using the same digital banking provider. However, social media marketing did not influence continued usage intentions directly. Instead, brand loyalty mediated the positive relationship between social media marketing and future digital banking service usage intentions. The findings have important implications for digital banks’ customer engagement and branding strategies to establish long-lasting relationships with the crucial youth demographic via social media platforms. After 1994, in South Africa many people saw the declaration of the previously side-lined indigenous languages as official languages as a move towards respecting and promoting indigenous languages. The main objective of this study is to assess the use of isiZulu in banking services in Durban, KwaZulu- Natal. The focus was on whether isiZulu is used as a language of communication in the banking service and to check whether consumers receive documents in the language they prefer, particularly in isiZulu. The qualitativeresearch approach was used, and the study followed a case study design. Semi- structured interviews were used to collect data, and a wealth of data was generated by thick descriptions of participant responses. The data from semi- structured interviews were recorded and decoded into categories, and the categories were reduced to thematic constructs. Twelve purposively selected participants were involved in the study. The findings revealed that even though isiZulu was incorporated into the banks’ policies as a language that which was supposed to be used, this was not practiced since English was predominantly used, at the expense of isiZulu. The findings further revealed that English was the only language used even in customer documents such as letters and pamphlets, and isiZulu was used mainly for oral communication. The findings also revealed that there was a lack of terminology in the isiZulu language for certain English words. It was recommended that translators be needed to assist with the communication. loyalty programs in banking need to look at the dynamics of female consumers, especially when digital businesses dominate marketing transactions. In the literature, segmentation studies are mostly carried out on retail services, airlines, and hotels, which are rare in banking, especially related to loyalty program services. Therefore, this study is expected to close the gap without a segmentation study in a banking context. This study aims to identify the female customer segment by assessing the bank's loyalty program and relating it to its perceived convenience, security, and reliability. The study employed the two most prominent banks in Indonesia, with 208 female customers as respondents. The purposive sampling method was used as a method of selecting samples. Data were reduced using factor analysis and categorized using cluster analysis. The main result identifies four factors underlying the benefits of loyalty programs: quality of communication, policy, rewards, and website quality. Three segments of loyalty program female consumers were identified: apathetic (25%), active (31%), and passive segments (44%). In further analysis, three segments of females were analyzed regarding the bank saving account's convenience, reliability, and security. Results confirm that all three segments were unique and distinguished one from another. This study's implication guides managing the types of female customers at the bank, especially loyalty programs.

The purpose of the study is to discuss the importance of brand trust in the banking industry in the Philippines. This study aims to determine various factors' effect on customer loyalty in a banking service environment. It empirically tests a model that proposes that consumer brand trust and brand effect influence consumer brand loyalty. We used a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypothesis and model. The findings indicated that customer satisfaction influenced consumer brand loyalty. Additionally, the results have a positive, though nonsignificant, the indirect effect of consumer brand trust on the relationship between satisfaction and consumer loyalty.

The role objective of this paper is identified, from geographical forms of the city of Buenos Aires, the trails of money in the movement between urban economy dynamics. The banking businesses have been using geographical forms in Buenos Aires with particular functions: they offer financial services for payments of the most diverse items. In fact, we look at some situations in Buenos Aires, concerning street shops and banking activities. Service providers are in a fierce competition for their clients' loyalty, encouraging them to participate in loyalty programs or to install mobile applications. Split loyalty is becoming more popular on the banking services market. This means that customers are loyal to two or three companies or service providers by buying or using their products or services interchangeably. This phenomenon may be further explained by the liberalization of the banking sector, for example through the Payment Services Directive (PSD2). Whilst the unbanked are a commonly analyzed subject, the overbanked have not yet been examined in the literature. The aim of the current article is to answer the following question: is having accounts in multiple banks connected with customer recklessness or consumer awareness? The analysis carried out by the author of this paper shows that people who have accounts in many banks: are aware of the guaranteed amounts of deposits in banks operating in Poland, compare offers in different banks, and are less likely to be victims of phishing. Today, interbank competition is gaining momentum, so the introduction and development of innovative technologies in the provision of banking services is becoming particularly relevant. In addition, the improvement of innovative technologies in the banking sector will ensure the efficient operation of the banking system and increase the level of the economy of Ukraine by increasing innovative ways of carrying out financial transactions. The goal is to study the prospects for the integration of financial technologies in the banking sector, to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as threats and opportunities for the influence of these technologies in the banking industry. The theoretical and methodological main articles are the works of Ukrainian scientists on the implementation of banking innovations and financial technologies. Empirical and theoretical research methods were used in the research process, which made it possible to reveal the essence of the concept of innovative activity and innovative technologies. An analysis of modern promising innovative technologies in Ukraine and in the world was carried out. With the help of SWOT analysis, the strengths and weaknesses of innovative technologies, such as: ManuScan, electronic wallets, electronic payment systems, were investigated. Special attention was paid to the category of threats of such innovative technologies as hacking and virus attacks, since these innovative technologies are used in the banking and financial system at the state level. Innovative technologies are analyzed as a complete innovation of changes in the activity of the financial sphere of Ukraine with the aim of improving the use of the banking and financial sphere of Ukraine, increasing monetary transactions both on the territory of Ukraine and outside of it. The activity of banking institutions using the latest, improved financial products and services is considered. The practical value of the study is that it can become a basis for achieving stable and efficient functioning of banks in the future, as well as provide recommendations for the implementation of the latest electronic payment systems, which are currently gaining popularity

PURPOSE: The banking sector is under intense pressure from digitalization. One of the accompanying processes is the development of digital platforms and platform ecosystems in banking services. The paper aims to present the dynamic pattern of behavior among partners stemming from the tensions between governance costs and co-created value within platforms in banking services. METHODOLOGY: The study employs an approach based on a systematic literature review of 54 publications selected from Scopus and WoS databases. We applied an approach that consists of two steps. The first step of the research was a literature review and critical analysis of the sources related to our research questions. In the second step, we propose a causal loop diagram research procedure, which is a research system dynamic tool used in modeling system dynamics. FINDINGS: There are different types of platforms, and among the most important are blockchain-based and cloud-based platforms. In both types, the relations between owners, complementors, and customers are important. The tension between governance costs and co-created value informs behavior patterns among platform partners. The degree of interconnectedness between platform participants and the level of centralization of banking services depends on the platform type. The study highlights that blockchain-based and cloud-based platforms play a significant role in the transformation of the current banking services. The choice of platform type has important implications for the platformization of banking services. IMPLICATIONS: The pattern of behavior among platform partners identifies the self-reinforcing dynamics that suggest how managers can navigate the tension over time amidst the asymmetry of benefits and risks. The research findings can be informative for financial regulators and they help work out a policy that reduces the asymmetry of benefits and contributes to the more sustainable development of digital platforms. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: This paper addresses the paradox perspective on the banking sector changes during the intensive processes of digitalization and the creation of new ‘platform ecosystems.’ This topic has not been studied in this context so far.

The problems of protecting economic competition in the banking system, increasing the efficiency of competition regulation, taking into account the modern realities of digitalization and the widespread use of advanced financial technologies are gaining increasing importance and relevance. An effective state policy in the field of protecting economic competition is the key to effective protection of the interests of banking services consumers. The formation of a fair competitive environment in the banking system of the Republic of Armenia needs increasing the role of the competition authority, to create legal and institutional prerequisites for its effective interaction with the Central Bank of the country. The underestimation of the role of the competition authority of the Republic of Armenia for two decades has led to low rates of detection of anti-competitive agreements and concerted actions, abuse of dominant position, and limited advocacy of competition. Competitive regulation in the sphere of banking services in the Republic of Armenia is of priority importance, taking into account the influence of the banking system on the formation of a favorable business climate and on the development of the national economy. The threat of cartelization of the banking system, the risks of pursuing a coordinated policy by commercial banks, and the conclusion of anti-competitive agreements necessitate the development of effective measures and tools for identifying anti-competitive practices of commercial banks. Far from diminishing the role of the Central Bank in ensuring financial stability, regulating the activities of commercial banks, it is obvious that the role of the competition authority must be increased, since only effective interaction between the two state structures can ensure the formation of a fair competitive environment and effective monitoring of the activities of commercial banks in the context of competition regulation. Based on the analysis of indicators of market concentration of the banking system of the Republic of Armenia, conclusions on the level of development of competition are presented, as well as proposals for improving the efficiency of competition regulation.

The Banking Control Law j 966 (BCL 1966) is a key piece of the Saudi banking regulatory regime. Since its enactment just under 60 years ago it has seen little amendment. This is notwithstanding the fact that the banking and finance industry in Saudi has changed substantially during that period. In recognition of this fact the Saudi Central Bank (known as SAMA as it was formerly called the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority), is of the view that there is an urgent need to update the current banking regulatory regime to rejlect the developed state of the banking and. finance sector and to keep pace with international developments and practices. On 26 January 2023, SAMA released a draft of the new banking law (DBL 2023). It contains some of the most substantial changes to the BCL 1966 since its inception. This article discusses the proposed changes and their origin in Saudi Vision 2030. It argues that most of the changes are worthwhile but as yet some important issues surrounding the place of Sharia in the banking system have not been reconsidered. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
